I dont even know where to begin this review because it really did blow my mind. Adam our driver and tour guide was amazing. He was very personable and friendly. We laughed so much during our time. He is also very knowledgeable about the locations we went to giving very interesting and detailed facts. He suggested so many tips to make the experience even more memorable such as which spots to check out for the best views and even took a few photos for us. He also showed us new features on our phone so that we could take just the right photos. Visiting the Muir woods he advised us of what paths to take and even took photos of us with the trees to get the full scope of not only the circumference but the sheer height of the trees as well. Since were were running low on time he also suggested a a cafe in Sausalito that we got seated right away and the food was delicious. So much so that I tried to see if they had a location near me when I got back home. Since we drove into San Francisco we would have to drive back home. This time we wanted to take the more scenic route and while we would have just plugged in the directions into the GPS Adam gave us specific cities to visit. This was by far one of the best experiences that Ive had. I will definitely do another tour and request Adam!

LOOK NO FURTHER! THEY WILL EXCEED YOUR EXPECTATIONSOur Napa, Alcatraz, Russian River Valley and Yosemite experience with Golden Horizon.Napa Valley has been on our bucket-list for a while, we finally made it to Napa, and we stayed at Solage resort located in northern Napa Valley. The hotel is very elegant and located in a peaceful location near Calistoga. As for sightseeing, we booked multiple private wine tours with Golden Horizon Travel. Our awesome tour guide, Adam, took us to new and exclusive wineries each day, in and around Napa Valley. We also had a wine and food pairing in Sonoma and Napa Valley. The wineries we visited and the wines we had exceeded our expectations. With Adam, we felt like travelling with a friend, he never finished the tour as scheduled, he always added more time to our daily trips and made us feel like a family. We were really glad to book multiple private tours with this company, we had a hot air balloon ride scheduled during the weekend, but we could not fly due to wind and weather conditions. However, the next day, we took off from Yountville, and had one of the best sunrises ever. It’s an exciting and fun experience.Adam is an expert photographer and took a lot of beautiful photos of us, he later shared them with us. This was an amazing experience we will never forget. We wanted to see the big redwood trees and decided to skip Muir Woods and visit the Russian River Valley wineries and Redwoods. The choice of wineries there was a great fit for our taste, we visited DeLoach, Gary Farrell and Merry Edwards Winery. We love pinots and enjoyed awesome wines there.Last, we spared one more day to visit Yosemite national park during our stay in the Bay Area. We had a long day private trip with a nice tour guide, his name is Gerard. He was kind enough to take us on a hike to see the big sequoias after visiting the Yosemite Valley. We are surprised by the beauty and majesty of Yosemite, but a one-day trip doesn’t do justice to Yosemite - I recommend at least 2 or 3 day.Our last day took us from Napa to Alcatraz, and then, we got dropped off at SFO and then flew back home to Guatemala City.Thank you for the memories! We highly recommend this travel company and Adam; you won’t be disappointed.Ramiro A. and Irma Lopez

I had a wonderful experience alongside thirteen others who were in my group tour of silicon valley and San Francisco in May 2017. Golden Horizon Tours is a well organised group. It was nice to see how promptly I got their attention and response each time I contacted them. They took their time to offer all the information required to make the best decision for my group tour. Their tour guides are very seasoned professionals and were very helpful and friendly to the point of taking photos of my group and sending to us via mail after we were long gone. I will gladly recommend those seeking the services of a tour agency to feel confident enough to engage the services of Golden Horizon Tours. They are simply the best.Ernest.

One of the hardest things to do when trying to book excursions from overseas is being able to trust unknown companies. Despite investigating many options, the costs and reading reviews a selection is given to a firm trusted over many years. We booked two incredible and separate excursions with this company based upon older reviews. One to Yosemite National Park from San Francisco with a drink stop at the famous Iron Door Salon in Groveland. The other to Muir Woods and the wine producing areas of Sonoma and Napa Valley. The two wineries visited were Jacuzzi Family Wines in Sonoma and Domaine Carneros in Napa. In between we had lunch and wine at the perfecto Della Santinas Restaurant.I truly believe that a really good tour is not complete unless you are provided a passionate and skilled driver. On both occasions we had fantastic drivers. Both Buddy and later Jon (a former Kiwi) were knowledgeable, energetic, polite and passionate about the history and sights of the areas they covered. Both these guys seemed to know everything about anything - and I mean everything! Both drivers were interesting to listen too which made the time between highlights enjoyable and entertaining. GREAT WORK - true professionals. So if you are thinking of using Golden Horizon Tours look no further - you should not be disappointed.

Excellent tour of Muir Woods and Alcatraz all in one day!We had only a few days in San Francisco and we chose this private tour that combines the two attractions on the same day, we were lucky that this company had Alcatraz tickets.Without a doubt, the best guide in San Francisco was Adam, he took us through the sequoias forest in a luxury SUV vehicleHighly recommended, all-inclusive service, they even left us at the terminal to take the Alcatraz ferry

We have just had the best adventure tour in Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur and Hearst CastleWithout a doubt, by far the best tour of our lives. ! Minimum 20 stars for this company. We have spent the 3 most fun and exciting days of our lives, my children were delighted with everything they have known in this travel package to visit Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, and Hearst Castle. We were picked up at our hotel for free and very timely. First they took us on Highway 1, the landscapes were incredible, we were lucky that the weather was clearing and the whole day was the best! We stop at several places like Pacifica, Santa Cruz, Capitola, then we also stop at Moss Landing to see the otters (my children are very delighted with these beautiful creatures), then we have lunch in a restaurant of marine food, super delicious food and very fresh. !! Then we continued to go to Monterey where we could meet the Cannery Row, the old Fisherman’s wharf and the Monterey Aquarium that my children were delighted to be able to play and tour the aquarium from top to bottom without trouble). The advantage of booking with this company is that its tours are only private, therefore our activities were customized according to what we wanted to do!After taking advantage of the afternoon, we took advantage of shopping, walking along its beaches and we even had time to taste some local wines. There was a lot to do and see, and it is very interesting for all ages.On the second day, we left Monterey to get to know the famous scenic route of the 17 Mile Drive, and we made stops to take photos in the tree of “Solitary Cypresses” a whole living symbol of the area, then they took us to Carmel by the Sea, where we had time to walk through its beautiful streets -which have no numbering !!! incredible! . Then we visited the Mission Ranch of actor Clint Eastwood for lunch and to see his lodging. What a beautiful place with incredible views and very quiet. After taking dozens of photos, we continue towards Big Sur “qualified as the most beautiful scenic Route in California”, very good qualifier - totally agree!, we made a stop at the famous Bixby Bridge creek bridge, which appears in a TV series “Big Little Lies”,… then we headed towards Julia Pfeiffer Burns Park where we made a super easy walk - to see the beautiful Mc Way Falls falls -where the water of the waterfall joins the ocean - a dream landscape !! . We all enjoy them very much! Then our guide made several more stops along the scenic route of Big Sur until we reached our hotel in San Simeon. On the third day we visited the beautiful Hearst Castle, a huge property, with beautiful works of art, our favorite place without a doubt was the pool of Neptune. The Castle has several types of tours but we chose the Grand Rooms. Then, we went to see the sea elephants in Piedras Blancas, how interesting to see all the mammals gathered in one place. When the time came, our guide took us to lunch at a beautiful restaurant overlooking the sea. What a perfect day! With great satisfaction we can tell you that we loved our 3-day tour of Monterey, Carmel, Big Sur, and Hearst Castle, a rating of at least 20 stars! Thank you for making our vacation an unforgettable experience!Carolina Sanchez and family
