I was having problems with my evaporative cooler. It was blowing hot air and I had water coming off my roof. I called TLC and they sent a tech by the name of Mario over. He quickly diagnosed the problem. I had a bad float and my fan belt was gone. Mario replaced both items. I now have a nice cool home again. Thank you TLC so much.
Weve been in our home for 2 years and this is our first experience with a septic tank. Both our toilets stopped flushing and when using the plunger...the water backed up in tub and shower. We have a home warranty policy but they couldnt send anyone out for 3 days. Unacceptable. So we called TLC, which had done some excellent work with our heating system a month earlier. They were VERY attentive, came out right away...kept on the problem until it was solved. Shane and his apprentice were such a pleasure to work with. Shane came at 7 a.m. to assess the situation and recommended we call Chavez Septic Pumping Service...then Shane came back after that was finished and finished up a very difficult job...at night! I had a great experience with TLC before and now this experience proved they are the only plumbers to call. Shane found the missing clean out which was UNDERNEATH brick steps. That was pretty amazing. The pricing was very reasonable. They are our go to plumbers forever more.

Rick was the most knowledgeable person we talked to about a complicated ac installation. He designed a great system for us, showed up as scheduled for the installation and finished early. Because of him and TLC, we have a quiet and efficient system.
We have used TLC Plumbing and Heating twice now for emergency services. The first year was for our furnace that went out in Feb 2020 and we added A/C as well. The second was to repair main trunk gas line and added tankless water heater also in March 2021. Russell, Fernando, Tony, Rick and Jimmy are fondly known to us as the “A” team! They are so awesome and work so hard - it amazes us their professionalism, dedication and skill. Definitely get what you pay for with TLC - they are the best!
Diagnosed and replaced thermal couple. The technician was in the area and at my house in 45 minutes. He advised me on future replacement of my 30 year old system when I asked but was not pushy or trying to get me purchase what I didn’t immediately need. Rick was thoroughly knowledgeable and efficient. Very impressive!
We had three new faucets installed our kitchen and the work was done perfectly to our satisfaction. Both our technicians were efficient and considerate. We will definitely use TLC again!
We had a persistent problem with water hammer at our the main valve. The sound and worry was driving us crazy. Three other people had been over and no one could figure out the fix without cutting into the wall. TLC sent Gregory over, he showed up on time and called first. At first glance he knew what to do without cutting into the wall. He is very knowledgeable about his craft and it shows. Finally I felt relieved that this problem would get fixed. He rearranged a couple valves that were incorrect and now the hammer sound is gone. Gregory cleaned up the area and even gave me some energy saving tips!
We had water pipe burst in our ceiling, in below zero weather. We called the emergency line for TLC because they had the best reviews, we spoke to someone at 11:59 PM, we were told they had two customers ahead and for us to “hang tight” and that they would call me when they were headed my way. It’s currently 8:39AM the following day and I have yet to hear back from anyone for an update, all while water is still leaking from my ceiling causing excessive damage.

I contacted TLC to provide an estimate to replace my existing evaporative cooler with a new MasterCool. Appointment was quick and easy on March 18th. The TLC employee came early which was fine as he was in the neighborhood. We talked outside about the work request. I was told he would e-mail an estimate that evening or the next day. A full week later on March 25th I received a phone call from TLC wanting to know if I had any questions on the estimate. I said, yes.... where is the estimate? I have not received anything as promised. The person apologized and told me he would contact the person who came out on the 18th to provide the estimate and that I would see an e-mail with the estimate by the end of the day. Well, here we are on April 10th and I have yet to receive an estimate for the job. Of course I just gave up on TLC and contacted other companies to come out, do the estimate and have hired one of them to do the job. Extremely poor customer service for an utterly simple request. Next time I will likely just start with the other companies that seem to care and were responsive.
The team from TLC installed a complex mini-split system in a timely manner, paying particular attention to detail along the way. I was extremely pleased with their knowledge, craftsmanship and customer focus through the process and would recommend them to anyone looking at this type of installation.
TLC IS NOT RELIABLE. THEY DO NOT HONOR THEIR SCHEDULED APPOINTMENTS. I contacted TLC Plumbing on May 20, 2020. Scheduled an appointment for May 28, 2020 to replace two leaking outdoor water faucets. Service tech reported to my house as scheduled. Upon inspection of the faucets it was determined that the tech would require 4 hours to complete the job. The job was scheduled for 12pm Monday June 1, 2020. The service tech did not arrive. At 1pm I called TLC to confirm the appointment. I was told that there has been a miscommunication between dispatch and the service tech. Since I had a 4 hour job they would not be able to complete the job that day. I was annoyed but agreed to reschedule. Mistakes happen.My next service was scheduled for 12pm on June 4, 2020. Again the service tech did not arrive. I contacted TLC again. After waiting on hold for 10 minutes I was told told the service tech was not available but someone would call me back. 10 minutes later I received a call from another gentleman who stated they would need to reschedule for the following week. At this point I decided to utilize another plumber. Bear in mind I have been required to take leave from my employer to be present for 2 missed appointments. Fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me.To anyone reading this review I hope you have better luck.
Russell and Fernando installed a new evaporative cooler for us today. We are very happy with the results. They are both very professional, friendly and timely. They fit our work in on a very hot day and we are happy with the results. They provided us with pictures of our existing equipment and thoroughly explained why it was making horrible noise and not functional.

The communications with this company is terrible. They copied the wrong address for service, they couldnt complete a simple job as replacing a 3/4 copper valve without having to come back; because their supplier was out of stock. They didnt return phone calls. Their WEB page live chat doesnt work. Apparently they dont look at their request service part of their web page either. They didnt give notifications about delays and then they got the billing address wrong. Plus the price seemed high. The finally finished work that was done well. It is the administrative side of this Business that needs to improve. Their Customer service representative apologized and had several excuses. But they are below par for a service industry in my opinion.
The technician lied to me about the cost of thermostats for heating system; $60 each, professional, top of the line he said. while the thermostats were replaced; he lied. each thermostat sells for $25 maximum. the secretary said they change 40% more for service costs/. this is much more than 40%. THEY ARE ALL LIARS. which is never a good thing.
This company is on time and stands behind their warranties! I had a frost free spicket leaking and TLC came out to fix it in the spring. The repair had further problems and yesterday they came out, dig it out and replaced the whole thing at their expense. I was blown away and impressed. The old saying “leave it better than you found it” has merit with the owner!
My husband and I experienced our first burst pipe as homeowners and called TLC after hours. They were able to come out right away and both Russell and Fernando were incredible. They answered our questions and did a beautiful job fixing the pipe. I felt like they went above and beyond in resolving our situation and I feel confident I found great plumbers. Thanks!
We had roots clogging our main sewer line. They couldnt find the cleanout, so had to scope from a toilet cap in the house. After finishing their work, they overcharged us, $750!! It wasnt a difficult or long job for them to do, but they charged us for 3 plumbers, though only two were there... A month later, sewer inspection from a potential home buyer showed that we had to redo this work. We paid another plumber $225 to do it, and he found the clean out. This was the second bad experience Ive had with TLC. Very poor company.
My wife and I were given an estimate for replacing a hot water pipe in our Tesuque home by a local company and when TLC gave us an estimate it was a fraction of the cost. Turns out the other company was just trying to squeeze us for extra work that was unnecessary. Shane performed the work in a friendly and professional manner all while following CDC guidelines for Covid-19 prevention. The new pipe is working great and looks good. Shane even stopped by a few days later to check on the repair and to make sure our kitchen faucet water pressure was sufficient. Kudos to TLC for employing friendly, reliable and professional people. We will definitely use TLC again in the future if our old house needs a repair. Keep up the good work!
We recently moved into a house out in Eldorado, and we were taking care of a few loose ends from the home inspection. We had five different items of concern, including plumbing and HVAC issues, for TLC to address. After completing the contact us section on the TLC website, they promptly contacted me. The person who helped schedule the appointment was professional and let me know that Darren would be able to help us with all of our issues. Darren arrived on time and had no problem explaining each of the issues to us as well as the next steps we should take. He was honest and knowledgeable, and if we have further concerns, we plan to contact them again.
Josh with TLC did outstanding work for us installing bathroom sinks, faucets, and drains. He also replaced the hot water recirculating pump and pressure reducing valve. Josh was on time and prepared, he communicated well. Josh is professional, polite, and a highly skilled plumber. He worked carefully (meticulously) but efficiently. He didn’t waste time (his or mine). He did things right by using the right materials, even when it required a trip back to the supply house in SF. Most plumbers here rush and take short cuts – that is not the case with Josh. Lastly, he likes right angles, which is something you definitely want in a plumber.
Might be good if theyd ever do what they say. Showing up once would be nice. Not cancelling thirty times would be nice. Acting like they have a rep to uphold would be nice. I fired em before they started.
My wife and I have used TLC before. The first time, they fixed what needed fixing. On receipt they said all parts were under warranty still, but my bill was still $1900. I asked and repairman could not answer. All he did was replace a/c coils. He was there 2.5-3 hours max. I find it hard to believe that labor was $1900 worth. That was first time.So, we called again to get some work done. Knowing we got screwed last time but oh well. My wife called made appointment and no one showed bbn on day of appointment. They showed up 2 days late. Guy shows up, says he thinks he knows what the problem was. Didnt fix anything. Said it was either the compressor, and pulley?? Said he had to order parts and would return. We are still waiting. Its been 2-3 weeks now. I got fed up and called another company. Most amazing repairman and service. It was a condenser, not compressor or pulley. Repairman had part and installed. $109. Glad TLC last our service....You guys need to clean up your act.... we will NEVER recommend TLC..!!!!
I recently needed my thirteen year old water heater replaced. Anyone who have been in the situation of needing work or services done will understand how daunting it is in trying to find a reputable company to perform work. As a homeowner you want quality work at a reasonable cost. I initially went online to research by reading reviews of the various companies in my area. I had submitted inquiries online. Eventually I called TLC in Rio Rancho after getting a reference from a colleague. I spoke with Mark the estimator on the phone and explained what I needed and sent him a picture of the current unit. After agreeing on the proposed work and the cost I scheduled for the following day. Lawrence S. was the technician assigned for my water heater replacement. He was on time and performed the work. I would like to commend Lawrence for his professionalism and attention to detail throughout the entire process. He is very meticulous in his work which made me reassured that I had made the right decision by choosing TLC. He stayed after 6:30pm until work was completed. Job was not rushed. I’m not one to write a review but I feel this needed to be recognized.

Wow! We needed a new boiler and holding tank and are so happy with Richard and Russell! Honestly, we cant say enough about their professionalism and expediency when our hot water suddenly stopped.They were happy to explain how it all worked since we had just purchased the house and we knew nothing about radiant heat or boilers. Its so nice to have such confidence in people who play such an important part in home ownership!
Fernando came out to check the minisplit in my condo.Never had dealt with that type of heating/cooling unit before. He gave me pointers on how to use it more efficiently. Was very satisfied with his knowledge and proficient workmanship.

Tonight I discovered our heating was not functioning correctly. I was extremely concerned as we just experienced a cracked sprinkler pipe last week that did a lot of damage to our house. I had visions of another one freezing without sufficient heat. Ryan Catanach took my call and spent 30 minutes helping me track down and resolve the problem. Derek from TLC called before coming out to our house to confirm what type of service we needed. He arrived on time, checked our boiler and made sure all the control valves to the different zones were working correctly. We used TLC for a major plumbing issue in a rental involving clay pipes in a Stamm home. They fixed the problem a few months back. I was inspired to write this review because today in traffic a TLC truck driven by a guy with a giant scorpion tattoo on his arm let me merge into his lane when I encountered asudden lane closure. Not only are they great at problem solving plumbing issues, they’re also good humans. Highly recommend TLC.

David was very professional and detailed. He also addressed other issues we had with our water pressure in addition to fixing the boiler. He walked us through lighting the pilot in case we need to in the future. He was also kind enough to give us a small law enforcement discount! The small gesture made a big impression. Twisted out my outside hose faucet and had no water in the house until the issue was fixed. Called TLC early Saturday morning, and the plumber was out at my place within 40 minutes to start working on the issue. Was impressed not just by the quality of the repair was done, but with reliability considering the urgency of the situation!

The installation went good. But, Russel figured out that the unit needed a second pump. That went good too. Then one of the valves was defective. Russel again came out to fix that. Russel was fantastic and got the unit working well. Took a while and Russel was very customer focussed, which I appreciated. Will need an air conditioner unit soon, I believe. Since this winter has been like spring..... and will go to TLC.

I woke at 3 a.m. on January 14th 2019 to find the my heater was no longer producing heat. I contacted TLC before the hours of operation, and was quickly called by a service tech named David. He walked me through a couple of troubleshooting steps prior to issuing out a technician. Through his troubleshooting, I was able to find the problem and correct it. He saved me about $200. Im so grateful for what David did, and his insight into heaters, that I was compelled to leave this comment. Its comforting to know that there is a company out there that has my back, even if they do not financially gain!
The service tech of TLC, Santa Fe NM, Russell Montano was AMAZING!HIGHLY, recommend this company for the professionally in whichwe were treated, both at my work place and at home, it was excellent!(ALSO, his team of people, with him, who I am sorry to say, I do not remember their names were very polite, attentive and professional)
Maybe this is a fluke, but we were very disappointed in the professionalism and customer service provided by TLC. The two plumbers who arrived to install new faucets in our bathroom shouted to each from inside the house to outside the house while working. Our daughter was at our home at the time and she’s a very laid back person, but even she said it was inappropriate. We live in a townhouse and I fully expect to hear from my neighbors or the HOA because of the unnecessary noise. Furthermore, the sheet rock guy who TLC was supposed to make arrangements with was a no show. TLC was supposed to get back to us about this and never did. When I called the TLC office to complain about the lack of professionalism and the dropped ball with the sheet rock guy, I was met with utter indifference. Given the high ratings provided by other customers, which I checked before calling TLC, I was surprised by our experience. Like I said, maybe it was a fluke, but I won’t be calling them back for any future plumbing needs.

Our tech was David Mazur. He came to assess and repair a noisy “chattering” pump related to the connections between our Nest thermostat and pump. A radiant floor heating system and a tankless water heating system were also part of the equation.David was extremely knowledgeable, customer oriented, great at diagnostics, timely, communicative, and fair.We will be loyalty customers to TLC now.... he’s a keeper!Stephen

We had clogged toilets and a back up on Saturday; called TLC and dispatch had Russell contact me within 10 minutes. He was here within half an hour and had things flowing in no time. Russell was very professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. Would definitely recommend this company.
Anthony did a fine job fixing our leak. But on the next call Rick did something when he was diagnosing the problems with our radiant heat, and is now denying it. As the owners response states, no repairs were done, however Rick caused the heat to come on full force, and it would not shut off. Before he showed up our radiant heat could be shut off. Afterword, it could not be shut off. Yes we got a refund but they caused me suffering and misery at Christmas time. I would never trust them again. Turns out that all I needed to do was unplug the radiator.Why did Rick leave me with a fire hazard a few days before Xmas when simply unplugging part of the heating system would have temporarily solved the problem he caused? Thankfully, when I called another company, they told me what to do at no charge till I could schedule another estimate for repairs. By then my holiday was ruined by TLC! Their excuses are lame. This was one of the worst experiences that I have ever had with a repair service.Call Protech, they have integrity.
An underground pipe broke causing water to gush and flood our yard. We called TLC and they arrived within an hour though it was a Saturday and they were very busy. Russell got things under control and returned Monday to fix the broken pipe as we asked. I appreciated his clear explanations of the problem and he also alerted us to a potential water heater issue. Weve used TLC before and are pleased with their level of service.
I made numerous attempts to contact TLC plumbing. I was disappointed that it took them three days four days to respond and get out I was without a shower and I consider this an emergency. They apparently did not. I will never use them again.

Rick Baker did an outstanding job while servicing my unit. It was late at night and he was very professional and knowledgeable while fixing the unit. He explained in detail and provided lots of information as to the DOS and donts of the unit. He also tested and made sure everything was operating right prior to him leaving. My son was able sleep safe and warm after the repair was done.

TLC took our call for an after hours plumbing issue and 90 minutes later Mario Gridley showed up at the house even though he was some distance away (hours drive). Mario was courteous, pleasant, and extremely helpful. He got right to work and our problem was solved within 20 minutes! I cant say enough good things about TLCs responsiveness and Mario. Hes a definite asset to the company and a great guy.
Russel and Miguel came out and checked my furnace because it was making boom-boom noise when it is running. They checked everything and made sure nothing was cracked or broken. They said everything is working properly. Of course, the boom-boom noise was not heard the whole time they were here. They said it should be fine and to call if needed. They were both very professional and waited to hear the boom-boom noise, which never happened while they were here.
Rick is first rate. He is polite, explains what he is doing, and told us how to get some plumbing done by TLC. We always ask for him the next time.

Russell and Josh came to diagnose and fix a venting problem in our waste line. They were knowledgeable, courteous and worked through the problem systematically. Finally discovering a blockage causing the problem. I would recommend this team led by Russell.
Rick and Russell arrived on time, quickly analyzed the problems with our heating system, and corrected them, after another company misdiagnosed the issues. TLC will be handling all of our plumbing needs in Santa Fe in the future.
Not 24 hour or emergencies. Out main line broke and the soonest they could have someome come out is in 6 days.... Would not recommend.
