Found this place a year ago, and its only gotten better! Each of the trainers has their own unique style to switch up the workouts. They are professional, personable and a pleasure to be around. The focus is on quality and form over speed and weight. I highly recommend this studio!
I am leaving SF and one thing on my to-do list is to write a review for these guys. Where do I start? They are amazing, super friendly and so customer-oriented people. I had a few classes with Rory and it was very helpful, gave me great tips and ideas on what to focus on. And each time I saw him in the neighbourhood, it was always super friendly, asking questions about me, my job, etc. A great professional and a great person! And I have to mention Lynn, the Yoga teacher. Never was a fan of Yoga before going to her classes, but she totally changed my perspective on it, and I have made some real progresses and I love it. Her class are usually 10 people max, so she can look at everyone and give you advice/tips. And she will never hesitate to spend 10 more minutes with you after the class if you have questions. If you are looking for a place to get fit and more flexible, this is the place!
Great studio with intimate classes. Workouts are constantly evolving and vary from ball classes to cardiofocused to muscle building/toning. Joshua is personally my favorite instructor.
Youll always get a great workout at Yubalance, they have an awesome variety of HIIT classes and the trainers are all great - especially Joshua and Maike. Its a family owned business and theyre really killing the game and have recently opened up two more locations. Join Yubalance, its worth it!
Ive taken YuFit with Rory, saturday morning yoga, hip hop and Music Video Mondays. Theres not a single class at this studio I dont love. The trainers and teachers here are personable, knowledgeable, and really listen to their customers. And the small classes means more personalize attention to make sure youre in good form.
Took Biancas 50-minute Latin Fusion dance class at YuBalance.Studio is small with hardwood floors and mirror on one wall. There were 10 of us in the class, and we were able to space out and dance comfortably. Bathroom and small locker area are clean, with water dispenser (and Cheerios and nuts, though Im not sure if those are for guests and/or staff). You can borrow a lock for $1. Staff is welcoming and friendly.Bianca taught us a quick routine (~10 8-counts) which was a non-technical mix of samba and salsa steps, shimmies, body shaking, and other cardio goodies. It was a nice mix of choreography and deliberate cardio workout - though if youre looking to learn samba / salsa technique, this class wont do that for you. Bianca taught us in groups of 8- or 16-counts, which we practiced for most of the class, until we put everything together in the final minutes of the class.Easy workout for beginners who want to get back into shape in a fun way. I sweat just slightly but never felt winded or tired. If you have a hard time keeping up with any choreography, Bianca may go quickly for you, but she went at a manageable pace for our class. The studio is a bit far from me, but if Im in the area again and have time to kill, I would come check out another class.
Solid group fitness classes. Comfortable environment. Friendly staff.
Despite being a small boutique studio, Yubalance has a wide variety of classes for whatever kind of fitness you are seeking. The owners are awesome, the space is immaculate, and the classes will kick your booty!
Very clean, super helpful staff and a fantastic workout!
