If I could I would give zero stars. Horrible service, all newbies that dont know what they are doing. I waited for over an hour after checking in for my appointment and was told to wait outside for them to call due to covid and never received a call. DO NOT COME HERE
Went to appointment at the San Leandro Location to have impressions done for upper and lower partials. The staff at the front desk was very helpful and professional. They took proper precautions for patients to practice social distancing and had sanitizing supplies out front for everyone to use.The dentist in the back area that took care of me was very helpful, very detailed, and made me feel comfortable. She was very knowledgeable and explained the different options of treatment.Thank you Western Dental for your excellent services!!❤
I like western dental because they’re everywhere so that makes it easy to transfer documents BUT, it’s so hard to book an appointment and be seen and it’s even harder due to the pandemic. I’ve know for almost a year that my top wisdom teeth need to be extracted but every time I tell them, the paperwork is filled out incorrectly so many letter sent to my home about the paperwork being filled out incorrectly and finally today I think that they got it right. For a cleaning. I am usually in and out within an hour if I check in 30 minutes before my appointment time.Though I like them they did make me upset because they booked me an appointment twice. Once at 3:30 and I couldn’t even get my teeth cleaned because that was close to their closing time so all they did was look at my gums and a quick check of my teeth. She suggested 2 wisdom teeth extractions,, one of my fills get replaced and said I had one cavity I told he I had more but she said I didn’t.I came back one week later got one cavity filled. I told him I had to make an appointment for the extractions and that I had more fillings that needed to be done. They were booked and it was closing time so of course I get another appointment.I was rescheduled like 5 different times and today I was finally seen and the doctor who diagnosed me the first time replaced my filling and did found another cavity that needed to be filled as I had mentioned to them before.Finally today after months of calling my insurance and trying to get my top wisdom teeth extracted I think the paperwork is filled out correctly

This place is the worse and worst place. I have been there twice and both day experience was worst. The first time I have been I waited long- like 3 hours I was trying to understand thinking it is the pandemic and it is my first time being there BUT the front desk was not nice- it feels like nobody likes what they are doing, unorganized and treats patient the same way they feel- the second time I went with my son, he got an x-ray and been told to wait for 30 minutes to see the doctor and waited for an hour and I asked if I should be in and again been told to wait for couple of minutes but finally they told me The doctor cant see him! And to make anotherschedule. Which I promised that I wont go back ever again! People I tell you please please DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE! Unless you want some disappointment!

Every time I take my daughter in for appointment we end up waiting 45 minutes to over an hour past our appointment time. And good luck getting them to answer the phone. If my wife hadnt already paid for my daughters braces in advance I would be taking her some place else.
This place is the worst place to do your braces, If you read this please dont do your braces in this location, when something comes up, you are going to have a big problem trying to contact the right person to solve the issue, because everyone wash their hands, even the manager told me that she will call me and never did, so I make an appointment with her, and she cancel the appointment. I called customer service and the same thing, they trasfer you with every body,except the right one to talk about the issue. WORST PLACE TO DO YOU BRACES. Seve your money and go to a different location.
This is the worst ortho and dental office ever in life. I am never coming here again or recommending anybody to any of their services. My appointments have been cancelled repeatedly to the point I’ve asked to remove my braces, waited 4 week because no appointments were available when I asked in July and guess what!!! They called me at 4pm the day before scheduled removal to say they lost my retainers and do not have them. They didn’t call with a solution. They just left me on stand by to talk to the manager tomorrow! I am leaving on vacation and they have inconvenienced me to the max! Never again! The people at the front desk are not good with customer service at all and nobody seems like they are able to help with nothing!!!!!
I like Western dental it’s easy to find everywhere but its too pricey because my insurance it doesn’t cover the whole cost of my cleaning and fillings i like their services its so fast
I was seen by the Dr within 10 mins from the time of my appt. This was great... all personel was friendly, informative and professional. The Doctor was Nadella; the Assistant was Wen and the Coordinator was Kim.
This is by far the worst dentist/orthodontist I have ever been to. They are extremely unprofessional. Booked me for an appointment then said they didn’t have time to complete my appointment for braces. Also over heard them saying how they have to RUSH on another patient. I then told them I no longer wanted to continue working with them because they don’t care about their patients and they’re unprofessional and now they are trying to overcharge me almost $3,000 for one visit in which they didn’t even put all my braces on! Next I called patient relations to report the situation and they laughed and hung up on me! Definitely will be reporting this to the CA dental board and BBB

This is the worst dental office that I have ever been to. I had my scheduled plan out to get other procedure the week after my cleaning and filling at Western dental. I received the appointment card and I came to western office on time to get treatments, then the receptionist told me that she can’t find my appointment without my appointment card. I went home and called western dental and the operator made me another appointment couple hours later for the same day. I came to office again and another receptionist told me they couldn’t do my filling because it was not opened, which was not what the lady, named Kimberly, told me in my previous appointment that I could have both procedures in the same day. I had no choice but to do cleaning and take care of filling later. The second receptionist then told me the wait time going to be long because the operator put me on schedule of someone’s appointment. The only reason I even waited because I didn’t want to delay my procedure the week after. Staffs communicate is almost zero. You need to have an appointment card to get treatment if you don’t have it with you when you get to the office then the computer would not find you, then you can’t get treatment that you already scheduled with this dental office. that is the way Western dental operate.
I Called four days ago for a orthodontist appointment but before my orthodontist appointment They said I needed a cleaning for my teeth so She made an appointment for the dentist before my orthodontist appointment. I go to my dentist appointment for cleaning at 11:30 AM. And I get called in at 12:30 PM . An whole hour late which was frustrating because I had work. When I got called in they said I needed an X-ray done ok fine. Then, she said she couldn’t do the X-ray and neither my cleaning today because the ORTHODONTIST WAS CLOSED & I had braces. They did not tell me anything. My time as truly been wasted. They gave me another date like everything was fine. This all happened because of the woman I was on the phone with in the first place. She should’ve told me or should have given a date when the orthodontist was open.
Worse service ever was scheduled for an appt and when I got there I was told to wait for two hours multiple peoeple was there yelling about how they also been there for appts and wasnt able to be seen. The front desk workers are so rude and unprofessional and do not care to assist you they just look at you and if you dont look like them then they ignore you and talk to the people of the same race as them
I came to western dental because I need a deep cleaning the staff are professional and friendly the staff took my temperature and help me with my appointment didn’t took that long this is my second time with western dental for deep cleaning and they did a good job on my teeth ! This is the worst dentist in the world. please do not go here. i had to get 4 fillings for my cavities and knew nothing about the process and after care at all. i had to google everything because they tell you nothing about. they just say you need this and that after giving you a check up and then when it’s time to get what you need done, you go in and lay on the dentist chair and they just start doing what you’re scheduled for and then you leave. no explanation before or after. they gave me white tooth colored fillings and then in the front of my teeth on the bottom row they gave me a black tooth filling. now every time i talk, laugh, or say “ahh” it looks like i have a rotten black tooth. going in before they ever touched my teeth, that whole row of teeth was white and so was the tooth that they filled. they turned my white tooth into black and it’s not like it’s in the back where no one can see. i feel like crying because all i do is laugh and smile and that’s the first thing that people will see is my now black rotten looking tooth. when i came in and before i got the fillings they never went over the different types of fillings nor did they ask me what type or kind of filling i wanted in the first place, regardless of if it would cost extra or not or if my insurance covered it or not. i don’t understand why they would give me tooth colored fillings in some areas in my mouth and then black ones in the front of my mouth? if anything put the black fillings in the back where they aren’t noticeable? this place is very unprofessional. each visit it was a whole different dentist doing my teeth. when i was getting that horrible ugly black filling, the dentist was a woman who kept going back and forth doing my tooth and then doing another person, doing my tooth and then doing another person at the same time. which is unsanitary to me? especially during covid 19? i guess they were short on staff? and when you call this place to make an appointment or to just talk to the front desk for anything you will never get through. they never answer the phones and you always get transferred to the costumer service line which is someone in a whole different state/country answering your questions and concerns. when you call, there is an automated person speaking all the time and it says the location you are calling is currently closed, when it isn’t. this place is just all bad. nightmare. and when i eat ice cream, the side bottom row where i had the black tooth filling hurts like heck, and it’s been 3 weeks since i’ve had it filled. save your money and don’t go here. please find somewhere else to go to the dentist/orthodontist. i canceled my root canals cause i wouldn’t dare get them done here if they ruined my teeth with just an average filling, imagine what they’d do with a root canal. i want to cry.

My appointment was at 2:00PM when I got there I was told that my appointment was changed to 3:00PM...I wasn’t called to the back until 3:52PM and that was after I asked why wasn’t my name called....After being took to the back it’s took them 30mins to take X-rays! After that was done I was told to sit down in the chair and wait for the doctor...I sat there for 48mins waiting on a doctor to come and treat me...I ended up not getting seen and just walking out....PLACE IS HORRIBLE!

This was the worst treatment I have ever had in my life, feeling hurt by having defrauded my treatment. I dont recommend the place.The attendants and students are very nice and helpful. I started my orthodontic treatment in January 2019. On March 4, 2020, I had an appointment and the doctor explained the next procedures to me as usual.On April 1, orthodontic cleaning and maintenance was scheduled, but with the pandemic the two consultations were canceled.In early May, a bracket had come loose from the tooth and the metal line was tearing my mouth and it was badly hurt, everything I ate tasted like blood.I called several times, sent an email and went to the place, without success and until today without any answer.In the beginning of June they reopened, I was able to make an emergency appointment and maintenance appointment on June 29th, I had to endure the bruises in my mouth for 2 months because they could not attend me before, and it could only be Mondays.The emergency was resolved and, since the 4th of March without maintenance, on the 29th of June there was another doctor, my doctor had explained before the pandemic that the treatment would be to remove the ball of protective dough, increase the thickness of the line metal, change the type of elastic and other things, but on June 29 the current doctor did not do any of the treatment that the other doctor had explained, only changed the elastic for another one equal to the type he had.Once again, it was difficult to schedule the next appointment, which would be for 4 weeks and scheduled for 6 weeks, only Monday days and no other days.Today, August 17th, 6 weeks after the last consultation, my teeth are still crooked with huge space between them, they havent moved even 1mm, the current doctor changed only the elastic for another one of the same type, I asked him and he told me who could not do anything for me, refused to do the correct treatment, that if I wanted to, I would have to wait another 4 weeks for my doctor to come back.Upon arriving at the reception to schedule, I was informed that no other doctor will attend, my doctor is away because he is part of the risk group and only the current doctor (who refused to do my treatment) will be attending.And to make matters worse, it should be attended to in 4 weeks for the correct treatment, they have no space for next appointments, I have to try to call next week and if I am lucky to get an appointment at the end of October (more than 10 weeks to wait).I am stuck with a contract, if I terminate the contract I will still have more damage.Every month they discount the amount as per the contract on the right day. Almost 6 months without correct treatment, with teeth in the same way since March 4th.Unfortunately students cannot do anything without the doctors authorization, and the current doctor makes no difference because he refuses to do the correct treatment of patients.Edit 04/06/21: 1h waiting outside in the cold and standing up because they never attend the appointment at the scheduled time!
This office has been great from the moment I first visited. I had questions about my insurance and they were able to show me everything it was able to cover. First visit was very quick. I got checked in and the doctor fully explained what was going on with my dental health.The staff at the front desk was very polite. Amma was very helpful with telling me what I needed and the costs that would involve for certain procedures. I’d definitely look forward to more visits.
Neither of the 2 employees who set up and gave me a deep cleaning introduced themselves to me. They just began setting up the workstation, number my mouth & began working. They were not rude, I just didn’t hear either employee use names with each other or with me.In the future scheduling of deep cleanings, please schedule both appointments close together so that I won’t have to miss 2 days of work.Wanda Davis
I love this place compared to my old dentist office. I knew I had to change dentists, you just know when it’s time. I took a chance and have not been disappointed in any way. Just be prepared to wait a lot longer if you book an appt in the afternoon due to other people arriving late throughout the day. All the staff have been great they are always in motion with a smile 😊😊

Nightmare dentist, front desk receptionist are not welcoming and they obviously look like they hate their job and giving customer service. Not to mention you cant even call directly it sends your call to random call center in which are the worst. The wait is unbelievable, my daughter went in for a xray exam and without telling me they just moved her to do a cleaning. The cleaning took from 4pm to 6:40 and her teeth do not look like they got a cleaning. She waited for the cleaning for 2 hours till 6:30 pm for a 2 to 3 min cleaning.
Bad customer service. There is a small white lady that speaks so low it seems as if she hates her job. I never see her smile. She never meets my needs, when I asked for rubber bands she ignored me and went back to talking to another lady. I always have a hard time setting appointments or making payments with this office.
They say they close at 7. I arrived at 6:15 to pay a bill and the doors were already locked with people still in the waiting room as one was being called in by one of the assistance. Went back to my car and called the office and I asked if they closed at 7 the lady said yes but followed by a pause For sure she knew I was the one that was at the door i said all I want is to pay my bill she quickly says let me transfer you to the bill department Great customer service

Worst place to go, once you sign for payments they won’t stop calling you asking you for the rest of the money, even though you sign to do it on payments, and at the end after they can’t do the job right they ask for extra money that’s because they collected all before if you want it done you have to pay it.one more when you come for your appointment half hour before simple they call you telling you your appointment has been canceled.Don’t waste your money money and time time going there...........once again one more of the same stuff I can wait to get over with the treatment I already paid for I set up an appointment for February 16 and they just don’t have that on records incredible but real if you are trying to get seen by a dentist please don’t waste your money and time.
Bad service
I was on the schedule for some dental work this week but I had to cancel due to a family situation. I had not read the reviews before and now that I am going through those reviews that make me think of a garden of horrors I am wondering if I should reschedule. Honestly, I was fairly satisfied with my first encounter with them but there is nothing reassuring in their current 1.5 rating. Is there someone out there that has anything good to say about this place?
I like the way they take care of any problem or the patients needs with great care. You are given choices in methods of payment. You are given choices in what you want done or what can be done. They have courteous, professional, and skilled workers, dentists. They do not use cheap products in crowns, root canals, fillings, and etc. Frankly this is why Im a Western Dental customer.
How to ruin your day with western dental. First of all I had an APPOINTMENT for 1PM for a check up and regular cleaning, basically went there for them to brush my teeth. Such a simple procedure took 3 and a half hours, I was waiting in the lobby for a good 30, was taken for teeth X-ray, was put back in the lobby for another 40min, was sat in the chair and waited for another 30, doctor looked at teeth, that has Been the only thing done beside the easy x ray, I then was going to get my teeth cleaned, almost a full hour was spent in the chair waiting, and the office was not even full, there where 5 empty chairs, I was finally getting my teeth cleaned, after almost 4 hours I have successfully had my teeth brushed. Complete waste of time, UNORGANIZED staff, outrageous waiting times and possibly understaffed. As a young adult looking for jobs when I can I would immediately turn down a chance to work there as I can not imagine how chaotic the work is and the already mad clients
What a ghetto rag tag bunch of unorganized and unprofessional people working here. Never felt so insignificant in a doctors office before. No privacy and no concern for customers well being and time. They bring you into the back room which is just seats lined all the way down the hall. Take about 20 xrays and then have you wait staring at a blank white wall for hours before they even begin working on you. Then they give you misinformation and the billing is very confusing and frustrating.Save your self some sanity and time and do a little more research for your dental procedures. Nothing here made me want to come back.

On the 17th of May I took my cousin to this facility for her appointment at 3pm. We arrived early, when we went to check in, we were told that her appointment was at 10.30am that day. I did not have the appointment card with me at that time to prove the appointment time, so I had to reschedule the appointment. When I got home I found the card it stated May 17, 3pm. WHY!!!!!!

Western Dental & Orthodontist is a great place to get dental and ortho work. However, when it comes to visiting the orthodontist, it’s all about timing, and you’d never expect to show up on the wrong day outside of appointment schedules. I went in a few times for an emergency, and I was enraged when it was revealed the orthodontists aren’t available on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. If you have an ortho emergency on those specific days, have another orthodontist on hand as part of a contingency plan, or simply wait.
Shut it Down!!! I went years ago, and look today people are still complaining. When I went, they refused medical care after I waited four hours, because one deal would have more money then other deal. Plus 3 black people were pushed back on the schedule four hours; while every one coming in after was seen. This is not the first or the last case.The message they were sending is, dont come here. Some of us listen. Would you trust them in your mouth after that? A job, does not mean a person is not crazy or evil. A job means you need to eat so you work.Who looks at 20 complaints and ongoing and keeps responding with cookie cutter responses to each complaint? Im telling you guys just look at the responses over the YEARS... Can you find any solutions in them? Hmmm.This will happen to the next customer.Go see a natural dentistry because almost all dentist westernized in learning and not well-rounded, will load your mouth with chemical crap your health pays for later. You will notice your treated better all the way around. Sign up for medical health credit cards and make payments if your insurance wont cover it. It feels great to deal with equal intelligence customer service so pay for it elsewhere and plan ahead.
Very unprofessional! It sucks that Im on a braces contract with this location, I wouldve went somewhere else. When I scheduled my 1st visit with the general dentist, I told them that I have dental insurance then I gave them my insurance information so they can confirm it before my appointment. The day of my appointment, I arrive & they said that they forgot to confirm my insurance information. They said I cant get seen by the dentist until my insurance gets confirmed, this is a Saturday so my insurance company was closed. They then told me that I have to reschedule... Also sometimes the staff at the front desk would schedule an appointment for me then when I show up to the appointment, they would say Im not scheduled even tho I would have proof (either a western dental appointment card or a call recording from my phone)

On April 3, 2018 I called Western Dental due to a Dental Emergency and was left on hold for 1 hour & 8 minutes!! This is totally unacceptable for any business to do!! I did express to the woman before putting me on hold, I needed immediate care, could they help me... I did call back to ask, “why she left me on hold”!This negative experience took place at approximately 3 PM in San Leandro, CA.I asked who the Office Manager was and all of a sudden she couldn’t hear me & hung up... THE END!!!
This is the worst dental office. I feel like Im in DMV. They make us wait for 1 hr 30mins for 3 mins cleaned my son teeth. And not sure that they really cleaned his teeth. Please away from western dental. And making appointment is a nightmare.

This has to be the worst experience ever at the Dentist thus far. My son and I arrived 15 minutes early, his appointment was at 1230pm and here it is almost 2pm and we havent been seen yet. The worst part is that they havent even gave us status. From listening to the other parents complain, their children are also here to see the specialist. What it appears to me is that they severely over booked to make the most money with the specialist, but they failed to think about the quality of service. This is highly unacceptable and they never have to worry about me or my child returning. Customer always should come first so they will return. Terrible!

Appt was at 9:00, only two people waiting to be seen, first two appts of the day. Its like they wait to start prepping when they open at nine.. I was seated at 9:30. Its 10:30 and Im still just sitting here waiting while the staff gossips.... About to walk out, I should be done by now and I havent even been seen..
I had a great experience at this western dental, it is the best western dental Ive been to in my 20 years alive.The people in the back are amazing.I caught one persons name and her name is Olivia.She was so nice and I saw her helping the other people in the back all the time.

Worst dental experience ever. The place is messy that I would not imagine it is a dental center. They let me waited an hour for teeth cleaning. I finally went in and took my x-ray. The lady who took my x-ray kept coming back and forth. After I finished taking the x-ray, I waited another hour for the dentist. When I told the receptionist I was not interested in doing fillings that day, I had to wait an hour for another dentist. All I would do was staring at the clock. I had waited at least 3 hours in total for a 30 minutes teeth cleaning. The lady who cleaned my teeth was so sloppy, my gums were hurt and bleeding like crazy.I went back there a month later to get my x-ray for another dental center that I am going now. They charged me $31 for the x-ray. My current dentist said the quality of the x-ray was not good and I will need to take another one in 2 or 3 months.
I am trying to get my smile back so that I could go back to work. The State of California Department of Rehabilitation has authorized $2,500 to accomplish that but Western Dental does not have a clue to the procedure. This has been going on since May 2015. Since the evaluation and x-rays have never made it back to the department to review and approve which procedures it would pay for, I have had to have three teeth pulled and will have three more pulled since these people do not give a crap. With those 6 teeth missing, I have nothing to build anything on and the department will not pay for dentures. Everyone loses in this matter. i dont get my smile back, Western Dental does not get $2,500 and the Department has a failure instead of a success story to tell. WD does not want to make anyone smile so how can I make you smile today is a bogus slap in the face everytime I hear it.This place has dashed all hopes of returning to the work force. I will remain on disability until I die now. Nothing to look forward to. I wish that I had never lost my job as my dentist was top notch and performed beautiful work on my smile over a ten year period. Now it is all for naught.
They took my smile lefteye wouldnt close still cant smilelike before paralized my left cheek worst experience in my life at a dental place loved the dentist before know traumatized..
These people suck so f****** much! Every time I call them for a question or to cancel/reschedule appts. they put me on hold for about 45 minutes! They overbook appts. and at the end they have to cancel some of these appts. Not organized at all. I am stuck with them for now because I started my braces with them...I might even say f*** it! and not continue with them. If I wouldve known that they are slow I wouldve never went there in the first place. Even if you have an appt. you still have to wait for a long time to be called and wait longer to be treated. Trust me, you dont want to be seen at this place! I will never take my kids there again and would never recommend it to anyone.
The worst dental office ever!! Its unorganized, unsanitary, the service sucks, I waited 2 hours and thats with appointment! ! Crew need speak better English! !PLEASE SHUT THIS OFFICE DOWN!!!

I had the worst experiences with them overcharging my bank account TWICE! Once for over $600 the second after Id already paid the account off for over $100. Im still waiting 3 months later for a refund.

Super slow! Every time Ive been here it takes hr or more just for them to call you. Even when they do call you in to back you have to wait another half an hr to a hr before they start!
Terrible denistry. No matter what time you arrive, you will always have a long wait in the waiting room and in the chair. The dentists do sub-standard work and the cost is too high. They are only out to make money and do not care about customer satisfaction. I would never recommend Western to anyone.

Lady at the front desk was very rude . She called me by the wrong name on purpose so my name wont be called . She needs to be fired . I have been here for 3 hours and no one has called my name,,,,
