I moved to 388 Beale a little over a year ago and so many factors have contributed to making it feel like a home. The staff is extremely responsive to resident needs, while also going above and beyond to develop genuine relationships with all tenants. Amy, at the front desk, is especially warm and has given birthday cards to my mom and asked us specific details about our weekends and vacations. We love the staff so much that we even made them Christmas cookies around the holidays. This is only a few examples of the warm and welcoming dynamic that 388 Beale creates for residents. In addition, I feel very safe in the building with all of the doors that require specific codes for entry. I have never once felt unsafe in my building and know that the staff is very proactive in making sure residents feel this way. Now that amenities are back open in our building (given closures from COVID), I have been able to enjoy the gym, hot tub, BBQ area, and business lounge space and it really adds to the experience. The gym has all the necessary equipment to get your workout in and it is never too crowded. The location is also very nice and is only a short walk from the Embarcadero and ferry terminal. Overall, I would highly recommend 388 Beale to anyone looking to find their home in the financial district. It has everything you need and more and will quickly feel like home to you too.
I have been living here for just under a year now and it has been great! Its a wonderful building with great units and a variety of amenities. The staff has also been nothing short of excellent and I especially love getting to chat with Amy at the front desk! It is also in a great location - close to good food and fun activities - with beautiful views. I would definitely recommend living here!
Weve been living at 388 Beale for about 8 months now, and its been great. The amenities are very comfortable and are well maintained. We havent had any issues with the building nor the apartment so far. The staff is fantastic. Amy and Jay are always there to lend you a hand and take care of residents and the community. This is the best place Ive lived by far :)
Ive lived at 388 Beale for just under a year and it has been one of the most pleasant living experiences for me yet. The building has all of the amenities you could want, the apartments are new and modern (with laundry in unit!) and the location puts you right around great restaurants, the ball park and the ferry building to name a few. Most importantly, the team at 388 Beale has been nothing short of exceptional in making sure we feel at home and are taken care of whenever it is required. Amy has become such a great friend of ours and goes above and beyond when it comes to taking care of us and the community! I would highly recommend this building (and the staff!) to anybody looking for a new experience.
I love love love living here! This is a place where I feel a sense of community. The good people at the frontdesk are always helpful and friendly. Amy goes out of her way to help me when I was sick. JudyMar always comes to fix things very quickly and with confidence. Jaissmile brings joy to everyone. This property is located in a great neighborhood. Many community organized events both virtual and in person. Animal friendly with its own dog park. The layout of the units are spacious and very positive vibes in this property. I see happy neighbors. This property is very well managed and maintained. I love being so close to everything and to the water and the Ferry Building. The best of San Francisco living!
I ran a small event at 388 Beale’s courtyard / clubhouse a few months ago. Space is gorgeous and the staff at the front desk were extremely helpful. Went out of their way to help us print out a sign & everything! Highly recommend this complex to anyone looking. Good vibes and good ppl.
My boyfriend and I moved to this apartment complex during the pandemic - December 2020. Its been about 9 months since we moved here. Our unit has an AMAZING view of the Bay Bridge. To this day... Im still and probably will never get tired of it. This building is pretty clean for the most part. We always order packages and our packages have never been stolen here so thats a plus! Great service. The community staff (especially Amy and Jai) are so wonderful. I also want to give a big shout out to AMY - She is one of the nicest people Ive ever met and has made our whole experience at 388 better than it already is. Shes freaking awesome!!
I enjoy living at 388 very much and will highly recommend the building to anyone looking for an apartment. The premises is well maintained. The staff are very professional. Maintenance requests get answered right away. Keep up the good work 388 staff.
My husband and I have been living at 388 Beale St. for about a year now. We are both new to the city and cannot say enough good things about this apt complex! We feel so lucky to have found it. The location is unbeatable (short walk to the Embarcadero, Woodlands Grocery Store across the St...not to mention the amazing view from our apt) The building is always so clean and the 388 Beale Team is top notch. Amy (one of the property representatives) has made our stay here so enjoyable - she will go out of her way to help you with whatever you need, and you can tell that she genuinely cares about the residents and the property. I always joke around and say that she has become like family to us at this point. Thank you Amy for everything that you do for us!
Love staying at 388 Beale. The staff is very friendly and helping! A lovely apartment building to stay in!
Best things about this property:24/7 gymFast maintenance request on mobile app and things are fixed very fast and maintenance is very professional!Helpful front desk always help me find packagesThis place feels like a community unlike other apartment buildings in SFPlenty of common space outside within the property to stretch and get some quite timeEveryone is friendly and great at the front desk: Jai, JudyMar, and especially Amy who is a huge part of the community and always going beyond to help residents.Highly recommend this place if you have animals or enjoy the Embarcadero scene.
Great location, great amenities and large apartments! Amy is always very friendly and helpful!
Absolutely LOVE 388 Beale street and the entire staff, especially Amy and Jai! Nothing beats the views here.
I just moved to 388 Beale 3 days ago and absolutely loving it here. The front desk and leasing staff are amazing. I dealt mostly with Brandon and Sharon, they both are wonderful ... So hospitable, welcoming and always there to help. The amenities and the building are well maintained and my experience dealing with everyone has been great. I am so glad I chose 388 Beale as home. I wish there was an option to give more than 5 Stars to this lovely place and wonderful staff at 388 Beale :)
I would like to express my gratitude to the member of the maintenance group - here at 388 Beale - JudieHe is a very professional and one of the finest members of 388 Beale team and also he is a great person.I have lived here many years and Judie has never turned my requests down or acted in a negative manner.Thank you Judie!!! I appreciate your help and professionalism!
I lived at 388 Beale from Nov 2015 through Dec 2019. The first 2 years were okay but conditions declined thereafter. Here are some of the issues encountered:CommunicationCommunication from and with the leasing office is abysmal. Limited notification of major construction plans and progress, temporary leasing office locations for months, fire alarm testing for a year, on-going water shutoffs, and even move-out instructions. No move-out checklist was provided. No walk through inspection was scheduled. Then absurd carpet cleaning, apartment cleaning, and pet treatment charges appeared on my ledger after move-out. Corporate withheld my security deposit then demanded hundreds more in payment. All surprise charges could have been mitigated with better communication at move-out.-Apartment Cleaning 155.00-Carpet Cleaning 60.00-Pet Treatment 50.0030 days notice and completed notice to vacate forms were given to 388 but never acknowledged or processed until I called 3 days in a row and left several voicemails.Communication with corporate billing was equally frustrating with cranky representatives unable to explain move-out cleaning charge policies and long lapses for providing invoices.MaintenanceThere was a refrigerator that malfunctioned four floors above that resulted in 5 weeks of construction to fix my flooded apartment. The quality of work was extremely low and I even caught a contractor, on camera, sweeping construction dust particles into the carpet rather than vacuuming.Fire alarm system upgrade/testing had been ongoing for 1 year (Nov 2018-Nov 2019)A North Tower elevator light was out for 3+ months (July 2019-October 2019).Constant construction for 3 years (dog area, spa, grill, business center, leasing office, and gym) and at early hours. Hardwood flooring was installed above my apartment as early as 8:30am during a long holiday weekend.Recycling area in the garage is always messy with non-collapsed boxes and items (primarily furniture) that are not recyclable.Trash smell outside the leasing office and gym is almost constant in the evening and night time.Hot water inconsistencies. Dangerously hot in the early morning hours. Then tepid during the daylight hours. No air conditioning despite 92 degrees in my apartment and oddly-shaped windows that dont easily allow for ventilation. Climate change has extended the two weeks of extreme heat in 2016 to three unbearable months in 2019. A retrofit air conditioning system needs to be made a priority, especially for east facing apartments getting extreme sun in the morning. These apartments cannot be called luxury homes without adequate HVAC. I had to keep three fans running non-stop in summer and two area heaters in winter because of the high-voltage heaters costing waaaay too much money to operate. Anticipate $400 per month to stay comfortable using the thermostat, seriously. The Smart Rent door access system is awful, both software and hardware execution. The building exterior lacks curb appeal with harsh concrete facade, dying trees along the sidewalk, an unmanaged smelly egress area to the right, and homeless individuals camping under the bridge to the left. Nearly every morning you can be assured that the garbage or recycling you carefully bagged and disposed of will end up in the street after the dumpsters are rummaged and their contents strewn about (beware of identity theft!!).CommunityActive Building, the community website, is censored and thereby pointless.Friends moved out due to high rent increases. No continuity of relationships made in the community.Frequent employee turnover with no notification of their departures and replacements (Curry, Cece, and Jonathon).AffordabilityLease renewal increase of $6000 (12.5%) year-over-year is not reasonable for a classic 1-bedroom home with no air conditioning and water issues in a city and neighborhood seeing declines.SecurityBikes stolen from the garage with no notification, no warnings, and no mitigation. Residents live in fear.
We lived at 388 Beale street for 6 months while relocating to San Francisco and we highly recommend it. We had to rent our unit sight unseen as we were abroad which can be very stressful. But the apartment was lovely, the gym was great and never crowded, and the staff were so sweet, welcoming, and really helpful. The little dog park was a life saver for early morning and late night dog walks and the location made it easy to get anywhere in the city. All in all, this building and its community were just what we needed.
Just moved in and got excellent timely maintenance performed stat! Truly refreshing to see this level of professionalism!
Ive really enjoyed living in 388 Beale for the last 2+ years and would recommend it to others.Pros: Jai, Amy and William are the absolute best and make you feel like family from the first day. They really make the building feel like home and make you feel well taken care of :) Also, the building has a great location and proximity to the Embarcadero and Ferry Building. Building and common areas are kept clean. Any maintenance issues in your unit are usually taken care of and fixed the same day!Cons: Weve had some issues with smooth transitions/upgrades to different apartment units, high increases in rent once the lease is up, as well as some issues with the garbage chute leaking smell into our hallway (south tower). Generally though, the team is always willing to find solutions to problems and get things fixed.
As soon as I entered 388 Beale, the energy of the receptionist was extremely friendly she guided me for the entire tour I should check out . As soon as I reached the 5 th floor, the ambiance was pleasent and calming and as I reached my house 1707 I was mind blowned with the view and the price Im getting the apartment . Lisa helped me alot by replying to all my emails about the leasing, what makes this my home is the people working at 388 . The energy, calm and friendly environment made me choose 388 Beale community and I love it!
DO NOT LIVE IN 388 BEALE if you you are looking for a LUXERY Apartment and want to get a storage units and a parking space for your car! Storages all ways get broken into (multiply times) and they didnt do anything to increase the security.Staffs there are friendly and great but always short on staffs (UDR needs to hire more people to cover other employees shift when they are gone-dont be cheap when renter are paying for the LUXERY PRICE).They are promoting this as a Luxury Apartment. Im not sure how it is a luxury apartments when staff are always not available and the storage always got broken-in.Also, if you still decided to live there, remember DONT clean the apartment when you move out, because they will still charge you a cleaning fee.1- stars for the apartment and management, 5 starts for the staffs services.Good Luck.
Huge apartments, thick walls, balconies, tons of windows, great views, fast elevators, friendly staff, a decent amenity floor, proximity to the Embarcadero--the list of things I like about Beale goes on and on. This is a really great place to live.
STAY AWAY! I lost $600 out of the blue by just applying and getting approved from 388 Beale. Our experience with UDR Management has been extremely awful once we asked to withdraw our application after only 3 days after getting approved and not even signing the lease!Their policies are extremely strict and all-around messed up that I do not recommend anyone dealing with them at any time, let alone during these unprecedented times!READ YELP REVIEWS about extremely frequent water shutoffs, the homeless navigation center built next block, lack of security issues in the building, and did I mention continuous water shutdowns? Google reviews are misleadingly high for the building, I recommend anyone reading all the reviews thoroughly before making any decision. (The only good reviews are about the building staff - who are separate from UDR management), and apart from that its difficult to find any positive review. We had to cancel our application for entirely different reasons, but I feel like we dodged a bullet!
I have been living here almost a year and am quite happy so far. Amy and Jai are extremely helpful and always greet me with BIG smile. Whenever I had problems or something to fix in the unit, they tried to solve it in a day.
I lived here for about 2 years, and this review is long overdue. At first everything was fine, the only complaint was cheap materials and things keep breaking like toilet, washing machine and dish washer. The second year they increased the rent by 400 but no maintenance or replacement of items that was malfunctioning. We tolerated but it turned to be nightmare very quickly. My apartment was broken into and very valuable jewelry was stolen and it broke my heart. Kayla(management) was uncooperative and rude even to talk to us and help us solve the crime with the police. She stood me up multiple time after making appointment to meet with her and I had to come early from my work but was notified she went home. I believe she is incompetent manager who doesn’t know how to manage. Soon after we came home one night to find our apartment flooded And all our belongings socked ! My cat was injured badly and lots of items was lost. And later notified it was the toilet broken ( we were asking for permanent replacement) That was the last straw for me we run from that place. I feel like security is a joke and they only care about the money!
Great apartment, great amenities, but the real gem of this place is the staff. Particularly Jai, who is a wave of positive energy and goes the extra mile for residents - he along with the rest of the staff make this place incredible, they really have your back
This building is really a standout. The apartments are extremely spacious and well-designed, the amenities are incredible and the staff is the best Ive ever had in an apartment building (especially Jai!). Super easy to get things delivered and move in. Love it!
All the Staff here are really friendly and helpful. Everyone seems to be in a good mood and smiles often. The building is really nice too. I mostly interact with the Concierges, Jai and Esmeralda, and they are both excellent at their job. Great at multi-tasking while staying positive and engaged with whoever they are interacting with. I only come here to walk a dog but they make me feel welcome every time. Everyone here is awesome.
Living here was really pleasant my first three months, but the quality of life at 388 Beale has been going down consistently for most of 2019. Between the consistent issues with alarms, water going out almost weekly, and nonsensical $700+ electricity bills, I cant recommend anyone reside here at this time.I left a more detailed timeline on Yelp if youre interested.
Amazing people working in this building. So generous and they are there for you in anyway. You feel at home
The leasing team and concierge made our move very smooth. We feel at home :)
This building is amazing! Its in a great area, close to transportation & restaurants, beautifully maintained, and has top-notch amenities. But what really makes this building special are the people who work here. From the managers to the concierge to the maintenance staff- everyone is incredibly nice, helpful and friendly. Its a wonderful place to live!
We stayed at our 388 Beale apartment lesser than our intended 1 year lease. But the 6-7 months we stayed here was the best experience we have had so far in apartment complex. I mean it because my husband and I have moved over 8-9 apartments over the past several years. Everyone at apartment leasing office and extended staff is super friendly and helpful. Our initial point of contact to get the apartment viewing and finalized was Kayla and she is absolutely the best person. She is extremely sweet and very helpful. We wanted the apartment on the 17th floor with a great view and she was sure to communicate with us about that one when it was available and also adjusted the dates to help us out. On our move-in day, she was held up but her associate John was there to help us with anything and everything. He made sure to check in with us before we moved our stuff in and did a thorough walk through of the place and was at our disposal if we needed anything. The concierge Jai is again another sweet heart, he always welcomes you with the biggest smile, is super courteous and always there to help. The maintenance staff (their name escapes my mind currently) were also a great help, they go above and beyond every time I made any service request. We were initially skeptical of our decision to stay in the city as it can get expensive and we were not sure if it would be worth it. But our stay at 388 Beale will always be the most treasured time.
My husband and I have been living here for about 3 years and absolutely love it. Our apartment is everything we need and the 388 Beale team is more than we could imagine. Warm and Friendly (some feel like family), attentive to detail and willing to help as soon as we raise our hand. Ive been renting in SF for a decade and 388 has been the best experience by far.
Pros: maintenance staff and concierges are terrificCons: not easy to transfer to another UDR property, fireplace doesn’t work, no air conditioning, Brown water coming from water source. Also forgot about the heat. It’s on some crazy dial system that costs a fortune when you run it and takes forever to beat up
This place is amzing every one is so kind and very helpful the fire place is the best part of this bulding for me.
We had the worst experience with this leasing office. We had a tour and was told that we could secure the price as long as we finished the application online. The first apartments price bumped up immediately after the tour; the second apartment which we immediately applied for online was said to have shown a wrong price, and our application was canceled. Seems like they just bait you with fake low prices online. We were already very annoyed by that, AND we received a move-out bill. Emailed the agents and nobody replies. Kayla the manager didnt even spend time reading our email other than saying they couldnt lease the apartment to us. WOW.
Two balconies with dramatic bridge views, hot tub, great location in walking distance to everything... what’s not to like? Ask for Kayla - she’s super-friendly.
William is the best concierge ever!! He always answers our request super fast and is the most efficient handyman ever! He is excellent in multitasking and getting to the root of the problem.
Watch out for the night staff. She brings in people to vacant units and does things that shouldnt be done. Little Asian woman at the desk.
I lived here in Apartment 1010 in the year 2004. I was in the elevator one day with Larry Flyntt and a couple of his Hustler Bunnies. The lady named Cheryl was so refined and beautiful I asked her out and she accepted. She loved cannabis and Ken Estes had plenty I worked with him at a Grandaddy Purp dispensary in Oakland, Richmond and The City . WE had a small party twice in the common area and it was great. The Avalon staff is real friendly and they keep out of your business unless asked to facilitate something. They knew what we were doing. I LOVED the place, so modern and bright. The gym is nice and clean. LIfe has its ups and downs I went from living AT Beale Street to living ON Beale street when I ended up homeless after an illness . They stored something for me for over three months FREE. We had a deal with our lease for being disabled. I am a disabled Veteran Yes they are friendly. I am living in an apartment again but not such a great view as apartment 1010 at Beale Street PEACE
The staff is terrific. Jai is one of the most wonderful men I have ever met and takes amazingly good care of the residents, above and beyond the call of duty. We are very lucky to have him at 388 Beale.
I moved in about 5 months ago. It is the best place Ive seen in San Francisco! Very modern. Has wonderful amenities, is in a perfect location and great neighborhood. Apartments are large and well maintained. The only disadvantage is the construction noise, but if you have a 9-5 job it will not bother you.To date this is the best place Ive lived in.
My wife held her bridal shower in the Social Lounge and it was great. The staff was super friendly, the space was really clean and modern and comfortable, it was conveniently close to downtown, we would love living here.
Been a resident here for 15 years. Management, when they follow policy, is very good. Each condo has character of its own; I have never seen any appartment that was exactly the same. The aminities are beautiful, private and quaint . Im happy to call this Condo community my home!!!!
Building is lovely, however the UDR management company gives no respect to its tenants. Due to an auto-pay issue, a late fee was assessed to my account. 4 emails, 3 voicemails later to 3 staff members and no reply or acknowledgement of their faulty system. Shame that such a small fee and a lack of attention to detail can put such a damper on my sentiment.
Such an eyesore. It has such a poorly maintained exterior, I can’t believe the good reviews on here. I was shocked as I walked up and saw how ghetto it looks. This area is nice and the surrounding apartments are gorgeous, so I have no idea why anyone would choose to live here.
I’ve been living here for 10 years now and they continue to improve the service and amenities. I love each any every staff member here like they are family. It really feels like HOME.
Today I got my carpet clean from the service offering by 388 beale apt. Today Willam came on time as I requested the time window and did good job to clean the carpet for the leaving room. Im very happy with the service and price. Thank you William for great work.
The Beale community is very nice and unique. The courtyard took my fiancée and me by surprise and was pleasant and beautiful. The amenities are nice and the staff is cordial and informative. Zac especially was patient with our many questions. Thanks!
The staff is amazing and the building is even better. I have had no complaints, concerns, or issues in my time living here. Nothing short of excellent.
I have lived at 388 Beale since November 2012.Building: The amenities are great. The building is very new and feels very new.Staff: The leasing staff is super friendly and easy to work with. The concierge staff is even friendlier and now know myself and my roommates by name. They really try to go out of their way to help you and are happy to do so.Location: The location is very convenient to financial district and public transport. It is also very close to the freeway entrance which makes driving very easy. This is one of the few places in SF where it is not difficult to find parking. The only drawback to the area is that there are not a lot of small businesses (i.e. Ice Cream shops, cafes, etc) especially late at night. There is also no outdoor green space near by (though that may change once the new transbay terminal is completed)Neighbors / Community: People are friendly. Good mix of young professionals, families, older folks, etc. People hold the elevators for one another, say hi to each other, etc,.Price: Not cheap, and not rent-controlled, which is kind of annoying but it is what it is.
Love living here! Great views, friendly staff, and convenient location.
I have been living at 388 Beale for almost 3 years now and it has been wonderful! The staff here is incredibly friendly.I had a blistering sunburn, had slathered on aloe and I did everything I could to make sure my lunch was delivered to my door, tipped extra, gave clear instructions etc but he refused to come upstairs. One of the concierge staff members (Jai Meiers) insisted on bringing the food up for me, I was ready to wash up and go downstairs and he made my day much better. He really went out of his way and I really really appreciate it.If my toilets clogged, or my sinks overflowing or the storm door is broken, the maintenance staff always has my back. When we need to discuss lease renewal, everyone is all ears. Want to hold a package or pick it up whenever? Theyre at our service.Thank you to everyone on the 388 Beale team!
Pros:- The location is great; you can walk to work and most forms of public transportation. (They are building a homeless navigation center down the street where Beale meets the Embarcadero though, so thats something to consider.)- The residents are diverse, from young working professionals, to retired folks, to low-income and handicapped residents (there are extra wide doors and ramps, although getting in and out via the lobby where this is a step is a hassle, so most people just enter/exit via the garage).- The staff is GREAT! Professional, friendly, and on top of it. If youve lost a package or need a lightbulb changed, theyll fix it asap.Cons:- The building is old for the neighborhood and not as tall as the surrounding buildings, so most views look into other buildings. The cost is comparable to some of the newer buildings, though.- The layout is a bit funky. Nobody uses the lobby because theres a step down to the exit (which just exists into the garage) and the lobby elevator only goes to the 5th floor, so most people enter/exit through the car garage entrance. It makes for an awkward invitation home everyday, but you get used to it.- There are endless water/pipe issues. There have been probably 5 water shutoffs within the past year, stretching many hours (sometimes even a full day) each time.- The water pressure is non-existent. Unless you enjoy showering under a trickle, then this apt is for you.- There is no A/C, but there is global warming. Some of the heaters are also old-school contraptions that take forever to heat up.- The elevators are constantly broken/under maintenance or reserved for moving. Guests/couriers can never figure out how to get to your unit, because the lobby elevator only goes to the 5th floor.- Some part of the shared facilities is always under renovation. First, it was the deck/hot tub area. Then it was the BBQ area. Now its the business lounge, which has been taped off for months with no opening date in sight.- The 5th floor outdoor area is in a wind tunnel, which means its ALWAYS cold to BBQ or sit outside underneath the seemingly nice cabana areas. There are fire pits though, but they always smell like leaking gas. (There is no rooftop deck or anything like that in this building.)- The indoor lounge is always booked for some professional-looking/classlike event when you want to hang out and play pool. There is no other indoor lounge.- The package lockers are sandwiched between the trash and recycling, which means if you have a lot of packages, you better be good at holding your breath.- The 5th floor in the south tower also always smells like trash.- People treat the loading dock/garage entrance like a large-item dumpster. There are always sofas/mattresses hanging out there, and oh, there was recently a bed bugs scare.- There is always construction happening, so one day theres hammering, and the next day, theres drilling. They seem to be updating the units (as some have very old kitchen appliances and materials.)- Beale St. and Folsom St. are always under construction. There is always drilling outside.
Echoing Theo, quality of living here has steadily declined since I originally moved here in 2018. Frequent water shutoff issues, false fire alarms, etc.Its already insanely expensive to live here and Im moving out because the absolute best offer they could provide was a $300 per month price increase, which is absolutely insane. Unlike a lot of the other buildings in the area, this is not a high rise and is a lot older. Not to mention the homeless shelter being built literally 1 block away from 388 Beale (just Google SF Homeless Shelter Bay Bridge).Moving out has been an absolute nightmare as well. Getting a hold of somebody to give my 30 day notice was extremely difficult - left voicemails, emails, with no response. Had to go in to the leasing office to find somebody in person and its been weeks later and I still havent been sent the move out instructions. Left multiple emails and had correspondence w/ more than 1 person form the leasing team, which is absolutely ridiculous for just moving out.Overall, its still a nice building, is conveniently located and I love the staff (Jai is great in particular) who are all super nice, but not at these prices at all.
We were in temporary housing here for the first month we were in the city. This apartment complex has its pros and cons but the pros out weigh the cons. Beale is close to everything, shops, Ferry Building, coffee houses, restaurants. The building is also very secure, you need a fab to get into everywhere. From the outer fence to our apartment you need to use your fab 3 times to finally get up to the elevator to get to the apartments. Some would say its overkill but I just look at it as being secure. They front desk staff are very friendly and have coffee in the morning. The leasing staff will bend over backwards for you, I know its just because they are trying to rent you an apartment, but it also has to do with the fact that they like their job. Even though you are living on top of one another, the building is pretty quiet. I would definitely rent from them, but the apartments are pretty expensive (the one con).
- Convenient location- Large 1br units for downtown SF- Friendliest, most professional staff ever!
Wonderful staff, great location, and close to all forms of public transportation.
Ive lived here for nearly 2 years now, heres my review!STAFFThe staff and team are exceptional -- in particular, I love bumping into Jai, who is always extremely cheerful and helpful! That guy makes me smile every time I see him. Zach, Cece, & Kayla are also nice to see around.AMENITIESThe amenities are amazing. They re-built the barbecue pit in early 2018, and the jacuzzi in 2017 - both look new and very luxury. I use the jacuzzi all the time (usually around sunset is the best), and barbecue pit which has free gas provided. Its great to just buy meat from the Whole Foods (10 min walk) and throw it on the grill for myself or with guests. The gym has everything you could want, except a squat rack (HOPE UDR CAN CONSIDER ADDING IT!). The lounge is also nice with pool table, TV, and kitchen, although I rarely use it.APARTMENTI have a 1BR/1BA with stunning view of the Bay Bridge. The build quality of the unit is very nice and feels new. I love the giant sink size and the stainless steel kitchen appliances. Theres mood lighting and ceiling to floor windows. The rent is ridiculous, but this is rincon hill in San Francisco... Im paying $4200/mo (before utils) at this time.COMMUNITYThe people here are generally nice. I periodically have elevator conversations and meet others by using the jacuzzi. Never had an issue with anyone else living here.
388 Beale is a great place to live in the Rincon Hill area. Not just because the location is close to downtown, the Embarcedero and trains, but because the staff working here is so wonderful. This is my first time living in a high rise apartment where you really rely on the staff of the building. You see the front desk, maintenance staff and leasing staff every day and the way they act can make or break an apartment. Everyone working at 388 Beale is awesome. They remember your name, always smile and always help. Jai at the front desk is unparalleled in his kindness and hard work. He truly loves what he does. Judymar, Curry and all the maintenance staff that have helped me with minor issues in the apartment have been amazing. I feel comfortable with them and know I can rely on them. There isnt a day that I dont see the staff here working, cleaning, helping a tenant, unloading packages and so on. They keep this building running and keep their tenants happy and cared for!
Amazing experience living here. The staff is friendly and always helping.
Ive been living at 388 Beale for a year now. It has been an absolutely incredible experience. What stands out the most to be is the team and staff that service the building and tenants. Theyre all incredibly kind, welcoming, nice, and hard working. They go above and beyond to accommodate us and really make the place feel like home. I wish I knew everyones name so I could thank them for their incredible work and kindness. The concierge staff is super welcoming and friendly and always brighten my day. In particular, Jai is one of the most incredible human beings Ive ever met in my life. I am grateful to see him almost everyday - his lively spirit and wonderful personality bring so much happiness and joy to my life. Aloha, Jai! Jai - thanks for making this year truly special.Kayla Louis is another shining star of the team. Shes been incredibly helpful, straightforward, and detail orientated and made our transition to the community truly exceptional. Shes a star and Im grateful to have worked with such a professional and kind person to find a community that best fit our needs. The apartment is beautiful, clean, and modern with amazing bay views. The amenities are incredible - any friend that visits reminds me of how fortunate we are. Theres a spa, hot tub, pool table, business center, grill, comfortable seating indoors / out doors, and more. Seriously - the perfect place to live in San Francisco. 388 Beale Team - Thank you!!!
In terms of corporate housing, 388 Beale is great. Located just a few blocks from Google and Gaps offices and one block from a dog park, this building has garage parking complete with Zipcars, laundry in unit, (small) balcony, sweeping views of the city, a gym, high speed internet - we are super happy with it.
Kaylas the best! For real though
Lived here back in 2000 to 2001. Great apartment good size, great view, BEST parking space right between two Ferraris lol.. easy walk to work, bart, or just to jog the embarcadero. Nice gym usually had it all to myself nice recreation room many nights playing pool. Cookies! Each Night When I Got My mail. Nice temp office space too! Highly recommend my apartment was a corporate rental so I was spoiled as it was fully furnished with maid service.
Well maintained apartments, awesome views.
The complex advertises that its in the Financial District. Its not.
`The set has everything you need, it is well located
