Standard haircut is $55, and unfortunately I had to go back to get my neck area trimmed properly.I’ve heard good things about this place, but it didn’t meet expectations. Quality did not seem to match the price (maybe that’s because Lloyd himself didn’t cut my hair)

Lloyds has always been the right barber. They are courteous and professional, often Ill laugh as well.

I’ve had my beard trimmed many different times by different barber shops. This was by far the quickest and best trim I’ve had so far. Staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. Thanks again Lloyd’s for the great trim. I look good 👍🏽

Tried booking online - with no luck. Was told to come in for a walk in, and was told they were fully booked for the night when I got there. I rushed to get here. Not a great experience.Note - it’s a very small shop (1 or 2 chairs) so be aware that they might not be able to see you, even if you call ahead.

What can I say, this is now my favorite place to get my hair cut. Lloyds was heavily recommended to me so I called for an appointment expecting a booked schedule, but there were openings the same day! I booked an afternoon appointment and came by. The shop itself is cozy and has a great decor to it; its small so your experience will always be very personal. Lisa was extremely pleasant and friendly when I came in and offered a choice of beverage (definitely helps to be over 21, thats all Im gonna say) while I waited in the big comfortable armchair for my appointment with Anthony to start.Anthony was also extremely friendly, personable and he did a wonderful job. He took great care and had pride in his work which really shows in the haircut Im sporting now. It was great to see a place where everyone, including the customers were happy. I will be back again, thats absolutely certain - you could go so far to say that Ill be traveling from Chicago to get my haircut at Lloyds in Santa Monica every few months. Thanks Anthony, Lisa and Lloyd for a great experience today, my only regret is I cannot give you 6/5 stars.

It was my first time going here today. My hair was cut by Lloyd himself, and its safe to say I wont ever have to find another barbershop to go to. This is one of the best haircuts Ive ever had in my life, and it took less than a half hour. Dont waste your time elsewhere, go here. Well worth the 45 dollar price tag.

I’ve been going to Lloyd for a few years now, he’s hands down the best barber that I’ve been to in Santa Monica / all of LA. You’ll get a great cut every single time, the shop has a great atmosphere, and Lloyd is an all around great guy. I can’t get my hair cut anywhere else - highly recommend Lloyd’s.

Prices are worth it if youre like me and have no idea how hair works. Theyll figure it out for you. No disappointments

This is a fabulous old school barbershop!! I have been going to get my haircut from Brandon now for the past year and half pretty regularly and he has always cut my hair amazingly! Both Brandon and all of the other Barbers at Lloyds always treat their customers with a high degree of dignity, class and professionism! I highly recommend this establishment to anyone looking to get a haircut or any of the other amentities that they offer.

I honestly think this is the first time I have ever given a bad review on Google, but I think it has to be done.After arriving in Santa Monica yesterday we decided to go out to dinner to celebrate my wifes birthday.Since arriving at the airport in Toronto before breakfast, and sitting down to lunch in LA, I had been complemented on my beard by four different strangers. Alas, my wife felt it was getting a little wide, which I agreed, so I went downstairs to the barbershop here at the wonderful Fairmont Miramar and booked in for a minor tidy-up.I had visited the barbershops at about half a dozen Fairmont hotels around the world, and was always pleased with the results. I have even had had it trimmed twice here at Lloyds, and they did a great job.After explaining what I did and didnt want, I guess I first got a little worried when the barber asked are big beards popular in Sydney? We dont see many here in LA.The second hint that something wasnt right was when they asked me what my wife would do if they messed up my beard.The killer though was when she went at my moustache with a pair clippers and said This has actually been fun!I intentionally left the fact that it was actually a female barber (barberette) until the end as I feel its kind of irrelevant as I have had plenty of great beard trims by women.Needless to say, I came away with a beard that was uneven, where the cheek line was too low, and my moustache looked it had been done with a nose trimmer.A little advice to barbers, if you or your staff dont know how to trim a big beard, just be f...ing honest before you start. Its like an old school Army barber going up to a girl with long hair who just wants a trim and saying Hey, I only ever do crew cuts, but this could be fun!
