Theres plenty of parking, if your there at 6:30 am. Fished up river till 11. At 11 parking wasnt available.
A separately accessed area that is un-attached to the rest of the Island Ford national park. No parking nearby and no parking on the street. You must park a mile or more away and walk alongside the road to reach this trailhead which displays a No Parking sign on the locked gate. We have not walked in - yet. Should lead to areas of National Park that are infrequently visited, leading to a long stretch of the natural Chattahoochie River. Looks like it is worth the effort to walk in and go around the locked gate on the roadway. Check the maps, plan, bring water, enjoy.
Beautiful trail with great views the Chattahochee River.
