I found my experience with Alamo rent a car very pleasant. ONeill was the person who waited on me to pick up the car. He was very efficient. And he was very polite and knowledgeable in answering any questions I had. I hope you let him know he is an excellent employee. I was on the 7 am flight out of Sanford. So I was at the airport at a very early time. The young woman who checked the car in was very polite and efficient. She answered any and all questions with kindness and knowledge. My husband and I have rented a car from Alamo Sanford Orlando airport three times now. Each time has been a quick and easy process. The lines were short, employees were friendly and there were a bunch of cars to pick from. The return process is easy also. You just pull into the ramp, hop out, check in with the employee standing there checking the cars in and then you’re done. No hidden fees or issues. They also have sun passes on the cars so you don’t have to stop and pay for each toll. They just bill you for the tolls after the fact.
Service at this location is consistently painfully slow. Im an Emerald Elite, yet they always require I stop, and check in. Whilst utilizing the same cc, every time. Selection is limited, and there is essentially no Emerald club aisle. Even Nissan Maximas are rented as premium. Additionally, the last two vehicles I rented, one smelled strong of cigarettes. The other literally had COCKROACHES crawling on the inside. I couldnt believe my eyes, so disgusting. Called 800 number, and received a credit, but had to tolerate throughout my 3 day rental. These are some of the vehicles Ive rented here. The white convertible Mustang, had the roaches. The other two smelt of smoke.
We could not have asked for a better experience at Alamo at the Sanford Airport. We had some issues with the first car we got. Kat was amazing in switching us to another car and we were so happy with the second one! I would recommend Alamo at this location just for her alone. Her customer service skills and the obvious pride in her work were apparent in our experience with her. She was so friendly and efficient with the switch and we were on our way in no time! If anyone has to go through this Alamo ask for Kat!

We rented a car for the week. Car was fine. Check in and return were quick. But …. we were charged an extra 25 cents when we picked up the car (we had prepaid) and nobody could tell us why AND we couldn’t just pay a quarter, we had to put it on our credit card- not a deal- breaker, just irritating. Also the tags on the car expired halfway through the week- which would obviously have been a deal-breaker if we had thought to look for expired tags before leaving the lot.
Renting the car and picking it up was fast and easy. We needed to upgrade half way through our vacation and Alamo made it easy for us to do. When it was time to return the vehicle there were a couple locations closer to me so I called Alamo customer service and they said it would be a fee to return it to a different location. To be specific the fee was going to be over $300. So instead, we returned the vehicle to the first location where we rented from which was over an hour out of the way. Which then wasted over 2 hours of day just to take the vehicle back.
The whole crew is awesome!! Be sure to say hi to Roderick, Hes the Man!!! He always greets everyone with a smile and makes sure you get taken care of!!! Great service, Great communication, Great vehicles.Weve been coming here every year for the past 15 years and always top notch service!!
Vehicles were clean and brought to the door by friendly staff. No problems at all. Returning them was a snap also with not hold ups in the process. We have used Alamo solely for many years with no issues. Highly recommended.

Had such a great experience. Helpful customer service and easy pick up/drop off. Was fortunate I could change drop off location easily with minimal fee because resort was an hour away. We were satisfied with our rental car experience.
Drop off and pick up for relatively easy to do basically they told you just find a car in your class get in it and drive very quick and convenient a little further away from the terminal in the other car rental places but overall not bad you might plan on a few extra minutes of walking
Got in on a late flight and staff was there trying to get people through as quickly as they could, Dillon. K helped with check out and he was absolutely wonderful!!!! Returning the car was very smooth and staff was nice.

One of the easiest transition from airport to rental car and on our way to vacation ever!! Even better was the drop off experience which was super quick and convenient for us as we were running late for our plane. Great customer service by the Enterprise staff.
Great experience! We had rented a standard SUV put when we arrived we were told to pick any SUV. We went with a premium! We ended up with a 2021 Ford Expedition max! It was a pleasant experience with self check in! The only complaint I have and it’s not Alamos fault is the walk from baggage claim. It’s difficult trying to keep kids in line while dragging luggage and a car seat.
Way too expensive for the week. The cruise control did not work. And, they directed me right out to the toll highway and I wasnt very familiar with the area and I couldnt turn back. Unfortunately, the toll required either a sun pass or the exact change. I had just gotten off a flight in from out of state so I had no change. This is a money maker for them because they charge you the fee amount, which was $1.00, plus a $3.95 administrative fee for each day it was used.
I have rented several times from Alamo and have never disappointed with their service or cleanliness of the vehicles. They have always gone above and beyond to make sure my experience was a pleasant one! This is what keeps me coming back!
Online was great and service was great and fast when I got there. Drop off was even easier and I got exactly what I requested.
The people at the counter were very friendly and helpful, getting the vehicle and leaving was no problem. Only complaint was it was more expensive than I am used to paying for a rental car. It was about $100 plus taxes and fees per day on a 3 day rental.
This was the most affordable option after checking other rental places, as well as car share apps. I appreciated not having to worry about tolls or filling the car back up. It was a quick and easy experience.

I made reservations straight through Alamo rather than through the airline. Once my children and I landed, the process was quick and easy. I was even offered a free upgrade to a sports car. Instead of driving away in a boring midsize car, I drove away in a Dodge Challenger :) we loved that car so much that we really didnt want to give it back lol I will definitely be contacting Alamo again for my rentals and I highly recommend them per my personal experience.
Such a hassle to resolve issues over the phone. Make sure if you are returning the car to another location from where you are picking up that it says it on the paperwork. I asked the man when picking up if we could drop off elsewhere and he said, “it was fine.” It was not fine as it needed to be changed in their system or else I would have to pay an outrageous fee. I spoke to a man over the phone who said that he fixed it and within a few second had hung up on me… I called back and spoke to another who confirmed it had not been fixed. You can ask for a ref# for the conversation as they are recorded. The next time we travel we will be using a different company.
Arrived 8 2021i hvnt rented acar in 15 yrs alot. Of things have changed My agent at Almo Kandi was great she was very patience and informative she made my upgrade a Kool experience she answered all my questions and was just wonderful thanks almo and workers i got on and out without no problems
Easy pickup and drop off. The first night we did notice the smell of smoke in our car, but it seemed to go away after that first evening.
Just turned it in but was very confusing on where to turn. Better signage would be better. All in all a great experience.
Tried upgrading as I usually do, but they claimed no available ones (even though I saw 5 in the lot). Vehicles arent always clean and dont smell great.
My BF plane was delayed 6 hours. Called Alamo to ensure that the office would be open, representative said they only stay open 2 hours after closing time and we could get the car in the morning. I drove an hour at 3am to pick him up only to find out the office WAS open. The car rented smelt horrible. Like mildew. When paying for the car we were charged an extra $100 then original price sent when booking. Manager did fix pricing.. Cars need to be cleaner and employees should know that the offices are required to stay open til the last plane arrives.
We rented a van for our week stay in Orlando and Sanford Fl quick pickup and drop off expect a long walk put other than that fast service bring your vehicle to you and also has a quick drop off at Sanford Airport Authority greAT DOING business with them

Im providing 5 stars only because of the customer service Vivian out of SFB Airport provided. As someone who also works in customer service, this is assuring proof of why its so important to employ great individuals at your company. Ill spare you the negative details but Vivian was committed to ensuring our experience remained positive and if not for her Im not so sure we would of ever rented from Alamo again. Kudos to her and kudos to Alamo for their talent selection.

Hi I needed a Car to go one way and most Car rentals charged allot of extra Money to go just one way, I originally rented a uhaul Van because of this and when I went to pick up the uhaul Van they screwed up and didn’t have one, I was panicking about how I was going to get to where I needed to be so I did another online search and found Alamo and then I seen that they were less expensive than uhaul to go one way, so I rented from Alamo and had a very smooth one way trip and also saved some Money over using a uhaul Van, in the future I will rent with Alamo first.

Meliah in customer service lost and found was fantastic. She was honest, courteous, and genuinely concerned about the community gate remote I left in the car. Most Alamo representatives were quick to brush me off and not explaining the car was already rented . Her honesty and courteous behavior calmed me . That behavior is the reason I will continue to rent with Alamo . Clean and reliable vehicles are only part of the rental experience. Had a quick and easy pick up experience. I appreciated that the Alamo team wasnt pushy with upgrades/add-ons (we were asked, but the no thank you was respected). Car we ended up in was clean, and Covid protocols were outlined. Pick up was also a smooth process, and the bill we received after was just as we were quoted when we originally booked (no hidden fees/charges).I am docking one star for two reasons:1. Price point - I understand all rental cars have gone up in price as of recently due to supply and demand, however there were PLENTY of rental cars on the lot (and it was late in the day, so theres little chance that they were all still being picked up). We pretty much just broke even with the difference of what it would have been to just use a rideshare/taxi service - had the rental car been a dollar or two more a day, we honestly probably would have skipped it. That said, Alamo still offered the lowest rates, which is why this only affected a half star.2. The first two cars we got in smelled horribly of smoke. I dont know if because of demand, these arent getting as thoroughly cleaned between uses, but seeing the list of all the cleaning protocols, AND being told that there is strictly no smoking allowed in the vehicle, and then getting into two that had a strong smell was a little disheartening. Luckily the third car had no smell.
I rent from the SFB location a lot. They always have great customer service and good prices. The car was clean and fit the 5 of us.
Easily booked my reservation on line. Very quick and efficient check-in at the airport. My vehicle was ready and when they saw I had someone with me in a wheelchair they brought the car to me. Car was just what I wanted. Small, clean, good on gas and handled well. Just as easy returning it. All the employees were courteous and careful during Covid times. Highly recommend!

Rental car had an ant problem. We were killing black ants the whole 5 days we had the rental. Car was a Malibu and was not the best. But they didnt have options to choose from at the airport due to a high demand. Supposedly we were getting a $50 credit but the email final bill I never received so waiting on our CC to post it to view.
Rented a car the first week of April. Friendly and professional staff both a check-in and return. Easy and fast and provided me with a good, clean car. I would definitely use Alamo again at Sanford Orlando Airport.

Check in at Sanford Orlando airport was too long! It took 45 minutes standing in line to get a car. I have all information in my Alamo account, and tried to use the kisok to check in but none of them were working. Agent said they could not be used as everyone had to show thier license! Didnt make any sense!Only 3 agents working, and most of the time one agent would not process the reservation but walk people outside to show where cars are. It was obvious the agents just wanted a break as the cars were easily identified in each lane.Ill use other companies next time at Sanford as it takes way to long to simply get a car that was reserved using the Fastpass.U

Pricey. They charged me for tolls after I returned the car, which Im not sure why because I paid the tolls when I went through the tollbooths. Probably wouldnt trust them again next time I need a rental car.
Top-flight service we were helped by Meliah she made sure that we understood our rental and went over the paperwork with us. We talked about if there was a military or first responders discount and she told us that next time rather than booking as a package to call them direct. She then upgraded that car, even though she did not have to. It really started our visits on a positive note. Thank You!

I rented a car from SFB from a late Allegient flight and the entire experience was great. Even though I had booked weeks in advance, I heard ahead of me in the pickup line that they were low on cars, and I expected the worst. I was upgraded at no extra change from a standard car to a beautiful 2021 Jeep Wrangler. That made our week! I later called to extend my rental period an extra few days and it was again flawless.
I was traveling with my husband and 3 toddlers with car seats and a double jogging stroller. I did my best to anticipate our vehicle needs but was not successful on my first attempt. After locating a vehicle in the lot that suited our needs Alamo was seamless in helping me switch vehicles as needed! Thank you for the great service!

I rented their minivan at $150 a day. $300 refundable deposit. Asked the lady when I got to the Sanford airport how much it would be if I kept it an extra day. She said $150 more and it would come out of the deposit. When I called Alamo customer service the day I was suppose to return it to the Austin airport, so I could confirm the price for another day he said $280ish. When I asked why, he couldnt give me an answer. When I asked for someone who could give me an answer he hung up on me. Poor customer service.
Kiosk check in, easy, quick. Pre-rent on line. They didnt have the compact car we wanted so gave us a mini van, ugh.

Flew into Sanford SFB. A deal and extremely courteous staff! I was also upgraded to an incredible vehicle! Pickup n drop off was a cinch!
Never really a bad experience. From the counter to the vehicle, everything is pretty easy going. Online reservations are very easy to do as well.
We arrived around 9:30pm. Had reserved a small suv. An employee wanted to put us in a full size truck. Unfortunately I was a month out of foot surgery and climbing out of a truck with NO running boards on it would have been an issue for me for the two weeks we were there! Ended up taking the only suv available, a Nissan Rogue with very little options. No GPS. I dont understand why GPS is not in EVERY vehicle in this day and age! GPS should be AUTOMATIC, NOT an option! Other than that, it was comfortable and economical on gas for a car with little zip. We always use Alamo and have always had good luck, so this was an isolated incident really, but we were disappointed this time. Will try again. Hoping its better next time!
The staff here is always very professional and courteous and thats really saying something because I feel like they definitely could get away with being rude and terrible with the sort of people and situations they faced with on a minute-by-minute basis.
I was extremely impressed with the entire set up! First, they are doing beautifully with social distancing. When they took my credit card they sprayed it down with cleanser. All employees were not only wearing masks, many were wearing gloves, too. They were accommodating and gave me a cute mini cooper to drive around town. Will use on my next visit!

Friendly staff and we were upgraded at no charge due to no available economy vehicles but... our car broke down when we were headed back to the airport. I was eventually able to get it running but we almost missed our flight.

The staff was helpful. If you live local do not use a car rental at the airport. Normally I pay a $200 deposit. However at the airport its a $300 deposit plus 20%. I also had to pay $100 for an economy-size car. If you need a rental make sure prepare in advance and dont rent from the airport if you can help it.
The car rental was cheap but the car looked like it had been abused. There were bugs all over the windshield and the bumper was popped out the bumper also had feathers sticking out of it. A simple was would go a long way with this. It wouldnt have bothered me as much if they didnt charge a bunch of extra fees when I came to pick up the rental after I thought it was paid in full!

We rented a vehicle for 4 days on our recent trip. We upgraded and it was very satisfied with the upgrade and the fair price for the upgrade. However after 2 days we noticed that the tags and inspection sticker (the vehicle had Virginia plates) were expired. This poses an issue and we’re pulled over because of the expired documentation on the vehicle. I called Alamo and was told to drive to An Alamo rental place and thought how inconvenient that would be for us. We proceeded to drive the vehicle and I told the rep that I would take it up with the management when I returned the car. It was not possible for us to drive from St Augustine to switch out the car. When we returned the vehicle Alamo did apologize but said we drive the vehicle and they could only refund $25 for our trouble. Just not sure how a rental car place can get away with allowing vehicles on the road illegally and basically just telling me to take time out of my trip to drive over 90 minutes to return a vehicle that is their responsibility to make sure is legal to drive
Pretty easy, but would appreciate having taxes and airport fees added up front.
So far so good. This is about my 3rd rental with Alamo and it’s been good. Very easy and fast check in and check out! Anytime I need a car now I always look at Alamo first because they always seem to have the best prices as well.

Ive always used Alamo, as they have always been efficient, very friendly, and theres always been a decent choice of vehicles available. If there isnt a vehicle in your class that you like, they are happy to offer something else from one of their sister companys.I booked a full-sized 7:seater SUV, and got this Expedition Max Limited.
