Brought my dead computer in there and they miraculously were able to pull out the hard drive and put all my files on a little disc and they did this very reasonably. They were even able to fix the computer but it was getting pretty old and so we all decided that maybe the best thing to do would be to get a new computer. There was a woman in there ahead of me who was ecstatic because they managed to fix her laptop. She was very happy so I think that John there is a wonderful technician and great to deal with and they are reasonable as well. Its always great to have a computer guy that you can count on to go to and I think John is your man. Great place, great experience, reasonable rates and they had patience with me and all my questions. Thanks again!

So I had a problem where I couldnt open any application(Days gone, Siege, Tf2, any game) took it in said they would charge me $65 at starting price. waited 5 days for it when I came in the charge me $195 and hardly gave an explanation on what was the issue that I could understand, but when I got home I had to change a bunch of stuff for I can open a application, And now I have very low FPS(in 20 to 40, I was getting 150 to 240 before the problem). I have to give it that they did fixed the main problem but now I have a different problem which makes it where they didnt really paid attention or tested. I would go back but I dont want to be overcharge on something that barely fixed my issue.

Unprofessional and terrible service. Kept ignoring me as I was explaining what was wrong with my laptop, claimed it couldnt be fixed without really looking at it, and then changed his tune after finally seeing that all that was needed was a keyboard cleaning. Then, didnt completely clean the keyboard, yet charged me $35. I dont know where these positive reviews are coming from, but my experience here was extremely offputting.

I was in a hurry to fix my laptop and went to them because they have great reviews. The owner didn’t even look at the laptop much but he immediately said “oh just throw it away” The graphic card on the motherboard is dead”. He told me he can get my data restored and it will cost me $65. So he was nice and even sent me a screenshot of my desktop to see what files to save. I gave him my external hdd and when I come back to pick up my laptop and my extracted data on my hdd he wanted to charge me $260! I told him that’s not the price I heard. It was $60. He told me “You remember we talked on the phone and I told you $260”. I honestly don’t remember and I remember I asked him several times while in the shop and he said $65. I had only one receipt he gave me and it’s for $65. At the end he gave me a 50% discount on the $260 he was asking for. I paid and left. To be honest it’s not so much about the money but he made me feel uncomfortable and needing to explain myself. I just needed my laptop and hdd with me and to be out of there. If the owner is reading this: next time write the price down, explain the diagnostics of the laptop and see if the owner agrees or not. I attached my receipt:

What an awesome place! Ive owned and discarded tons of computers when things go wrong; the price point has gone down a lot. So when my Asus hinge broke, I quickly purchased a new laptop. But the Asus still had a top processor and wasnt that old, and I resolved to have it fixed. I found this place on Google.The guy took it and cautioned that touch screens can be tricky. But he accepted the job, and said hed followup in a week. A week later, call came to pick up the fixed laptop. He took the time to show me why it broke (shame, Asus, shame) and the bill was quite reasonable.If you have something that needs fixing, get it fixed here. Its important to use everything we own to the fullest extent possible. (My new lesson at least)

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I had a peculiar problem with my Acer laptop. One place I called did not want to be bothered. A person accepting calls at another told that she has to do paperwork and has no time for me, literally; I am not kidding.After hearing about my problem, SF Computer Repair rep offered to look at it. Within few moments after my arriving my issue was resolved! Moreover, I learned how I almost destroyed my laptop while attempting to fix it with assistance of YouTube videos. I spilled a large cup of tea on my mac book pro the other day. When I called them, they are on the point and told me what to do and what not to do at this point, and explained how they might help me in a very succinct manner.They are competent, timely and are honest. Dell was very gracious and are extremely helpful. I used to go to a mac shop in SF even though the owner of the shop got things done, I dont felt he knows his stuff cold. This place is different. Like I said, competent, honest, timely and no-frills. They also did a few things for me for free as an extra, very gracious. I highly recommend this place.

Knowledgeable staff, were able to quickly diagnose the hardware issue, a broken motherboard, and as promised (was told all other parts were in working order), I replaced the motherboard and my computer is back up and running like nothing happened!

I dumped a full 16 ounce glass of water on my Macbook Air, and the Apple Store told me it would be $750 min to fix. I found Cosmic Computer here, and saw all the great recommendations. Long and short of it, David there was fantastic, charged me $265 to dry it out and replace some damaged stuff, and I was good to go. I strongly recommend these guys. Honest and knowledgeable. Brought my Dell laptop back to life after I spilled a LOT of hot coffee on the keyboard. I couldnt believe it - I mean it was a lot of coffee! And not only that - I turned the computer back on! - needless to say - it did some frying. A+++ work at a very fair price. Very VERY happy!

I came into this shop flustered with my suddenly non responsive laptop that I was sure was going to need repairs that cost several hundred dollars. I had trouble finding anyone who did in house work and was told by multiple places that they would need to ship my laptop out to get fixed based on my description of the issue.John met me at the front desk and was incredibly sympathetic and listened to what I had to say. John clearly knows his stuff, and he suggested a problem and potential fix that Lenovo support (or anyone else for that matter) did not even suspect, bring up, or suggest. I walked out with my laptop completely back to normal in under 10 minutes. John is crazy good, crazy nice, and the shop is crazy awesome. I hope I never have computer troubles again, but when I inevitably do, I will be back here.

I HAD to finish a short job before leaving town the next day, and the aged iMac I needed for the work wouldnt boot. I called SFCR and asked if they have rush service, and they do, for a fee. I took the machine, agreed to pay the fee, and worried that parts would be unavailable or they would break the machine worse than it already was.The opposite happened! In an hour, Del at SFCR called and said my machine was fixed, and as a bonus he had upgraded its RAM in the course of replacing what turned out to be a bad memory chip. I got my job done in time and my computer is working again!Reasonable prices, life-saving super fast service! I hope not to need computer repair again for a long time, but I sure hope SFCR is there for me again when I need them. Highly recommended.

NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE!The worst service, my keyboard still doesnt work, the audio output it was good and know doesnt work ether and must funny part is when they stole the video camera just in case! They doesnt give you a warranty and you get your computer with out battery cause like that you cant check if everything its fine!NEVER COME TO THIS PLACE!

These guys are total pros, and they’ll remind you how nice it can be to work with a team you can trust at a local neighborhood business.I brought in a MacBook Pro that I’d dropped to see if we could at least salvage my data. Not only did they help me save my data and even get it partially working again, they actually explained everything they were seeing and looking for as they stepped through the process. I learned a few things, and another customer (who was raving about his prior experiences at the shop) hung out to chat and learn about the inner workings of a Mac, too.It’s the type of business you hope not to need too often, but I’ll definitely use them the next time we run into a computer issue of any kind.

My PC came down with a horrible virus that slowly shut down all programs and eventually didnt even allow me to boot up! Totally Frustrated and Didnt Know How to Proceed. The people at San Francisco Computer Repair, identified the virus, repaired all the damage done and had my PC up and running in no time. Even saved all my data. Good service and communication

Brought 2 computers in for repairs and have been very satisfied. One was a laptop with a cracked screen. They had a replacement and I had it back the next day.

No other place in San Francisco has such excellent and timely service. Took my Lenovo Desktop to two different places (including the Lenovo authorize dealer) and neither place could resolve the repair issues. Took it to SF Computer Repair and had it working an in top shape in less than 24 hours !

Had 1 really stripped screw on my laptop and the person in the shop got it out without even having a proper equipment at that moment. This is the best computer shop I have been to in SF hands down.
