This place just wreaks of motivation! The gym is stuffed with top shelf hard chargers, with the only goal of making you better. If you want to be pushed past your comfort zone and achieve that next level, this is your stop!

This place is great. If you need help with anything talk to Isiah. He is incredibly helpful and has a great personality. The trainers here are very nice always willing to give you some advice and very friendly. The facilities are wonderful. Best gym Ive gone to in a long time. I wish they change their tanning bulbs a little more often however its still a wonderful deal and it cannot be beat.
The real reason I gave this gym a five-star is because the awesome staff which they are on top of it. Friendly and welcoming staff is key in my book. It might not be the best gym, I’ve been to better gyms with towel service, clean and workable bathrooms, and more updated equipments but with terrible staff and for what they have is enough for my workout, plus for the price I pay is what I expect. I’ve been going to this gym almost five years, during and after college. I wish they still had the downtown gym which was more convenient for me but can’t complain about price and the welcoming staff members. Highly recommend this gym to friends and families.

We come here all the time and they’ve been really good to our clients. Very friendly, clean and the personal trainer offered me a free training. The Asian guy is very nice. I run an in inpatient rehab Positive Progression and this place and membership has been invaluable to our clients. They have been really nice and excepting! It’s a great value and a great place. I highly recommend it and don’t listen to the rest of the negative stuff go there yourself and try it.We’ve been here almost 4 years and we have had nothing but positive feedback from everyone. You have a place where you can get a massage for your back and it’s so relaxing!
I have been a member for a few years and was only going to the Meridian/Hamilton location. I had become accustomed to a run-down facility. Last weekend, they closed that location and i went to the Foxworthy location for the first time. I was very pleasantly surprised with the higher standards; cleaner facility, better equipment, and generally better atmosphere. I am very happy with this gym - I primarily use the weight machines, which are in good condition.
Spacious, good equipment, CLEAN, members re-rack their weights. Great training staff. HIIT classes. AND, memberships are inexpensive.
THIS FIT REPUBLIC KEPT CHARGING ME EVEN AFTER THEY TOLD ME MY MEMBERSHIP WAS CANCELLED. AVOID AT ALL COSTS. THEY WILL HAVE HIDDEN FEES AFTER YOU LEAVE. Would NOT refund me any of the fees when I confronted them later.

Just looking for a gym. I come and of course its closed. What bothers me is that no one at the company thought to adjust their times on google maps or even on their website
Its a decent gym, but where the severely lack is in communication and service. No one answers the phone, they dont notify members that they are reopening, and you cant even leave a message.

Most knowledgeable and down to earth trainers, I really enjoy their Fit Nation group training classes & the front desk is also very helpful. If youre new in the gym or really trying to improve, I recommend seeing Syler for a smart start and personal training.
Its clean for the most part, I also like this location because it doesnt get crowded. One thing that is annoying are the people that dont clean their machine when theyre done using it (I see it quite often) Im sure all gyms have this problem though.
I have been a member since this gyms first opening weekend, where there were a lot of promises made on classes, smoothie bars, and clean well kept equipment.Ive put up with a lot, and stayed with the gym this entire time even though the classes have been canceled, there is no smoothie bar and its filthy and most of the time the equipment doesnt work.The staff is super unfriendly and seems more involved in personal training only.I finally decided to cancel when without any notice at all, they turned the room for classes and free workout/stretching into a judo studio... canceled all classes there and member access.So no classes... no smoothie bar... no access to any cool equipment because its for personal training only.. dirty unkept bathrooms and equipment.. no thanks!Also they were supposed to be open 24 hours when I joined... and the hours have changed 3 times since then to shorter times and this is the same issue with the kids club. But, I am paying the same membership price. Makes no sense.I know a ton of people canceling, so if I were you I wouldnt waste the money here, there are a million gyms with similar or better pricing with all of the amenities they promise.
This is a pretty decent gym for the price. However they dont accept monthly charges on credit cards they push you to sign up with your bank account for monthly withdrawal and when you want to cancel your membership it is a hassle. They still charged me for 2 months from the date I cancelled, had to contact them 2x to stop the charges.
This is Ridiculous!!! Because Ill never seen a gym so AwesomE in my 30 years that I visit one. The Machines are top of the line. The equipment is awesome. The girls and environment are high quality. The massage machine is super for people who came tired after work. I mean. I was feel in the heaven on this gym. And the price. Is ridiculously affordable Ill give then 5 stars cause I cant give then 10 brother....
After paying the same price every year for 4 years the manager Queen Botox decided to increase my rate. Said they don’t offer that rate any more. I’m now at City sports. Her attitude is as ugly as she is.

The 1st St location was a good place to lift weights and within biking distance. They closed on 4/12/2019 and I am unable to go to any other Fit Republic location -- I found out they closed when I returned to the area on 4/17.I tried visiting their website to cancel but couldnt login and couldnt find a cancellation number. I then called a Fit Republic nearby and was given a number to call to cancel -- I tried calling the cancellation number three times but only went to voicemail.Following this, I went to the Meridian location to cancel my membership and receive a refund (my card was charged 4/16). The woman at the desk told me there wouldnt be a refund due to a 5-day cancellation clause (the clause was for five days after signing the contract to cancel the entire agreement without penalty -- this was not what I was trying to do). After digging in the contract more, I found a part of the contract that mentioned a refund for unused dues and stated I wouldve been eligible for this had I know they would be closing. She told me they emailed a notice out in March that the gym would be closing and I shouldve taken advantage of this notice, but when I checked my email they had on file (including my spam) I never received the email. I brought this to her attention and she was still unwilling to issue the refund for the 4/16 charge of ~$44, instead mentioning how much the other location wanted to raise their rent (which is one of the reasons they closed the 1st St location).Fit Republic couldve handled this sudden closing of the location in a better way.

Gym doesnt have any places to do deadlifts and needs more places to bench. What kinda gym doesnt have enough weights? Thats kinda the point. Also, gym was messy and weights not racked properly.
Ridiculous gym membership cancellation process. What a dumb management team they have. I cancelled my gym membership in June but they are still charging from my bank account. I met 3 different people (staff) physically, to cancel my membership. Can you believe that.? I dont have enough words to curse you guys. Pathetic...
All the staff are wonderful but especially the Evofit staff. Torey, Laura, & Selena have great classes and theyre really helpful. I definitely feel like its worth it to pay extra for Evofit to get the guidance and motivation the guys give. The gym facility is nice and the equipment is well taken care of and the premium price for the gym is super nice (I think I pay like $20 for premium. Other wise its $10 per month). I definitely recommend giving this place a try.
I love this location! The staff is excellent. They have some excellent fitness classes. The machines are on good condition and the gym is clean.
They were wonderful until they removed the classes and access to the mirrored dance/stretching room and turned it into a Judo classroom. So if youre looking for a place to use gym equipment and maybe a personal trainer then this is the place for you but if you are looking for a place to free stretch/workout or to take classes, you might want to check out somewhere else.

Clean gym, hydro massage and tanning included in membership. New equipment. The kids club is huge for me. My kids love it and I get my workout in.
You get what you pay for. This is a no frills work out facility. Lots of new machines, a few classes, good personal trainers. Bathrooms are always in need of cleaning up, no paper towels, often out of tp.
I ha e been coming to this gym for the last 5 months and I must say its great only due to the fact of the these front Desk employees Fabiola, Daniel, Joseph,unfortunately they only work the early morning . They are the only employees that say Hello with a genuine smile . They should be moved up to management with their great customer service . Over-all this gym is great and would recommend anyone to it.
I totally agreed with those, who posted 1 star reviews lately for this gym.This is a very nice new building in a pleasant location with adequate parking.I started to attend this gym, because another one on Hamilton Ave. just filthy overcrowded with bad class instructors. Yet, here everything in Zumba classes were pleasant until the warm weather came.The classrooms setup absolutely without A/C and management explanation for 100 % classes cancellation is preposterous! There were full classes EVERY day, but they must be penalized by city for unhealthy conditions.Bad solution and I am canceling my membership, because Hamilton Ave. location is not an alternative for normal people.
Worst Customer Service. Please dont go here, their policy are bad and they treat you with no respect. They start charging your credit card without telling you and with some added random fees. Stay away from them. When you try to cancel your membership, they continue to charge your credit card and make it extremely difficult. First they want you to come in person and see the manager, then they want you to send mail, even by certified mail. Come on what world are you guys living in. Still they keep charging my credit card, after doing all this. Very painful to deal with these guys. Save your money and go somewhere else.
I have been with the gym since launch day. I have two paid memberships and still a member. The low fee is currently holding me there because it is just a gym. It wont take much to be persuaded to leave. I no longer recommend as I did when new and the center had good energy.Why.....The Mederian Ave gym appearance was very welcoming when first opened. It was cleaned very well as it should be. It was brand new.Now for a brand new facility, the upkeep is not the same. There is difficulty at the upkeep of the facility.Restrooms are struggling to be cleaned. Sometimes stocked is an issue. The mirrors have a fog (dirt) from poor cleaning that has not been addressed for weeks; very noticeable because the reachable level was cleaned. This is male side and I have been informed similar for female side.Sinks are with dirt and dribble and stains on the counter. As if camping and I have seen cleaner camp restrooms. I watched a disposable razor stay on counter for two days.Equipment does not seem serviced as it should be. Weight decals identifying weight have been missing for a better part of a year on several pieces of equipment. Knobs missing to pull out and make adjustments on some equipment. Weight machine guides for the weights are dirty causing issues for the weight movement up and down. Free weights not managed or regrouped by staff. I watch members cleanup open floor having no longer seen staff do the job.Floors have shadowing from unattended spills that have evaporated, as do the machines and dust build up. A floor scrubber would do wonders on the surface as would the backpack vacuum they have.If you go to the gym in the morning at opening, expect to see it as it was left at closing. There is no evidence of end of shift cleanup or replacing equipment by the employed staff. Members are seen picking up and they pay to work out. Again, signs of a new gym that is aging quickly. Attentiveness is now greatly different.They do have Hammer Strength machines which I like and frequently use.Many gym options exist around us, so shop around if it is the price point for this gym that is your draw. After all, they are gyms and most often struggle with up keep.
The gym is large with lots of diverse machines. You can ask a staff if you are unsure how to use them.

First all the fitness classes closed, now they are closing their daycare which I pay extra for. No emails or notifications, I had to hear from other members. Its to clean and staff isnt very friendly. Sounds like the manager doesnt want many women to work out there after closing two important things for women. Sad sad sad!
I would give a negative star for this gym. I joined this gym when A friend brought me to try it out. They offered $1 to join same day and a discounted price of $39.99/month. So I joined, few months passed by and i was not able to go until such time they changed their name from fitness evolution to fit republic then I noticed I am getting charged for 49.99. I asked why as there were no notice that the price is changing and was told because my friend opted out, which she did not. Thats when I decided to give up my membership as I dont want businesses running because they take advantage of people. I went there countless times to tell them to stop charging me, called customer service multiple times but Did not receive any call back at all. Then, I saw they tried charging my checking account, then again tried charging my credit card account, this really made me frustrated, helpless and angry. I should have read the reviews first before having the mistake of signing up. please don’t allow this gym to scam you. fYi: we earn our money by working hard. I do hope they get investigated by consumer affairs.

Where do I even start?! Ive been a member since it became fitness evolution back in 2014 and started working for the company in January 2017. As a member, I knew the gym, management, corporate and ownership had things to work out, but once I started working for the company I really got to see things from a different point of view. Front desk associates have almost 0 control over most member issues we have to deal with because were the faces at the front. Corporate really does not do their end of the job once things get forwarded to them. I used to have a phone number for corporate when I first started, and shortly after that they disconnected that line because they were bombarded with phone calls and didnt want to deal with it. Ive sent refund requests for members to them for approval and they were either denied or had to wait longer than the typical 30 days. This company is a complete mess and I got tired of all the empty promises from the owner and corporate. Group X classes, the cardio theater and kids club were all services taken away from members and were supposed to later be replaced by an open ab and stretch area and an expanded, updated Fiit Nation studio. These were all plans told to us by corporate that we then passed on to members about new features coming soon. Those promises? Never fulfilled. New paint, updated studio, ab and stretch area were all part of the rebrand that happened in JANUARY 2018. None of that has been done or even worked on in the slightest bit. There was a point where we were so understaffed that I couldnt call out of my shift when I had food poisoning because there was no one to cover it. I was never allowed to use my 19+ hours of earned sick pay because the company is too cheap to pay an employee sick time while another employee covers that shift. I was tired of putting so much time and effort into a job that wasnt giving me anything back. I was tired of working at a place where I could expect to get yelled and cussed at by members over things I have no control over because corporate isnt handling their issue and never gets back to them. I got fed up with working a sales job that only gives you small commission on 2 of the 4 memberships we offer. I was tired of being at a company for 17 months and realizing I was never going to get a pay raise despite my best efforts of selling memberships and collecting payments. It doesnt matter how good your sales are here- youre not getting paid above minimum wage unless youre a manager or coach, regardless of the fact that youve been at this company longer than any of the people you work with. This company doesnt care about their members, and they care even less about their employees. Fit Republic only cares about getting your money and thats it. With the money this gym makes they could put in the resources, time and funding to better train and develop new employees, make necessary updates to the gym, equipment, etc. but they dont, and thats because they only care about the money going into their pockets.I devoted my time, energy, and money to this gym. Ive spent thousands of dollars in personal training at this company (and no, employees dont get a discount. I paid what members have to.) I am now STILL waiting on my final paycheck and the refund for my remaining training sessions that I was told I would get in the mail by Saturday. After an employee quits, their check is supposed to mailed to them in 48 hours, no more than 72 hours. I am waiting on hundreds of MY hard earned money for several days now. Corporate at this company can never do anything in a timely manner.UPDATE: Fit Republic sent my 2 checks to the WRONG address. I gave them the correct mailing address IN WRITING, it was on all of my employee paperwork, it was on every single paycheck Ive gotten from them for the past 17 months AND it was on my employee membership. They purposely got my address wrong to withhold my money as long as possible

This is the worst gym when it comes to management, and oversight. There have been numerous days when I have gotten to the gym early in the morning specifically on Saturday and Sunday and they say they are open at 7 and 45 minutes later there is no one there and the gym is still not open. My husband and I have reported this several times to no avail. Poor customer service and oversight. Meet your customers needs please, or we will go elsewhere. Quite hiring children to do an adults job.

If I could give this place less than one star I would. They had an evofit promo going on so I joined the program. I was supposed to get a complimentary session with an evofit instructor. They cancelled it two times in a week WITHOUT informing me. So when I went to the gym the first time, they said all instructors have a meeting in San Banos and will not return until evening and rescheduled it for two days after. I went again two days later, and again they said all managers and instructors are in a meeting and will return in the evening. Im not sure why they dont know their schedule in advance, and have no respect for a clients time.I wanted to cancel the membership at that time, but the person at the front desk said only a manager can do it. So I called the next day and was able to talk to the trainer. When I told her what happened, she said I should not cancel the membership, and she will definitely put me on her schedule for Saturday. On Saturday, just to make sure the session was not cancelled again, I called and was told that they have cancelled my membership 2 days ago, so I have no session. When I asked for a refund, the person answering the phone told me that they would not give one to me. Then I asked if I could still use the gym for a month since I have already paid for it. They said no. I asked for a refund again and heard the manager telling the person in a very disrespectful tone that they will reissue a refund in 30 days.In addition, the staff was totally unenthusiastic. It seemed as if they really didnt want to be there. The machines were ok, but unless you want someone elses sweat on you, you have to clean them yourself. Also, if you are new to the machines, no one is there to help you. I went and asked the front desk for help on a weight machine, and all 3 of them were on lunch break at same time. They told me they will come and help when they are done with lunch. But then, even after lunch break, none of them tried to help me. Only after, I called them again did they finally come to help me.Overall, the experience here was horrible. The utter lack of communication from company to client was disgusting. They had no respect for my time. I would definitely recommend staying as far away from this gym as possible.
