I appreciate conversation and precise nail artistry from the employees, not a commonality at many nail establishments. They were actually closing and still took us in for service without feeling rushed.Located in the 🎯 shopping plaza on Mira Mesa Blvd with ample parking and ADA compliant.Didnt a manicure and pedicure used to cost 20 bucks? Where have I been? Inflation is a mofo. At least I look like a nail-a-nista 💃.

This was the first time I have been to this nail salon and will surely be the last as well. To start off with, I was guaranteed a 10 minute wait, it ended up being about 25 minutes. While I was there they had multiple customers walk out because of the false information that was being communicated. They were severely understaffed, only 3 people working with 3 customers in the chairs and 10 people in the lobby waiting. I told the nail technician I wanted a gel French manicure. I had been growing out my nails for weeks and clearly stated that I did not want them cut and she cut every one of my nails completely off. I also clearly said I wanted square nails and she completely ignored me and gave me oval. The technician was rough, throwing my hands and equipment around and incredibly rude. My favorite part, she didn’t even paint my nail. Only put white tips on them. I specifically said I wanted the nails themselves to be a very light pink, like French manicures are supposed to look like. It was so disappointed how lazy this technician was and how rushed she was to get me out of the chair. The nails themselves turned out atrocious. I have nail polish all over my fingers and my nails look messy and embarrassing. I want to note that I repeatedly told the nail technician that I was unhappy with the result and I wanted them fixed and she ignored me every time. I had to go to a different nail salon immediately after to have them redo my entire manicure that this salon ruined. Please don’t waste your time here or give this place your business, you will be so disappointed!

I wanted to relax during my manicure and pedicure but couldn’t because another customers kids kept coughing, running around, throwing trash on the floor and getting in the employees way. The nail tech doing my pedicure asked if I wanted a design but I just couldn’t handle the noise and decided to leave.I had good experiences in the past but this current visit was so horrible I won’t be going back.

Came in to get my acrylics off and ended up getting a manicure and pedicure. The staff is super nice. The lady that was soaking off my acrylics was on a personal phone call and she ended up ruining my long nails so I had to cut them short. Her technique to get them off was something I never seen before and it hurt. That was my only negative experience about this place. But she did do a good job with my gel nails. The lady that did my deluxe pedicure was professional and very good at what she does. Glad I got her first or else I wouldn’t have done my feet because of my experience with the other nail tech.

I’ve been here twice. Both experiences were good. Both times mani-pedi. Second time gel manicure and two workers simultaneously worked on me which shortens the time tremendously. Very kind and friendly staff. They both did a great job and 1 week later nails still look great!Future idea for management: Would be nice to have a photo book for “special designs on nails”. I was asked if I wanted a special design and I said “like what?” “A flower”. Hard to imagine without seeing what that might look like.

I was in the area on business and stumbled o n to this salon looking to get a pedicure. Mira greeted me when I came in and asked how she could help. When I said I was in need of a pedicure, she quickly asked which type I would like and showed me the menu. As I struggled to pick from the many options, she recommended the jelly pedicure if I was looking for a relaxing pedicure.I have had pedicures before but never a jelly one. I cant say enough good things about that pedicure and Miras talents. Top that off with a mimosa as you are sitting there relaxing and what a great way to end the day after work.I would seek this salon out if you are looking for awesome service and a pedicure to die for!!

It was disgusting manicure and coating! Master Monica at first she tore off the old gel polish for me with tongs, then she did a bad manicure and I constantly had to say what to do, in the end, on top of that, the terrible coating is uneven with bumps! Never never come back !

This place is awesome. I went there on a whim before work and needed to get in and out quickly. Jane was awesome. She did a really good job really fast and I was in and out with an acrylic fill with gel in about 30 minutes. I will be going back there again. I love this place they have a very friendly owner

This salon overall is very friendly however it is expensive. I know we are in COVID still, so Im thinking that is why the prices are so expensive. I took my 4 year old daughter in for her kids mani and pedi plus my waxed chin and ended paying almost $60! I thought the total would be between $20-$30, but it literally was double. Not to mention when leaving, this crazy lady almost hit us in the parking lot just trying to rush in the salon we just left out of! Needless to say we will not be going out of our way to return.

Walked in on a Sunday without an appointment and was seated right away. Good color selection, clean, and most importantly good social distancing! I felt safe getting a pedi there after a 6 month hiatus. My nail tech was thorough and wore a mask. The spa chairs had shields over the tub area, protecting both parties. Would go back when in the area.

None of my nails are shaped the same and broke one before a week time. Plus they dont have enough colors.to.choose from

I came here for a mani/pedi for a military ball tomorrow and I was contemplating getting a facial too. Felt like a rare occasion to pamper myself a bit. That thought was interrupted when, within ten minutes in the chair, just after a second technician put my hand in water, the first nail tech doing my pedicure, (who was using a cuticle cutter to clip my nails instead of a nail clipper... a red flag I noticed, and now regret deciding to dismiss, cut me...TWICE.When I exclaimed, Ow! and attempted to pull my foot back, she grabbed my foot tight to keep me from pulling back and was trying to put it back into the water insisting, Its okay, its okay despite me saying, No, no, its not okay. She literally would not let go of my foot! I had to say to her verbatim, No, you need to let go of my foot. NO. YOU NEED TO LET GO OF MY FOOT NOW. (Yes, I had to say it TWICE.) AND her colleague had to step in and repeat the instruction before she let my foot go.Once she released my foot, I could see my toe was bleeding. But she was still insisting that I put it back into the water! I told her, My foot is bleeding; Im not putting it back in there. Im done and begin gathering my things to leave.Even though I was the one hurt and harassed, I left so upset that a few yards away before I got to my car, I called my husband and cried. How dare she grab me like that?! And further, how dare she tell me to put an open wound back into a pedi bath?! Gross!In addition to being upset about having to attend my husbands ball without professionally manicured nails, I am pretty worried about a possible infection. Now that Ive made it to my car and calmed down enough to see clearly, I decided to warn others.I submit to evidence the following:Exhibit A: my bleeding toe on the drivers seat of my carExhibit B: the color my husband helped me choose via text BEFORE I was wounded and embarrassedPick a different salon.Cant believe I was thinking of letting them near my face. I came here not reading the reviews first, but wish I did. I came in for a pedi and gel mani. I chose package #1 $26 each for pedi and gel mani. I didn’t get her name but the lady who did my toes look great. I got a bright red. But Tina did my gel mani, and not so happy. It looks like I did them or someone who’s just starting to use gel. Grant it, i bite my nails so I can see how that can make them look rough and all, but idk what it is about the color that she had to apply 3 coats and still didn’t look like the solid pink color on the nail that I chose. Both technicians were polite and the place was clean when I was there, but just wish my nails looked professionally done. They look awful! (see pics) And I didn’t get the 10 min massage for my toes or hands like it mentioned in the package, more like 5 min for both hands and feet. Just feel like I was ripped off. Anyways don’t see myself coming here again.

I walked in and less than 10 minutes they had me in a chair to done my nails. I had Ling Ling and she was very pleasant to talk with and do my nails very quick but did a great job! I gave her a fairly big tip, she is blessed because she is a blessing. Definitely coming back here again.

My mom is very picky when it comes to her nail maintenance,am happy she was happy and very contented with The work of Wendy. Unlike any nail spa and salon, this one is very inclusive, friendly and just right on work! My nails turned out okay I guess. My nail beds hurt really badly, and I had started bleeding half way through. Typical pricing. Missed parts of my nails completely. Tech kept messing up and had to keep using harsh nail Polish remover which burned my fingers because of the cuts.

I use to come here and get my eyebrows waxed but lately they been really bad at doing them. I said something about they waxing too much of my eyebrow and they said it was like that.

Happy that they are open. Shaded spot on the porch but they were quick so the heat wasnt bad. Nice to feel normal again!

Extremely rude and unprofessional. And if the customer service wasnt bad enough, my French manicure came out very sloppy. I regret not leaving as soon as I sat down. I went in with my sister to get a manicure and pedicure. We had my 5 month old sleeping nephew in a stroller and I asked my manicurist, Lily, where we could put him. The first response was I dont know. I asked if we could put him between me and my sisters seats, and she then said No. My sister then asked her manicurist where we could put him and she said it was fine to put him between our seats. Lily was sour and rude the whole time she was doing my nails, barking commands at me of how to position my hands. As if that wasnt bad enough, the four ladies who were doing our nails asked if we wanted to upgrade to Shellac polish for $20 more each. We said no thanks. They kept trying to sell us on Shellac and after a few minutes of that started talking in Vietnamese to each other with the only discernible words being shellac and cheap. The cherry on top was when Lily finished my nails and walked away without a word. My sisters manicurist at least politely said Thank you for coming in. If you want to feel belittled and uncomfortable, I recommend this place. If you want to feel like a human being, I advise you to go somewhere else.

Wonderful staff! I came here with a friend whove been a long-time customer.The salon is clean and airy, the poetry here is very sociable. It has a special place and there are many new things. Great experience! Would definitely go again.

Went there yesterday noon for regular Mani and spa Pedicure. Liked the service. The staff was friendly in nature and handles each customer nicely. The pricing was good as per the service. Liked the chair massage it was so relaxing and refreshing. Will definitely go there again. They will let u know extra charges for the add on services before doing. My first time experience was nice.

My sister and I went to this nail salon since we were around the area and once we got there they gave us an attitude, the lady was pressuring my sister to get gel when she clearly told them that she doesnt like gel, I didnt like my manicure I can see lil bumps she did not cut my cuticle, I just didnt like the vibe while getting my nails.

They were very pushy and didn’t listen to what I kept insisting to them and the nail shaping was horrible, chunky and very unneat and rushed as well as the polish. Plus they cut me twice

Came in for a pedicure because my feet looked like something out of a horror movie. The women who helped me did a magnificent job. Although she kinda just made up the prices from the top of her head, its probably because my feet were that bad. Anyways I would recommend to anyone who needs good service

Never again! Nail tech cut basically all of my fingers and when I said something she just laughed & said sorry but continued not to be-careful and cut me again. Once finished didn’t give me a chance to let them dry, went home with wet nails. Unbelievable.

The full set pink & white was just gorgeous. Really elegant and pretty as well. My tech knew what she supposed to do and her technique was amazing. I didnt get cut at all and definitely painless. Prices were nice and reasonable on a whole. Surely a good place to pass by. Highly recommend

My husband and I wanted to get manicures and pedicures (this is out of the norm for him). So as any person would want, I wanted my husband to have a great experience, which he did.My rating is for my technician. I feel like such a jerk posting this but If I can help at least 1 gal I will. I had Amy. I went in requesting a gel manicure. As she started filing all of my nail length away I had a change of heart about the gel as I had a feeling I may need to get my nails done again very soon. Boy was I right. I ended up with polish all over my fingers, on my palms (no joke!) fibers in my polish from her brush, missed sides, the top color coat was clearly not placed like the bottom. There are clear drip marks on each one of my nails. She scratched the polish off of one on my nails with her nail and used the same tools that the gal doing my toes was using. Clearly this place is not so concerned with cleanliness or quality of work. I was more than disappointed. After telling her not to file my nails anymore she kept insisting and held one of my hands down. I am pretty patient and understanding but this was such a disappointment. My 6yr old neice can do a better job. Im not even kidding.Do not go there. If you do, beware of sloppy Amy.

I was a walk in to this salon last night after work, around 5:30 PM. After seeing some of the negative reviews on here I was a little apprehensive but figured Id give them a try. Jane did my nails with gel and they look wonderful, she really did a great job. There were several walk-ins during my time there and they were all taken in quickly and I didnt notice anyone having any attitude about it. Looks like I will be making my appointments with Jane from now on, I really love the way my nails look :)

This place is AMAZING! It was my first time and they gave me like the best massage on my feet, hands, and shoulders. They had lots of great gel colors and they do acrylic too in case you want that or if something is broke-like mine. Ive probably been to at least a dozen nail places. Ive tried all the expensive ones and a couple cheap ones. This one is where Im staying.Im glad I found my home.

I came in for a fill since it was close to Target and was convenient for me to drop by after shopping. I needed to get a fill and had to wait about 30 minutes to be seen (I didnt have an appointment and it was about 6pm).I was SO disappointed with the fill I received. My nails werent buffed well and they came out looking all scratchy, which you could see through the polish. Also, just over a week later, all of the sides are starting to separate on my nails and one of them has an awful discoloration below it. Im getting them repaired today at another salon and I hope that the nail color is just an issue and there isnt a problem with the nail itself due to the fill I received at Nails 2000.It was cheap ($17 for a fill), but not worth it at all. I definitely wont be returning.

Terrible manicure and pedicure. Only good thing is they stay after hours. They do talk a lot of smack here in Vietnamese. Annoying experience. I don’t think I’ll rethrn unless desperate after hours.

They were really pushy about getting gel the whole time, we didnt want it. The only time they spoke to us was when they were trying to sell us things. I wouldnt have minded as much if they only asked once, but you had to say no 5 or 6 times before they stopped trying to sell it to you. On top of that I got a regular manicure and its chipping off significantly only a day later. Never coming back, the over selling was pushy and made me uncomfortable.

My wife had me go before out wedding. Cool experience. they are great at upsells... We spent almost $500.

Omg never going back.A simple French manicure was what I tried to get. First of all I couldnt communicate well with them at all, which is to be expected but it took forever to tell them I didnt want anything else but that. We went for mothers day and my mom wanted to get acrylic nails but they kept trying to pressure her to get gel too even after we said no about 5 times... After they were done, the French manicure had bubbles in it and my moms nail were sloppily painted and her nail was glued to her thumb! The filling is also super clumpy 😠😠😠 She had Molly and I forgot the other nail stylists name... But whatever it was very disappointing and they charged us 10 dollars extra for stuff we didnt want and was done badly . I recommend going to the Nails 2000 in LA Jolla ... See Mimi or Kim they never do a bad job been going for a year now... The one time I try to go somewhere else it was awful

They are really pushy when it comes to selling their product. We came in to specifically get one set and yet they are pushing for whole different things. Another is they cant understand good english so the problems are even worse. Fluent english speaking staff would be nice. Never coming back.
