Having Alberto cutting my hair was actually relaxing. Ive had barbers before be rough on my hair because they were always in a rush. This time I didnt get any burns. Seeing the dog there was an unexpected pleasure.

They always change / cancel the appointments.I had booked a haircut appointment for Sep. 21 with Meagan. But she cancelled the appointment last moment because she accepted appointments of other customers.The similar thing happened with my previous appointment with another stylist at Bishops. Previously, they pushed my appointment and took another client in between.I would recommend them being professionals and having some work ethics. The customer service they provide is also not good.

I had a great experience. Everyone was friendly. The service was provided on time. Emily did an amazing job. I highly recommend the salon and her in particular!

Best hair salon in the area, hands down! Whatever youre looking for, the crew can do! They have a wide array of talents amongst their stylists and the atmosphere is fun, funky, and welcoming. Personally, as a woman with a new(er) switch to a short cut, I was super happy to find Angie who always does an awesome job. Angie is professional, very artistic, and pays attention to every detail. She is super skilled with her work and her high standards show. I highly recommend and wouldnt want to go anywhere else!

Made an appointment same day and had a great cut with Albert. He was jovial, knowledgable, precise, and adaptable. The shop was welcoming, and all the stylists were friendly and professional. Everyone was masked, and the shop was clean and orderly. Parking is extremely convenient, even downtown, since its right next to the San Pedro Square garage. They have a loyalty punch card, so you can get a free cut after 10 stamps... and you get 3 stamps on Thursdays. Ill definitely be back for my next cut.

I made an appointment time and when I show up, they tell me it will be 10-15 minutes. Sure, no problem. I understand that you can run late. However, I sat there waiting for 30 minutes and no word. What I don’t understand is allowing your customers to make appointments in which you cannot fulfill. Needless to say, I took my business elsewhere after waiting 30 minutes for a $40 haircut.

Music was a little loud so dont plan on having a conversation, but the haircut was great.

Very friendly and welcoming staff. Theyre more than happy to make accommodations for customers. Theres a lot of experience in the building and each staff member really builds a connect with their customer. LGBTQIA+ friendly and an all-gender bathroom.

If you got curly hair find a different spot...they’ll hack your curls with a scissors without touching actual clippers even once and spend 10 minutes touching up your mustache....10 minutes on a mustache tells you all you need to know. I’ll be bald for a minute....

I got my hair done with Frine and Im so happy I did. Frine was super friendly and really listened to what I wanted to do with my hair and made it happen. The salon is clean, the atmosphere is professional but relaxed and welcoming. I got a hot towel with my shampoo and it was sooo relaxing. Had a great conversation with my stylist and I was able to get my lively, bouncy hair back! I feel super rejuvenated and Ill definitely come here again!

I have never had worse haircut. Lol. Half of the head is twice shorter than the other one. See the scalp on one side? That is where I have cowlick. Stay away and find professionals.Oh yeah. I forgot. Looks like all the kitchen smells from fast food restaurants next to the salon are forwarded into the salon. Get ready to smell fast food and drink their free beer so you don’t see how bad at professionalism they are.

Farine did such a great job, definitely making sure that I was comfortable throughout the entire appointment! She also answered all my questions and guided me through the Color consultation as I wasn’t exactly sure what I wanted to do. Eggcited to come again for future hair cuts and hair dye appointments

After re-opening for the first time in months (and having to close back up...) I went for my first cut. They were very well prepared. Waited outside after I checked in. They sanitized between every customers. The stylists wore masks, face shields and goggles. Felt very safe! But most of all, I gave Audra free reign on my hair cut and she did an amazing job!I’m growing out my white hair and the dark color was bothering me. It’s almost all gone now thanks to Audra. She was professional, really outgoing, knows her hair! Will be going back to her and I will recommend you to anyone I know!Hopefully you get back to normal soon!

I went in as a walk-in & got a haircut from Albert. Had a pretty good experience, he definitely spent his time getting the fade perfect - a bit more communication would have been appreciated but it was still an awesome cut. Would definitely recommend this place & Albert.

Bishops has been my go to saloon ever since I had moved to one South Market apartments an year ago, I think I have gotten a hair cut by all the stylists at every visit. You cannot make reservations however you can book a time slot for that day only. Select a beer of your choice from the local brewing companies to relax you while you enjoy your hair cut. The shark decor tbh goes hand in hand with the buildings blue facade.My recent visit was so great, I felt like I had to leave a review.Stylist: Maria Lopez is awesome at what she does, shell constantly ask you for feedback to make sure the haircut goes exactly as planned!

Angie was so good. This is my first haircut since lockdown and let me tell you, she just made my day. The best!Totally recommend her. She knows what she’s doing and is so good at it.

I had my hair cut by Angie who did an amazing job. Another hair stylist I talked to while waiting for my cut was also extremely welcoming and helped direct me to Angie. Originally had hair down to my mid-back, but had to get the nape of my neck, back of head, and sides extremely short for medical reasons. Came in unsure of how to describe what I wanted since i’m not familiar with “male” hairstyle terminology, but Angie was able to help me figure out what looked good. Angie also made sure I was prepared and asked me if I was ready before they started the process. I loved the results and my boyfriend said that Angie did an excellent job on my hair. The salon also took necessary precautions for COVID-19 and I felt completely relaxed during my cut since I was still able to wear my mask throughout the entire process.

Angie cut my hair and it was a fantastic job. I asked for an undercut and it was done perfectly. Would definitely recommend coming here. Ask for Angie!

This barber shop is awesome. If you reserve your appointment online then there is zero wait time. The service is excellent and price is decent. They even offer free beer while you are waiting for your turn.I am especially thank full to Jess for the awesome hair cut she gave me. She was very patient with me and understood my needs. I must say it was one of the most satisfactory haircut I got in months.

Honestly paid $40 plus tip for a buzz cut. I asked for a little off the top and the person who cut my hair automatically took clippers to it and didn’t use scissors and my hair wasn’t short before the cut. Now I have to wait for the top to grow out before I can style it the way I like. Nice lady though.

I went in for a hair cut today and I was very impressed! Bishops is a great place to get a haircut. Im not very descriptive of what I need to have done with my hairstyle but, I do like it to keep it trimmed nice and healthy. They have a very upbeat atmosphere and friendly stylists. My last haircut though was by a stylist named Frine who did a spectacular job. I highly recommend them.

Meagan is the best that could happen to anyone whod like to have his hair cut and nice looking. She has this rare ability to see immediately whats need to be done to make you look good. She watches you, she asks just a couple of questions and here you go. In half an hour my hair was looking better than I ever expected. Also she is very fun and easygoing. I did my hair with her twice already and I definitely would come back.

Best haircut Ive had since moving to the Bay Area! Jess cut it as high in back as I like it, and it falls right even without blow drying. Any stylist can shape a mediocre cut with products and heat to look good when you walk out, but only a great one can shape the hair to behave on its own.

It is very conveniently located, the art and vibe of the place is top notch, the music is great, and they give you beer while you wait!Every cut Ive gotten has been great, better than most from other shops, and the hair stylists are always very friendly. They have my service for as long as I live in the area.

The Missus and I went in for some cuts by Meagan and I got a straight razor shave by Nancy. Exceptional experience. The cuts were timely and they look great. The straight razor shave was probably the best Ive had. I had a decent sized beard and she cut it all off with razors. Hot steam towels, face massage, the whole deal. It was excellent.5 out of 5 will go back.
