Dr Kim office has many dentists and specialists that makes your trip to dental office more convenient. No referral needed or going to another office. Before the pandemic, the office opened 7 days a week and open as late as 10pm which makes it convenient for working adults for making appointments. My family (my wife, 3 kids and I) have been going here since 2013. We love the services. I myself had root canal, implant done here and love the results.

I appreciate the fast service and appointments HOWEVER, be very careful when booking your appointments. Make sure they give you a break down of the cost and make sure your insurance will cover the services first! This place likes to do the procedure first, then send you a big fat bill.If you cancel your appointment you will have to give 24h notice or pay $200. But the catch is they dont tell you how much your procedure will cost until the day of the appointment.

I give these office 5 stars because it was a great place to go my treatment when at my appointment the front office staff was very friendly as soon as I walked in the door. Once I sat down my wait was not long at all I was called to the back office where a nice assistant took my x-rays. After that the doctor can in right away and she did my exam and cleaning as well as goes over the treatment that I need very well. She explains everything in detail about what I needed. Then they doctor walked me out to the front desk (not many office the doctor walks you out). The doctor as told the front what my next appointment will need to be and the lady in the front got me scheduled right away. Once that was done they sat down with me and went over my insurance cover was. I feel very comfortable with this office that I have stated bring my whole family and they loved it there.

I went here to get my tooth fixed. They went and did the deep cleaning and fillings done. I went back and forth 7x in 2 weeks and a tons of X-ray and nothing is fixed!!! Now, they are asking for a co-pay of $750 to get my root canal done. Scammers???? Dr. Kim greets people, has time for some general conversation, or conversation about the number of years that dentists and specialists have spent in school, or an explanation of the (new) technology they are using. Dr. Kim has a number of dentists on his staff, all are professional and very good at what they do. I think that all of this is a reflection of Dr. Kim being really smart and genuine. He cares about his patients. I started going to this dental office because they were open on the weekend, and continue to go for the professional service.

Because my family has been going to his business for so long, he personally takes issues into his own hands, and customer service is top notch. He personally greets you when hes around and makes sure youre getting the care that you need. The office itself is clean and has a huge fish tank that helps pass time if you come early. The dental assistants and doctors are great, some have been working in his business since I was a kid so theyve seen me grow up. Theyre very good on taking you in on time and the wait time isnt long. Scheduling is usually really convenient but they try to fit you in times of emergency. His receptionists can sometimes be unhelpful with and a nuisance when it comes to appointment reminders and calls but other than that Dr. Kim is the reason why we stay with his business.I recently needed to get my wisdom teeth out and my insurance kept denying the procedure. Dr. Kim personally took care of me with a great deal and hooked it up by taking all my wisdom teeth out before i started school. As long as Dr.Kim is there, I plan on keeping them as my dentist!Quality treatment, quality customer service, and excellent care.

I am really disappointed with this place. I used to go this place with my prior concerns but do not have the same experience lately. We were supposed to go for my wifes tooth extraction and I do not see the sense of responsibility from Dr. Kims team. There is a lack of communication between the people who work in this place. Overall I do not see a motive on their end to help the patient. Moreover always hankering after money. Really disappointed!!

I am certain the the positive reviews are false. This place is horrendous. It is filthy and is operating unlawfully. Their practices are egregious as they oversell and scam people. Thankfully my husband was smart and walked out after presented with a $8,000 cost estimate (from a very pushy provider and this person should have their license revoked). They tried to run his credit immediately to finance the cost. It happened quickly so he left. He then found another in-network provider who was confused by Western Dentals approach and charged him $80 for the deductible. Western Dental on Santa Clara Street is unethical, dangerous and predatory. It scams and cheats and takes advantage of people who may not understand the system, may or may not have insurance or speak the language. I am certain they will face a class action lawsuit or be sued individually for malpractice. PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

My family and I have been going to Dr. Kim for so many years now. My mother gets all her hundreds of surgeries done here and she is always satisfied with her results, as are my siblings and I! My sister and I, last year, were actually asked by Dr. Kim himself to be in his calender; by this, you can see that he is close and open towards his patients, which is always comforting. Ive been going to Dr. Jonathan Kims office since I was a child. The workers here are very helpful, kind, and understanding. My whole family has been going to this office for decades. They are kid friendly! They work so well with my son (age 13) and my nephew( Age5). They make them smile, laugh, and my biggest thing explain what they are going to do so the kids dont get surprised and start throwing a tantrum. They help you in anyway they can, from being comfortable to helping you make a plan on how to make payments. This office does take care credit. They are open late and on the weekends. Perfect place to go when you work crazy hours. One of the biggest reasons why I would never switch my dental office, this place is SUPER CLEAN!!!!

I had a very troubling experience. The office wasted my time for an hour to only tell me that the doctor that was going to see me went to lunch instead. Excuses were made that its a clinic and we see multiple people when there were only 4 people in the office. All us had earlier appointments and were not seen. Dr. Jonathan H. Kim DDS business is a scam. Their accounting practice is immoral, misleading and fraudulent. I have been going to this place since 1997 and always struggle small issues here and there. In 2015 I decided to get braces for my kids....Biggest Mistake. In the 3rd year of treatment, I was told that insurance declined to pay for braces. I asked why and response was we dont know. I called insurance company with Dr.Kims accountant on the phone. I did three way con call. I asked reason for claims denial...I was told by insurance company that Dr. Kims office should have taken authorization from the insurance company before starting the procedure or within 1st year (cannot remember which one but was 1 of these reasons). The insurance company told Dr. Kim that it is their fault and they need to write-off these expenses as claim is denied. After the call I called back Dr. Kims office and told them that this is their fault. I have paid my share and cannot just give $4000 out of my pocket because Dr.Kims office fail to get authorization. Well nothing happened for few months and then I start getting calls from Dr. Kim. They even stopped the treatment and to date, kids ending up not having complete treatment as they refused until I pay money. I had few discussions with their office and I was astounded with the response, that I need to pay because I gave them insurance information late on the 2nd insurance (I have 2 dental insurances) and that is why I am responsible to pay $4000. It was a pure lie. I challenged it and said I provided all the information 3 years ago...why are you raising this issue now. Again the situation end up that they stood on their lie and I stood on my truth. It was a, he said, she said, situation and that is no win-win situation. Finally I agreed to pay $2000 after meeting with Dr. Kim. though I was not at fault but I wanted my kids to complete their treatment. We shook hands and I paid $500 on that day and asked Dr. Kims office for the balance because I have NO trust on how accounting is done. I was told that I will get e-mail. About a month went by and no details. I went back and gave another $250 with agreement that I will get clarity on what is balance amount. Month went by again and I was not able to get any account clarity. I was getting frustrated and told Dr. Kims office that I am not going to pay balance of $1250 until I see statement with clarification on balance. Beside asking multiple times no luck getting any account balance. In last I was told that they are unable to provide me with bill clarity until I pay them full balance of $1250...to which I said...BIG FAT NO. Beside, Dr. Kims office at fault, they had audacity to report me to collection agency. I challenged the bill and disputed it to get more details on how Dr. Kims office come to this balance amount. It is been almost a month and I am waiting for bill breakdown. I think doctors like this should not operate as they are putting patients to risk. I am going to file complaint to medical board and also to BBB so they can stop harassing their patients and families. I know many patients that are unable to fight but I have resources, time and money to fight. Today I called again to close this issue with Dr. Kim but I was not able to get response back. I am going to fight this, not for me but for people who kneel because they are unable to fight incompetent business practices like Dr. Jonathan H. KimI will add more details as we progress on this open case. But for now please stay away from this treacherous place

Truly the worst dentist ever: Insane and unethical (also in violation of patient data regulations). I had an x-ray taken and it was determined that I needed a specialist, since I do not want any more radiation than necessary, I offered to pay for the x-ray and to have a print out or the copy of the file. The reception absolutely refused despite me showing them the regulations stated they can only charge a reasonable copy charge but must provide a copy if asked.Oh and also the owner is obsessed over ownership of a korean island and has weird posters all over the place.Avoid at all costs.

DENATL FRAUD - I received an email stating I owed $3300 for Dental Services I never received. Not only that they tried to bill my old dental insurance company without me knowing for once again dental work I never received or had done. They think their are slick but Im working with (The Dental Board of California) to shut this place down. What this dental practice does is Insurance Fraud!!! They knew I had a yearly balance but didnt use it and tried to secretly bill them for services never performed. They did the same insurance fraud again a previous time, which my dental insurance company was billed double the amount quoted to me, when I asked why they said thats just what we do. So they were going to charge me half the price if I payed out of pocket but since its a insurance company lets bill them double. (Insurance Fraud) P.S. you tried to scam the wrong person.

I have a bad phobia of the Dentist. From the minute I called at 8pm one night freaked out in a panic from a chipped molar. The Dental Assistant that answered the phone was just the sweetest and reassured me they could help and I had nothing to worry about, so we scheduled my appt for the next day.The minute I walked into the office, the atmosphere was so professional, welcoming and so warm. The staff is seriously thee best Ive ever had. From the greetings, to the check in and the rooming. My palms were so sweaty but the staff were all patient and so nice. Dr. Kims office is the most accessible dentists office I have ever been to. They are open late and 7 days a week. I broke a tooth in half 2 days before I was going on a cruise and they got me in and fixed me up that same night. Always friendly and helpful. Rarely have to wait after you arrive. What more can you ask for?

Ive been coming to Dr. Kims Dentistry since I was very young. I had just recently got two wisdom teeth removed here and I was a tad nervous because my tooth was not yet showing so they would have to preform a more surgical procedure to remove my tooth. Dr. Cook did a great job of calming me down and helping me understand the steps of the procedure. I did not go under the gas but I did not feel a thing as Dr. Cook cut through my gum and broke my tooth into pieces. A great dentist in my mind is a dentist that cares for the patients teeth, will keep them clean, will relieve the pain and and will work on preventitive care. Dr. Kims Dentistry has great dentist.

Clean and organized. Very helpful and friendly Doctors as well as the assistance. Very knowledgeable to every questions and concerns had.

Dr. Kims office is very good and friendly office. They are very prompt office and I was never dissatisfied with their service. I have had to have a few fillings and they consulted me for braces. I wouldnt change a thing

I speak with Elsie on a regular basis business related anyone that goes to this office she is always going to make sure your insurance details up to date she keeps things running smooth ... if i lived in the area Id go to this office because I know that Elsie is awesome ... and she tells me Dr Jonathan Kim is awesome ... I believe Elsie :)

Horrible experience with this place. Like a lot of people said, every time you go in there is someone different that helps you. They call nonstop to make appointments, and even if you dont want one they insist on making it for later in the year. What caused me the most frustration is that I went in for a visit back in June. I have dual insurance, so i wasnt really concerned if i had to pay out of pocket. I went in for a cleaning, how much could that possibly be? My insurance covered most of it and there was a balance of $88. My other insurance was going to pay this. What they did there, was bill my first insurance, they paid what they could, and then they billed my second insurance for the full amount of the treatment done, instead of the $88 dollars they should of billed them. So both of my insurances ended up paying the full amount covered for the treatment. When i called her, she was not clear at all, blamed the first insurance company, was rambling on and on about how this was not their fault, when clearly she is the one that sent out the paperwork in the first place. All they are after is to get your money. I had nothing wrong with my teeth, yet they said i needed new fillings to replace the old ones. When i sent my second insurance the charges they sent to my first insurance the guy explained to me they were charging twice as much for the procedures they did compared to most dentist in my area. I spend all day on the phone going back and forth trying to figure it all out. I wouldnt recommend them to anyone, they are just money hungry!

I have the usual anxieties about going to the dentist, but the staff at Dr. Kims always takes care of me. my most recent cleaning and cavity fills were comfortable and quick. This has been my dental office for many years and it will be for years to come.

Hi My Name is Michael Gutierrez, I been with Dr. Jonathan Kim for more than 35 years, Dr. Kim and his staff is simply the best!!! I moved to Stockton ca. and still travel 80+Miles to still complete my dental care. I have referred over 20 friends, co workers and family members to Dr. Kim and all give their approval for Dr. Kim and his Staff.

Went in to get my mouth checked since I was in pain and was charged 1,050 dollars. They took a whole bunch of xrays that I probably didnt need and took advantage of me since I didnt know much. They probably could have looked at my mouth and told me exactly what was wrong but decided to suck every penny out of me. They know I work retail and dont make much but still decided to drain my insurance. Highly dont recommend. No work was done other than a cleaning and xrays and got charged 1050.00. Went to a different dentist the following week and got fixed up for 300 but only got charged a 20 dollar copay. Insurance covered the rest

Excellent service and very kind staff

Worst dentist office ever. Threatening to report to the collection agency even though insurance company paid the invoice. The amount reported is 600% times more. They do not have consent from me to pay the amount and think I would be responsible. I do not recommend this fraud dentist.
