Excellent hotel with a rich history, very well preserved and maintained. There were great dining options and I recommend checking out Pied Piper for drinks.I’m also happy they still had all the amenities offered and services available despite it being COVID. Specifically, valet parking, pool, fitness center, breakfast in the main hall.
The Palace Hotel is a beautiful property. The staff were personable, professional and quick to help. Every item you interact with from check in to check out feels like quality. The sense of history you feel wandering down the wide corridors and through the beautiful Pied Piper bar is just magical. Breakfast under the glass dome of the Garden Court was a particular highlight. The one downside is that they don’t seem to answer communications before your stay. I tried email twice through Amex Travel. I was then sent an automated message five days before check in asking me to reach out if I had any requests, needs or itinerary specifics. Signed Adam Ponce Director of Front Office. I reached out via the means they gave, again no answer despite their prompt to contact them. Lackluster service for such an otherwise perfect hotel experience.
The hotel was fine and service was not bad. I am a Marriott Titanium Elite booking through American Express Fine Hotel and Resorts program. However, there are some small errors on the way. Like some dirty bed sheet and etc. After complaint, they made up some so its a 4 star.Okay, lets start with the good part. The good part of the hotel is that even if the hotel is a history hotel, it still maintained pretty well. It is pretty clean comparing to most other hotels. I also like the swimming pool design. It comes with good lights and comfortable feeling. The services from valet, in-room dining, piper restaurant services was pretty good. Especially the staff from valet, I was helped with most of my luggage and other things. Its pretty nice of him and I havent been treated well from valet parking for a long time.
I cant believe how nice this hotel is and how well we were treated and having such a low nightly rate like it does. Its a beautiful hotel and our stay was very pleasant and still return again if the occasion ever occurred. The breakfast was great! The only minor ding that I can think of is our hotel room not being as cold as we liked 68-69 degrees, we set the AC to 65 degrees with full winds blasting for the whole night and morning and the lowest the room ever got was 71 degrees. Nonetheless, it was a great stay with great staff! Will return!
Dont forget to use Hᴏᴛᴇʟʙᴜʟʟʏ.ᴄᴏᴍ when booking any hotel. This site will compare countless booking websites and normally will have prices a lot cheaper compared to others! Thank me later on! This place is one of the best in the area. I have been coming here for a very long time. If you choose this place you for sure will love it Im sure!Rooms are spacious and clean. Very comfortable to stay in. Buffet breakfast included with the room has a lot of variety. Overall a very satisfying experience.
This hotel was BEAUTIFUL. It was in the perfect location in the financial district, within walking distance from everything you needThe staff was kind and accommodating. There was one staff member, in particular, her name was Lidia, she was in the pool area every day. She made our day every time we saw her. She was so sweet and kind. She remembered our names and went out of her way to get us water and towels. She was so good to our kids and they adored her. She is a gem.
Cozy, warm, moody, classy....the hallmarks of a Grand Historic space. Youll enjoy the feeling of old luxury from the minute you walk in the doors to the Grand Lobby, conceived and built immediately after the San Francisco earthquake of 1906. Enjoy an afternoon or evening drink at the Pier Piper Lounge. Iconic San Francisco
The Palace Hotel has a beautiful opulent lobby located in a nice central area. The service from the concierge, the front desk, the valet parking assistants, to those who service the rooms was friendly and excellent.I had a standard double bed room which was a tad small but very clean and quiet. The two problems I had is the only mirror in the room is in the bathroom so only one person can get ready at a time. And there are no dresser drawers - everything gets hanged or stays in your luggage.
Such an incredible experience staying at this hotel, with the kindest staff. Everyone we had interaction with truly went above and beyond to ensure that we had a marvelous stay. To top it off, each special request was openly accepted and graciously met with politeness. Beautiful facility, but the hospitality is unmatched. Absolutely 5 stars 🌟
Positive: As soon as you walk in, you get to see the stunning Garden Court which is the really the centerpiece of the hotel. This was my favorite part of the hotel. However, the entire property is beautiful and incredibly clean. Negative: Small windows with no view. The pool area, while nice, seemed too small for the size of the hotel.
Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, and the charges are fair. These are the benefits that I was able to experience in this hotel, and Im thankful because everything else was certainly amazing. I could not ask for more from these guys because I was greatly satisfied with the service that they provided, and my stay here was really memorable. Thanks, guys! Keep it up!
During our 6 day visit, every single staff member whom we encountered was exceptionally polite, friendly, and helpful. It all began with Scott, the wonderful gentleman who checked us in. The location was ideal for easy access everywhere, while at the same time being a sanctuary from the hectic city. Unlike the other hotels we have visited on this trip that are still using Covid as an excuse to skip all housekeeping services and other amenities, The Palace continues to provide all of the excellent services and amenities one would expect from such a fine establishment. When traveling to San Francisco in the past on business, I stayed in considerably more expensive hotels which were not nearly as pleasing as The Palace. I wish to extend a warm thank you to all the staff and management for helping us to create a marvelous and memorable experience.
Positive: Exceptional hotel pluse an excellent customer service. The gentleman from front desk was so professional and attentive with a warm friendly smile. The palace hotel has never disappointed me. The best Thank you Negative: Best hotel
Very good hotel with great facilities. I would have spend a few more nights here if I could
The restaurant manager at the Garden Court was fantastic (I believe his name is Antonio). The room condition is good as well. However, I deeply regret staying there. It is because the response and attitude of the front desk manager, Adam Ponce, was really horrible. I can’t believe it is a 5-star luxury hotel’s front desk management and response to its platinum member guest. I’m totally disappointed about the hotel. Not only the Palace made incorrectly charged me, but also used my credit card information without my permission. When I raised the issues at the front desk, Adam came to me and said he would take care of the issues, but he hasn’t done nothing at all, until I tried to reach out to him so many times. He promised me he would provide his contact info as well, but nothing has been followed up. I just made official complaint against the hotel. I will see what happens from now on. And whoever considering to stay at the Palace, please be careful about the wrong charges but care nothing about it afterwards, like I experienced.
Our favorite place to stay in San Francisco. We have stayed at all the most well respected hotels in the area and the Palace remains our favorite.
My partner and I visited here for the first time in June 2021. We had a lovely time. The room was great, the location was perfect, valet parking made driving in the city easy, and the whole stay was excellent. Ruben at the front desk was also very helpful and made us feel welcome. This is by far the best hotel I have stayed at in SF. We will be going back for sure! Thanks for a lovely visit.
One of the most stunning hotels i have ever stayed at. The staff was warm and welcoming, easy to park to valet your car and the decor inside the garden Court yard is breath taking. Breakfast was probably the least exciting part of the adventure, but cocktails inside the Pied Piper bar and walking around enjoying all of the history of San Francisco makes up for it.
The Palace is a wonderful hotel with a beautiful lobby & restaurants. The staff are gracious & kind with attentive service. The hotel is in a good location with easy access to transportation & lots of restaurants & shops within walking distance. Everything was very clean. I would stay here again without hesitation.
Had a lovely time stopping in few a few drinks after a day celebrating with my family. The interior is beautiful and the service was great. In particular, the manager Philip treated us extremely well. I highly recommend stopping in for a drink or some food.
This place was the most awesome place ever. The room, the staff, the pool are all simply amazing. The breakfast was to die for and the coffee rich and divine. The bath and soaps were exquisite, the pillow bed was like sleeping on a magic cloud of love. The decor, the convenience and the simple luxurious touches were worth every cent.
Positive: The of the hotel history was the main interest. The room was clean and the location is convenient. They were very nice about letting us do early check in. Negative: There was nothing that made it stand out other than the nice architecture. I would not recommend at the price.
Central, downtown location. Gorgeous, opulent interior. Rooms were decent size. Staff were highly professional. Given the quality, it is fairly priced. Would highly recommend.
Beautiful. Elegant. Classic. Timeless. The luxurious accommodations of this hotel surprised me and I’ve stayed at some of the world’s best. The Garden Court Restaurant was the biggest surprise—it’s a gem not to be missed. They also serve high tea. Make a reservation for whichever meal you choose on OpenTable to avoid a long wait. But if you have to wait don’t worry—the food’s delicious. Bon Appetite!
The rooms are nice, people are friendly but everything else is an disaster. Lights are flickering, random hairs on „fresh towels“, overly crowded, food way below than average. Electronics like a TV, Phone etc weren’t even plugged in and no one cared to change that. It took over 1 1/2h to get food delivered to the room after they had no space for us at breakfast (they told us that we didn’t made a reservation even tho we did)I am super dissatisfied and am sad to say that it ruined my experience in San Francisco. They did nothing to make it any better.
Calling all princes and princesses! The Palace was a wonderful experience; spotlessly clean and fabulous staff. Kudos to Jorge, Scott, the wait staff at Pied Piper and breakfast room, and the marvelous housekeeping ladies.
I love the old world touches including the history in the lobby and the historical artifact room. The Pied Piper was great for happy hour. The bell service was very attentive.
Positive: Great great historical 5 star hotel. Live part of history here. Great staff. Perfect location. Negative: Nothing bad!! Do try this place.
Beautiful hotel next.time I will stay the night.
Great architecture! Assistant manager would benefit on improving his communication skills when talking/handling to customers needs. I addressed an issue I had with housekeeping. The assistant manager did not seem interested on what I had to say, no apologies for the inconvenience and all he said was “Yeah, I’ll take care of it”. The issue was that as we walked to the room after checking in, one of the housekeeping ladies barged into our room while we were changing, after I was dressed I quickly opened the door, got the housekeeping lady attention to see why she opened the door without giving us a chance to get to the door. The housekeeping lady just said” oh I wanted to see if you needed anything”.
Positive: Good location! Negative: $75 valet, a little high. Also had to pay for WiFi considering this is a 5 star hotel, should be included.
The hotel is incredible! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner were all outstanding options. Their lobby is immaculate, and their security system is top-notch. It was also a very wide and well-kept room. Here, we had a wonderful time. They were all pleasant and helpful, putting you at ease and assisting you with your needs. Well contact you as soon as possible.
They used to host the most amazing brunch on the planet. The interior design is awe inspiring and the kind of beautiful charm you imagine 1920s San Francisco would have been back in the day. My once upon a time city is becoming too gentrified, too renovated, and too expensive, but there are some places worth looking at, and The Palace is one.
A nice kimpton experience. The staff was extremely courteous, the lobby, hallways and rooms were immaculate, and although awkwardly located in the city, walking distance from a handful of adequate restaurants and within driving/Uber/Lyft distance of all of the Phoenix metro area.
The first floor interior is beautiful, however the rooms are lacking. Nothing about our $300/night room feels luxurious and I’d honestly much rather spend $150 at a Fairfield Inn. The pictures of the indoor pool online make it look much better than it looks in person. The jacuzzi is also ridiculously tiny.We also went to their restaurant, Pied Piper, and were passed by so many employees before we were even acknowledged to be seated.Overall I am just not impressed in the slightest and I’m not even that “bougee”
I didnt stay there. A visiting friend did and It looked amazing
Great energy. Fresh, clean, and excellent service while being short staffed. Great reopening! Seriously impressed.
Fantastic experience! Good food, good service, beautiful ambience. 😍 we will be back.
Positive: The hotel is spectacular and the rooms are beautifully appointed. Negative: Nothing negative to say about it. In fact, we booked another stay the following weekend.
Lovely property, this is a return visit for us, and it always feels special. Very convenient to everything San Francisco has to offer.
Hands down, without a doubt, the Palace Hotel has been the go to for all our client company stays and all of our employees getaways since 1997 when we launched our website. The rooms are amazing, the staff is incredible and the atmosphere is quite honestly the best in the city. We have a saying around the office, its the Palace Hotel or nothing... The Palace Hotel has one of the most famous champagne brunch is ever ! If you havent gone to one as soon as the pandemics over youve got to make a reservation. We absolutely love the Palace Hotel
It isnt quite a 5 star hotel but the location and service are excellent and lobby is stunning. I keep coming back whenever Im in San Francisco.
Rooms are spacious and clean. Very comfortable to stay in. Buffet breakfast included with the room has a lot of variety. Overall a very satisfying experience.
Very nice looking lounge, but pretty overpriced for a beer in a can with a plastic cup. Was expecting better of such place for such price
This is a beautiful historic hotel with a convenient location. From the start, the valet/bell staff were welcoming and attentive. Marlon stood out to me and he is a great representative to set the tone for the stay. The Pied Piper was a fun place (in a beautiful setting) to grab some drinks pre-dinner or have dinner and drinks-we did both. We had an early dinner there prior to heading to the airport and loved the Wagyu burger. The staff were great too. I booked a deluxe room because the online photos looked amazing. It did not look quite as represented (to be fair, most hotels do this) but we were tired so we stayed one night. It bothered me the next day so I messaged the hotel through my app and the manager Mike OSullivan responded quickly and personally showed me a jr. suite room to see if I would like that better. We ended up taking the new room and were much happier. Mike was awesome and I appreciate the room change and other gestures he made to ensure we had an excellent stay. I would recommend this hotel and perhaps suggest booking a jr. suite category or higher if you require more space and light. Also, the hotel museum showcasing its history was cool.
Very good service. Good location. San Francisco has a homeless pandemic.
Such a relaxing experience. Beautiful hotel and amazing service!
Very elegant. Indoor swimming pool. Service is awesome! Will be back soon!!
Were very satisfied with the service for they have accommodating and lovely staff here. The food served was excellent to satisfy our tummy. It was all tasty and satisfying! Were very happy with our stay here. We loved the place!
Pretty hotel but the room was too warm for us.
This is a beautiful and quaint hotel. The rooms are well decorated, equipped, and comfortable for several nights stay. It is also strategically located: Chinatown - 10-15 mins walk, nearest Blue Bottle Coffee shop (popular coffee shop in SFO) - 5 mins walk, nearest drugstore - 5 mins walk, Fishermans Wharf - 10-15 mins drive, shopping center - 10 mins walk. Everything is within walking distance or if you prefer, within Uber or Lyft driving distance as well. The hotel staff are also very nice and welcoming.
The hotel is beautiful and well maintained. But it does not feel as fancy as it looks. I don’t know how the service was before covid, but now it is very disappointing. They do not have housekeeping “during the pandemic”, which is paradoxical since they say they are frequently cleaning and sanitizing, but it’s okay for the bedrooms to be dirty? They recently reopened, so the bar and restaurant are not functioning, which is also not very convenient. No room service whatsoever. The price for the rooms is the same though, so you get less and pay more, thanks to the covid excuse. We had to ask three times for clean towels. Not all staff are attentive, but some were very nice, so Im giving 3 stars.
This place is very nice the staff is welcoming for the most part. Just had a 5.0 earthquake on the 6th floor, felt a bit scary 😳 .They got an indoor pool on the 4th floor I want to check out.
Beware this hotel is closed and they will allow you to book a reservation. It just started to reflect on google they are closed and when you call them they also state theyve been closed since April with no updates to their website or reservation system.
This hotel has made our stay unforgettable. Nice and generous support. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, with plenty of options to pick from, the perfect start to the day! This hotel is highly recommended!
They overcharge your debit card, and it takes a million emails and threats to get your money back. To boot, the hotel is old and dated. I will never stay there again.
The staff were very helpful and kind
Clean room, service is really good!
This is the best hotel Ive been through. All of the staff really made me comfortable by answering all my questions to my full satisfaction. Everything was sparkling clean. There is plenty to do here, but if you dont feel like doing any of it you can enjoy some coffee or wine on your private balcony. Highly recommended!
I am giving 5 stars
You feel like royalty and go back in time in this historic beautiful building. Every inch is original complete with marble, dark carved wood and gold.
In 1923, Warren G. Hardings term as President ended suddenly when he died at the Palace Hotel, in Room 8064, an eighth floor suite that overlooks Market Street.Aside from this you will have the most memorable, beautiful and luxurious time in San Francisco.Enjoy yourself for once.
We love staying at the Palace Hotel. It’s part of the Luxury Collection by Marriott, so you cannot go wrong. With most of the rooms being recently updated, you’ll get a modern bathroom with a bidet, and the most comfiest bed! I also love their hair care products. The only drawback are the windows aren’t soundproof (they appear to be older) so you can hear honking and sirens if you’re on the lower levels. Try to request a room on one of the upper levels if possible. The brunch buffet is delicious and there are many options for everyone. Highly recommend. Even if you don’t eat here, have a cocktail during Happy Hour and enjoy the beautifully restored 100-year old glass ceiling. This is where The Game with Michael Douglas was filmed, if you remember that scene of him crashing through the ceiling. Also, make sure you use a parking app to find the lowest-priced parking options because their parking is not cheap.
Positive: Great hotel, great deal.
Gorgeous hotel. I had high tea in the garden court a while back. Would like to come back soon. Elegance from another era.
We are very satisfied with the service as they have friendly and helpful staff here.
I hope Kalakau’s spirit is alive & doing well🙏
I had a short stay a few months ago on a random exploration trip from Texas. I don’t remember much other than the gentleman at the front desk was from Boston and that his opulent customer service was truly radiating. I received the absolute highest quality of service. It was like I was the only person there. I will be staying here on my next trip to San Francisco just to see the opera and to relax the Palace. I will fly to San Francisco just to stay here. It really is that great of an experience.
This hotel was just okay.Dont bother getting dressed up nobody does. When I told the hotel staff it was my 25th anniversary no one really cared. This area at night is a ghost town. It was so boring! I really wish I would have went to Sausalito instead.
Might be the best luxury collection in US
Beautiful building and great location for brunch but I had a horrible experience trying to check in here when my husband was stuck on a flight. Very poor customer service. Will not be returning.
We had a wonderful stay. We took BART into the city and got off at Montgomery St. the hotel was right there. We came in around 10am and to our surprise our room was ready for us. The staff was friendly and check in was a breeze. The hotel itself is stunning inside. The rooms are big and super clean. The beds and pillows are comfortable. The indoor pool was fun for the kids. We wish we could have stayed longer.
If anybody is trying to find good deals for hotels visit RoomBully. com booked a hotel on there and they had the best rates anywhere! We thoroughly enjoyed staying at this hotel. Everything was perfect! We dined in the restaurant at the hotel, and it was delicious, and the service was excellent. We played golf, went shopping downtown, rode the trolley, and just enjoyed sightseeing on this beautiful island. I love it all and want to come back to visit soon.
Our stay at the Palace Hotel was exceptional and this is truly a Luxury Hotel. The staff at the Palace are top notch and go our of their way to make sure that you enjoy your stay and want to come back. Malia at the concierge desk and Scott at the front desk showed nothing but the best hospitality that you could ever ask for. We were celebrating our 35th Anniversary and helped make it the best. We have already recommended the Palace our friends as being a true 5 star and having 5 star staff as well. Keep up the great work! Thank you making our day very memorable. We cant wait to return!
This is a beautiful hotel with outstanding service. All my requests were accommodated before and throughout my stay. The room was clean, spacious and had great views (on Market st). Staff is very polite and professional. I am quite a picky traveler and was absolutely 100% happy with this hotel. Highly recommend it!
The only negative we had was the wait for the upgrade which took 4 hrs. However, after we were able to go to our suite the rest of the stay was exceptional. The service, food, comfort, quietness, spaciousness, and quality of the suite was way above our expectation. We have been in suites before but this was very nice. We have never had a problem with the food which is fantastic even for the breakfast. One must go to their Brunch and always make reservations even if it is for breakfast. We did dine in one night and the Filet Mignon with vegetables was really good and made to our expectations. The upgrade was definitely worth it because the suite is 3 comfortable, spacious rooms and great if one has a guest to meet. The location is perfect, you can take Bart directly to the hotel, it is close by to restaurants, the movie theater, and places to eat out as well. Within walking distance from Chinatown and the cable car. We will be coming back again.
The Palace Hotel is beautifully restored and maintained. The staff were very warm and helpful. Our room was spacious but there was very little storage, no drawers or cabinets. The bathroom was smallish but there was plenty of room for toiletries. My only complaint was that it was a little dark, and the water pressure was light. It was a rain shower with light pressure, so difficult to get a good rinse off. Also, the half shower door tended to flood the room. Overall a wonderful stay though.
Never going back. Not worth it.
Immaculate, historic hotel with a beautiful lobby. The rooms were spacious, had great details and were well appointed. I loved the Grand feeling even when walking in the hallways which in newer hotels have low ceilings and tight dark corridors this was quite the opposite. Staff was wonderful and from the valet, to bell desk I was impressed with the service. Jon V at the front desk was especially personal and kind and made or stay extra special by sending up a bottle of champagne.
Such a beautiful, and well appointed hotel. We had a stay-cation after my wifes company holiday party (also held at the hotel). The room was big and comfortable. The bed was a great size (king) for 3 (me, wife, toddler). The hotel is a nice change from the minimalism you find in modern hotels. It really does conjure images of old San Francisco in its heyday of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Positive: people service Negative: location
We have always enjoyed the interaction between the Palace staff and my wife and I. This time Bellman Ronald (last name escapes us) was there and saw us to our room. He was very informative regarding new places to eat and see. During our three day stay we saw Ronald on and off, visiting with him. It was this kind of hospitality that made us feel we were home. So hats off to Ronald and the other staff that made our stay so memorable.
Very cool, old style hotel. High ceiling rooms, very comfy beds. And a bidet built into the toilet! Great breakfast buffet. Parking at the garage across the street is pricey, and the hotel had no parking garage of its own. The windows in the rooms are very old. And likely are not double or triple paned, as the sounds of the street and trucks late seemed quite loud at night (which may keep you awake). But a good hotel. Book enough in advance, and you might get up to 50% off of the room rate.
Simply a wonderful experience, even if it was brief. Given the change I would definitely return. The service from start to finish was excellent. Check-in was quick and friendly. Got to a comfortable and luxurious room, even if it was one of the more basic ones. Bathroom wasnt large but it was well equipped. The water pressure was good for such an old building. On my trip, this was the only hotel I truly got a good nights rest in.They even have an evening turn down service. Even included a little chocolate. Who gives out chocolates anymore? They were also always loading me up on water bottles, more water bottles. While nice, I would hope to see bottle fillers replace so many of the plastic bottles.I also stayed for a Saturday breakfast buffet which was very well loaded with a variety of options. A good number of items from local shops. Great to see them supporting local businesses. All in all it was a wonderful stay and I hope to return. With cars no longer on that portion of market Street its much quieter and a great location.
The decor was beautiful. The lobby was gorgeous- and the hallways to the rooms were bright and well lit (and a little reminiscent of the original Shining movie 😎)- it was not what I considered true luxury because once we entered our upgraded room we found our cabinet doors were wonky and would not close without some manipulation, the bathroom sink slow drained (no pic because I cant get the video to post) and the interior of the ice room was dirty. The Buffet was too cold - cold, runny Eggs Benedict and half cold greasy bacon and sausage - no, no, no! Plus the wait staff all seemed to have attitude. The one saving grace was the cleaning crew. They were smiling all day every day - and willing to do whatever you asked of them.
Beautiful hotel, great location, close to all public transportation, MUNI & BART just outside, with cable cars just a short block away. Our room was clean and the hotel has an overall grand feeling about it. Lots to do nearby, restaurants, movie theater, civic center, nightlife and museums. Cant stress the location enough, we had a great stay and would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to enjoy San Francisco. No hidden resort fees or nightly imposed fees, I personally dont stay at any hotel that has those. Overall a 10 out of 10.
Amazing Hotel especially if you love historic buildings. Very modern amenities mixed with a classic hotel style you dont see any more. Location is great for food shopping and only a 20 minute walk to the Piers. Rooms are exactly how they appear on the website and very classic and upscale architecture/features. Our experience with the staff was amazing. Everyone was very helpful, courteous and prompt. San Francisco is a very unique place and if ever go back, The Palace would be my first choice. Beware if you drive.....you could check you car into a Motel 6 for cheaper than it cost to park there.
Once the famous Sheraton Palace Hotel now, simply the Palace Hotel...is still Breathtaking. Last weekend, we had a small gathering and enjoyed High Tea in the main lobby level area.First, our friendly waitress Delivered for pots of tea. Each different -most of us were looking for decaf. Note: The teapots weigh a ton! They are filled to the brim and very difficult to pour.I have no idea what the per person-cost was for the high tea, but I would think that the waitress might serve some of the tea.Everyone received four delicious, little, tea sandwiches. More tea was delivered.Tried to wave the waitress down to get a new napkin but she was busy chatting. Her assistant seemed distracted.Desserts were tiny ...and delicious.Very popular.
What a wonderful property. An oasis of peace from a very busy city. Staff go beyond excellent to be of service. Rooms are spotless and comfortable. Bathrooms are large and well set up. Garden Court Restaurant is just as I remember it 45 years later. Very European Grand. Food very good. Service beyond excellent with a full seating. This is a hotel with the vision of Grand and excellence in every way. You feel special and well cared for and above all comfortable.
I absolutely love the Palace Hotel which is one of the most beautiful in the world. Old world elegance meets modern convenience. I wanted to sit in the lobby for ours just to admire the architecture and art. I felt like I was in Paris. Rooms had upgraded, modern bathrooms which blended with the historical elements of the hotel without clashing. The only thing that needed modern change was the menu which was not vegan-friendly. Otherwise, we would have spent even more time in the hotel.
This hotel has old charm and modernized convenience. So close to all the attractions but very quiet. Staffs are friendly and willing to help you. Just this time we didnt get the connecting rooms that we asked. Instead we got 2 rooms with an electric room in the middle even though the hotel didnt look very full. One of the guests heard the noise from the room and had to use ear plug. And one of the water bottle in the room seemed opened already. We had water that we bought before so it wasnt big deal to us. Other than these, it was good enough for a weekend getaway trip for us.
