Class is always fun, informative and gripping. Haha get it?!Anyways, Sensei Jonah and Sensei Cody are great teachers and they teach more than just the movement of Judo- I find that the lessons in class apply to many things in life.Cheers^^

I joined Oakland Judo about 2 months ago because I didnt do any sport for the past 15years and was really out of shape (kept gaining weight, always tired, exhausted to walk up stairs, etc.. ). I felt welcome right away at this place; I come to practice several times a week and already feel the difference. I lost at least 10lbs so far, I sleep better and feel much more energetic in my daily life which is great. I definitely recommend this place if you are trying to get back in shape in a friendly environment.

My 7 year old daughter just loves Oakland Judo! Wonderful teacher for all levels, welcoming community. Parents can watch the class. Lots of free parking. And next to convenience store and great ice cream if your child arrives or leaves hungry or thirsty :)

Fun, educational, and supportive environment to learn judo in. Sensei Jonah teaches all levels and often has many guests come in to share specialities in their techniques. Highly recommend 510 judo. He also teaches all ages.

My child has been there since the beginning, three years ago. We loveJonah sensei!! He has such a patient teaching style. His business has grown from just my child to now over 20 students plus more adults. At the reasonable price you can’t beat it!It is great!!

When I first came to Oakland I had tried out about a dozen schools in the area and Oakland Judo stood out amongst them all, even when they had the smaller facility. The teaching is on point, the people who make up the class body are awesome, cost was within my budget, and the class times fit my schedule. Now that they moved to a larger facility, it was a no brainer to join.

I have a black belt in Aikido and decades of experience in martial arts and for me Sensei Jonah has been one of the best martial arts teachers l have ever had.

As a long-time martial artist whos trained with Jonah and Omar for many years, I have nothing but respect for their grappling. Both are incredibly talented and generous instructors as well as active fighters at the top of their game (Jonah is a recent national champ in Judo and Omar competes in the pro Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu circuit). They have a great adult group for both hobbyists and competitors and a thriving kids class also. Highly recommend 510 Judo for all grapplers in the area.

Awesome facility, dojo, and class offerings. Overall a great vibe of support with discipline and excellence of training.

I had a fun time out to the beginners class with some friends. It was my first time and met quite a few people. Learned a few different ways to fall and even got to do some light wrestling at the end. Ill be joining.

Ive been wandering around the bay area like a puppy, looking for a dojo to call home, and the minute I walked through the door and saw Jonah sensei teaching a kids class with the biggest smiles on their faces I knew I had found it. Ive competed and trained under some of the most esteemed Judo Masters around the world, and I can attest in all sincerity that Oakland Judo is judo at its finest

This is a great place to learn and practice Judo. Everyone is helpful, and Jonah is very patient and relaxed, which helps the atmosphere of the class.
