Update:04/07/2021As much as i would like to give this place a good review bcoz of a good management. It is extremely extremely LOUD. Since i moved to my new unit the noise has been worse in the morning.Recology comes every Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8:00 AM and the noise from Moving the Dumpsters is extremely loud at 5:00AM to 6:00 AM.Also be ready for the noise of street cleaning as it is scheduled from Monday to Friday between 12 to 6 AM.Having a good sound sleep here is next to impossible. While the new dual pane windows should have been installed on the units facing street bcoz of the noise, they were installed in the interior units of the apartment where it is less noisy. If you want a peaceful unit here, dont get one facing the street. Any street.Old:I moved to Northpoint Apartment in Summer 2020. The one thing i wanna highlight is the management here is highly responsive. Johnny, Alvin and AJ all have been helpful while living here.Pros:Even though the community is old, they have done a good job with renovations. The apartment itself is pretty spacious and they do a good job of cleaning the apartment before a new tenant moves in.All concerns or requests are answered by the management, they keep you updated on the status of your work orders or any issues you have after move in.The apartments are cheaper and safer than the surrounding communities. The apartments are 2 block away from trader joes and safeway to get groceries, great if you dont have a car.Location is close visitor spots like Pier 39, Ghirardelli square, Embarcadero, Coit tower etc. They are doing their best to keep every one safe during the pandemic by putting up instruction posters around the community and asking the tenants to follow CDC guidelines.Cons:Because the windows are single pane, yes it gets loud. After talking to management, they informed me they are working on installing double pane windows which will be a great relief whenever it happens.Parking is easy on the streets but the chances of a break in are higher as there is a lot of foot traffic around the apartment as being in between all the visitor spots.I have seen some homeless and anti social people around the community though the management and security does their best to keep it to minimum. It could also be due to pandemic.Overall it has been a pleasant experience living here.

Building needs better security. There have been reports of multiple break-ins into apartment units as well as stolen packages from the lobby. No one feels safe living here. Also building has a major issue with residents smoking in their apartments even though it is not allowed, causing hallways and other apartments to smell like cigarette smoke. Building management needs to enforce the non smoking policy. I worry about my health because of all the second hand smoke in the building.

Love living here! From the minute I met the property management team to the day I moved out of this apartment, everything has been a first class experience. Johnny has been so incredible with any request I have needed and has gone above and beyond to make sure my time spent here was great.Nowhere else in the city can you beat this location, price, and high-quality spacious rooms. The location is perfect right next to a shopping center with anything youd need, and I have found zero tourist annoyance even though I thought that would be extremely hectic being so close to Fishermans Wharf. Also I am able to walk to work in SOMA or I can take a 20-minute cable car ride. All of my appliances seem to have been brand new, and I never had a problem with them. I love going out by the pool that is enclosed in the courtyard so it is great for blocking any wind and is usually about 5-7 degrees warmer.Highly suggest living here I have had nothing but a wonderful experience!

I never write reviews but the poor mgmt team, loud/dirty courtyard construction, and monthly overbillings for things that never happened (lockouts, etc.) made want to warn potential tenants. Its not a bad location but the hassle of dealing with all the nonsense is definitely not worth it.
