My wife, three teenagers and I stayed at Villa Nob Hill for four days in July. We loved it! The building and apartments are beautiful and relaxing. It is right on a street car line and a block away from a grocery store. And Barbara the host was wonderful. It was the perfect base for us to explore on our first trip to San Francisco. We definitely would stay here again. Thank you Barbara!

My husband and I spent an amazing two days at Villa Nob Hill. We were incredibly pleased by the location! We walked to many a wonderful restaurant and bakery. There is a wonderful upscale grocery one block away where you can get plenty of local snacks and treats! We also were a short walk from Chinatown and a (longer but doable) walk to the Pier.It was extremely convenient to have a full apartment as well and Barbaras apartments are so cute and well-situated, it really feels like home!Barbara was a wonderful host and is a wealth of San Francisco knowledge! We had a wonderful time!

If you are visiting San Francisco, this is a MUST. Brought my wife for the first time and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Rooms were fully furnished, clean and the attention to detail and service was top notch. A real home away from home! Parking was a bit of a challenge but considering the service and the proximity to downtown San Francisco, it was a very very wise choice for our lodging.

This place is home away from home. The room is cozy and clean. Perfect for families and travellers looking for comfort. And Aunt Barbara is a warm and amazing host.

Great value, a convenient and comfort location.We had a very good experience in this rental apartment. While we were in town for business, these apartments would serve tourists or casual visitors equally well. The location was convenient- just a short walk to Union Square, Chinatown, etc. If youre in a rush, you can catch Uber and be anywhere in just a few minutes. Even the California St. cable car is an option, passing by right out front. Service was extremely friendly and personal. All pictures in the listing are accurate. Id definitely recommend as an alternative to standard hotel rooms or hit-or-miss AirBnB.

I love staying here, and Im going to again. Ive stayed on business and Ive stayed with my family. Its a beautiful Edwardian building and a great location (10 mins walk downtown). The main reason I keep staying here though is because of Barabara. She looks after my wife, me and my kids. My son thinks shes his Auntie.

Erratic experience. I found the rooms dark, kitchen poorly equipped, and parking difficult. The owner is obtrusive sometimes, lovely other times. My first stay was fine, but when I returned I had a bad experience. I was reprimanded very stridently for food splatters (but had no lids for pots and pans to prevent splatters) and for failing to sort compost properly (no instructions on sorting, so I tried anyway, but apparently got it wrong). During one long stay, the owner called me over a dozen times a day over minor household issues. I told her I was feeling harassed, and she reacted badly (threatened to change locks etc.) I had paid all the cash for a whole month, but ended up leaving early, and she would not give me access to retrieve some of my things, nor a refund.
