COMMUNITY FRAUD ALERT--CONSUMER BEWARE: It seems that Lubrimart-Tunemart (5-star Google rated) located on 4101 Convoy Street, San Diego CA 92111 has taken up the practice of Charging the customer for Oil and Filter exchange services but is NOT doing the work. Case in point: Yesterday (10/28/20) I purchased a new Fram Oil Filter from Poway Walmart for my Nissan Juke along w/5 Qt.s of Full Synthetic Oil and brought them both to Lubrimart earlier today expecting to get a routine oil and filter (my materials) exchange. I paid $30 for labor (np) and was Reassured (see lubrimart invoice) that the oil filter had been changed. When I got home and reviewed video footage (dont ask... more to come), I discovered the oil filter had never been handed to the technician to complete the oil/filter exchange. After reviewing footage one hour later, I purchased a New Oil Filter (Mobil-1) from OReillys Auto Care for the same vehicle and had the cars oil and filter changed (31 miles between oil/filter change) by a reliable shop/mechanic. When I got home, I had friend cut open the filter that had been removed by the second shop to verify what earlier video footage confirmed. Pictures posted below (including/dated receipts w/labor Invoices document todays services) w/descriptive captions. I will be following up with the Bureau of Automotive Repair and sharing the response & adding this material to the list of short videos depicting the role government employment plays in deceiving the public. I will also be posting on Yelp! (Timing promises aside, I will post links when the material is ready for viewing...)

Great place! They are fast and friendly, 10-15 minutes in and out. They do the job right in front of you so you can see what’s going on. I always bring my own oil and filter, so they just charge for labor. Other places will still charge for oil and filter regardless. They also top off fluids. They don’t try to up-charge or say I need this or that costly repairs. They have Mann filters for my bmw so I don’t have to worry if I forget my filter, which I did once. The only possible issue is that they have two tandem bays so there might be a bit of a longer wait, but it’s just drain and fill oil changes so it’s really not much of a wait.

Great service at a reasonable cost. More importantly they are honest and reliable.

I have taken my cars and my childrens cars here for many years. They do great work quickly and dont try to upsell all the time like the other oil change shops.I highly recommend.
