Ive been using Custom Airs AC service since 2012. Ive been using their plumbing side service since 2017. Ive always had great service, and have maintenance programs with them on both the AC and plumbing sides. Theyve always been responsive, professional, and fair in their pricing. Have been working with Custom Air since November of 2020 and each of their technicians are professional and attentive. I signed up with their maintenance agreement and was impressed with the lengths the technicians go to to insure my HVAC system is clean and working appropriately. Very appreciative for their expertise!

In August of 2020, they recommended we replace our AC/Heat Pump system. Their technician came out and recommended the proper unit for our condo. We purchased a new unit which they installed end of August. There were immediately problems with the unit shutting down and giving error codes. They have been out numerous times, usually resetting the unit and telling us it’s working, only for it to shut down an hour later. During the last few months they have also replaced the thermostat, and the TXV valve on this supposedly, brand new unit.The most recent repair-adjusting the pan safety switch kept the unit from shutting down when the pan got filled with water. Fortunately, we have a water leak sensor or the whole condominium hallway would have flooded! Now they want to rebuild the plenum.Given all these problems, we have asked for them to replace the unit or refund our money. According to many of the technicians who have been out we are eligible for a warranty change out. We have repeatedly tried to reach the owner and service manager to be told they are unavailable. Emails have not received any response. At this point, we have no confidence in the product they sold us, their service or their company and do not think it’s a good idea to use them.

Responsive but expensive! Almost $300 for a shower valve replacement. Other plumbing companies do not add diagnostic fee on top of the service. Would not use again bc of pricing.

I called first thing in the morning and was told repair person would be there in the afternoon. I received an email at approximately 3 pm saying the repair person, Joe, was on his way. 45 minutes later I called because Joe had not arrived. He was just arriving at that point and did an evaluation of the problem. He left the building without providing any feedback or what the follow up will be. I called the office again and was told Joe was getting a written proposal drafted that we would have in a couple of days. Meanwhile, we have rooms that are wicked hot... I said this was not acceptable and I wanted to know what was wrong and that we did not need a written proposal. I was told Joe would call me back. At 4:43 pm when I had not heard from Joe, I called again and the office was closed. Awful company who does not do what they say they are going to do. My advice....GO ELSEWHERE!!

Mark, our technician, is the absolute best! He’s such a pleasure to have at our home. This company is great. Responsive, on time and gets the job done. Thank you for your great service

Booking the service was fast and easy. Daniel came out to check for a leak in my A/C. There were limited parts left in Sarasota but Dan talked to his parts department to make sure they could get the part in one day and install it on that same day. He was sensitive to my situation and did an unbelievable job. Dan and the other gentleman were kind, efficient and professional. I HIGHLY recommend them. It was a huge bonus that their quote was significantly less that 2 other quotes I received. Honest, hard working, beautiful job. Thank you both very much.

As a Realtor of 42 years and owner of a real estate company we depend on Custom Air and Plumbing. They are knowledgeable and respond to emergencies.We call them for air conditioning and plumbing needs and have for years. The are professional and take the time to explain complex details so that as a Realtor I am educated on why something needs to be corrected. They are awesome.

Custom Air went above and beyond for me. It was discovered late on a Friday afternoon in mid August that my compressor had broken down. They did not have a new one in stock, which meant that I had to wait until Monday to see if their local supplier had one, which they didn’t. Sara in the parts Dept was able to locate a compressor, but it was all the way down in Naples. For whatever reason, the supplier was having shipping problems. So as not to keep me waiting any longer than necessary while it’s 92 degrees out, Custom Air had an employee drive down to Naples to get the compressor, and thankfully it was installed the following day. That is excellent customer service! Also, everyone that I came in contact with, from Jackie and Kathy (the Ladies who answer the phones), to Sara, to Roy, Dylan, Dan, and Jim (the technicians)....they were all very professional and helpful. Thank you all so much, you are a great bunch of people!

PREPAID for a maintenance plan but due to Covid, I was not comfortable scheduling service in May. Called yesterday to schedule the service and also RENEW my contract with them an I was told I have waited too long and they would no longer honor my PREPAID maintenance because it would throw off the maintenance schedule. I kindy asked if they would reconsider since I was also renewing my contract with them and they REFUSED. Hopefully the owners will read this and reconsider. All Im asking for was service that I had ALREADY PAID FOR! Its a shame I have to get their attention this way but if they respond positively, I will update my review. Im also including this quote directly off their website regarding their commitment to service during these unprecedented times. Weve had Custom Air come out and do some routine Maintenance and move a conduit line per our request. Marq was the first Technician we dealt with, he was very kind and professional. John was the second Technician, he also did an amazing job. Custom Air is Awesome!God Bless.

As a vacation rental property, we need a reliable and knowledgeable team to call for HVAC and plumbing. We have been very happy with their HVAC & plumbing installation services. Unfortunately they dont have enough plumbers, but we do like them when we can get on the schedule.For HVAC service calls, it depends on who they send...a number of their technicians are excellent.

Had called another company 2 times and problem was not fixed. Brad came and assessed problem. Sent Micheal and Andre out and our problem was fixed right away. Thank you!

Id like to start off by saying that everyone I dealt with provided exceptional customer service. The team that came out to do the install was phenomenal. They were all the things you hope to expect when hiring a contractor (courteous, friendly and professional); but what stood out was how knowledgeable the were. Whenever I asked a question I got a quick but comprehensive answer. Great job!

Custom Air installed a system in 2018 which took several weeks on its own. We have had 18 tech visits since the install.They cycled different techs who said the previous techs made mistakes which they tried to correct. All of which are too long to list here. They damaged our other AC unit in the house and caused a leak which ruined the ceiling. I had to pay to have that repaired. The dismissed my invoice to them for the repairs.We still sit with issues and was told the owner would be in touch with us several weeks ago. I then got a letter from the county saying the permit is still open and they are going to charge me to keep it open 1 year after the install. Informed Custom Air and they lied about trying to reach me to close out the permit. We are still waiting on Custom Air to respond.

The entire team assigned to us was professional and reliable. We needed a new system on very short notice, and they made it happen. Chad orchestrated the project and spent a considerable amount of time educating us and answering our questions. There were a number of minor adjustments and questions that arose after installation and again Chad was there to help and was very responsive. We really had a very good experience and their approach, particularly from Chad, was comforting.

Hello Chad/Custom Air CrewJust wanted to tell you that we are LOVING our new Trane Heat Pump. I do believe it is even quieter than I could have imagined it could be. I was also suitably impressed with your installation crew. They obviously knew what they were doing and finished things up in a much shorter time than I would have expected. I am also COMPLETELY SATISFIED with the quality of their work. Not sure if we will ever get some kind of paper to fill out asking us about that or not... so I just thought I would say that up front.Also, we got the paperwork from Wells Fargo the other day on the 15 month interest free financing. That seems to have gone exactly as it should have and the balance on the account is just what it should have been as well. Our A/C in a new home that we moved into in August 2018 went out on New Years Eve. We reached a Custom Air representative around 7 p.m. We were pleasantly SHOCKED when the rep. told us that he would be at our home, over an hour away from his location, by 9:30 p.m. Thank you, Fernando!! Additionally, he was very knowledgeable and congenial. He also scheduled a time for a representative to come out and correct the problem.Today, January 2, another representative came out to be sure that the unit was in good operational condition. Bruce was very informative about maintenance plans, changed filters and left 2 for future use. We are very pleased with the service provided by Custom Air.

We have lived in our home since built, 14 years now. When our neighborhood was younger, we discovered Custom Air and eventually purchased an annual service plan to maintain our unit. With the advice and help of Custom Air employees, especially Marc, our unit has lasted 14 years now.Tonight, it finally showed it is on its last legs. Mike, another tech, was on call and came out to see what he could do. Where other techs and other companies could have simply called it quits, still charging us for the call, Mike stayed for hours, until well after dark, rewiring and doing all he could to keep us cool in the 90 degree plus heat. He was pleasant, professional, and had no problem answering my every question. As we need a new unit, I had many questions. He is even taking the time to bring one of their sales reps up to speed to save me time, should I choose to purchase a new unit from them. He also did not apply any pressure to me to only consider Custom Air, respecting my right to research first with such an expensive and important purchase.In my experience, Custom Air has not always been the cheapest, but they have always worked to be reasonable and to not only address my concerns but educate me along the way, earning my business each time.I do not know who we will buy a new unit from, but if the price is right, I will certainly buy from Custom Air.Thank you Mike and Marc for all you have done to keep us cool.

On Wednesday my unit was struck by Lightening and parts inside burned, besides the fireman, Custom Air came right away to assess. The unit was beyond repair so Jacob with custom air came right over brought me a window unit to give us some relief and had a new system installed by Friday. The installer Devin was also just wonderful he worked so hard and stayed late to ensure we were all taken care of and new system was up and running for us. Thanks so much guys!

Our AC simply stopped working last night (Friday.) Immediately sent an email to Custom Air detailing the issue. Dan from Custom Air was there by 11:00 am Saturday and promptly fixed the drainage problem that was causing the intermittent shut off. Highest marks all around for the prompt, friendly, professional service.

Custom Air installed all of my air conditioning equipment when I built my house 6 years ago and it is the only company I use for all of my semi-annual system maintenance. They always do a very good job and Bobbie the Customer service rep is a 5 star person who always does a great job with any questions or requests that I have!

Within an hour of my call they had an extremely polite tech out to me and he had it up and running again. The fact that the bill was less than I had expected is icing on the cake. Great value for the money and I will definitely be using them for my future A/C woes.

Had water heater replaced. Tech was great. Called when he was on his way.Only took approx 1.5 min to replace.Excellent service and tech.

This was the BEST decision I made! From the education on AC units from Jake, to speaking with the owner Brad, to the installation gentlemen, who were so polite, this company does an excellent job! I already am noticing a sizable difference in my FPL bill- approx. 3.00/day this summer. When you add this all up, it was worth the upgrades. Thanks for spending time to educate me on my various options!

Lost AC in the PM. My regular company told me they were sending a man down from Tampa. Called Custom Air and they sent local guy over in one hour. They now have a new customer. Very happy.

Our experience was great! Their quick, courteous service and honesty of their service technician Andy saved us quite a bit of money and ensured us that we made the right decision by calling them. We will definately be using Custom Air & Plumbing in the future!

A/C broke over weekend and was recommended Custom Air by my HOA. Technician Bruce wanted to leave before it was fixed and when I told him issue was not fixed and pointed out that there was still problem. He stormed out and shouted, Why dont you just leave me alone and let me do my job!! Irony is that if he had done his job properly first time I wouldnt have to point it out. He did stay and fix, but never apologized for his incredible rudeness. All these companies are the same really. I dont see how Custom Air is better and I plan to let our association know that I dont see why they are recommending Custom Air, which is pretty much one of the most expensive companies in town.

Andrew was in our home this morning to install a garbage disposal for us. He is not only a very nice and personable fellow who conducts himself like a gentleman, he was very thorough and clean. Would recommend anybody use Custom Air and Plumbing and ask for Andrew if you need plumbing done in your home.

I want to thank their team for their great service. I blew up my shower trying to be that man in the commercial that his wife says no way your fixing it, we are calling the professionals in here. Well, it was Christmas week, I think Eve of not sure, they were booked, no room, no people, but the office secretary heard my story and was on it. Literally 2 minutes later I get a someones on the way. That alone made my day, their plumber was professional, curteous, and did everything he could to fix my patch job lol . Even gave me compliments on my attempts. But, the job isnt done yet I will keep Google reviewers on their toes. But this company is A+++ service in my book, and the last minute price for coming in was very affordable. Good people.06/26/2019- Follow Up: I realize it is a little late for this but its worth it:These guys did a fantastic job fixing my Bathroom, I even had to call them back in for a drain backup job, I apparently fixed it by the time they got to me and didnt even charge me full price. I tell you this company isalways and will always be on my First to dial list, even if I have to wait, and I never have to BTW. Thank You All.

Dont do it.They have taken over Bob Rizi plumbing who were good. Unfortunately the service is now horrible in every respect.Initially they double charged by accident. Even when amended the bill was still high for a very basic job.I complained and was told that they want to keep my business (a commercial account) and that I would receive a discount on the next job as a good will gesture.I made the mistake of believing this.Another high bill and surprise, surprise no discount and a complete renege on the promise.I have tried phoning them three times to discuss with their plumbing manager (who despite email requests has not called me) but the phone rings out.There are lots of plumbers in Sarasota. Find another, you couldnt do worse than Custom Air.

Terrible job. System installed incorrectly. Cut down supply and return lines to make system fit. Walls and ceilings damaged.

The customer service is terrible.

Our service from Custom Air is always an A+.We were having air flow problems in our condo and Chad came in and re balanced the vents and Wow we have a nice cool condo.
