Great cut for my son. The gentlemen working the scissors are all fantastic, disarming and professional. Would certainly recommend the shop for anyone looking for an authentic, genuine barbershop.

My husband has been going to Ray for nearly 30 years, and now we bring our 2 year old son for his haircuts. Josh also gives a really nice hair cut. We have introduced many friends and family to this barber shop. $20.00 plus tip for a mans haircut and a conversation in a barber chair in an establishment that hasnt changed much since the 70s. Talk about a walk back in time. Andersons Barber Shop has a long history in SLO. They do take appointments and walk ins on the weekend. Closed Sunday and Monday.

Great haircuts for a good price. The place has an old fashion feel to it. The guys working there are fun to talk with. Ive been coming here every two weeks or so for a year and I love their work.

Small shop. But clean and has that old fashion look to it. Ive always called ahead and have been able to get in within 60 minutes. The barber is always friendly. If I ever need a cut and Im in this area, Ill be a repeat customer.

Legit, Old School Barber Shop. Make an appointment and show up on time (better yet be old school and do like they used to back in the day... if you are early, then you are on time; if you are on time, then you are late; if you are late, then you loose your place). The shop is busy and will fill your space if you flake, or show up late. They get people trying to walk in without appointments all day long, so if it looks like you are a no show, then they will move on to the next customer. No credit cards / debit cards, as offering that either raises the cost to the customer, or cuts into the bottom line of the business. If you want to show up without an appointment, then go on their walk-in day on Saturday. If you do, then expect to be in a line and have to wait to be seen (they have chairs and magazines for your wait--and plenty of conversation to entertain).

First time at this shop and I loved it. They were really respectful, and extremely detailed. My cut came out super fresh, definitely will be going back.

We were 9 minutes late (although he said we were 15 minutes late when I called to explain my frustration) and they turned my brother away from his appointment and told us to come back later in the day. We drove 45 minutes just to get there and dont have time to come back. Last time they cut my brothers hair they made us wait 15 minutes or so and we didnt have a problem with it but when we were a little late this time they turn us away. Im mad mostly because we werent even that late and one guy wasnt even cutting someones hair when my brother walked in (also because we drove for so long just to get there). Yeah Im frustrated for wasting gas and our time. We liked how they cut his hair before but not business friendly enough for us to return.

Ray has been cutting my hair here every month for 25 years. The best I ever look is when I walk out the door with a new haircut. I told him he cant retire until I go bald.
