We used Action Air through Costco. If I could go back and start over... First it took two days to complete the job. 2 days weeks apart!! The 2nd tech that came to finish the job had no idea where the first tech left off. He asked us what still had to be done. Huh?? As far as workmanship I would say average. We have the dirty hand prints all over to show it. They brought the furnace unit through the cold air return and left that a mess! I guess no one showed them how to use a box cutter to go around and loosen the paint and caulk around the vent before removingit. Looks like I have some re-do and ceiling painting to do. My wife asked the tech about future service before he left. He laughed and said, good luck....were so booked.. Hopefully its as trouble free as the previous ~25 year old system. ....9/5/21 update...Thank you for your response. So far a manager has not contacted me. In addition to the mess with air return intake vent, the tech also drilled through the wall and put a hole in my pocket door when mounting the thermostat. He also had to mount the thermostat up higher than the original leaving the corner exposed. He had to cover the hole he left when he tried to pull wire down the plaster channel. Easy fix but sloppy work. We also found a can light pushed out below where they were working in the attic. For ~12k I sure expect better.

I was very impressed and pleased with this company. The person who assisted me on my original call to set up an appointment was professional and nice. On the day of my appointment I received a text message letting me know who to expect and they actually gave me a little background on him - seriously impressed with this! Samual was the tech and he too was professional, polite and knowledgeable. I would highly recommend Action Air Conditioning and will use them again in the future when needed.

Firstly, Action AC and heating has been an oustanding support to our family. We all have, individual and collectively been completely thrilled by the service and care.That being said, Rudy and assistance raised the bar too far exceed our expectations. They took their time to fixed and explained the issues with our AC, they even drove to 3 HomeDepot location to find the items needs to replace in order to get the job done. Rudy made sure we’re comfortable and AC is up and running. His care and high touch courtesy were exemplary. From the very beginning, Rudy and assistance established a rapport to ensure I was comfortable and aware of each steps since my husband wasn’t home. For a small, reasonably priced monthly fee, I get twice yearly seasonal service to change filters & check my systems operation. A benefit to the maintenance program is that any repairs, equipment & emergency visits are discounted. Its easy to schedule services. The customer service representatives are kind & patient. The technicians are incredibly knowledgeable & trustworthy. They are informative & keep me updated on what is needed to keep my almost 20 yr old system maintained & working well. Josh and Nacho were fantastic. They were clean and efficient all the way through. Josh took the time to explain the details of the work and taught me how to use my new equipment. They left the job site clean as a whistle. It was an excellent experience from start to finish

They were ok, but not great. They had to schedule the initial dryer vent cleaning out about a month. Then, when they cleaned it, they broke off a piece of the vent-see pic. They didnt respond quickly when I let them know. It took about another month for them to fix it, and they left the painting to me. Grateful that I waited to pay them until finally complete.

The workmen were not wearing masks. They installed a new part, and then asked for immediate payment even though no invoice was available. They said they would email an invoice. We had to phone head office to get an invoice. They sent it three times and asked for payment. Also, the invoice had three areas to sign approvals of the work on and these had been signed by someone not us. On the bright side, the ac is quieter now

Replacing a 16 years old system in an older house was not an easy decision, given the complexity of the task, the advance in technology over the last 20 years, the final cost. Asking for recommendations and checking for reviews, Action became the winner amongst many competing companies - after a long and rigorous research. Justin showed best knowledge and professionalism in explaining all the options available, the particulars of my house, the details of each available AC, Furnace and Ducting options so I could fully understand and take an informed decision on the best solution for us, what needs to be replaced. Preston and Joe installed our new Lennox AC and a furnace and did an amazing job. They were punctual, stayed on the job until completion, explained everything to me and were very professional and polite. We are very pleased with this service.

The original installers were in a hurry. There are several things that were done incorrectly, and a follow up service call was needed when the air conditioning stopped working. Had the air conditioning unit not had a shut off, my house would’ve flooded. They did not install the drain pipe correctly causing the drain pan to fill with 5 gallons of water that needed to be removed from the attic. The drain pipe then needed to be fixed.I had also asked them if they capped the gas line and they had forgot. They also forgot to seal the hole from the old exterior lines and only did this when I mentioned it.They also damaged several irrigation lines while installing the exterior unit.I am definitely getting a longer ladder to access my attic in case there are other issues.If you use them, verify the work.

The technician was very thorough and knowledgeable. But I would not use this company again for any work. They said tune up special is 59$ compared to others were charging 75$. So I scheduled with them as their technicians had good reviews overall. After the technician shows up for appointment, he says the 59$ is only for the first unit. Second unit is 129$. So total for 2 units 188$. He did give me the option to service only one unit for 59$ and not service the other. To me this is a scam. At least other companies were honest and upfront with 75$ per unit for a total 150$. Difference is not much so I went ahead with both units and paid 188$. May be if you only have one unit, their special will work for you. But I would not use these Action air guys again.

Action Air installed a new state of the art Lennox HVAC in our 1961 house, and made it work with the layout and power that we had. The crew were neat and clean while working, and did a very professional job on all aspects of the installation. We had to wait longer than we would have liked to schedule our install, but the quality was totally worth waiting for. After this experience we would not use anyone else.

We have their service membership so we get free maintenance and a repair credit for issues under warranty. Had our AC go out (would not turn on) and called for service. Due to being a part of their service program, we got priority scheduling so an initial availability of nearly a week turned into 2 days. Travis came out and checked things out and literally resolved the issue in 5 minutes ( a loose connection not in the AC but in the furnace). No cost, no hassle, very prompt and polite service, and our house is back in business with AC!

He diagnosed the issue and it was a simple fix he performed on the spot, then monitored the system for an hour to ensure it was working properly. Great service and attention to detail, explained everything upfront of what was needed before being charged anything additional.

I received two bids, from two different companies, the prior year and decided to hold off. John from Action Air provided me with options. The bid I got from Action air was equal to or slightly better than the other companies for mini split and thousands of dollars cheaper to upgrade and install new AC and ducts. The other companies weren’t interested in replacing my ducts since my “attic” is a very very tight space. The job was very difficult but Connor and Brandon got it done. I explained where air flow had been the poorest and Connor mapped out the plan and went over it with me. They could not have worked any harder or have been any more professional.

Very happy with my service that I received from Jimmy. He was on time 8 a.m. sharp. He introduced himself and his partner. He explained what the process was going to be how long it would take Etc. I found him to be very professional and personable. At the end of the job he walked me and my son through the whole procedure and showed us and explain to us exactly what he had done. Before he left he and partner checked one more time and left the work area very clean. Very satisfied with their work.

While my overall experience with Action Air was fair, they left the job site dirty (dangerous for my dog if he would have eaten some sharp piece of metal) and the quality of finishing work was lacking. Also, something I was originally quoted was removed last minute in what I would say was a deceptive manner. While its my fault I missed it this action seemed shady and not the kind of customer service I would hope for.Edit: I was told a group of mangers wanted to come out, after your company disrespected my home I dont feel like having a bunch of you out. I did let Larry my sales rep know that he could come out but did not take me up on the offer.

On Tues afternoon, the two techs from Action arrived on time and performed the annual AC maintenance routine, no problems, and the AC was running when they left.Something new(?), I got an email with an attached report detailing their actions and results. I glanced at it.One day later, lateThursday afternoon, the house was a bit warm. I checked the electronic thermostat ... It was dead. Checked with a meter: no power at the thermostat. Outside, the circuit breaker was OK.Back upstairs, I saw the condensate overflow tank was full and the float switch had caused the shutdown. In our 17 yrs with this HVAC, installed by Action, this has never happened before. Back outside, I saw the bottom of the condensate drain pipe was pushed down a bit, down into the mud alongside the house. I repositioned it slightly, the water flowed out, and the AC was again operational.The emailed report did show the condensate line was ✔-ed off as okay. Maybe, while doing their work around the compressor, the men accidently stepped on or otherwise mispositioned the drain, which is tie-wrapped alongside one of the freon lines coming out of the compressor.Perhaps I should brace the drain line so this cant happen. Perhaps the service process needs to check this better.

Pros: I am glad Action Air provided excellent pricing on new Evaporative coils which my old one only five years old had severely corroded mysteriously for reasons no one could explain.Cons: I wish they are more friendlier on the phone they seem very stern on the phone. Not good phone manner for a customer service representative. Also I as an owner would like to be able to look at my own system before I have to agree to work that I have to pay for. Even if you guys dont want to share ladders due to COVID or other reasons please respect owners wishes to be able to see the potential troublespots/worksite via own their ladder prior to starting.These days its hard enough that HVAC companies and builders built their systems so hard to see for a homeowner. We would prefer a company that allows transparency rather than having us blindy trust their words. So please makes things easy for the owner before proposing any major high budget repairs.

After reading some pretty good reviews on this company, I called around 9am on 08/24/2020. I explained our A/C issues to customer service Rep. named Jordan... he said he was booked and had nothing available until the following Thurs., unless I wanted their emergency service call after 5pm (that day) which he said would cost a $149 for the 1st 1/2 hour then would revert to the regular hourly rate of $85.00 (WHAT A SCAM...they KNOW people without A/C are desperate). Because of the current heatwave w/ no A/C I tentatively agreed (Sherlock offered a similar option for $120). THANK GOD I found Miguel (and Son) owner of California Temperature Control..I called him at 9:15am he answered promptly and said he was just finishing up a job in Del Mar and said he would squeeze me in and come over right away before heading to a large commercial job in Murrieta. Miguel check the blower relay (fine), checked the condensation tray (dripping) and tube (clogged). They cleaned both thoroughly, installed a new filter, checked and and added freon to the outside unit. Orig. diagnostic call was $89 + $211 for the filter, labor to clean the tray and tube, freon & leak kit =$300 total....THANKFUL. Besides Action Air trying to scam a high priced service call from us, JORDAN (sounded jr.college age) had a pretty damn snarky attitude...basically acted like he was doing me a favor by getting me an emergency service call the same day. Even so, I did the right thing and called them to cancel the appt. and the woman who answered said Jordan HAD CANCELLED THE APPT HE MADE FOR US FOR NO APPARENT REASON? I would LOVE to meet this guy in person face to face one day. AT LEAST Sherlock was professional and polite when I called to cancel my emergency appt I had with them as well.

I called them because Action Air installed the heater 31 years ago when the house was new. Would recommend them for all heating, AC or solar needs.
