The employees that handled my rental transaction were great. They made everything easy and seamless. I rented a Tahoe for a weekend of camping and shenanigans. I returned my rental with a slight smell of campfire smoke. (4 guys around a campfire can make a smell linger) I offered to get the vehicle detailed and as told that was not necessary, they would handle everything.From beginning to end they made my experience easy, with no issues. In fact they are really nice people. And as icing on the cake, when I dropped off the keys they remembered the details of my trip.
I have always been a loyal Enterprise customer, but they were certainly not transparent regarding our last rental through their San Rafael, CA location.Was told we could do an after-hours drop of the keys, which we did. Come to find out, because of their office hours, no one checked-in the vehicle for four days. Therefore, all those extra days were charged to us, even though the vehicle was not being used for any of them.Yes, we were given the standard “We can’t release liability of the car”, but they weren’t willing to budge at all or at least meet us halfway.Enterprise, next time be clear about dropping off vehicles at your smaller offices. Renting from an airport would’ve saved me hundreds of dollars.
Lela is very helpful and knows her job. I rent frequently and now that She knows what I want she is helping to make sure I always get a car that works well for me. The last car I rented was a new volvo hatchback which I need for my bicycle. I felt safe and it was fun to drive.
LaEna and the crew are always terrific to work with! We rent a large number of vehicles for a week during the school year. They never fail to get us what we need and have them on our campus for us.The cars are clean and in great shape for us to take on our adventures.
The Enterprise office and its staff in my neighborhood (San Rafael CA.)was convenient, quick and courteous. I suggest people use their online registration check in option, as it saved time at the counter. I will use them again! Four out of five stars, because there is always room for improvement.
I see it advertised that Enterprise picks you up and it doesnt specify miles, so from our arrival point to Enterprise totaled 11 miles so we couldnt be picked up for the limit is 5 miles which wasnt advertised in commercials so that was our first disappointment with Enterprise. Then when returned car, our train was scheduled to leave at 10:21am, we had planned on calling Uber to get us from car rental to train station, however for some reason the reception on our phones was failing. My husband and myself were upset and they seemed less than thrilled to help except for offering to call us a cab which seemed like forever to contact and get there. Im not saying that we were to be treated like the King and Queen of San Rafael but we rented the car Friday and returned it on Monday and smiles were never ending while charging us, yet seemed no compassion when we were in a jam. 11 miles is not that far off from 5 only 6 more miles and a small price to pay for returning customers, however we wont be using Enterprise again unless no other options are available.
Great service, Fast turn around and gave us a great rate even though we didnt have rental car coverage on our insurance. We had the car over 3+ weeks and they were great while we got our car repaired.Highly recommend them.

Brandon at Enterprise San Rafael really went the extra mile to provide excellent customer service. When the other branch in San Rafael messed up the timing of my day for me by not picking me up on time from the auto body shop, Brandon had a car delivered to me at work, and even upgraded my car. Thats how you do customer service!
I received absolutely fantastic customer service from LaEna and Colin at the San Rafael West branch. They quickly met all my needs with care and a smile. I highly recommend them.
Rented a car to drive to Tahoe while on vacation. Staff was not at all insightful or knowledgeable on Caltrans and the potential tire chains requirements. I was also informed Enterprise does not provide tire chains as a matter of policy. Had to purchase chains elsewhere--which I fortunately did not have to use.
These people have their heads up their a&&e&. I had a simple request: needed a same day car rental and I wanted to use my debit card to pay. They made it so difficult with their demands of two ids with street address on them when I never ever use my street address but a p o box. They are the kind of people who just keep repeating thats our corporate policy about every stupid rule they have. There are plenty of more reasonable customer friendly places to rent a car in san rafael.

Icandthese people are not professionals, last month some one hit my car and the insurance company reserved me a car from the enterprise rental cars, when I got there I told them about my claim number and the insurance company told me that my rental is fully covered, then when I went to pick up the car they wanted me to get insurance and they know that Im already covered they just play stupid, then they asked me for the driver license and and a credit card $50 deposit, I did, then when I returned the car.they credited my the $50, but they changed my credit card $75.i found out the next day when I checked my account, I went back to the rental cars they said it was a mistake, it will take two days to credit my account. four day later nothing happened I had to go back again and tell them l didnt get my $75 back, they said we forgot you will get your money in two days, I told them you give me my money in cash or I will call the police, while I was calling the police, the employee came and gave the prove that they credited my account, three days later it was in my account, see how much they wasted my time. I dont trust them.

Location very understaffed, be prepared to wait, and wait, and wait some more. On an upside, the little staff they had were very friendly and helpful. It seems like on a corporate level Enterprise is only focused on profit, not customer service or being a decent place to work for their employees.
Ours was a one day rental. The pick-up and drop-off were quick and easy. The car was clean and the staff friendly.
