I am disappointed with the exchange policy. Rothys, who boasts a designer price and brand, doesnt honor their customers satisfaction experience. My experience trying them on (nice) versus wearing them all day (AWFUL), was not a positive experience. However, because I wore the shoes 2x and discovered that the all-day wear was hurting my toes, Id hoped to exchange them. (Id not expected to need a bigger size because, with an 8 to 8.5 personal size, I opted for the 8.5; Ive never worn a 9 in any brand). They said, Sorry, no...Without being permitted to exchange them, I wont be purchasing from Rothys again. For as much as they charge for their shoes, they can afford to exchange barely worn shoes, from people willing to pay, and donate them to less fortunate people.
Poor customer service!! Ive tried exchanging a pair of shoes for a smaller size. With the pandemic I would have thought they would extend the return policy...and they wont. I have left messages, sent emails, asked for supervisors and even wrote a letter to the headquarters and still have gotten no where. I could understand if I was asking for my money back, but I just want to exchange them for the right size!!!! What companies wont do that especially when you spend so much money on one pair of shoes!!! Please be more accommodating!!
I was looking for a comfortable flat... Youd be surprised at how difficult that is! I have petite feet (a narrow size 5) and most shoes slip right off while size 4.5 are a little too snug. I ordered The Flat in a size 5, black.. These werent exactly love at first try-on but I gave them a fair shot and they fit pretty well (true to size, I guess)! I love that they have solid colors as well as a variety of designs for more outgoing personalities. They dont squish my toes and the insert adds a nice padding to the ball of my foot. Im interested in getting the loafers next but that would be an investment at $165.The only complaint(s) I have is that they dont absorb moisture very well, I havent found no-show socks that go with these shoes yet, and they are pretty pricey. I have not yet tried to wash them but supposedly they are machine washable.Update: I washed them last night! Machine wash, cold, with all my dark colored clothing, and air-dried. Looks good as new, didnt lose its shape or color.
I was given a gift card and when ordering the shipping address populated to a relatives address in Hawaii. I called immediately and they said they fixed it. I received an email verifying the correct shipping address and unbelievably enough, they still shipped to Hawaii and I paid the exorbitant sales tax for Hawaii. Then I had to send my relative money to ship them to me. Rothys was unconcerned and said the address was only fixed in their system in one spot, not the other causing the problem. Oh, okay. Guess I will just have to remember that time the shoes got to go to Hawaii every time I wear them.
I didn’t think I’d like these shoes. I inherited a pair from my daughter, who bought the wrong size, I’m surprised to find that I love them. You don’t have to wear socks. They slip on. Great for warm weather. And I washed them (didn’t tumble dry) and they look good as new. I wore them in China and India for a month total, then washed them, and they are still great. They are one size larger than my normal size, which is odd. Consider that if you’re buying online.
I was so excited when I was finally able to afford a pair of these shoes. I had heard such amazing things about the company and the shoes themselves. When they finally came and I opened the box I was SO surprised the shoes I had ordered where not in my box, even though the box and invoice showed the shoe I picked. I order a patterned cap toe in a 9.5 and recieved a all black point in a 9. I immediately called the customer service number and they told me all issues would have to go through the help email. I emailed them several times, after 3 weeks of no response I finally called to get to the bottom of things. The lady at customer service I talked to was very apologetic of the situation but informed me my “complimentary” replace and returned label/information had but mailed to a lady in Virginia. So not only were they careless enough to sent me the wrong shoes in the first place, they were careless enough to send a $125 pair of shoes to the wrong person!! I just want me money back and to return the shoes i did not order! I hope no one else goes through what I have with this careless company!!
I ordered my first pair of shoes with a referral discount from a friend. They arrived and they are a little small. A girlfriend came over and liked them so I sold them to her and said I would just order another pair! Win:win for Rothys, right? NOT! I emailed, since they refuse to list a phone number to call, and asked if they would honor a second discount for me to get a pair a half size bigger, which is still within their $20 off for new customers only policy (since my friend had never heard of them). Over $20, Janine said NO! So, I guess they dont want two new customers and will lose one, for sure and maybe more! Ridiculous! After an email to Gina, she sent a new discount code for the $20 off. Thank you Gina-I still don’t like that they don’t have a phone number to call and all is through email. As far as the shoes, I’ll review after I wear them on marble floors.
Cool HQ loved all the exposed brick.
Poor customer service and incompetent employees who cannot find resolution to simple requests. They tell you theyll need to get back to you and never do. Also, the sizing is tricky and theyre insensitive if their sized dont work for you, refusing to refund. Overall, you dont get the product or service for which you pay.
Rothy’s retail store address is 2448 Fillmore Street in San Francisco. Its such a beautiful store! Love it!
Do not wash these shoes. they shrink, and rothys does not stand behind their shoes. total misinformation.
Not sure what the hype is all about... been wearing the point flat for the last week and it is not very supportive at all. It also rubs my toes and heels. Not worth the money in my opinion.
This group has severe issues, first order arrived and the box was empty. The replacement order arrived and it had the wrong color shoes. Real problems with their systems and processes.
