Our experience with Landing so far has been excellent, I would not hesitate to rate the overall experience 9/10 particularly for quality of furnishing, the convenience and ease of moving, and of course the good customer service since those three things are most important to anyone who moves frequently. I was initially put off by some reviews when I first discovered Landing but after getting into the details I noticed its not for everyone. This product is really geared towards a specific type of customer who requires stress free moving often several times a year, and for that luxury is willing to compromise on certain choices. So if Im using that measuring stick then I say they have done a brilliant job, and I wish them continued success since we look forward to staying with them for the long term. The only caveat being that they will need to expand internationally since we would also like to travel overseas.
I would definitely recommend The Landing for anyone looking for awarding customer service and quality housing. Quick shout out to Lindsey! She is incredible to work with! She is always super friendly, upbeat and personable. Her customer service deserves 6 stars!
Had a great stay with Landing while relocating for work. My Apt was well furnished, cookware, utensils and cleaning supplies were all in the apt.I could have used a bit more dresser space, but otherwise fantastic and easy.
TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!Vacated a landing unit about 2 months ago & I am still receiving emails from the building to update my renters insurance. When I informed the building management that I am no longer living there and asked the Landing team for an update, no one has bothered to reply to my emails. The building management refuses to remove our names from the lease agreement since Landing never informed them that we are vacating and according to them, we are still liable for the apartment. HOW IS THIS FAIR!?Stuck in such an iffy situation now since I am not in the country as of now.A word of advice - do not go ahead with this company, all they care about is acquiring new customers but no attention towards guest satisfaction!
Landing purports to offer fully furnished apartments. However, when I arrived, there were no blinds installed in living room/kitchen/bathroom. My unit faces the courtyard and is in a new all-glass building. When I asked support about this, they informed me that because the building would charge them $1000 to install them, they would not help me out. When I escalated the case, Landing doubled down and told me I could bring things into my home to make me feel comfortable. When I continued to complain, they refused to even answer me. Privacy is a human right. Paying $2700/mo for a furnished apartments with no blinds is a bait-and-switch.
So, maybe I am the exception but I have had a great experience with the Landing. My apartment came furnished with everything and suited my needs. Customer service has been great, and they are responsive everytime I call. There has been a few mishaps but nothing so terrible my life was altered. Checkin went smooth and the apartment complex is nice.
These guys were great 18 mos ago when i took a furnished unit in Los Angeles for a project that jas become much longer. But, now they seem to care less and are not responsive and no one ever answers any cries for help with the unit. They used to be more concierge care for the amount you pay a month but it seems like they have given up!!What a shame.. this will kill their business if they become just as bad as everyone else.
Just last week I spent hours looking at listings and wanting to book tours, however I could only book a tour the week prior. So I waited until this week to go back and book tours for the properties we wanted to view. Every single listing price had increased from $1700-1900 to over $2K. I asked via chat why they all increased from last week, and they are adjusting with the market. Well I can furnish a cheaper, nicer,, apartment if that is your customer service mentality. Really unfortunate as we were looking forward to an easy move. However, after reading some reviews it seems as though you cant even transfer landings with the 30 days notice as advertised.
How I wish we would have read some reviews before attempting to work with Landing. Similar to other guest, we arranged for housing months in advance. 5 weeks before our move date we were told the apartment we booked and paid for didn’t want to work with a 3 month lease (even though Landing’s website made this offer with no limitations). So after frantically rebooking with another property, we were feeling much better. Until the day before our move when we were told that they had to cancel our booking. The property had done a background check and it came back with all sorts of faulty “criminal charges” for my husband (he has a very generic name and all of them were wrongly attached to his name). The property had informed the Landing 3 days prior that this was probably a mistake and that we should dispute the charges so that we could continue to work together...however instead of allowing us this courtesy, Landing just flat out cancelled our housing and waited until the day before we were moving to inform us. The only way I got any information was by calling the property we had “booked” directly. They said that this was their first time dealing with Landing and that from their end they were very unimpressed and frustrated with the lack of communication.Don’t waste your time. They are unreliable. Their marketing is beautiful and they suck you in with great expectations, but they don’t deliver.
So far so good! Although I was discouraged by some of the reviews Id seen, the concept of Landing is something I believe in and would love to see be successful. Disrupting a long standing business model doesnt come without some bumps along the way! I personally have encountered one challenging call with support as well as an incredibly helpful one. I spoke with Sean on the latter and truly felt heard with my questions & concerns. He helped me identify a landing that will meet my needs. My move in date is later this month. Ill update this post if my outlook changes.
Trust the other reviews. This company doesnt know what its doing. The customer service is sloppy and youre not guaranteed to get what you paid for. I would have been better off with an Airbnb.
Dealing with the landing has been incredibly frustrating. First off, getting hold of anyone for questions or help is nearly impossible. Expect a long wait if calling their contact number. Emailing them is also not advices because they will email you back and then after you rely a new person will contact you, followed by this happening again. I am a travel nurse here part time in need of housing so I trusted the landing to provide me with a furnished apartment during this time. I paid in full for the upcoming 3 months. This was about 4 to 5 weeks before getting ready to move. We had spoken with members of the team and were confident about the move. Turns out they let us book this apartment 10 days too early and decided nit to tell us until 2 weeks before. We then had to move all our things in a uhaul and stay in a comfort inn without even a microwave for those 10 days and then finally move into our apartment. Now our apartment microwave is broken and won’t have a new one for another week, 2 burners are out on the stove, and the showers head is about 5ft off the ground. The landing has been very unprofessional and I would not suggest it to anyone unless desiring a stressful expensive move
I spoke with a lady named Zelda (if I remember correctly) who works at landing, and she was extremely rude. From when she answered the phone she was extremely condescending, yelled at me and hung up when I was inquiring about a price and ready to book. I am extremely shocked by the way I was treated!!
I booked an apartment with Landing, and literally the Saturday before I was to move in received a text message that my reservation had been canceled due to overbooking. I was told that my refund may take 5-7 business days which means that I would receive my money hopefully by the day that I was supposed to move in. I called Landing after receiving the text, and was told that only the weekend crew was available and that the managers were tied up. I left my phone number and asked that a manager call me at their earliest convenience. I never received a call back. The customer service is truly lacking with Landing. They could have at least offered me another property at the same rate since they canceled so last minute and I wouldn’t be able to receive a refund in a timely manner. Instead, I received a message via text stating that my reservation was canceled and when I requested to speak with a manager was denied that privilege. Take my advice and don’t waste your time!
Don’t waste your time like we did. Landings sounds like a great idea. Furnished apartment with a MONTH to MONTH lease option. Then you go to book your landing and it says minimum 3 month stay. Very deceiving advertising!! We are looking to buy a house and Landings would be a great option for temporary housing, but it’s not what they advertise on the website. I even spoke with multiple people on the phone about the month to month leasing. Prices are not what they advertise on the website either. Lots of added costs!
We booked an apartment through Landing and I had called to confirm the apartment a month before our move-in date. They called me back 3 weeks later (1 week before were supposed to move in) to say that they no longer work with the building we booked. They had other apartments in the area, but all at higher prices, and they refused to honor the price in our original contract. So our only options were to either cancel our housing or pay a higher price to live in one of their other units.Very much a scam. I learned that they dont have actual contracts with many of the buildings they display on their website, so its not actually guaranteed that they can get you a unit when you book. They dont attempt to confirm your reservation until ~1-2 weeks before your move in, so any cancellation will be at the last minute.Be very wary if its a building thats new to the Landing network or if it doesnt have photos of the actual apartment. That means theyre not actually set up with the property yet, and theres a decent likelihood your contract will get cancelled right before youre supposed to move in.
This website isnt legit. I am a property manager and they listed my building in Culver City. We have no agreement with them. They are scamming people from their month.
I am so happy that my husband and I found Landing! We recently relocated to Austin, TX and needed a flexible, temporary place to stay for about two months while we were going through the home search/purchase process. We didnt want to move all our belongings into a place only to have to move again in a month or two, so Landing was truly the perfect solution. We have loved the complex we are staying in (great workout room, community space, work space, pool and SUPER pet friendly), and our Landing unit quickly felt like home. The decor is beautiful and we have had everything we have needed since moving in- including having utilities taken care of which is a huge plus. The Landing support team has been super responsive and helpful whenever we have needed them as well. I would highly recommend Landing if you need a flexible lease option without all the hassle, and a place that feels cozy and comfortable!
Awful service! We had a clogged sink and they took, no kidding, 4 days to fix it! We also had intermittent wifi throughout our stay, whenever we sent messages to have it fixed they would just ignore it. Awful!!!!
I can’t say enough good things about my experience with Landing. Incredible customer service and an excellent apartment. Highly recommend this way of renting.
This is such an awesome concept. I would suggest for anyone that needs a quick place to stay without the hassle. Literally you walk in with your clothes. I was so impressed with how well the kitchen was stocked with nice dishes and William Sonoma pots and pans. They also had hangers, laundry basket, first aid kit, flashlights, cleaning supplies, paper goods and even toiletries. I also liked the convenience of one bill and easy move out. I gave a move in/out date and they took care of the rest. Moving across country was hard, yet Landing made it easy.
Bait you in with underpriced apartments then tell you the real price after you pay first month and $200 fee. Total scam save your time and money.
Five stars for the Apartment, but only one star for the company office. Apartment was very nice, nice furnishings and nice kitchen equipment. Only drawback was no cable TV, only streaming TV available using your own accounts. Landings tries to differentiate itself from other rental companies with Concierge level support. This implies superior customer service. Unfortunately they fall short. My experience with their office has been poor compared to what I have received in the past from other companies. Frankly its the first rental company I have had any problem with. Starting with the lack of contact prior to arrival, to ignoring emails and not returning phone calls after we arrived. Their solution to a screw up was to ignore us the best they could. They waited until a day before our arrival to provide us with any info and then still provided no local contact or check-in info, despite multiple requests. When we arrived it took 2 phone calls to the support number and 3 hours for someone to show up to check us in, but we never got into the apartment as they couldn’t find the keys. They eventually arranged for us to stay in another unit for the night but we had a car full of possessions that we couldnt leave on the street in San Francisco. They eventually got us into our unit the next day. We were told we would receive compensation for the day we were locked out of the unit but that never happened. They also never got us a parking permit after multiple requests and again waited till the last minute to provide checkout details. The office had to be prompted using their chat window on the website after again ignoring two emails. Update: Actually received the credit after this review got published.
Really terrible customer service and we havent even moved in yet!!!
Apartment was beautiful, very safe, and nicely decorated. Does only have basic supplies. Had to go buy my own tupperware and measuring cups. Also internet was absolute garbage but pros definitely outweighed the cons.
Very professional and well organized courage housing. I highly recommend.
Will take your money and not provide a service!
Your Youtube ads are annoying
I recently accepted a travel contract in Colorado Springs, Colorado. My partner and I had booked an apartment and was emailed shortly after stating that the company had been unable to secure the property for us. The two alternate apartments they mentioned were out of budget and unable to meet the time restrictions for move in. I emailed the resolution team and Matt, the Resolutions Manager, was incredibly helpful, accommodating, and friendly. I had booked a different apartment out of the area because we were afraid that with the very limited availability, we would be unable to find housing. Matt offered one of the original properties for the price I booked the initial property for, almost discounting nearly a thousand dollars off the asking price. It’s been an incredible experience and I will be booking them for the rest of my contracts. Not to mention, Matt has rescheduled my reservation multiple times due to my assignment getting delayed! He had been incredible.
I am happy to report that my experience with Landing has been especially great lately. I work at a building where Landing offers apartments- and their rep Lindsey has been prompt, thorough and friendly. Shes making my job so easy- which makes it easier to take care of the Landing guests here as well. THANK YOU LINDSEY!!!
