Fiona and Colin are amazing! We recently moved from overseas and needed to purchase a home for our family. They worked with us to find a great home in the area we had been wanting our daughter to go to school, even with the craziness of the market. They went above and beyond to get us quality virtual showings and were very responsive with our questions despite us being halfway around the globe. They were flexible and went out of their way to meet all of our needs, and even followed up to make sure we were loving our new home and gave us a load of resources to optimize our experience after our purchase was finalized. They are true experts and professionals and I wouldnt recommend anyone else to guide you through such an important purchase.

We found our dream house. We asked Fiona if it was possible to put in an offer contingent on the sale of our current home. Six weeks later we were in the home of our dreams and our other house was sold. They made the difficult task selling a home and buying a new home a breeze. Thank you Colin and Fiona!

Fiona and Colin were recommended by a friend, and they knows the real estate industry pretty well. Their recommendations for depersonalizing our home before listing it was not something we thought of doing, but after rationalizing the facts, we felt it was a good recommendation if we wanted to sell our home quickly. 3 weeks on the market and we received multiple offers. We were impressed that this married couple worked so well together, cause I sure cant do that with my wife - LOL! Btw, I do love my wife, just saying.

Part II – Part I was posted by my husband, Jason Smith, but because of a character limit on reviews, we had to break the review into two parts. The review is long because it tells a story about a chain of events that happened with three different properties, which Fiona and her husband, Colin. helped us with. That’s why the review is so long, but we felt it was important not to leave anything out. Now back to the review . . .So, in the fall of 2017, while we were living in an apartment, we began looking for a property in Spring Valley, La Mesa and El Cajon (But she can help in all of San Diego County). Once I had narrowed my list of properties that met our needs, Fiona took us on showings and after looking at 3 properties in person, and countless more online, we made an offer on a place that was a bit of a fixer upper. We never, ever would have considered a fixer upper before, if not for the experience of selling the rental that we had sold 4 months before, with Fionas help. With her help, we had the confidence and the resources (network of people) that gave us the courage to tackle a house that needed a facelift on the inside (Flooring, Paint, Countertops, and more).Lo and behold, it turned out that the seller of the house had major financial hardships with the HOA and the IRS. I will not go into the details of what exactly was wrong, as a courtesy to the seller, but heres the key point that you, the reader, needs to know: Despite all of the hurdles, and even though we gave the seller a longer escrow time frame (45 days, vice 30), it still took numerous calls on Fionas part to the sellers agent, bank, HOA, and even the IRS, to finally get the transaction to go through and for us to finally have the house. We used a VA loan again and Fiona was there with us, every step of the way, not only assisting us, but assisting the seller’s agent, who needed her help to make it all work, too. Now, with all that being said, after we purchased the property, we were able to once again reach out to all of the people who helped us sell the rental property and they came in and fixed up our new place, to make it presentable and no longer a place that we would be embarrassed to have guests visit. My wife and I will forever be in debt to Fiona for all her help with the sale of two houses and the purchase of one more. So, if you read this far, then you know what is coming next: We cannot recommend Fiona enough to you, especially if you are a military servicemember, past or present, who is using a VA Loan to buy a property. We promise you, you will not find a better agent in the San Diego County area than Fiona Theseira. Plus, now her husband Colin, has been taken under her wing and is training on all the ins and outs of the business, too. So really, you are getting two agents for the price of one, if you make her your agent. Again, I cannot recommend them enough and would highly encourage you to reach out to them for all your real estate investment and purchasing needs. We promise you, you will NOT be sorry, ever, if they are your agents.

Part I – Review is broken in to two parts because of character limit restrictions in place.Approximately 8 years ago, in 2010, my wife and I were doing our taxes at one of those places that seemingly spring up out of nowhere, every year at tax time. During our time with the tax consultant, we happened to mention that we were wanting to sell out townhome, but we were upside down on it (owed more than it was worth, because of the housing crash in 2008/9). The tax consultant referred us to Fiona Theseira, because not only did she have experience with short sales, she also had experience with military servicemembers, like me. Our hope at that time was to be able to sell that house and then eventually buy a new place.Unfortunately, because of certain work requirements and constraints that I was under with the military, doing a short sale proved to be a bad idea. Even still, Fiona never complained when we ended up taking our property off the market after a week and having received 8 different offers in just a week of showings. Three years later, we considered trying again and Fiona was there to assist us once again. Unfortunately, we ended up still not being able to sell at that time, and again, Fiona never complained, but tried to help us as much as she reasonably good. We ended up renting out that place and then bought a new place in Riverside county, for which Fiona referred us to another agent because it was out of her normal area (that was in 2013).Fast forward to 2017 and the townhouse that we had been upside down on for so long was finally above water and we were able to finally sell it and get the albatross off of our backs. Unfortunately, the renters had done us no favors in taking care of the place and we ended up having to put approximately 20K in repairs and modernization to get it ready to sell. Thankfully, FIona was there to guide us through the process and knew handymen, painters, counter top experts, flooring companies, and they all helped us, at a fair and reasonable price, to renovate the entire place and give it a much-needed facelift. When my wife and I got scared, Fiona was the one who made sure that things continued until the end when it was time to finally put the property up for sale. 3 days after putting it on the market, we received an offer for our asking price! And 30 days later, the house was officially sold, and we owed it all to Fiona. However, thats not where the story ends...We still had a house in Riverside county that we needed to sell, as we desperately wanted to move back to the San Diego area. I had been driving 75 miles each way to work in Point Loma and it had just become too much and had mentally and physically worn me down to the point where I just couldnt take it anymore. We found an agent who also happens to be a neighbor in the area, who would help us sell our house. However, although he was nice, he just didnt have the experience that Fiona had with working with Navy Federal Credit Union and VA loans (the buyers were also military using a VA loan). Fiona was the one who guided the other agent when he didnt know what to do, when issues with the buyers and buyers agent came up.You see, not only has Fiona been an agent for a while, I found out at this time that she also used to be an underwriter, who also processed real estate transaction paperwork for approximately 20 years! So when issues with the buyers loan paperwork arose, it was Fiona who talked with my agent, the buyers agent, and both the banks to get things pushed through. Her expertise is unmatched and unparalleled. So, due in very large part to her help, our house in Riverside closed on time, and we were finally free of both properties. Even more importantly, we were finally able to buy a new place back in the San Diego area, which would accommodate our family, which had grown from two people to five. Of course, there was only one agent we trusted to help us buy a new place, and of course, it was Fiona.

Fiona is super easy to work with, and is extremely knowledgeable about Bay Park in specific. She has a background in finance, which really helps when you are looking at buying a home. Thanks FIona!
