Installed the wrong hinge on my Thermador oven door, stripped all the bolts for the mounting bracket and refuse to repair it, leaving me a $500+ to fix it.

This is a call center that will bid your work out to local contractors (adding time and expense to the process). There are many local contractors, skilled, experienced who can resolve issues quickly and the same day. Take note as these favorable reviews looks suspiciously fake. I’ve had great service w AAA Appliance Repair and Metro Appliance Repair in SoMa.

They were on time and actually honest to tell me not fix what was a minor glitch. The repair would have cost a lot and the repairman told me not to fix what was a small irritation. Not likely to cause any major problem . To leave it alone. Very very honest answer.I would use them always.

The Appliance Repair Doctor was amazing. Nathan showed up, gave my LG dryer a diagnostic and then determined that actually the issue was with the low voltage coming from the electrical outlet. Straight up honest service. I said goodbye, watched him walk down my walkway to my picket fence. I then saw him notice that the latch on my fence was loose. He put his heavy equipment bag down, found a more appropriate longer screw for the fence and took out his toolkit and fixed... my fence?! Packed up his things and drove away...huh? The office people were courteous and technicians arrived as promised. It did take 5 visits to finally fix my dishwasher. My problem eventually was found to be a blockage deep in the pump out hose (goes to air vent) and unfortunately the hose was not completely examined on the first visit.The case eventually was assigned to Juan and he diagnosed and fixed the problem quickly. I felt the billing was fair and now the dishwasher is working perfectly.

He didnt try to push the most expensive repair option but offered an honest set of service options, trying to help ensure wed get the best value. Wow, I admit to being blown away. My GE refrigerator stopped cooling and i had a horrible time finding someone who would come to help. My favorite previous repair person wouldnt deal with a GE refrigerator. GE repair service couldnt get anyone out to help for 6 days! Worse, who to know who to trust? After much Internet research, I contacted Appliance Repair Doctor. From the beginning, their response felt very professional, but I was still very nervous.Dr. Allen arrived and went over and above to get my refrigerator repaired, actually searching to find and going to get the part he needed that was with another technician in the area. He was incredibly respectful and very competent. Because of his extra effort to find the part, my fridge is fixed tonight!!!!I am very happy to recommend this company.

When I made the initial appointment to repair my refrigerator which was having issues maintaining the cool temperature, the rep from the call center assured me that I would get a full refund if the technician wasnt able to repair my refrigerator in the end.The technician came out twice to try replacing some parts, but neither part replacements fixed my refrigerator. In fact, the refrigerator actually started spewing warm air after instead of the less cool air that I started with. I had to get a new refrigerator, which was fine.When I called for a refund (several times) though, the reps said that I could only get a partial refund since they couldnt return one of the parts. That was not my assessment to replace that part, and that part did not fix my refrigerator. Super frustrating bait-and-switch experience. They originally charged me ~$250 and said that I could only get refunded ~$100, all with getting a completely broken refrigerator after. Since they also use a call center, I have to await a call back to escalate any issues. I have 8 hours of meetings a day, so I ended up constantly playing a game of telephone.UPDATE: The company got back to me after I posted about my concerns and case here and on Yelp. I appreciated the full refund, but that was a long cycle and ordeal to go through though...

The appliance tech, Michael was very considerate from the very start, asking if he should take off his shoes to walk through my house. His demeanor was friendly but formal. While at the kitchen, he listened to me as I gave him a little history on the unit. He proceeded carefully to move the unit from the cabinet by first unscrewing the bottom front cover, then moving the unit until he could get in the backside. He asked about the sound the unit was making, and we discussed it, having had the unit for 15 years I knew what it sounded like. Then he proceeded to unscrew the backside and told me the fan was working well, but the compressor was dead and advised that I should dispose of the unit instead of having it fixed. He put the unit back and advised me on which brands to look for in terms of their construction, durability, and style. I would recommend this service and this tech highly.

He knew exactly what was wrong with my oven, had a ballpark of how much it would cost to fix, and had great recommendations for next steps. Once the part finally got ordered. ..the professional technician did his job and got the job done! Mis-communication with the sales rep via telephone on free estimate and same day service....I expected this to occur, didnt happen. Our dryer wasnt drying so we called this company. A tech came out during the time stated and fixed the problem. It ended up being an easy fix but he checked everything to make sure the problem was identified correctly. We were just charged for the visit since the fix was easy. The tech was very professional.

I called the ARD because Sears told me their next available appointment was in two weeks after I had already waited two weeks. I noticed everything in my freezer was melting... on the second day, I called the Appliance Repair Doctor, SF... they were able to send a tech out the next day... Tech showed up between the window provided, cool! Stephen Kim was prompt and polite....He worked on the fridge and and when done, he told me that he tried everything and that the parts and labor would cost $1400 and i would be better off getting a new one..... I was content with $70 Tech/Estimate Fee.. great experience...but did not feel comfortable with tech taking down my credit card number and pin code tho....when he already had the iphone square to run my card.... but great experience !!!!

The Appliance Repair Doctor sent an expert to fix my G.E. dishwasher in Menlo Park, and this excellent repair person knew exactly what to do. He ordered a part and installed it efficiently, explaining every step along the way. I was delighted to find someone who could fix my dishwasher in such a skilled manner, and the dishwasher is running fine now -- as good as new.

Competent and friendly

The repair man was on time! Thats a big issue for me. He instantly seemed to understand the problem and began take tools out of his bag and went to work on the dishwasher. The door was removed carefully and then he began to reposition the controls. In about 30-45 minutes it was reassembled and working perfectly. He then suggested a few other things I should watch for in our kitchen. As he left I told him he was a Godsend.

Total scam. Fraudulent billing, terrrible service, no accountability or follow through by company or technicians. Listed address on google is not real. Number is a call center and which forwards you to Nana.io. Technician was a joke. Completely unknowledgable and no-showed on the follow-up (on a 4-hour window). My issue was a refridgerator stopped cooling. I was quoted the a service fee of $90 for the fridge and an extra $45 for a dishwasher I asked to have looked at. On techs initial visit, he said fridge needed new fan and would send quote on parts. Then he just looked at dishwasher, no quote, no approved work. After he left, I was suddnely billed $220 for the dishwasher. ?? Then I received the fridge quote for $440. Thats $660 total of which $220 was already charged to me w/o permission. Tech then spent 5 days ordering parts and finally no-showed on the follow-up to install. Their service window is a massive 4-hours. Thats a long time for me to wait around, plus plenty of time for him to just give me a call, which he never did. So after the no-show, I called a different, local company of a true professional. New company immediately knew the problem and fixed it same day for $280. (It was not the fan, which was totally fine.) I have now called Nanas billing department several times, had the issue escalated, and never heard back. Its been over a week. So these scammers were charging me $660 and would have botched the work, whereas an actual real company fixed the real problem for $280. Stay far away from these guys. Theyve clearly spent a lot of money on Google advertising and thats it. My advice is to use Yelp or similar service of local business, and not Google, to find an actually real, local company (Reliable is not listed on Yelp for instance). An expensive lesson to learn for me.

I called them for a fridge repair Nov. 3. Earliest appointment was Nov. 5., 8am. Repair person showed up at noon, 4 hours late. He ordered a part for delivery to my address and told me to call for an appointment when it arrived in a few days. 2 weeks later (Nov. 19) it has not arrived, so I called. Turns out, the part had been delivered to Appliance Repair Dr., but they never bothered to schedule a follow up. I asked for a same day install, given that their error had left me without a fridge for two weeks. They refused, transferred me to a customer service extension that did not answer.
