I did not actually make it in to the office but I was able to speak to the receptionist and I was completely put off by her customer service. She made me feel as if because I was a medi-cal insurance holder that she couldn’t do anything to help me neither did it seem like she really wanted to. Some people are in pain and are looking for relief when they call your office, it would be nice to be greeted by someone that actually wants to help you!

Last week I went for my regular check up. The office staff welcomed me great. My Doctor and her assistant Paco helped me with all the questions I had. And Monica the front receptionist helped me with my future appointment. All the staff is very friendly!

Went in for a crown as my usual dentist did not provide the service. While Ill admit I was a little skeptical pulling up to the office, the friendly & professional folks there did wonderful work. They were attentive to my needs & explained the procedure & what to expect. The work done to put on my temporary crown was as painless as could be, & done with much care & urgency. The technicians, doctors & administrative folks were all superb & I highly recommend Golden State Smiles for your 🦷 needs!

Beverley the receptionist is such a sweetheart. Francisco is very knowledgeable & gentle when taking x-rays. The dental hygienist, Jaclyn Dixon, is so kind & very thorough with her examinations & cleanings. I highly recommend making an appointment. You will be happy you did!

The staff here is always wonderful and pleasant to talk to. Very professional and friendly. I’ve been coming here almost 10 years now, I strayed once and tried Western Dental (never again!). I will continue to come here because I love the service.

The Golden State Smiles dental office was clean, quiet, and quaint.Easy to find onsite parking. Making appointment by phone and in-office checking in were so easy and smooth. Front desk staff and radio tech are very patient and thorough.Finally found a provider that takes new denti-cal adult patients after months of “sorry, we don’t take new patients” last-moment cancellations at other offices.

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. I have been coming here for over 5 years and feel very comfortable. They never push any unnecessary procedures on you.

Outstanding service, especially Jackie!

They are advertised under smilecalifornia as a provider that accepts Medical, however they do not accept Medical/Dentical for root canals and crowns. If you need these precedures, you should find the different provider, because at Golden State Smile they will ask you to pay out of pocket.

This was a nightmare. This place made me wait three months with a horrible infection to get a root canal and a crown which cost an arm and a leg. Their instruments and trays were dirty, I could still see stains on them! The office itself needs to be remodeled. Looks exactly like its out of the 90s. The person who actually did the root canal did not numb me throughly and I experienced the worst pain Ive ever had at a dentist. Nine months later I still have a hole in my tooth and a reoccurring infection

I havent been to a dentist since I move to the east bay from the city. Then I found this location and I have been happy with my experience. The doctor and all the staff have treated me very well. Isabel has been able to work around my busy schedule to set up my appointments. The doctor was very understanding of me not wanting to get shots and was very careful with the needle when giving me the shots. She has very gentle and steady hands.

I was not happy at all with this place, I brought my 2 year old son to get a referral form for an authorized Pediatrician (required by Delta Care) It was my 2nd visit and without my consent or knowledge. They charged me for a visit fee, I was in there less then 30 seconds talking to them . I specifically told them over the phone I only wanted to get a referral form only, just like the 1st visit. Note that the 1st time I went and did the exact same thing and got the exact 30 seconds talk, they did not charge me for the referral . The issue here is now my current pediatrician is not able to file a real claim. It is a very, very small amount, but its the principles of the matter at stake. They refuse to make amends and I spent countless hours talking to the claims dept way surpassing the amount of claim amount at hand, using my own lost of work time. Its like they do not care at all about customer service, they just want to take your money .

Never again went to hayward office for dentures pandemic hit office closed when reopened went back they sold office now I have no teeth and no dentures called san leandro office no help

I hate it here. Ive never had a teeth cleaning where I have been splashed so much! Had an extraction and needed a partial, the dentist shaved down the wrong part of the plastic leaving me with a huge gap and so much air to get through. When I explained to her again which part, I think she knew she messed up but it was too late. Will never go back here!!! Also when getting my molds made of my teeth, they put so much of that gel crapthat i felt like i couldnt breath! Alwaysask them to use less because apparently they think its fine to makeyou feellike youre suffocating whilegetting a mild taken...

This place is great! The staff and Doctor did a great job making me feel comfortable while I was in the chair. I love Doctor Munjpara she did an amazing job doing my fillings and explaining my treatment, she really made me feel like she truly cared about my teeth and making sure i felt comfortable with her. The hygienist Jaclyn has been by far the best hygienist Ive had so far. She is gentle while cleaning and i never experience much soreness when she does my cleaning. Overall my experience with this office was amazig Id recommend it to friends and family.

I cant say enough good things about Smile Care. Seriously - these people are FRIENDLY. Every time I walk in, they know my name, ask me how Ive been, ask how work is - its awesome. I love coming in to say hi to everybody, knowing I havent been forgotten in the sea of clientele.Theyre fast too. You can just tell during a check up that every oral specialist here has experience. Im usually in and out of my braces appointments within minutes. Not to mention the lead orthodontist seriously knows his stuff.Definitely recommend this place!

This place was a run down disgusting office complete rip off the dentist was a witch for lack of better terms. What a shame

Torture chairs! All 3 of my kids had horrible experiences. The hygienists were rough with them and not kid friendly at all.Took x-rays without telling me they werent covered. Then I was expected to pay for 3 sets of x-rays on my way out. I only went there because it was the only place that took our insurance.Inept dentists. I was told they are all right out of school and were there because they couldnt get jobs anywhere else. This is gossip, but I believe it.My daughter had an accident on the playground and lost her two front top teeth. She was bleeding profusely. I brought her in straight from school.They gave her numbing shots but didnt wait for them to take effect before trying to put stitches in her gum. My traumatized child was laying there screaming and they didnt try to calm her down.The dentist struggled to put the stitches in. Not because my daughter was screaming but because she couldnt get them tied. She was at it so long my daughter finally stopped screaming and just lay there gulping sobs.The dentist eventually went for help but no one was available. So she kept at it and amazingly got one stitch tied. By that time the bleeding had stopped and she decided one stitch was enough.We live about 5 minutes away and when I pulled into the driveway my daughter handed me something. The stitch that had just been put in her gum! She had been feeling it with her tongue and it came out.I called and they said she would be ok without stitches. Then why did they just torture my traumatized child for an hour!?!

I love the ethnically diverse environment and the staff, both office staff and dental care professionals. They did good work and explained everything thoroughly. The bad thing is that my dental plan through Kaiser Medicare Advantage does not cover very much of the cost. Considering the amount I pay for monthly premiums, it really costs about the same as it would if I did not even have dental plan.

I love this place! I had a root canal done and a crown on the same day. I was super scared but the staff made it comfortable to go thought the process. I would definatly recomend this office.

The firm provides services,(X-Rays) when not asked,they took me from the waiting room to x-ray, didnt say anything and started shooting X-rays and gave no warnings at all. firm up sells services when not medically necessary, (Oral Cancer screenings at $60.00 out of pocket, they sneek this in with all the paperwork that is passed out and you have to sign to decline, otherwise your billed for it), (Deep cleaning, as I regularly get my teeth cleaned and brush 2x day floss 1x day), (I refused the deep cleaning and said I wanted the regular cleaning and the dentist stated it is against their policy to do the regular cleaning since the hygienist stated i needed a deep cleaning, of course my insurance covers the regular cleaning, but that provides no out of pocket money for the firm) yet they state the deep cleaning is necessary,and want to include an antibiotic flush for each tooth, $100 each. the majority of these services are not covered by insurance, this is just the tip of the iceberg as far as complaints go, google Yelp and do a search on the firm and follow the trail of complaints spuewing out from all these disgruntled customers, some which have paid thousands of dollars for out of pocket costs.

The person who escorted me to the old looking exam room . Tried 2 up sale me. I asked many questions and she kept answering a question I didnt ask. So I told her since she couldnt answer the question about my copay charges I would just leave. What a rip off !

I was here for my treatment related to gums i m really frustrate seriously and information estimate everything was not correct as were told i thought its gona be better to do dental care in neighborhood but it was not good experience as dr gandhi was really good but the other staff and even manager couldnt provide and accurate info and she refused that it never happened but is all good its good to know will try to change my dental care thanks

Smilecare n san leandro was amazing cristine was the best she was courteous, friendly and extremely helpful she talked us through the orthodontic process, hepled us with our financial process and we were able to get pur braces the same day. Cristine absolutely amazing. Thanks cristine and smilecare for making our experience pleasant.
