I booked an appointment with Derek after reading all the good reviews online. It was important for my nails to look perfect for our big wedding so I went somewhere new since we are from out of town. After showing up for my appointment at 1, I wasn’t helped or offered anything until 1:25. 25 mins of waiting and they weren’t very busy.I specifically wanted acrylic nails for my wedding. I showed him this photo below and he told me he can try to make them look good…try…after Derek cut my nails the shortest the ever have been he even said trust the process and they will look good at the end. Also said acrylic won’t look good on my hand and he will make with what he has. Throughout the process they aren’t looking anything like the photo I showed him. I mentioned a handful of times I didn’t like how they looked and he told me to wait until he was done. After finishing he walked away and didn’t give me an opportunity to give any feedback or make changes. I sat in the chair holding back tears because they were SO ugly. Derek gave me so much attitude while I was getting them done i didn’t have the patience to argue and sit there and have him redo them.I checked out at online they said they were going to be $45 for my nails…I was charged $69. I questioned it and even the manager didn’t know so she gave me a $3 discount….I was so upset I walked out of there immediately crying calling somewhere else to get them fixed. I have called MULTIPLE times to have them correct the situation or Atleast acknowledged he poor business and service. Not a single call back. So here I am writing this review to stay away from this place and DONT over pay for nails you won’t get.

They except walk-ins but rush the job just to get to the next person with an appointment. I suggest if you want a great job done, make an appointment. Or you’ll end up like me who had to go in to get my nails fixed just to have them get acrylic all over my nails and up lift 3 days after the “fixed” job.

Absolutely adore Carmel Valley Nail! After trying several nail salons in the area, I was thrilled to find this gem. I’ve been a customer for 2-1/2 years now, and have never been unhappy! Their ultimate pedi with hot stone massage, paraffin wax, fruit scrub and so much more is absolutely worth every penny!The atmosphere is lovely and spa-like… and it’s always been clean and tidy. I do miss the pre-pandemic glass of wine that they used to pour…but these are the sacrifices in a covid world.Nothing but raves for this salon!

Had the most amazing pedicure (the Euro). My technician (sorry can’t remember her name) was pleasant from the start and had attention to detail every step of the way. The leg massage alone was worth it. Definitely will be back!

I have been going to this Salon for about 2 months now and Derek has been a dream since day one. His honesty about the process, answering any and all of my questions and doing a beyond wonderful job every time has made this place more than heartwarming. I love Carmel Valley Nail Lounge and I look forward to continuing my business here!

Came on Valentines Day.. I got 2 pedicures (for the missus and I) and she got a manicure as well. Incredible experience, very clean and professional environment. Julie and Kathy gave the best personal care and massage that weve ever had. Will definitely be returning soon.

This was the best pedicure of my life. They take their time here which is really great except towards the end the manager seemed to be rushing the ladies doing mine and my friends pedicures to finish (probably because they had other appointments -- they were a little late to start ours). This resulted in the actual polish portion of my pedicure to be messed up but to be honest I wasnt really there for that anyways. Overall great experience!

I got a pink and white full set here last week and I really like it. The nails we not too thick but not too thin that they are beak-able.

Apparently the only nail salon open, although it shouldnt be. What a pathetic excuse for customer service. If they closed permanently, you wouldnt be missed.

I just moved back to the area and this salon is exactly what I was looking for, an eco-friendly salon. Its very clean and does not carry the heavy toxic smells majority of salons hold. The products were also vegan (which is important to me). The staff was very friendly and my particular technician gave me a wonderful manicure. I did not feel like my services were at all rushed. I was able to sit back and relax. I will definitely be returning.

My favorite nail salon. They do wonderful pedicures.

Worst experience ever. I showed a picture of what I wanted and had something horrible not matching with the pictures. You could see the tips and my nails weren’t straight. I went back and they fix it but the lady were blaming me while she was doing it. One day after that one of my nail broke while I was brushing my hair.

Derek is the best with acrylic nails! This is now my new go-to salon. I came in with a butchered french from another place and he was the most meticulous manicurist Ive ever seen. He was so insistent on taking his time, making sure I was 100% happy, and encouraged me to be vocal about exactly what I wanted even if it wasnt what other people typically liked. Ive been to many other places with manicurists that are just on autopilot or they just insist that their way is the best without actually listening to what Id like. So happy to have found Carmel Valley Nail Lounge :)

Wonderful service and amenities. I made the appointment the day of for two of usThey offer you free water, soda, coffee, beer, or wine. There is a great selection of colors and services. You can get all sorts of runs using all organic products. Everything smells great, not like chemicals. My best nail experience ever! Defiently recommend and will be coming back

Today was my first visit and Jenny did a wonderful job with my pedicure! She took her time trimming my big toes which is important to me (I get pedicures to prevent ingrowns.) None of the girls seemed rushed and the salon is clean and doesnt smell like nail products. She recommended the fruit pedicure for next time and Im excited to try it.

Best service ever. I had an issue with my Powder set of nails and Derek did a gorgeous job. I was given a full set and a discount.The place is tucked in a small mall. It’s is clean, free of chemical fumes. The selection of service and colors is fantastic. I will continue to come back and refer others. I am so glad I found them.

I drove 20 miles just to come here based on a recommendation of a friend and it was worth every mile! They were very friendly and knowledgeable. They answered all my questions and eased my worry from a previous bad experience. They were patient and understanding but the best part is my nails loook beyond amazing!! Thank you Emily so much!! Beautiful place. Lovely atmosphere and they did a fantastic job on my daughters nails.

They did a fantastic job with my pedicure ❤ i felt so pampered and relaxed!! They did good with my manicure too its just that they dont do designs. If you just want a basic nail look like ombre, french tip or solid color then its a great place but for those that like designs and bling its not for you. Thats the only reason i give 3 stars.

Staff was very nice and professional. Shop has a very nice atmosphere. More expensive than Im used to but dont feel they were overpriced either.

My natural manicure started to chip after 3 days. The nail technician talked me into trying an organic brand polish and touted that it would last more than a week. NOT. When I called the shop with my complaint, the person answering the phone said manicures only last 3 days. (And his attitude was not at all befitting of an owner that really cares). That’s funny cause other manicures last me at least 6 days from a different location. I won’t be back.
