The hotel was very clean and in a nice area. The workout facility had some of the nicest equipment Ive seen at a hotel. The pool was itself was on the small side but it was nice. The rooms were a good size and very clean. The only downside to the whole trip was the $10/day parking fee. I have never been charged for parking at a Courtyard and found this to be ridiculous.

It’s good enough to get yourself to bed and feel rested the next day. For a family of four I would recommend putting more shampoo. Thanks for making us feel comfortable.

The front desk and maintenance crew are freaking amazing! I love this place! I would have given it the full five but the cleaning crew was no bueno! Our room was a wreck when we got there and after 2 hours of cleaning we were finally able to settle in. The grounds, the pool area and the quaint pond in the back will ensure a good vacation. Make sure to hit the front desk later than 10:30 because youll meet Ken. Hell make sure your stay is complete.

Our stay here was excellent. Christina was absolutely superb in accommodating our familys rooms and situating everything despite what appeared to be obstacles. I am a firm believer that you do not know how good someone is till they are challenged and Christina stepped up massively to the plate hitting a homerun in my book. The rooms were clean and odor free. Be mindful of the 8pm pool time. Gym was not available for us to work out in so that was a bit disappointing. The hotel overall I would say is very nice and I would not object to staying here again. Get the gym back up and running and this would be a 5+.

Olivia at the front desk was very sweet. We needed to switch my mom from a standard room to a handicap accessible room and she took care of everything within minutes. The pool area and the room were very comfortable to stay in.

Be careful the rule in this Trerriable Hotel, it will charge the fee that is not exactly.During I stay in this hotel fire alarm trigger, but they did not give the reason why.Dont stay this kind of Hotel.

They were accommodating in switching rooms when ours smelled like cigarettes on arrival. Nothing fancy, very basic. No bottles water in the room, youll have to bring your own.

Ken is the best! :). He gave us a great room with a beautiful view to the park. They dont have food right now during COVID-19 but if you want healthy food you could go to Elmisa cafe that is not too far.

It was ok. Other than the fact the filters were not clean in my ac in the room. I did like the free movies, the microwave, but u do need new ones. Took forever to pop my popcorn. Shower need was good pressure. . 3

Horrible customer service. Ken at the front desk is a complete moron and needlessly complicated things to the point that I canceled my reservations and took my business elsewhere. I recommend anyone and everyone else does the same. You will save yourself time and money by booking elsewhere.

Ken was amazing at checkin. All of the staff has been friendly and helpful so far. It’s not the southern hospitality that I’m used to but it’s very nice.

We had 20 rooms for our daughters wedding guests. the rooms were dirty, carpets stained food left in dirty refrigerator no one helpful at front desk, lots of people hanging out in parking lot and my car was stolen right out of their lot

Been coming here for work through the entire pandemic. Still surprised they cant get the restaurant and lounge open. Every other Marriott is open and serving breakfast. I travel often and no issues other than just this one Marriott so its obviously a management issue.

We loved the area but we asked for joining rooms before hand and when we got there they said that there werent any but when we got to our room there was a door connecting to another room. We didnt have tv in one of our rooms and our AC wasnt working.

The service was amazing! The ladies at check in were kind and so helpful. I will make all future stays at this hotel.

Let’s talk about Veronica. I called this morning to make a reservation to surprise someone in my life. They didn’t know I was coming into town. I had previously had a reservation with the radisson inn and suites. I had asked for a early checkin and the raddisson asked for a $50 extra payment! Not going to happen. Contacted the Marriott and Veronica said COME ON IN❤️ ! I usually stay with the Marriott but had drifted away the last couple times. However they are the most consistent of all brands and too VERONICA you are management material and from someone who spent 15 years in hospitality I know talent. Do yourself a favor Marriott and promote her she’s worth the money. Thank you 🙏🏿 Veronica!!

Horrible customer service from the manager Veronica . After our hotel stay we were assured the deposit would be back on the credit card due to no incidentals. Now 11 days after our stay we only received $7.93 Veronica refused to give the cooperate number instead gave the reservation line.The room had a musty odor,caulk coming up in bathroom, reserved king bed with sofa bed to only receive a chair. We have stayed at multiple Courtyards but this one we will never come back to due to the customer service received by Veronica and the poor quality of the room.

I think Im done with Marriott as a brand. This location is no worse than others I have been to, but thats because they have all been outdated and cheaply furnished. I have been to much nicer holiday inns. Its just not worth the money. Also, $10 a day to park is ridiculous. I didnt see anything about that when I booked.

My mother and sister came from Denver to spend Thanksgiving with me and my best friend in Bernardo Heights. The gentleman at the front was very courteous and room keys were given within minutes. I was disappointed that they had a room overlooking the parking lot, not the duck park behind hotel. Also, I asked upon booking for extra towels in room. Otherwise, thank you for taking care of my Colorado family.

Our room was... weird. Oddly shaped, and small, too small to workout in which is a problem when the gym is closed. Also, they charge $10/night to park a car in their almost empty lot. I can understand doing this during normal times when maybe the lot is full, but during covid when the place is mostly empty? Feels gross and unnecessary. They do offer a breakfast in a sack for some people, not us, I assume because of how we booked. Also, heads up pool and gym and restaurant are closed. Theyre being appropriately careful. They did let us check in early when our flight got in early, which was nice of them. Also note, the highway sounds are definitely noticeable.

Positive: I liked that it was clean and it had a refrigerator and a microwave in the room. Negative: The bed was hard and had no support. The furniture is old and outdated. You have to pay $10 parking when it should be free because it is open parking as far as the way it is laid out.

Love the rooms even though they are smaller they are clean and beautifully furnished. But they did offer a balcony with every room and they dont have one for every room.

I really enjoyed my stay here. The hotel was really clean and the staff were always helpful and nice. Id be happy to stay here anytime I visit again. The location is good too, close to a lot of restaurants as well as the interstate. The only thing I will dock the hotel for is the elevator, which broke while I was in it, and honestly scared the dickens out of me. Hopefully the issue is fixed now, and Id be happy to stay again.

Standard courtyard but my room in the restroom on the bathtub was infested with ants. It was kind of gross. Marriott should be taking care of their hotels better.

Service at this location was excellent. Management staff was attentive and the Bistro was a fun area to hang out. Enjoyed the amenities such as the fitness gym (small but functional) and the pool. The hotel was a stay and play choice for the PACLAX tournament. I appreciated the conduct notice the hotel ask tournament guests to sign. Keeps Coaches, parents and players responsible and courtesy towards others. Overall this hotel offered an excellent experience.

I’ve stayed here no less than 20 times over the last few years. Staff is fantastic, housekeeping does a great job. Rooms are pretty typical Courtyard but well maintained and very clean. Great hotel and very well run.

This was our second time at this particular location which we prefer. The hotel offers a great location. Conveninetly located near I15. It has a beautiful backyard that faces a small lake to watch ducks and turtles. The park surrounding the lake is a Veterans Memorial; very special and peaceful. There is a backyard patio that offers great seating to dine al fresco as well as to watch the lake or just read a book. The rooms are very comfortable, well appointed, very clean and spacious. I love the toiletries they provide: Paul Mitchell brand. There is a small refrigerator, a microwave and coffee maker. The furniture is very modern and elegant. Another advantage of this location is that there are several supermarkets and restaurants near by.The personnel is very helpful and courteous. Thank you Courtyard at Rancho Bernardo!

The location is very good. It’s an older property that has had some upgrades but still feels tired in some places. The front desk staff were helpful and friendly. My room is decent sized and faces the pond. Thankfully it doesn’t face the highway because it’s loud on that side of the hotel. Lots of decent restaurants, and grocery and gas are walking distance / local.

I was pleased with the location of the hotel. It was quiet and I felt safe. It was very quiet which was really nice. The cleanliness of the rooms could be improved. The pullout mattress of the sofa was stained as well as the ironing board cover. The tub was stained with dirt and could use a good bleaching. The room needed to be dusted and the shower curtain probably needed to be replaced. I did check for bedbugs and didn’t find any evidence of them so that’s a plus.

The staff were the real stars and are well trained, professional and personable. This facility is older and a bit dated but well maintained. It backs on to a small park and pond which is very attractive. Initially we were concerned about the loud traffic noise from the freeway because it was an issue sitting outside to read or be by the pool. But our room facing the pool was quiet, so sleeping was not a problem. Beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean. We liked having a small refrigerator and microwave in our room.

Paula is fantastic! She refunded our first night’s stay when our flight was delayed causing us to arrive a day later than expected. She also made sure our rooms were ready for early check-in when we arrived and she upgraded our rooms. She provided exceptional customer service.

At check in, the staff insisted that I take a room that was more accommodating for me due to a recent surgery. That was cool. Also the classic oatmeal and coffee to go at the breakfast bar has never disappointed me. They are quick and the quality is excellent. For elite members, the price is right - free.

We were very impressed by the level of service that was provided in Courtyard Marriott Rancho Bernardo hotel.The hotel is situated in a lovely part of San Diego, very close to a small lake with wildlife. It has a pool, nice well equipped gym and tasty restaurant.The room was great- spacious, clean and modern. The staff were very nice and polite.The thing that I loved the most is that even when we had an issue, Francesca, the general manager of reception went beyond all of our expectations to make sure our stay was satisfactory.Im recommending this hotel and its definitely one of the best we had so far in our road trip.Thanks for a great experience!

The walking paths and duck pond were a great place for the grandchildren to play and experience while the overall location was ideally central for our visits to Old Town San Diego and the San Diego Safari Park. The facility was large enough that we could find a good place to have meals both within our hotel and the neighbourhood, and it allowed for us to select a room away from the highway traffic. The room sizes were good for our purposes and made our stays very comfortable.

I think the hotel itself was average. It was clean but dated. Easy location to get in and out of and find fast access to food in the nearby area. The staff was good during the check in process but when I checked out if felt like a complete hassle to do. He was listening to something in the office and rolled his eyes when I asked to check out and it was even worse when I asked for a physical receipt for my stay. I never have had this experience before.

Positive: Clean towels Negative: Everything. First of all I stayed at the Hilton because when I got to Marriot they had a sign directing me to Hilton. This must be the oldest Hilton ever. It was very outdated.I would have rather stayed at the Marriott where my reservation was to begin.

Hotel added a breakfast buffet (pay for) which has good food on it. Staff is very helpful and attentive. Breakfast/lounge area is nice and comfortable. Good views to the rising sunshine. Pools looks good but havent tried yet.
