Came later than originally scheduled, but was notified promptly. Diagnosed the problem, and provided the parts in a day. Came the next day on time and installed the new part and fixed the washer. Using it now with no problems. Very good, excellent service!!!
Sears did the preventative maintenance on my washer, dryer, furnace and air conditioner. They were efficient and answered all my questions on health of each of these. Great service and worth the price
Appointment window of 1pm to 5pm (@ a rental home)-told the tech would call before he was to arrive. Appt was updated that morning to 2 appointments: 12:31p to 2:01p & 1:31p to 3:01p. NO SHOW; NO CALLs. I initiated a Chat. Given updated appt window of 3:10p to 4:00p. NO SHOW; NO CALL. I initiated another Chat. “Oh, sorry, your tech had a major repair and won’t be able to make it. We’ve cancelled the appt and the tech will call you to reschedule.” I drove home and 10 minutes later I get a call from the tenant - “The Sears Tech is here!” NO CALL from the tech. I have to drive back over to the rental (it’s now 4:45p). I used their service before when the unit was still under a Sears extended warranty I purchased. Same story - 4 hour window; invariably the tech showed at hour 3+ and NO CALL beforehand. I won’t ever use them again.
Excellent service from Tech William after another tech failed to show for appt the previous week.
Sears Home Services subcontracts their service to Cinch Home Services. Took them 4 months to order a Microwave which turned out to be wrong size and then they paid a check for $275 with 35% Restocking Fee for returned wrong sized ordered by them. I do NOT recommend them. Techs besides being Unprofessional are also Unreliable, Unfair, Uncaring and Lack of Professional Knowledge. Sears Home Services keep their reviews page not easily accessible to public. Possible reason could be that they want to hide the bad service incidents with subcontractors like Cinch. Additionally, they do not allow Reviews on Facebook page and post all good stuff thus not letting real customers disclose their horror stories.
This was a piss poor experience. Technician came out, stared at the machine. Discussed the error codes with me. Then told us the problem was the drain pump. The quote was for $575 which is EXTREMELY high for $35 part. He did not even open the machine to validate his findings but was 100% certain that was the issue. That is the cost to get a new machine. When I said the price was way to high, he tried very pushily to sell me on the Sears warranty that I could cancel after a few months. I said no and he tried again then attempted to guilt me into the warranty because it would beat the $575 price to fix. I paid the diagnostic fee of $109 and given the information that it was a drain pump, contacted other local repairmen to get a better understanding of the real cost to fix. Average was $220. That is 1/2 of what Sears quoted. So we had the pump fixed with another company. The pump was replaced in 20 minutes, but still didnt work. The new company had to perform ANOTHER diagnostic, which they actually took the machine apart for to validate the problem and found out it was not the drain pump at all. Now we have to pay again to have the actual problem fixed. We are now $109 diagnostic fee, $220 pump repair and another $220 in the whole. I AM EXTREMELY dissappointed in the technician that was sent on behalf of Sears and the customer service. I cannot find any contact email, and the chat service said they could not help. I want someone at Sears to be responsible For the additional $330 the inaccurate diagnosis has cost me. The technician seemed to only care to get in and out, and not actually help me in fixing my machine. He knew the sticker shock would send him away and he could collected the $109 for 10 minutes of just staring at the outside of my machine. I was hesitant to call Sears in the first place, and new I shouldve stuck with a local company that actually cares about people and doing a good job, not just collecting money.
The service technician on contract by Sears was excellent. Parts needed will take a while, but hell fix the problems. Contacting Sears initially to get an appointment was a nightmare and they failed scheduling the appointment. The company they contract with contacted me with the real date. Sears services are horrible. Problem is: I have a Services Contract for all my appliances with them!!! Wont renew it.
I have always gotten good service from Sears in the past. As they have started to run into financial troubles, they are hiring local firms to service their appliances. The firm that has the contract in San Jose, Appliance Tech Now, offers terrible customer service. I think they must get paid more for customers who deal directly with them than for Sears work. In October, I called for a maintenance check on my refrigerator and my dishwasher, both of which are under Sears Maintenance Contracts. Sears offered me an appointment the next week; however, as soon as that was made, Appliance Tech Now called me to say that their technician wouldnt be in my zip code until three weeks later. Ok, it was only a maintenance check; I could wait, but I worried what would happen if something actually needed repairing. Unfortunately, I found out shortly after that. My dishwasher stopped circulating water (it is less than 3 years old!) on December 17. Sears told me they could send someone out the following week on the 22nd. On the 21st, Appliance Tech Now called me to say that Sears had entered the code wrong on my ticket and that I had to call Sears to get it resolved. I couldnt do that at the regular Sears service center; I had to call a different service center. By that time, they were closed, and I had to call back the next day. The agent I talked to was very helpful and sympathetic. She said that Appliance Tech Now could have called them directly and resolved the issue without putting me in the middle. When I called Appliance Tech Now, they said they wouldnt be in my zip code for two more weeks. You go to their website and they say that they know how difficult it is when one of your appliances doesnt work and do everything they can to get it fixed right away. Apparently, that only holds true if they are getting full price on the repair from you, not from Sears. They did come out on January 4th or 5th but needed to order a part. Said they would call me when it came in and make an appointment. I called them a couple weeks later and asked they if they had the part yet. They told me it was due in the first week of February, but they made an appointment for February 16 hoping that the part would come in by then. On February 15, they called and told me that Sears could not ship the part until sometime in March and they had to cancel my appointment. They called me on February 23, and said that the part had come in and they could take care of the repair on the following day between noon and 3:00. That was a good time for me. Then the next day as I was preparing to go out, they called at 9 AM to say that the technician was in my neighborhood now and that the repair HAD TO BE NOW. I was only going to Costco, but during the pandemic I like to go early during senior shopping hours. The technician did come promptly and he seems to be knowledgeable and repaired the dishwasher. He said he couldnt take any parts away and left the box and old parts for me to dispose of. In looking at the box, I saw a UPS tracking number and decided to see exactly when they got the part. I was really upset with them when I saw that UPS had delivered the part to Appliance Tech Now on Saturday, February 13, three days before the appointment they cancelled because they said Sears would not ship it until March. If I had any choice, I would not do business with Sears, but I have maintenance contracts on my refrigerator and dishwasher, so I am trapped dealing with a repair subcontractor who does not care whether I get timely service.
Work was done well and technician was very friendly and competent. Prices were very high $226 for 20 minutes of very easy work. I treated it as a lesson in how to fix it my self next time. But beware, the pricing for their services and what they do was quite high.
The customer service is good. However, my fridge does not work after 2 attempts. I waited for a week before getting my appointment. First, the technician did not have the parts so he had to order it. I waited for 2 weeks to get to the next appointment. Second appointment the technician came to install the compressor... It does not work I have to wait for another 10 days for the next appointment. I have been living without the fridge for a month now. Will update when the technician comes the 3rd time on June 12!!!
Not a good experience at all. Bought a 2 year old Kenmore Elite fridge from Sears. Called them since my compressor went out. Waited over 1 month for the parts. Lots of confusion on parts and shipping. After lot of phone calls and sorting out the confusion for them myself, I finally got it fixed. Had to pay $500 for labor (parts were covered under warranty). Over a month without a refrigerator (family with kids).
I cant give this business lower marks. Sadly, Sears was our go-to appliance store and its repair warranty service was a pretty good deal for many years. However, since about 2017, when we needed a part replaced on our over-range microwave, its been awful. The ovens re-installation was very sloppy with wrong screws and TAPE used and a disconnected vent. A call back for a re-do ended up in a go-around of frustration with third-party repair shops unable to do the job and several cancellations on Sears part.
Nice to finally talk to a person that know his stuff. He let us know how to make the washer run properly. He deserves a big fat raise.
If there were negative stars, I would give them a negative 5! Read all the reviews, these guys dont show up to their appointment! They gave is a 4 hour window on Friday and NO ONE showed up. We took time off of work, missed our kids soccer game, arranged for pickup from school in order to be home and NO ONE showed up. We called and they started to make all sorts of excuses about misinformation and changing our appointment to Monday, etc. I would absolutely NOT RECOMMEND SEARS APPLIANCE REPAIR. Beware, HORRIBLE HORRIBLE HORRIBLE experience. DO NOT CALL these people!
Technician was not sure of the issue until I specifically pointed out the problem with the HIGH TEMP SENSOR Not the Control Board However he still charged me for diagnostic ($69 and $268 Labor) and labor for 2 screws, I think I got screwed on this one because he brought 3 different parts. Can I get a credit or discount. Same thing happened 1 yr ago when tech came and said I needed a new Air conditioner for $8k when I saw he made no tests only a visual check. I sent him away and another tech found it was a Fan for $56. Please train your techs on how to troubleshoot correctly
My water heater went out. I called at 3:30 pm in the afternoon and they were here by 5:00 pm. The technician was so informative and happily fixed it. I was extremely impressed. I have the warranty that includes 10 items in my house. Im so happy I do, knowing I will get service like this when needed. Thank you Sears. I appreciate your service.
My Sears Repairman performed a maintenance check on the central heat furnace; all was done efficiently and in timely fashion. He also noticed that the insulation is only about four inches thick, plus I can tell you it was installed around 1951; I was concerned about my health, as well as high energy bills. John gave me food for thought, as I thought all home projects were finally finished.I strongly recommend Sears for your home projects and appliance needs. They will install the insulation next Wednesday! Thank you Sears!
The service was great and if I ever need more repairs done, Joe is the one I will request.
Repairman knowledgeable and willing to go the extra mile. However, did not have the proper drive belt in stock on his truck and that made the repair only somewhat successful. The pulley replacement is good but now the riding mower doesnt move forward as it should due to lack of drive belt.
The reason for one star (1/2 star would be my choice) was the fact that we had to wait over a month for service. This has no reflection on the person who FINALLY came and fixed the refrigerator. Waiting a month is NOT acceptable.
Repairmen were very courteous and knowledgeable about my refrigerator. They pinpointed the problem but had to order the parts and return again. Also, they called in advance so that I could go to work and meet them at my home when they were on their way. This is definitely a great customer service feature.
After a couple of years, our Kenmore Dishwasher would not work. Fortunately, it was under extended warranty. We called Sears, who, scheduled a Technician to come to our home to repair it. It turned out that the computer was not working, so, the Tech ordered a new one. It took about a week for it to be delivered. The Tech returned, replaced the part, and, the dishwasher now works great! No hassle from Sears. The Tech was very professional and friendly. Thank your very much Sears!
The service I received for my dishwasher was prompt, professional, and I trust that the repairs that were made were reliably performed. Mike, the repair technician who responded to my home, was friendly, quick, and honest. Though he did make me aware of service packages and warranties that were available for my dishwasher and other home appliances, I wasnt pressured with a hard sell at any time.
Prior to the technicians visit, there were timely reminders from Sears about the scheduled appointment...email as well as landline. The technician came on time. Indeed he was an expert on washers. He replaced the water pump in a timely manner. Tested the system and was done in less than an hour. Fantastic job...Thank You.
Are you pulling my leg? Do you really want to know how I liked your service? The technician told me to let the water run until it is really hot before starting the dishwasher. What a waste of water and money and my dishwasher is NOT repaired and still quits half way through the washing cycle. By the way, this dishwasher was bought some 6 years ago and since then we must have had at least 15 technicians here for repairs, starting right after the purchase!!! One technician came 3 times to fix different problems the dishwasher had and at that point I offered him our guest room!!!
Problem with Water Heater: Unit started humming loud for 15 secounds every time the unit called for heat. This is 3 years after installationFirst I want to say the technician Sergio was great. He knew exactly what the problem was and made all repairs quickly and professionally. I paid for no parts as he also replace the burner. I paid a diagnostic fee and a labor fee to fix the design flaw and replace the failing burner (at 3 years old).My issue is with the design of the unit:The burner for the unit has a support bracket that is installed by the manufacturer to prevent the burner from being damaged during shipment. It is not accessible to the installer and no directions are given to modifying the bracket to prevent the humming. Great idea to prevent damage during shipment.!My rating is for the repairman and the home service scheduling department! They all did a great job setting up the repair and making the repair.I only give the manufacturer a ONE STAR RATING for not fixing their design flaw on their dime not mine.RichardSan Jose, CA
Simple, routine annual service on Sears hot water heater. Booking via telephone was efficient, confirmation of service window via email, and technician arrival time and location tracking via web all worked very well. No surprises, service executed quickly.Very satisfied customer.
Technician great, Sears, not so muchSadly, this is Freds 3rd visit to our house. Fred is a gem. But he did not have the part needed, even though it is a sensor that commonly fails. Also, sometimes there is up to 2 week wait time to fix the machine. The warranty is well worth it because it costs $250 per visit just to diagnose! However, he had to order a part, and then it was going to be ANOTHER 10 DAYS (?!) until he could come back? When the part arrived 2 days later, I called Sears to schedule the appt for 5 days sooner.Be prepared to have long wait times and be without your machine for long periods of time while you wait for parts and service. We did not have a working machine for 10 days and luckily have nice friends who let us do laundry at their place.
I had Sears home repair services done recently for my Samsung washer. The technician who came to my home was excellent! He came on time and was very persistent in getting the problem solved with my washer. I was very impressed with his willingness to keep at it until it was resolved.I dont have his name but I do have his tech ID # As a result of his service on my washer I will recommend Sears products and warranty every time!
It took a rescheduling and delay to get Sears out to fix my seemingly simple problem, but once they arrived, it became clear that the problem was not simple. My guy went above and beyond to fix it by going out to find the part, and actually replace it and its corresponding part on the other side. I actually got a better version, and am very happy. It would have been so much easier to order the part and have to wait another two weeks, making it more than a month for a final repair, but he went out of his way to fix it and help me get the dishwasher running. I am very glad to have Sears warranty repairs.
Horrible support, just look at all the one stars on YELP, same experience. I had to recall the technician back to fix the issue, he lied to us on the work he did and I caught him in the lie... then he tried to change the subject. This is the second time I have gotten service from you guys and both times it was 1 star. both times the guy called in sick, both times the guys was super late. No wonder SEARS is failing. Never again!!! And I will make sure to steer people away from you guys... remember word of mouth can make you or break you. And you guys SUCK. I cant emphasize that enough.JoeP.S. all these 5 star reviews here are probably fake. go look at YELP big difference.
Long wait for appointment for refrigerator repair, full week for emergency appointment, then parts ordered with repair appointment 3weeks later. Repair did not fix problem. A week later, another emergency appointment and still not fixed. Next appointment not for another 3 weeks. Techs are great, but phone system and wait for appointment is outrageous.
The repair technician was very helpful, nice and completed the work to my satisfaction. My issue is with the Sears business and not the tech.I called the number given to me by Sears to schedule my service 3 times and waited on hold for over 20 minutes each time before hanging up. The last time, I stayed on because I had to get it scheduled. They need to look at how they staff the scheduling desk. I would expect a more professional operation than it appears from the customer perspective
Terrible service and terrible personals. Stay away from these guys...
The appointment window of 4 hrs. did not produce anything - even a phone call or an email indicating that the technician was going to be late or not coming. After wasting 4 hrs. of time, I called Sears twice and vented my frustration. Then after a further wait of almost 2 hrs., the technician showed up with all kinds of excuses. The appointment was for a routine check up to make sure everything was working as a part of my 5 yr. Home Service warranty. The technician spent less than 30 minutes and declared everything was fine. The same thing happened when I had called to check out Kenmore Fridge a couple of weeks back. The time window, the delay in coming, calling Sears service Dept. to complain, etc. was identical to this appointment. If Sears cannot make the time window given to a customer, then Sears should either give a time window which its technicians can provide the service or hire more technicians to do the servicing.
Great techs keep them on the payroll. Thanks for the great job!
Robert is a very knowledgeable, professional, and friendly repair person. He diagnosed the problem with our dishwasher very quickly, ordered the required parts, and fixed the problem effectively. We are super happy with the service he provided, and recommend him highly.
This rating is for the entire service we received to replace our Kenmore stove broiler. First of all we were scheduled for the 1st week in January. The serviceman sent was for the wrong repair job and asked me to make a new appointment. I did and when the new serviceman arrived, he did not have the necessary part to replace my stove broiler. He ordered the part and told us that we had to wait for the part to be delivered to our home before it could be installed. When the part arrived on Feb. 1st, I called and asked for the installation. I was told that I had to wait a week and/or we could call every day in case of a cancellation. The scheduled installation day arrived. The serviceman was to arrive between 1-5 PM. He called at 5:30 PM saying he was running late. He arrived at 6:30. He did quickly install the replacement and was out the door at 7:30 PM. My wife was furious. This why my rating is DISLIKED IT.
Worst experience ever! Sears warranty service is a sham! Tried to get warranty service on my microwave and received zero cooperation! After four months and five service visits they wouldnt even consider a replacement. The technicians from the service company were great. At the end even they said it couldnt be fixed. So, after four months, and five visits (SEARS spent over $2000 on my $250 unit)...still no microwave. I have now contacted a consumer advocate on Channel 7. Hopefully they can help!No wonder the SEARS company is in such trouble. I will ALWAYS shop SEARS competitors first from now on!
Repair person came in allotted time, quick to diagnose, had the part on his truck, repaired and back in business to do 8 loads of laundry. I love these guys. (guys being gender neutral i hope.)
When I called to report a problem with my dishwasher, I wanted a weekend appointment, but there were none available. I was also unhappy that I had to schedule a 4 hour window. I had to stay home from work and it was a good thing I scheduled the whole day, because the repairman didnt arrive until 3:30-4:00. I understand stuff happens and the repair man was pleasant when he finally did arrive, but not a very good experience overall
Sears Appliance repair does a great job. Technicians and repairs customer service are friendly and helpful. The only problem that is when you set the date for repair, its usually a week to 2 weeks out. It can be a real problem when its a washer. Hoping they can improve that issue.
The top rack of my Maytag dishwasher wasnt cleaning. Apparently, there was a clog unreachable by me. The service man came promptly on time. He was polite and showed me what was wrong. The repair was quick and painless and when offered a warranty on the dishwasher and two other appliances, I jumped at the offer since wed been having trouble on and off with some of our appliances.Sears has an excellent repair service. I highly recommend Sears..
Our repairman Roni was fantastic. He really wanted to take care of the issues. He spent time explaining what the problem was and how to repair.Very happy with his professional service.....
If I could put less than 1 star I would. We waited almost 5 weeks for the fridge to be fixed & literaly lived out of a 3ft fridge all of that time. No one was sympathetic about the situation or even tried to hurry the process up. We were passed from one person to another & no one knew what was going on. Every person you spoke to told you something.different. We had to buy a mini fridge they say they will reimburse you for do not fall for it. This was suppose to happen before Easter we are into June & still no check. We has a similar issue with a dishwasher this last year 3 months no.dishwasher come to.find out the technician never ordered any parts. So my advice to you is buy your appliances somewhere else because their warranty police is the worst. The hassle is not worth it.
Water softener inspection and cleaning - the service guy charged extra $100 on top of the standard $99. He charged twice and in the $100 charge he mentioned washer service which he never did, nor was asked for. It was A&E service used by Sears. Stay away from them.
Great service. Tech was courteous, knowledgeable and did a fantastic job.
Angel and Ray were both respectful and experienced technicians. What we hated was that we had to wait ONE MONTH for the first repair visit (on a
Repairman was very helpful and efficient. He figured out the problem, got needed part from his truck, returned and did the repair. He also shared some helpful tips. Excellent service.Thank you,Larry Flammer
We have used Sears Appliance Repair twice, once 5 years ago, once last week. Both times extremely pleased with service, two different repairmen and both were great. On time, friendly, knowledgeable - couldnt be happier.
The men who worked on my unit are well-trained professionals. They know how to deal with a customers concerns. Special care was taken not to damage floors or cabinets..etc. Very pleased with their help.I was impressed with their professionalism, helpfulness, and friendliness. This was the second trip to repair this device. Apparently, the second time was only a loose connection. The Sears one-year service warranty protected me from additional expense for their second trip. This appliance was purchased from Sears 13 months ago, so we were unhappy that the new-purchase one-year guarantee had already expired just two or three weeks later.
Tony arrive on time. Checked the washing machine. He removed the old part n put in new part. He ran a quick load to test. It works great!!!
I believe the service mans name that came to my house is Fred. He was very methodical and clean. He not only fixed our dryer but clean and vacuumed it as he took it apart. He was on time and did a great job.
Repair was finally completed after 4 technician visits. Was very disappointed with how the team handled an escalation after their screw-up. Long story short they tried to fix the dishwasher on first visit, shoved it back into the very tight fitting cabinet, returned to finish repair and would not work on dishwasher until I had removed it from the cabinet. It isnt a simple removal and they were the ones that put it in that place, be accountable for your own actions is all I ask.Dishwasher now has another issue where it emits an incredibly annoying sound, I do not believe it is associated with this repair.
We purchased a refrigerator from sears about 6 months ago. A Kenmoor Model #106.51133 233. We had problems from the start (there were periods where both sides froze despite changing the temperature to fix it) and we had the refrigerator replaced. Second fridge had the same problem start recently and so we scheduled a visit for them to check it out. We set on a date, tech never came. I called and they said they were going to call me back after looking into it. I called again and still no appointment set.I do not recommend that model of Kenmoor nor do I recommend sears appliances! I understand that they did not create the refrigerator but they are said to have a great tech service repair system. They are quick to sell but do not fix any problems that arise. Completely regret our purchase with them!!!
Main issue was dishwasher was leaking water to the floor and damaged hardwotod floor. It was repaired about two weeks back, and seemed to have stopped leaking. However, after last service (to replace a non-working rotating part), it is leaking again and so dishwater is out of service again. Need to schedule service immediately to stop leaking and make it operational again.
The technician was quite knowledgeable and was quick and efficient.
For starters, my wife and I are completely satisfied with the quality of the repair on our leaky clothes washer. The diagnostic work (first visit) and repair work (second visit) were excellent. There are only two things that I was disappointed in. First is a matter of scheduling: the outer tub on the washer had to be replaced and the new part took some weeks to arrive. Once the part arrived, we had to wait two more weeks for the repair technician. The other thing is the lack of information transferred to the technician who installed the parts, who was not the same person who had diagnosed the problem and ordered the parts. The second technician asked me about things that had been diagnosed by the first technician, such as where the leak actually was, or if it was truly a leak and not just overflow. Once the technician replaced the parts nothing leaked and the washer operated perfectly.
WORST customer service I have ever experienced! People were rude to me on the phone, would not help me in any way and I was hung on by a supervisor. I had to change my entire schedule to accommodate them even though they screwed up our appointment. They get negative stars across the board(I only put one because thats one only was I was able to post my review)and I would never recommend using their service.
Technician did not find leak in the water heater.I had to find it myself after the appointment /visit few days later. Now need to make another to point it out/get it fixed.
My experience with the agent on the phone was very negative. He insisted I was doing everything wrong and that I should be able to fix the problem on my own. I made a service aptt. anyway..I am glad I did as the serviceman,Mike, was a good person. He looked over everything and told me what needed to be done to get the dishwasher to wash the dishes clean. Will follow his instructions and see if indeed that is true.
It took a week for a service technician to come out to my business and look at my broken washing machine, which was covered on an extended warranty with Sears. I was very specific when I called in for service. I told them I had a stackable washer and dryer, and water was pouring out of the bottom of the washing machine. After waiting a week, Sears scheduled only one technician to come out and look at my broken washer, but he couldnt physically remove the dryer off of the washer by himself, so I had to wait ANOTHER week for Sears to send a technician with a helper. When they both finally came back, the tech discovered a broken hose, and it took ANOTHER TWO WEEKS to receive the part because the UPS driver kept arriving when my business was closed. Sears never gave me the option to have the part delivered to our local UPS store so I could pick it up, until AFTER the 2nd missed delivery attempt. In the meantime, Sears booked two technicians to come back to replace the hose, WITHOUT TELLING ME! I hadnt even received the replacement part yet! The technician had the audacity to tell me that since I missed the follow-up appointment, and it would have been their 3rd attempt at fixing my washer (because of their stupidity), theyre putting my service request at the bottom of the cue! UNBELIEVABLE! Sears service has really gone down hill! I would NOT recommend using Sears Appliance Repair or getting their extended warranty.
Not so good. This last experience has me questioning the quality of Sears and the type of company I would give business to. Not only did their technician miss his appointment he failed to call in advance to let us know when hed be there. We were give a 4 hour window which he missed. When I called to find out what was going on I was told we left you a message. They did in fact leave me a message while I was on the phone with them 15 minutes after the 4 hour window stating that since I was unavailable Id need to reschedule. When I called back I was told I was the one that called and wanted to reschedule. Just a flat out lie. Unbelievable!!! Never had a worse experience trying to just get maintenance on my HVAC. Very disappointed.
I rate the Repair experience five stars. The washer and dryer work good, and the information on how to operate the washer and dryer was made clear.Thank You.
We had a minor problem with our new Sears range. The technician was on time, professional, capable and worked neatly. In addition, he was smiling and friendly. I give him 5 stars.Pauline Chand
Repair ma was fine but he appears to have left a small tool here. Please let him know where it is.
On May 10, I called the Sears Appliance Repair store to make an appointment to repair a dishwasher. They said the soonest appointment I could get was two weeks away (May 24) between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Having few options, I confirmed the May 24 appointment. On the day of the appointment, at 5:00 PM, they still had not arrived. I called their number, and they said the repairman was on his way and would arrive by 5:30 PM. By 6:30 PM, the repairman still had neither arrived nor called. I called their appointment line again (which they informed me was located in the Philippines), only to be told that “the repairman was not coming” today and the next earliest appointment I could get was June 6th. I arranged for the June 6 appointment, but I will call another repair shop instead. Although a “one star” is the lowest I can give them, they deserve “no stars” at all!
Great service. Came on time. Worked hard to solve problem. Reasonable fee for services.
The repairman that came to fix our dryer was very courteous and kind and did an excellent job on the repairs. We will definitely contact Sears again in the future when we need assistance with one of our other appliances!
Very bad service, the guy came out to replace the compressor, and the refrigerator still does not work. I waited for 24 hours later and I had to call the next day, Sears schedule for 2 weeks later, each time schedule is 2 or 3 weeks later, Sears service is so bad, and I bought this brand new Kenmore Elite refrigerator not even 4 years ago. I wont buy from Sears anymore, and the way Sears handled the repair is so bad, its a shame.
Very good service and friendly. thank you !!
My repair was completed on 8/24/16. Today, December 19th, 2016 my oven decided to quit working! I am currently on the phone with Sears and I have a terrible feeling that I will be charged for another repair because it just passed 90 days :(. Merry Christmas to us.
Mike was thorough, cordial, knowledgeable, and efficient. It was a pleasure having him in to give our appliances an annual checkup.
The repairman arrived on time and fixed the washer within the hour. Even was able to schedule the appointment for the morning following my phone call.....important to get the washer up and running quickly.
There was a glitch in the scheduling of my visit, but when the tech arrived the work was completed quickly and professionally.
Worst service everI had to wait nearly 2 weeks for technician to come. When he said it was repaired I asked him to run the cycle and he told me he did not have time but it all checked out. When he walked out the door, I immediately ran a cycle and indeed it failed. The dishwasher did not work at all. I called the call center and after several transfers was put back in the cue for another technician even though this one just left my house without doing an adequate job. So now we are waiting another 10 days for the next technician to come. I will make him run the entire cycle but it is unclear if he will fix it.It is clear that Sears or A and E are quite happy to take your money for the insurance but do not have adequate technicians to either know what they are doing or repair your appliance in an reasonable time period- waiting 2 weeks is not appropriate.I would discourage anyone from purchasing this repair product.
The last repair man which was on the 30 dec was awesome. He knew what was wrong immediately. Not like the guy before who never even pulled out the refrigerator from wall. Ordered a part and was not the right one. The problem was a relay switch he ordered some wire. And I was told that all repair men carry the switches in their vehicles. I had to wait 2 weeks for service so I list all my food on my refrigerator freezer.Repairman on the 30 th was awesome in and out and it was fixed
On the whole, very happy with the service. The 2nd visit (one was diagnosis and the 2nd was the repair after the part arrived) was a little outside their visit window and it kept moving which was frustrating. However, they were efficient and professional and the job was done well.
This gentleman that repaired my washer was exceptional, very efficient and very clean, I would request him every time if I could
Excellent service. Repair technician diagnosed problem and ordered correct part for us. Additionally he ordered an upgrade for our ice dispenser that has caused problems in the past.
Good work, came on time, more or less. Fixed the problem, was polite, made suggestions for further repairs. Good guy.
Terrible! Wont let me give negative stars. Technician comes out to replace a gasket on a working dryer. Blows the control panel, then Im told it will take 3 weeks to get someone out to replace the control panel. How can it be that they dont have enough technicians to get someone out sooner? Im very inconvenienced here and they do not seem to care about that. AND, by the way, I had to pay for the service technician to break my dryer in the first place! Never again Sears! No wonder you are struggling.
Long repair window (1pm-5pm) and had long wait to get appointment (> 1week). Promptly go to the problem and fixed it. Took off shoes before entering house. Was annoyed that he filled a container with crude from my sink and then left container there when he was there. Otherwise he cleaned up well.
Called for an appointment to fix the loose handle on my newly installed micro oven combo. Instead of a serviceman, Sears sent a technician to do a check up on the oven - 2 weeks old! I was so mad - having lots of company and using the microwave, I was very nervous the handle would fall off. Needless to say, I had to call again, wait on hold, talk to 3 people, then finally schedule an appointment 8 days out. Not happy with the service for repairs - but I do love my product.
VERY NICE REPAIR PERSON, THOUGHT HE DID A GOOD JOB
Service person was on time and effectively got the job done in a timely fashion!
The technician was not very knowledgeable or was not willing to go a step beyond The only thing that was wrong was the circuit was off. All he had to do was to switch it on to get the dryer on. He checked the the panel but did not turn the switch on saying he does not do that work. A technician should be able to do this as diagnostics.
After two visits from Sears Repair team, my washer still has a leak after a first wash.. The problem was not solved. I did call and had a follow up/inspection appt., not until Jan 02. Hope it will be identified and fix it this time.Rating: ????Happy Holidays.
Service technicians very knowledgeable. Job well done...
Excellent. Sears service tech was awesome. On time, polite, knowledgeable, cleaned up any mess - perfect!!!!
All calls are answered by a person in Manila Philippines and the first available appointment is in 15 days to diagnose the noise my frig is making!!!!So disappointing!!
The repair person arrived here on time, completed the work that was needed to be done and left. The tech was very courteous and knowledgeable and didnt waste any time..........wish you had more like him!!!
I am only giving this one star because that is the lowest option available. I would give them a negative rating if I could.I have a 5 year service agreement with Sears on a Samsung front load washer that was purchased 2 1/2 years ago. On June 22 I put a delicate load of clothes in to wash on the delicate cycle with cold water. While working around the house I realized it had been running a long time and went to check on it. The machine had flipped itself to self clean cycle and was washing my delicate clothes in HOT water. I shut it down, tried to set it back to delicate cycle and it would not reset. I called Sears repair and after turning off the breaker, at their directions, to reset the computer the machine still did not operate correctly. I was told the soonest a repair person could come out was July 12. THAT IS JUST NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! After talking to just about every supervisor at Sears repair and the department manager where I purchased the machine and being lied to so many times I could not keep track July 12th arrived and so did a Sears service repair person. He cleaned the filter and told me that was the problem and my machine was fine. I questioned him about this but he assured me there was absolutely not problem and left. After he left I put a load of clothes in on the delicate cycle again. The machine filled and did nothing more. I called Sears and they suggested I remove the clothes that were in the washer and try a different cycle to see if it was just the delicate cycle. So, I attempted to do this and found the machine door was LOCKED and I could not get the clothes out. So, I called again telling Sears I needed to have someone out the next day (I knew the repairman was to be in the area because I heard him tell someone that on the phone while he was at my home). They informed me it would AUG 3 before they could get someone out again. I told them I had approx. $700 of clothes in the machine with the door locked and by AUG 3 the clothes and the machine would both be moldy and rotted. They didnt seem to care about that. I advised them they would be assuming liability for all possible health problems relating to mold for myself, my grandson, daughter and son-in-law who live in the house and they didnt care about that either. My daughter and I both spent an entire day on the phone trying to get service for the machine without any help from Sears. My daughter finally contacted 7 on your side in San Francisco and by some miracle Sears decided they could have a repair person at my home the next afternoon. The person who came out on July 14 was very good and between himself and a person he contacted that he advised me was an expert technician they found that the computer on the washer needed to be reset to factory settings. This repair man was nice enough to stay while we ran the washer through both a speed wash cycle and a delicate cycle to make certain everything was working properly. So, I now have a washer that is working fine. However, a customer should not have to go through all that we had to do to get service under a prepaid service agreement. If Sears is wanting to honestly look at why their company is failing they dont have to look very far. Customer service is what customers are looking for when they go into a brick and mortar store and Sears just isnt providing that to their customers.
Bernard was very friendly and was able to find the leak and fix it. Could not diagnose the stalling issue but requested me note down the error code when it occurs next and call for repairs.
Both repairmen were very professional, polite and efficient. Im glad I use this service.
Everything was outstanding service was great kleep up the great work.
The service technicians were extremely profession and completed the job faster than I expected. They knew immediately the problem and had the part in there van.
Alex & Zoc were very professional. Job done in less than 1.5 hours. Alex explained all the items replaced an why.
The repairman who was dispatched to our house was evidently having a bad day. So he concocted a lame excuse about why he couldnt fix our fridge ice maker/water dispenser and left in a huff. This was our third service call for this problem and we finally had all the replacement parts ready for installation. We have scheduled a fourth service call and specifically requested the third repairman who seemed to know what he was doing.
The first repair service I got fixed the original problem. However, a different problem occured after the repair. Im not sure if they are related or its a separate issue. When I called the 2nd time for the repair service, the schedule for the repair was 2 weeks out. I was not happy with the schedule and escalated the scheduling issue to the supervisor. Finally, they were able to schedule the repair in a couple of days. The 2nd repair service was done very well. The technician was very friendly. He thoroughly checked all circuit connections after he fixed the problem. He put all wires in very carefully to make sure no wire was jammed in any way. I was extremely happy with the 2nd technician who performed the service.
