Dr Kim is really trustworthy. Thats so important in a dentist. It really feels like you can ask any question about your dental situation and hell give you a thoughtful answer.

This was my first visit to Dr. Kim’s office, and I was incredibly impressed. Dr. Kim spent a lot of time explaining what he was seeing, what was normal and what to watch, and how we would address it. The whole staff were delightful and professional. Happy I found this office.

My appointment with Dr. Kim was very satisfactory. The receptionist was very pleasant and helpful. Dr. Kim was quite friendly and put me at ease. When he was done cleaning my teeth, he showed me the x-rays and areas that I needed to pay special attention to.

I moved to Santa Cruz, and n needing a dentist, I am so happy that I found Dr. Kim. He is a superior professional with a steady concentration. He advised me to fix my problem completely rather than piece-meal, as I was intending. Had I not followed his guidance I would have done the minimum, but I would still have discomfort and limitations. Dr Kim fixed the issue which greatly improved the cosmetics, but more importantly eliminated my discomfort and returned my capacity to chew anything. Dr Kim is a master dentist.

If you are scared of going to the dentist you should definitely come here. The people who work here are friendly and accommodating. They make you feel safe and reassured. Dr. Kim was fast and effective during the procedures.

Today I went to see Dr. Kim with a toothache and found out that my tooth was infected and needed to be extracted. He extracted the tooth on the spot. The whole process took about 5 minutes, and I felt no pain. Dr. Kim is the best!

Dr. Kim was awesome! He uses modern equipment and spent the time to explain to me the benefits and advantages from older techniques/materials (I was having a crown set in). Beyond that he is very personable and did a great job to calm my nerves.The part that made me really appreciate his efforts was when after everything was done he showed me my x-ray and teeth that could possibly need future work, and told me how to take care of it to avoid future issues.Id highly recommend him to anyone! Where do I start!! It looks like so many people before me just love Dr.Kim and his staff. I came in to get a second opinion and boy oh boy was he honest!!I went through another facility (Western Dental) and after hearing the price and damage to my mouth, I couldnt believe it. In a sad state, I grabbed the nearest UCSC City on a Hill Press and tried to take my mind off things. Thats when I ran into this great advertisement for an exam deal from Dr.Kims office and called right away.Nervous and at a loss for what was going on with my health, Dr.Kim and his AMAZING receptionist, who by the way, made me feel so welcomed and honored that I called, which in turn made my interest in showing up 100% higher than any other dentist. Dr. Kim gave me honesty and empathy when no other doctor has before and I cannot WAIT to get my wisdom teeth taken out under his care. Hes barely even touched my mouth but has already given me such great advice on my next steps before the big wisdom tooth removal date.I recommend Dr.Kim and all of his staff to anyone that believes they deserve the best dental care. When I called, the person on the phone (very nice) was able to get me an appointment in less than 1 week even though other dentists had a wait of 1-2 months. When I got there, the person at the front had already looked up my insurance information to tell me how much everything would cost. My appointment was also very pleasant. The dental hygienist as well as the dentist were very nice. The doctor answered all of my questions with thorough answers. Overall a great experience and would recommend

I really appreciate Dr Kims honesty. He is a very nice man and a very knowledgeable dentist. The office used to be Dr Ramirez, but he retired and Dr. Kim took over. Dr. Kim is easy to talk to and will not price gouge you. I will never go anywhere else than Dr. Kim in Santa Cruz. Ive told all my friends and family too. Dr. Kim runs a wonderful practice! Everyone was so extremely nice and attentive. They explained things to me. Answered my questions. Gave me HONEST answers. If you are like me and have been looking for a good quality, honest dentist, then I highly recommend Dr. Joseph Kim.

I have recommended Dr Kim to many people already. He is friendly, professional, kind and has very fair prices. What I appreciate most is that he is very common-sensical, understanding when a patient needs to balance good health and finances. Also, I like it that he can do a whole range of services, from a basic exam and fillings to crowns and root canals. His office is super easy to get to and has convenient parking. And Debbie, the hygienist, is amazing.

Just moved to town and hit with a toothache the first week...Dr. Kim and his staff made me feel welcome, and Dr. Kim was straight forward about resolving the immediate issue and developing a long-term treatment plan. In addition, Dr. Kim suggested a treatment plan that was far lest involved and costly than a previous dentist I went to - he resolved my acute issue on the same day (vs. being referred to a specialist by another dentist). A huge relief to find a good dentist within walking distance of home.

Ive been searching for a regular dentist for years after my favorite old school dentist in Aptos retired. The new crop of dentists seem far more interested in the new dental technologies and how they can pay for them than in their patients. Dr Kim was really thorough and made some recommendations without undue pressure to get me back into the office. Mara was a great and personable receptionist, Id highly recommend their practice!

Wonderful dentist ! I wouldnt go anywhere else! Trustworthy, honest, downright awesome. He does just about everything in house! Usually, dentists refer out to specialists, but Dr Kim is a specialist! He is very smart. Went to Columbia! Among others. Try Dr Joseph S Kim DDS, you wont regret it!

Recently, I was a 1st timer in for a normal 6 month checkup. I was told Id need 2 crowns and to watch another tooth. This was big news as I am a careful brusher and flosser. After going in for 2 visits I realize he is a big improvement from my previous dentist that Ive seen for years. I changed dentists to save with insurance. Ist crown was easy. Office lady was a gem and really helpful. Polite and friendly place.

Reputable, friendly, pleasant. Dr. Kim listens and explains everything. This practice is a good pick.
