The CorePower studio on Fremont is so filled with wellness, teaching and learning.... no words can describe how much I treasure the months I spent going to hot yoga at CorePower Fremont prior to the shutdown in March, 2020. The practice was transformative and amazing on every level. The instructors are true professionals. To CorePower management - please please please keep this location open. You have an incredible thing going here, and I so hope that you will re-open as soon as the City of San Francisco permits in-studio yoga. I have imagined taking extended child position for the first time again, and it will be amazing! Ive been practicing to the CorePower video yoga, but it is not even close the in-studio experience. To all of the staff - thank you. You are the best!!!
Friendly staff and motivational teachers. Facilities are clean and well maintained.
CorePower Yoga on Fremont Street is the best! As someone who used to be sort of intimidated by yoga, Ive learned so much from going here regularly, and the experience has really been transformative for me.Virtual yoga classes just dont compare to the sense of community and honestly *peace* that comes with flowing at the studio with others, in person. So CorePower corporate, please keep this location open! 🙏The teachers are wonderful – friendly, helpful, encouraging, and make yoga feel accessible to anyone. If I could take every class with Jenna, I would. Her classes are awesome and she’s great at giving verbal adjustments to improve your form in real time... and Im not just saying all of this because we share the same name, promise!Thank you CorePower on Fremont for being such a sanctuary for me and the local community! So grateful for you.
I came here Monday 8pm and they said they were closed while app said otherwise.the same thing happened again today.Apparently, I guess they no longer announce it on the app anymore. after you’ve rushed back home from work, change, and go over and they tell you NOPE. What’s the app for then?! Wasting people’s time. Other than that, been going to this studio for 5 years now and nothing like this has ever happened. Their inversion classes are great. They rarely have it but it’s so fun. But I’m still really mad about not announcing class cancellations on the app. It’s funny cus I was rushing to get to yoga even tho I had important things to do at work. So I even called today at 6:30pm before going to the 8pm. But of course, it goes to their Denver service line. No one picks up at this time. You can’t get through to the front desk of the studio you’re trying to go to
Filled with good vibes 😎
Please be aware that this studio has extremely inflexible rules. I arrived exactly 3 minutes late, and wasn’t allowed in by the rude lady at the reception. They urgently need to have their policy reflect that of a friendly lunch time yoga class and not the rigidness of the stock market. Very counter-productive to the spirit of yoga. San Francisco has much better to offer than this place.
This is a very commercialized yoga studio, which is not necessarily a bad thing. There are classes through-out the day, the studios are great and them team friendly and helpful. Furthermore, there is no need to book a class, which is a pleasant change from so many other places, and I have never tried that a class was full. However, although the instructors will always say they are hands-on and will offer assistance etc. this almost never happen. You will be have to be far out from a pose for it to happen, and there is rarely any assistance into a deeper stretch etc.
Adam (I think that was his name) was a great instructor. I like that he pushed us really hard. If youre only working out once in a day, and its going to be a sculpt class, make it count. Everyone is responsible for their own level of challenge and he set the bar high so that I made no excuses for myself. Really great workout.
I loved Kellys class! She has a peaceful energy but she really brings on the heat. I couldnt believe she packed all that into one class. I left feeling so much lighter and free...great job Kelly!
Everytime I go, I got other ppl’s hair on me. I am not exaggerating, literally everytime, do they even clean the studio?! If you look at their floor, it’s dirty! Dead skins, hair, dusts...
High quality classes and instructors. Extremely friendly staff. Love the studio amenities and the heated yoga rooms. Also love that I dont need to sign up in advance. Only downside is the rush to get into class.
Everyone has been so nice and incredibly helpful. The facilities are great, and although I didnt come by for the little shop, there are all sorts of finds in the retail section as well. Really enjoying my first classes here.
Very professional yoga teachers and the most friendly people youll ever meet. Everyone must try CorePower yoga at least once to explore how it can affect your daily life and how relieved youll be just after the first experience. Must try, Bonus: first week free too :D.
I try to badly to love this studio (maybe its just this location) but I cant get over that there is no staff to clean the studios between classes or the bathrooms? Its 2018, studios are hiring people to manager things like this because people pay a lot of money to take a class OR better yet be a member!!Also, towel rentals? Are you kidding me? They aren’t even good towels they are clearly overused.Speaking of a support staff: 1. it would be beneficial to have someone clean the floors as well as the bathrooms and the WEIGHTS. Also, if a student pits the weights back... the likely hood of them not being put back properly are high!2. SO WHEN THE WEIGHT ROLLS OFF THE TOP, a 5Lb one mind you, and slams down on my foot... you would hope they had a first aid kid or just some ice?! The girls at the desk looked at me like I was crazy?i get that there is a waiver for situations like this but, really?? NO ICE? How about an AED if someone has a heart attack?Honestly, as much as I like your sculpt classes. You probably wont find me back here ever again.
Beautiful studio-- everything is brand new and they have a great locker room and amenities. The staff is friendly and helpful. The only negative (but you have to expect this in SF) is that the 5:30pm class was super super packed which meant a super packed and crowded locker room after but I think thats just more the nature of yoga in the FiDi anyways!
Fabulous and helpful instructors. And I am a beginner! Patient, Competent, Mindful, and Welcoming Instructors. They made me feel I fit right away. Will be a patron regularly for sure!
I arrived at the studio 15 minutes before class started signed in and went to get changed. It was taking the teachers who were signing all the guests in a while to get organized. By the time I had changed and made it to the studio it was a few min before the class started. The teacher came out and told me and another guest there was no room even though we had already signed in and paid. She then told us she had to start class and closed the door on us. When going to the front desk to inform them they said they would refund our class but did not offer any sort of apology. I frequent other corepowers but will not return to this one. Not only was I not able to go to attend the class I had signed up for but I was treated poorly. The studio should know how many mats fit in it and book accordingly.
Terrible front desk people rudely declining our request for the scheduled class due to ‘not enough people showed up’. My friend and I showed up the second the clock turned one minute past the hour and they say oh the class is canceled. I asked why and they said not enough people showed up and we’re late..... by half a minute..... Ruined the holiday spirit due to them being lazy and not wanting to honor the class cuz it’s just two students and they probably think it’s not worth their precious while.
Amazing yoga here I’ve never been in such a better mind state until after a yoga sesh with my sister she’s becoming here for years now
Clean and solid core power studio in the heart of San Francisco’s FIDI. They are also on class pass now which is a plus!
All the yoga experience you need each and everyday! Perfect variety of yoga classes from very professional and mindful instructors. Awesome.
I love CorePower classes, and was really excited for this studio to open. It did take 6 months longer than announced to open, though. Ive also had really bad luck coming for an early class and the instructor doesnt show. Nothing on the schedule or sign on the door to let a line of people know.
Very nice facilities, studio rooms and shower/locker room! The teachers are very friendly and Im thoroughly enjoying classes so far.
Great studio for hot vinyasa yoga! CPY has a strong following so it gets packed very quickly. Best to get there 15-20mins early to savasana in the heated room. Get your sweat on!
Visited from out of state, no issues signing in, men’s locker room was clean and my C2 instructor was fabulous!
Honestly the people that work at this studio are not nice. I rarely post reviews on here, but I’ve been to quite a few corepower studios and everyone who works at this studio is just so so unfriendly.
The community at Corepower Yoga is amazing. The teachers are all so nice and welcoming. The facility is spotless at all times. Great temperature inside. If you like heated yoga, Corepower Yoga!
Great modern studios, challenging classes, many locations, super instructors.
- good schedule- nice people- close to work- open early- shower etc.- great workout
Amazing staff that is always super friendly and accommodating! Great classes from incredible instructors.
I really loved the relaxed atmosphere and yoga practice (C1)
I love Corepower Fremont St. The energy is fabulous and the instructors level of expertise is awesome. The instructors that I think rule are: Melissa Mae, Martha Pe, Diana O and Lamat - I always look forward to taking their classes!
Dear Yoga People, My friend took me here for my birthday, I was really irked to find out it was 70 minutes and even more annoyed that it was in a hot room. I did bikram yoga for a year to prove to all my yoga loving friend that I hated it and that I had given it a good go so they couldnt say I didnt try it long enough. First third of the class I was cursing the class. Two thirds of the class I was just trying to survive the class. Last part of the class......I made it this far, I might as well finish the damn thing. Twenty minutes later, I figured I felt good and in 70 minutes I got a good cardio, strength and stretching in. I decided I would take up the week of free classes and kinda like the 30 day bikram challenge I would do it daily. I told a couple of friends about my suffering and they either want to see me suffer or think its a good workout option for them too. I obviously have not seen any results, but a healthy change doesnt happen over night. Ask me after a month to see if I feel the same way. Sharon
Friendly instructors. Good music. Nice locker room.
Challenging and fun classes. Yoga sculpt rocks!
Great yoga classes from great instructors.I can keep up my practice anytime that I wish because they have classes almost every hour.
This location has friendly and helpful instructors.
Awesome yoga studio! I pass by this place all the time and they are also a participating studio on ClassPass, so needless to say I felt a visit was definitely overdue. The studio is easy to find. Its a short walk from Market St if youre taking transit. Theres street parking and bike parking in front of the studio or nearby around the corner. Its very clean and well-kept, and the staff are friendly and welcoming. Bonus: First week is free for new students! Some places only give one free class - if even that - but a whole week is more sufficient to get a better feel for the place and decide if you want make it your regular yoga studio ;)The studio has 3 yoga rooms. Studios 1 and 2 are large and roomy. They can get crowded a times, especially during rush times before and after work since there are so many people, but I still find that I can always find enough space to put my mat. Worst case, the staff can come in to request people to make room. I made the small mistake of setting up my mat right in front of the heaters once though, so keep an eye on that if you dont want to have heat blasting on you for half the class lol - especially since the room gets hotter and hotter as more people show up and start yoga-ing. Studio 3 is smaller, so it tends to be used for less populated classes. They all have large windows along one wall, which is great for letting in natural light if the shades arent closed for privacy. This is probably one of my favourite yoga studios in SF. The only downside I can think of is the changing rooms - at least the womens one. While it provides useful amenities and the lockers have automated locks on them (so you dont need to remember to bring your own), its a huge mess most of the time when I come. There isnt enough room for everyone to change nor store things, so its usually very crowded between classes, theres oftentimes a huge dump of stuff along the floors (meaning your stuff is also not secured), and it becomes difficult to navigate.Ive been to a bunch of different classes now, and all of them have their own pros and cons, depending on what your preferred class style is. My favourite is CorePower 2, which provides less instruction than CorePower 1 and is more flowy (vinyasa) as a result. CorePower 1 (and the newer 1.5) are great for beginners and advanced students alike since there are always new ways to challenge yourself. Hot Power Fusion is a great hot yoga class, though there are generally more static and holding poses than the other classes. I havent tried Yoga Sculpt (which uses weights) yet, but hopefully one day I brave it and just go. You dont need to sign up for classes in advance (actually, Im not sure you even can now since they changed their website). Just show up with your class fob or give the front desk your phone number (to find your account) and youre good to go!
Great location with modern studios and helpful and friendly staff.
Love working out here!
During the weekend, they close the doors right before the classes start. even if you are 1 min late, they can’t accommodate your practice. I’m a black tag member. on Saturdays and Sundays there is only one mid afternoon class in Fremont st in SF, and they usually close it right before the class start (2:57/58pm) so I can’t never use C2 on Saturdays.
So many great instructors!
Great practice, nice teachers.
Good place
Kind staff.
