I’m assuming it was Mr. Soto that cut my hair. He did a clean high skin fade on me. Took his time and I was very happy. Would go back anytime! Also want to point out that he took every precautionary measure to ensure I knew he was providing a very safe and clean outside haircut environment in regard to our current pandemic.

We recently moved to California and while my son was in town for his winter break from college he went to the world famous barbershop. He really enjoyed the atmosphere, conversation and his haircut.

So glad that COVID-19 pandemic has not deterred Fernando from delivering his superior barber service. If you need a great haircut dont worry. Fernando has set up two outdoor haircut stations and pays very great care to best practices for social distancing and sanitizing. Mask absolutely required.

Got a haircut here on a whim this past Friday. Really good cut at a good price. The owner Soto was my barber and seemed very caring/passionate about what he does. I had a great experience and I highly recommend this spot!

These guys are super sweet and lovely. Patient and kind - and definitely gave me a great haircut (specifically a fade). Really took care of the little details. Prices are pretty good as well. This was my first time here, but I will definitely be coming back.

Terrible customer service. A bit of context, I had my beard trimmed up, only to realize three days later it was done on unevenly. when I called to ask to get it fixed they gave me a hard time and told me “it’s been too long the beard probably just grew back”. Even after I tried to explain it definitely wasn’t a factor of natural growth, they made it clear I couldn’t get it fixed on the weekend as they’re “too busy”. Dude, it’s a 5 minute fix. First an last haircut here.

Since I moved to the west side the only person I get my hair cut has been Fernando. Professional, friendly and fairly priced. What else can you ask for. He never lets you down no matter what hair type you are or style you choose. Five stars well deserved!!!

EDIT: As far as the haircuts go, I had varying experiences. Sometimes good, sometimes not. I kept getting a super high fade (Which I didnt ask for) and without taking proper time, this can cause chunky blending on the sides. They also pay more attention to tapering the back & aides without devoting enough time on top.

In all the years that I have been living and visiting back Santa Monica, I rarely found a place that gives you a good haircut and a clean bear trim, where the owners and their regulars are friendly. Arrived in LA today (3-26-2019) and needed a haircut. Went to Sotos in Santa Monica -- fantastic! Great attention to detail! I travel to Los Angeles frequently and will try to arrange my haircuts at Sotos when Im in LA.

I was really confident with my haircut. Especially that my haircut was done with scissors. And also they know how to use clippers professionally. The owners make you feel welcome and confident and happy. And I would recommend this place to anyone who wants to visit. I am really happy with my haircut.

They both do a very good job. I usually cut my hair with Consuelo (wife). She fades me up really well and cleans up my split ends. Its very hard to find a barber shop that can work well with long and short hair. Ladies and gentlemen this is the spot to go, I highly recommend it. Theyve earned five stars!!!

The husband and wife team are awesome, my bad luck they had a new hire, I requested a trim, 1/4 inch and I was butchered, he cut of much more then 1/4 inch and it’s uneven, way to short.
