I just called to speak with a manager or the owner regarding some service they did for my mother. The person on the phone refused to let me speak to someone. The technician told my mother she had water pressure that was too high and shut off her water, trying to force her to buy $800 worth of equipment immediately. We checked the water pressure after they left and it was around 80 which is normal. The technician said it was over 110. He also brought in a short snake to try and get the toilet working, which did nothing. I had already used a much longer snake to try and clear the pipes. What they needed to do was to bring in an extra long professional snake. The technician said she needed a new toilet because of sediment in the pipes was the problem. If this is the only way to speak with the owner, then a bad review is what is necessary. There is definitely something wrong if you cannot speak with management. It means that someone is afraid of management finding out what is really happening in the field. It is too bad that older people get taken advantage of because the professionals come and say everything is broken....After reading the owners response, I am convinced this business is shady. As a review on the Better Business Bureau stated, another customers personal information and home address were posted by the owner of Pauls Plumbing because the customer wrote a bad review about his company. The last thing I am going to do is tell him my Mothers name and address so that he can post it here.A professional thing to do would have been to say, Please call us so that we can figure out what happened and why services that were not needed were said to be absolutely necessary. or We apologize and want to make this not happen again.I personally went and checked the water pressure again and the readings were around 75 p.s.i. This is 35 p.s.i. less than the technician wrote on the receipt and said that it is a hazard and shut off the water to my Mothers house. The only reason for this discrepancy is a lying technician or a faulty instrument.Plumbers already make very good money, there is absolutely no room in my world to take advantage of the elderly.
I called Paul’s Plumbing this past Tuesday because my meter was taken for a gas leak. The two men that came out were on time, polite and great at keeping me informed with the steps they were taking to fix my issue. Something very rare to find in a plumber. They did the work very quickly and up to par for an affordable price. Will be calling again!
We had Paul’s Plumbing check our heating system over for the upcoming winter season. Great experience from my initial phone call to the Technicians service. Both Techs - Luk and Adrian were courteous, professional and speedy. We highly recommend Paul’s Plumbing!
Lukes been mentioned before re., his professionalism & those reviews are completely accurate! In fact, he and his crew (here for some water work) were top tier by what Ive experienced here in Santa Fe. In fact, entire Pauls experience has shown quality work/ respect/true customer service. Theyre my go-to now for what I know is inevitable w/ an aging house. HIGHLY recommended!
After being stood up by another plumber we called Pauls Plumbing & Heating, Inc. They did not have any crews available but went out of their way to contact Xavier and Beto from Capitol Plumbing and Heating who fixed our outdoor faucet, which would not turn off. So although we didnt actually use this business, I highly recommend them because they have all customers best interests in mind. Very professional and helpful!
I was lucky to call this business. They responded promptly. The person who came was Ray. He was kind, respectful, clean, and got the job done which was hard! Delightful person all around. I will never use any other Plumbing and heating company. Wow great service, nice people, and reasonable price. I recommend them without hesitation.
They did a terrific job. Trustworthy company
There was a leak under my faucet and my contractor strongly recommended thatI call Paul’s Plumbing as he was unable to navigate our complex water system. I called and was immediately transferred to RAY who showed up 15 minutes later. 15 minutes. In less than a half hour, the leak was fixed. I was stunned by the efficient, polite and expedient service. One of the best service experiences I have ever had. Truly. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!
I had a broken pipe under the slab in my home. After the abatement, 2 weeks later I finally called to see what was going on. They said they didnt know it, the abatement was done. They had been sent an email, along with me. They were then scheduled to come the following Wednesday, they didnt show, didnt call. I called Thursday and was told they had an issue at a school. When they did finally start coming they set only 1 worker, to break concrete inside the outer. This went on for weeks. My house was piled with concrete and rocks. When they filled the hole there was no leveling done, concrete all over the walls, very sloppy.I have dealt with them for many many years, and they have always been excellent. I dont know what happened. I have been out of my house for over 2 months, and mostly because they did not hold up their end of taking care of me and my house. Very disappointed.
Don’t think use this company. Installed a unit last winter, it worked great until it didn’t. Have been having issues with them for over 2 months to try to repair the unit. I have not had a working heater all winter. They keep sending technicians that can’t get it to work. Every time I call them, I’m promised a call back from Paul and nothing. Technicians that come out to the house have no idea what is wrong. It almost feels like they don’t care that we have no heat during the winter. Just don’t use this company.
The technician (Ray) arrived right on time and had the job done in less than 2 hours. Had a wall mounted exterior hydrant spigot that had burst and was also sticking out from the wall. Spigot is now replaced and flush with the wall and looks much better than before. Ray even gave me advice on possible future plumbing projects.
Kudos to Ray, who offered prompt, professional service with a willingness to answer any and all questions regarding some of our homes chronic water/plumbing issues. He quickly assessed, diagnosed, and communicated the most sustainable route to remedy our kitchen sinks plumbing issues. As a result, if all of Pauls technicians offer the same efficiency and professionalism, we will continue to count on them for both plumbing and HVAC maintenance.
This is for bosque brewing.thanks to Ray,carlos and Sean we were able to open back up after 4 days of sewer pipe problems.they had to perform the work under a crawl space that was only about 2 feet high.they had to endure the the smell of sewer gas and glue fumes.no other Plumbing company would call us back,or they were to busy. They also did this job on saturday and Sunday!
Ray M. was an outstanding service provider. He was knowledgeable professional and patient.
Appreciated technician (Ray) how he pinpointed the exact issue quickly and accurately, together with his follow-up service call. Professional, courteous, quality work.
Performed unnecessary repairs and expensive. Co came out twice. 1st time was an emergency. 2nd time was not an emergency and switched out valves. Not sure if this was necessary or not, but pretty pricey
Just a shout out to Luke the plumber, really appreciated the time he took to explain my new system to me. No sales gimmicks or pushes. Just the facts and the matter. When you find yourself with no heat, two cold kids and a wife, you cannot express the appreciation for someone to come in, take care of business and leave us warm by the following day. Thank you Luke and Pauls Plumbing for all your help. You have a customer for life!!!
I had a leak under my kitchen sink which I suspected might be my aged garbage disposal but I wasnt sure, since it was sporadic. The two plumbers from Pauls came promptly the day after I called (I called late in the day). They discovered that it indeed was the disposal and went back got a new one, returned promptly and installed the new one. Ive used other plumbers here in Santa Fe, but this was excellent service delivered promptly.
UPDATE: The gas company came out to inspect and confirmed that not only was there NO LEAK of carbon monoxide but that the unit was also not cracked. So not only did Pauls tech commit fraud, but Paul got super surley with me and refused to come do a re-inspection or explain the situation in a satisfying way. This is not just a sad example of fraud but also he put my safety at risk!!=====================================Furnace inspection/routine maintenance for my new home was about $200. The tech said one of my wall heating units was leaking dangerous levels of CO so he disabled it. He said it would cost over $8k to replace, not including labor (this is after a home inspection found no issues a few weeks earlier). So, I called my home warranty company and they insisted on sending out another local furnace inspector (Moreno) to evaluate the problem. No leak was found. So I get it, sometimes these things can happen and its easily explained. So I called pauls plumbing and asked what to do. Paul was super insulting and dismissive of me, when I only wanted advice. Should I get a 3rd inspection? He insulted me. Would Paul send out their crew again to confirm their previous findings? Absolutely not. He kept acting like he was trying to confuse me or catch me in a lie by twisting my words, which is a red flag to me for someone attempting to gaslight me. And ultimately Im just trying to ask what to do. Anyway, it got heated and he hung up, which was the best thing that could have happened bc I will never allow his company in my house and Im changing my door codes after that experience.
We had been dealing with a sewer like odor in our guest bathroom for the past few months and it got unbearable once we started working from home. Ray was able to not only address the problem but fix it for an extremely reasonable price. He was professional and explained what needed to be fixed and why. Pauls Plumbing is our go to because of their high quality professionalism, knowledge, and service technicians like Ray.
I wish I could give a better than a 5-star recommendation. Long story short, I awoke on Saturday morning to a cold house; my furnace had died after I had fallen asleep on Friday night. I called Paul’s after I had made all tests I could and he was exceptionally forthright: a new furnace is not inexpensive but, given what could be wrong, the likelihood of resurrecting my 25-year-old obsolete unit was slim. I appreciated his honesty and chose to replace it. The crew that arrived - led by Luke - was extremely courteous and efficient in the face of some complex unanticipated problems, cleaned up after they finished and left me knowing I had made the right call. Thank you, Paul’s. You completely exceeded my expectations.
Paul is very difficult to communicate with and changed his story several times over the course of a large project in my home. It was like talking to an angry wall. They told us to dig in the wrong place unnecessarily tearing up my flooring and made no effort to accept responsibility for their error. When I finally expressed my frustrations he refused to do any more work, which was just fine with me by then. Note their argumentative responses to poor reviews here; accept responsibility and make it right.
Did not have a good experience with Pauls Plumbing. They show up and spent about 10 minutes looking at my mini split AC unit. I told them that we needed a condensation pump installed. He tells me the pump is working fine, even though there is no pump noises happening and water is pouring down the inside of my wall. They tell me that it will cost over $500 to order a new pump, that literally costs about 50 or 60$ at most. They charged me over a $100 to straighten out the hose! Not replacing anything. Left without even turning on the unit, telling me it works fine. I called them to say water is still running down the inside of my wall, and not being pumped out. Because the pump doesnt work. All I got was Well get back to you and never heard another word from this company who just took advantage of the situation. Also what happened to the $25 discount for being an internet customer?? Would be a zero if possible. DO not use this company!!As an update. We had another company come out and fix our ac unit. It cost us $95 for the repair. Nothing needed to be relocated or replaced. Turned out the hose was plugged. If your company had actually investigated a little bit this could have been discovered. Rather than trying to get us to spend thousands of dollars upgrading and relocating our unit. A little care and listening goes a long way.
Got to our casita at 2 p.m. and discovered our water heater had failed. Called Pauls immediately. They were on-site by 3 pm and we had hot water by 7 pm. You cant ask for better service than that! Yes, it was expensive, but what emergency isnt? We are happy to recommend them. Great, rapid service with a positive outcome. They even filled out the paperwork for our NM Natural Gas rebate!Thank you!
We have had emergency with our heating system and Mike from Pauls Plumbing identified the problem and fixed. Great service. I will recommend it to everybody.Misha, White Rock, NM
Pauls is absolutly terrible. They installed a boiler for us several years. ago. It breaks down annually. I finally fired them and brought in another plumber. We discovered the outlet the boiler plugged into was miswired.Instead of fixing it or informing me Pauls tore the ground prong off the plug and plugged it in with no ground during their installation. Since the installation the boiler has required over $1,000 in maintenance every year. This might be the last year I repair it and finally just replace a $12,000 boiler that is 4 years old. You can bet Pauls wont be replacing it for me.
Called for a water heater replacement, and was very impressed with the plumber (Luke) I just can’tExpress how nice and confident he was in explaining and doing his job. I have had many plumbers before and can ensure that the quality of the job was exceptional as well as the price. Thank you!!!
I called Pauls because my furnace wouldnt light. They sent Matthew out to solve the problem, and he did a great job. Very polite, professional, knowledgeable, and efficient. He got right on the problem with no wasted effort, and he solved it pronto. No dragging his feet so he could run up the bill...like some plumbers Ive worked with in the past! I wont hesitate to call Pauls again if I ever have another problem with plumbing or furnace. And I hope they send Matthew!
I had family visiting from Arizona and my heater decided it wanted to go rogue. I called Paul’s plumbing and Luke showed up within 20 minutes. ( Which is unheard of) and was able to get my heater running within the hour. Had a fantastic experience and will continue to use Paul’s plumbing in the future.
Called out Pauls Plumbing to fix a main shut off leak in my house. The plumber took a quick look and stated there were tree roots and mold in the area and he could not touch it. My restoration service and insurance adjuster found no evidence of mold and questioned why the plumber could not fix the valve or attempt to. Pauls charged the trip charge without trying to correct the leak.
I wrote a nasty review the other day commenting on Lukes performance from Pauls Plumbing. Luke forgot about my family and left us in the cold for a week it was unprofessional and very disrespectful he didnt show up to the appointment that he scheduled with me and when I called him he decided to be exceptionally rude to me call me a liar and a slanderer because I left him a negative Google review. But I will be bringing the review rating up on this experience after seeing what a REAL plumber can do. Alejandro from Pauls Plumbing showed up fixed our problem and had my heater running in no time at all he was very professional personable and knowledgeable. I think Alejandro is a direct result of good management and a well-disciplined team thank you so much Pauls Plumbing for changing my mind about this terrible experience Luke put me through.
Great prices and exceptional service. Recently had a tankless water heater installed. Tech came out, was on time and respectful. Would recommend this company to all my family and friends!
My family recently had an emergency of no heat. Within an hour of calling Paul’s Plumbing, a technician was at my home, and within a day a new system installed. Thank you for the excellent service!
Fast, and honest for a good price!
Friend need to get a plumber..
Very knowledgeable, and experienced, very prompt in helping me out.
Excellent, professional and speedy service. Our water heater broke at 7:30 at night. Pauls very professional employee, Christian, had the water heater and furnace out in 2 hours. And they called the service master remediation service and got them out right away. Christian even rerouted our water so we could have water that night. I have called them out twice more to work on swamp cooler and drains.
If you go to Pauls website you will read many positive reviews. Paul...the $ you spend on the internet visibility ads really worked...because as I was researching plumbers and systems...your site came up and I took a chance. The testimonials sold me and they held true for me as well! Having managed several of the Inns in town - I have used many plumbers in SF over the years. Paul distinguished himself from everyone. My water heater failed and he was the only one of 5 to even answer the phone - much less return a call. Just as the other reviews said...he was at my house within a couple hours of my call and his crew was here an hour after that to execute the job. Called him at 8:15 am and the job was completed by 3:15. I requested a different water heater brand than he normally uses - no problem, they arrived with it. State of the art installation. Crew was very knowledgeable, timely, professional and CLEAN! In and out in 3 hours total...and Paul suggested a couple of inexpensive fixes on the system to help it run most efficiently. It is rare that I meet a contractor who 1. Actually knows his stuff and 2. Isnt trying upsell you or overcharge you and 3. Makes suggestions that are actually warranted. Price was no - nonsense, clear and justified. Not high - not low...but fair. This crew makes you want to do EVERYTHING you can to keep the systems in top condition...even if it cant be done today...they give you the sense that they really know what to do and how to do it properly! I have had 4 other plumbers at my home and none of them noticed the system wear and tear or mentioned the needed maintenance or suggested the simple fixes that Paul did. Total professionalism and expertise. You do not have to worry that you are getting ripped off or that he wont send crew members that know how to do the work (as has happened in the past). A pleasure to do business with and I really have confidence that my home will be properly and proactively maintained with them!!
Very prompt in checking out a broken pipe problem on a Sunday evening. Courteous with all communication.
Propane Heater Repair - Great customer service - Same day response.
I was charged $192 for 10 minutes of work... because they billed me for the time to drive to & from my house to get the part. Highway robbery. And NOW after the fact, I have to manually raise the toilet handle after flushing, even though that was to the problem they came to fix!! VERY disappointing!
Very quick response time. Very professional.
The plumber came at the time promised. Did his work, went over the job performed and charged according. Doesnt get better than that! Thanks Gonzo!
Excellent fast service and great job!
The young man who came to our house was to busy on his cell phone to really talk to me he told me that they would probably have to remove the heater to remove the hot water tank, the house was built new in 2004 I am the first owner he also quoted me 1200 American dollars
Paul and his people are awesome
