Went with my husband today and it was the best beach day weve had. It was so relaxing and we didnt have to worry about a thing because Stephen took care of everything! Thank you Stephen for the great service! You were very nice, informative, great! We will definitely come back!

Ive eaten at the Perrys Cafes about 50 times. Mostly shops 1, 2 and 3 (I believe there are five of them total). Food is always fresh and the ingredients are healthy and top quality. And cant beat the location - you cant get any closer to the beach because its ON the beach. People watching galore. Food is a bit expensive but for the whole experience and location, its well worth it. They also rent out bikes, surfboards, roller blades and other equipment. They even have a Butler Service package where you can sit in one of their lounge chairs under an umbrella near the water, and they will bring you food and drinks from the cafe.

Perrys is for those of you seeking a real toes-in-the-sand dining experience, this Santa Monica beachside cafe is made for you! They have shady umbrellas and bike path access. Furthermore, Perrys is the place to pick up bike rentals, boards, and beach equipment for everyone in the family. I came here for Sunday breakfast prior to my beach volleyball tournament. Upon my arrival, there was a very short line. I perused their menu and ordered a Strawberry smoothie and Avocado toast. Staff was amiable and competent; prices were reasonable. My Strawberry smoothie was really fresh and perfectly made to perfection. Similarly, their Avocado toast was fresh, warm and truly one of the best AT Ive had. Plenty of paid parking. Overall, I had a great breakfast and experience. I highly recommend this PC.

Nice location right on the beach. I had the pizza which was fine, but not something Id get again most likely. Would definitely eat here again though. Was hoping for a nice cold beer or glass of wine, but they werent serving alcohol yet. Should be serving it soon they said.While the food was fine, we better enjoyed the location. Worth a visit. Staff was friendly which is always a plus!

We did the beach butler service last week. It was great. Sandra was helpful and attentive. The food we ordered was delivered quickly and was awesome. It was so relaxing to go to the beach and not have to hassle with bringing everything with us. We had a perfect beach day. I also want to complement the booking team. When I placed my reservation online, I made a mistake in the number of packages I ordered. I sent an email to the reservation team and they had it corrected and the refund process started within a half hour of my initial email. The customer service was on point for everything we experienced with Perrys.

Cold beer, nice wine and bar food favories right on the sand at Santa Monica Beach. We had a nice late-afternoon snack in the sunshine!

I hate to give this place a good review because Id rather keep it to myself. Great place to put your toes in the sand, have a decent bite to eat, and enjoy the outdoors. No table service, 😕, friendly staff, water out for dogs, 😃, somewhat inconsistent at the window with special requests (that will be $1.50 extra vs. we dont do that, ??). A little expensive for some things, like $4.50 for a lg Diet Coke, but the food is about right on price. Too many non-purchasers allowed at tables and make everyone leave their bikes outside against the fence please

The food here is awesome! I had one of the better crispy chicken sandwiches Ive ever had and the Caesar salad that came with it was delicious. The restaurant is also right on the beach, where you can either sit under their canopy, on beach chairs, or on wicker furniture. They also sell a coconut drink that you drink right out of the coconut, which is refreshing and cool!

Prices are a bit high, about $30 for a piña colada smothie and a turkey hamburger. Plus I had to pay $10 parking for only two hours that I stayed at the place. Also I asked the cashier if I could use one of the tables and umbrella and She told me to do it under my own responsibility and as soon as I stand up to the trash can they clean the table and unfold the umbrella. Will think twice before visit this place again. In addition the restroom door is broken and I almost got stuck inside of the restroom.

Location is the essence of Perry. That it is in an area not alive with competing businesses vying for attention makes for a lively oasis along a stretch of freshly minted boardwalk-- all the better for morning constitutionals with roller skates or other wheeled fun things. I have not sampled more than the comfort foods you can find anywhere, but there were several creative healthy dishes, especially if you favor fish.I recommend the mango smoothie, as it is perfectly blended and as sweet as you hope.

Great spot to play volleyball and hang out next to clean-ish for the beach bathrooms and a good spot to grab a drink and snack.

For what I thought would be just a so-so food place at the beach, a place to avoid the hike up to get something on Main St., turned out to be some of the best food, drinks, and service Ive had. Ordered a vanilla latte earlier in the day. Guy taking my order was helpful and friendly and the latte was delicious. Then, I returned later for the fried chicken sandwich (w/ caesar salad on the side), banana mango smoothie, and sweet potato fries. Everything was sooo good and fresh. And again, great, friendly service from all 3 individuals I came in contact with. Will definitely return!!!

Great place but FYI they do not sell ANY alcohol. They says they’ve been waiting over a year for the anti-business LA county to approve their license to sell beer & wine. No wonder so many businesses are leaving Kalifornia.

If u want to drink hot tea or coffe on +95 degrees in middle of season this place is right for u, if u want a beer u can dream here because they doesnt have licence for alcohol. Plus on maps here they made as one place boat, bicecles, valleyball and restoraunt like one place so reviews are not reasonable, this 1 star is for restoraunt. Prices are high too.

If youre biking the bike path to PV, Perrys is about to be your bff. Surprisingly really great food. I expected something like hotdog on a stick or some lame lemonade stand and its actually a high quality spot. They dont serve alcohol.

NOT the place to rent bikes.Very old and dirty! and they cost so much (12$ for hour) in comparison to the public rentals (1.75$ for 30 minutes).

Fun bike ride. Tandem bikes are alot trickier to work than I realized.

We visited Santa Monica Beach on Sept. 30, 2020 and the service and food was awesome! We had outstanding butler service from Stephen, who was Informative, courteous, efficient and accommodating. On top of working as the sole butler serviceman that day. He never appeared overwhelmed or impatient. At the time we were there, which was approximately 3.5hrs, there were 4 other beach set-ups as well. This was my first time visiting Perry’s and I will be back as well as recommending to others. Kudos to Perry’s and Stephen! Thank you!

Great little place on the beach offering a great place to people watch as they pass by and watch the volley ball players while drinking coffee and having breakfast . Lots of healthy choices on offer and the service was fast and friendly .

Awful drove 2000 miles and my wife could not get a beach wheelchair to see the ocean. They break their promises.

I had a bad experience purchasing a used bike here. I previously had purchased a used bike and was happy, so I bought a second one. When I got the second one home, I realized one of the tires was in really bad shape in one area. I took it back and asked if there was anything they would be willing to do about it - the first girl was nice and said, oh, absolutely, bring it back this weekend when our repair guy is here. I did that, but the manager at that time (Saturday 8/15) looked at it - she was cold, unapologetic and just said basically tough luck buddy and walked away with an I dont have time for you attitude. clearly, I get it... its a used bike. but Ive been to Perrys many times for various reasons (food, bikes, wetsuit rentals) and she really could have been far more pleasant and helpful. I dont think the company is really trying to get away with selling used bikes that have major issues or hoping the buyer doesnt notice.

This place is disgusting. Tables were dirty. I ate their18 cheese burger. As soon as I took a bite, I could taste and smell that the ground meat patty had gone bad. It smelled spoiled. I dont know how the cook didnt notice the smell.

Seating is in sand. I’ll leave it to you to decide if it is a like or not. I liked it. But I saw a couple with a baby straggling. Food was good. A very generous amount of fries. A not so generous amount of toasts. And ok tacos. You can choose from many different sittings options, and even one table with fire in the center. It was a good break from a long walk, and I believe I will come back here.

Ordered a large french fries and slice of cheese pizza which amounted to $9.00 and some change. Gave them a $100 bill not realizing they short changed me over $20 when I had gotten home. My fault for not paying attention but Seriously!? Dont rip off your customers that badly.

Like someone already said, avoid this place at all costs. Yes, its convenient, but walking a little farther down the boardwalk will give you a MUCH better experience. I went to rent a bike yesterday, and everything seemed fine, $19 for 2 hours isnt bad. Then he asked to hold my credit card and my ID. I totally understand the credit card, but I was headed to the pier for drinks and it doesnt really help to not have your ID. We went back and forth for awhile and he finally said You can have it back if you give me a $150 deposit. Is this guy for real? $150 for a $19 rental. Its ridiculous. I walked half a mile to Sea Mist bike rentals and not only did they not ask to keep my ID, but they were they friendlier, cheaper and open later. Dont waste your time.Another note: If you want chips and guac from this place, go somewhere else. Its mediocre, but the issue is the price. Its one of the only things on the menu without a price but I thought, how expensive can guacamole be? They charged me $15 for what was little more than a few tablespoons.

Great family activity for a good beach day to go biking on the beach. Staff was nice enough but it was so clear that no one wanted to be working today.

At a glance, this place might seem like a tourist trap but both the food and the vibe is on point! The Beach Bowl is delicious. The Pizza is solid. They serve Groundwork coffee (best in LA). And you can chill in lounge chairs with your feet in the sand while you watch volleyball babes and beautiful sunsets. Back story:The mother hasnt had many chances to ride bikes, so I wanted to take her to my favorite bike trail in LA. Didnt think she could handle riding by herself, so we rented a tandem from Perrys near Lot 7 for the bf and the mother, and off we went on our beach cruise.About 2 minutes into our ride, I decided my moms inaugural bike journey should be documented. Against my better judgment, I started recording a video of them riding along the beach. Soon after that--8 seconds to be exact (its on video!)--my face was planted in the pavement, blood oozing from my hands and knees.Fast forward to later, we lugged the tandem back to Perrys hoping for a refund, as I was unable to continue riding. Unfortunately, we barely missed their 15 minute grace period for refunds (we were gone for 20 mins). The employee (Tom Ray) and his supervisor (Jonathan Flores) refused to understand that the time we were away was mostly spent frantically running around looking for band aids, not happily cruising the shore.Lesson:It takes 20 years to build a reputation and 5 minutes to ruin it.-- Warren BuffetIs it Perrys fault I was injured? Absolutely not. However, their customer service mishandled the situation and should have made a circumstantial exception. Instead, Perrys will lose 3 customers for life. And hopefully, your patronage as well.Oh, and dont ride your bike one-handed.Epilogue:Yes, I have recovered, and no, the video is NOT on YouTube.

Hard to find a better spot to sit and eat lunch or have a coffee. The view is great and the food is good as well. My only knock on this spot would be that service was slow.

Great selection that goes well beyond your typical beach shack fare. They even offer breakfast in the morning. Plenty of seats where you can eat and then lounge with your feet in the sand.Kind of expensive, but thats expected from a place on the beach, right?

Bikes are pretty expensive here. It is cheaper to rent one of the citys green bikes than it is for here. Food is okay. Not particularly healthy but edible. The chairs and umbrellas are very nice.

This place should be a prime restaurant. However, the food was overpriced and absolutely disgusting. I would seriously advise people to avoid this restaurant as Im sure at some point their lack of good quality practices will kill someone. Its a shame because of the view you get.

Great location and great offer of different possibilities. From chilling sitting in the sand where you can enjoy food and drinks to rental offers (bikes, inlines, surfers and much more). The staff was not so great. In kiosk, extremely slow. It is a pity that 1 hour after opening you must hear that some things are not available from the offer and it will be possible to order them after one hour.
