Ive gone for hair removal and tattoo removal at this location. Savannah at the receptionist desk/phones is always so friendly, attentive, and knowledgable. The nurses have all been kind and professional as well. Facility is clean and modern. They are always very accommodating with getting appointment times that fit my schedule. Definitely recommend!

I have been attending LaserAway for over two years. After I had my second baby at 41, I looked tired. No wrinkles, but I looked worn out. I had read and viewed the commercials. I bought two fire and Ice. I looked amazing. I told the nurses i needed more intensity.I started clear and brilliant. It has been the best decision I have made for my face ever. My pores look so small. People ask me if I am wearing air brushed make up. My face looks ten years younger.Thank you to all the staff and especially Chanel who always helps me out when I am running low on clear and brilliant purchases.

BAIT & SWITCH. They really earned this bad review. I had good experiences in the past with laser hair removal and so I chose them for botox treatments. In November 20 I called to schedule an appointment and I deliberately asked them to confirm I had previously purchased units in my bank. They assured me I had 20-something units. I can never get an appointment thats less than 2 weeks out so I wait 2+ weeks, show up, first thing I ask is to confirm AGAIN that I have available units in my bank, technician agrees, removes my makeup, draws her marks, THEN goes out to check my balance. Comes back in and breaks the news that I have nothing in my bank and that I have to purchase more. Infuriating after doing my due diligence to get accurate information but I went ahead and purchased another package of units and received the treatment. After all, Im already there, Ive waited weeks for this appointment, my makeup is already messed up. Fast forward 6 months. I call to schedule a touch-up treatment. Soonest appointment I can get is over 2 weeks out (always) and she confirms that I have FORTY units in my bank to use for the appointment. I wait the 2+ weeks for my appointment, the MORNING OF I get a text cancellation that their nurse called in sick. I call back to reschedule and explain that I had already waited a long time for this appointment - theres nothing they can do, whatever. I get re-booked for the following week, arrive, first thing I say when I sat down is I called ahead and confirmed that I have units in my bank the technician responds with yeah it looks like you have a lot then she takes off my makeup, makes her dots, and THEN goes to check with the front desk. She comes back in with one of the receptionists and first word I hear is Actualllyyyyy.... turns out I had nothing in my bank (somehow went from 40 to 0). I asked for a towel to wipe the dots off my face and the receptionist assures me oh no, you can still get the treatment done, do you want to buy more? HAAA. I let her know they did this to me in November.In conclusion, if you chose to go to LA, keep track of your purchases an usage because you cannot trust them to be honest with you if you leave it to them. They could very well just be a sloppy/lazy staff that dont care about professionalism but what I think is more likely is this company encourages unethical business practices. Why did the technician tell me all is good, prepped me for the treatment and then went to double check? Logic suggests the odds of making the sale are greater when a person is already on the spot, one-step away from getting what they were assured they already paid for vs being told over the phone they will need to purchase before arrival.Classic bait and switch. Will not be going back, there are plenty of great places in town that are cheaper and dont use sleazy tactics to manipulate their customers.

DO not waste your money, you will get one appointment then struggle to get any of the following. They will cancel on you and make you reschedule for a whole month later... Which defeats the whole point. Go anywhere else.

My last clear and brilliant treatment and I am always happy and content with the results. I bought a package of this service and I still have my thermage treatment left. The staff was so nice and friendly. They represent the company’s goal to make you feel confident and beautiful. I recommend this place . Give them 5 ⭐️.

Staff is all super nice. Scheduling is usually pretty easy and they seem genuinely helpful at trying to get you in at the time you want. Have gone in for both laser and Botox. The laser is quick and painless with great results. The Botox has been done skillfully and sparingly which I appreciate.

Seriously love this place, I have recommended it to friends and family multiple of times. The staff is super friendly and nice. My only complaint is when it comes to making appointments theyre completely booked so you have to schedule weeks in advance. Pricey but may be worth it... need to see more results!

I just went in today for my first of 6 clear and brillant laser treatments. Danika (I cant remember if it was just a k or a k and a c) was so awesome, kind, caring and considerate. I would highly recommend this location to anyone considering any treatments. They are all really invested in providing a very warm, comfortable environment. I am looking forward to my next treatment next month and I feel confident that I will see the results over time that I am hoping for. I am so glad that I decided to do this at this location!!

The weekend crew is amazing, theyre always so nice, not to mention fill you in on the best sales. Ive had multiple services here and Im really happy with my results, I did have to buy a few more laser hair removal sessions because 8 werent enough.

Unfortunately the results were not what was expected. 6 sessions of Clear & Brilliant for melasma was disappointing. Even though it made it lighter overall, I didn’t expect the white spots/splotches. I would not do it again, and will not recommend it to anyone with melasma due to the expense(!)- however, the staff is very nice and friendly and the location in La Jolla is clean and comfortable. I also got really tired of the constant selling. Called me on a Saturday afternoon trying to sell more packages. I’ll just stick with hydroquinone and be wary of the sun. Thanks, now I know :)

Pretty good service and quality, but I feel like just a number to them. Each time I go in the person died but know my history and what services I am getting done. I understand they are busy but a few charting improvements could help with this.

0 STARS! Extremely rude receptionist! Their appointments are always messed up. There is always a problem with their scheduling, sometimes I would get a text 5 minutes before my appointment saying it was cancelled due to overbooking. I live half hour away so this is very inconvenient. Every time I have to re schedule because they messed up my appointment, the receptionist wants to schedule me for another month. This ruins my whole hair growth cycle. She is very rude and wouldnt even try to help me out. My sister and my mom go there as well and we all have had bad experince here. I am not sure what to do as I feel like my money is going to waste. I am not seeing any results due to their messed up scheduling system and the rude people that work there.

Good customer service when we walk in... and the technicians that do the procedures are friendly and patient. Some are definitely better then others, but thats with all jobs everywhere you go :). A little pricey... but I used a groupon so it wasnt too bad in the end. They have been removing my no thoughts lower back tat that I got when I was 22 (12 years ago)... glad its almost gone. I only need 2-3 more sessions... Ive had three already. :)

I was sold a package, paid $400 and told they could see me any time and it will only take 10 minutes per time. I was also told Id experience 0 pain- LOL! So after sitting on hold 10 minutes to get transferred to be on hold another 15 minutes to be told their first available appointment is a month out, I was finally seen. Hurt like hell. I was so mad the sales woman told me I wouldnt feel anything. Now Im trying to get a refund.... this should be interesting, Stay tuned.

Save your money and rather spend a little more to go to reputable place. This place is terrible from start to finish. I bought a groupon. It was very difficult to get an appointment in the first place. They made me come in for a consultation first and refused to do the procedure the same day even so I had experience with both procedures. They do that so they can upsell you. Then when you actually go for your procedures they are not effective at all. I had 3 IPL treatments with no results at all. None of my brown spots disappeared or got darker and then eventually fell off like promised. Its a waste of money and your time. I told them that I didnt get any results because they ask you to rate them after every appointment and someone called me, but I wasnt offered an additional treatment or a solution.

I want to express my satisfaction with the clinic in UTC/La Jolla. The services received were awesome. The RN Dolores (Lola) was extremely professional and caring. She was extremely sweet. She constantly made sure my mother and I were comfortable with the treatment and was able to maintain us informed of the procedure before and after care. The front Office lady Ms. Charity made sure all paperwork, consents and overall experience was above the level of our expectation by providing excellent customer service at all times showing a very courteous and professional demeanor. Why ONE STAR for Laser Away- especially la jolla? Because there isn’t a MINUS STAR!I only write objectively & from my experience & REALISTIC expectations so my review can be helpful for others! I am a Registered Nurse myself1.) LASER AWAY prices ARE HIGHER than most other salons. NO doctor - so a lot of their similar tx. are not quite up to par. Eg. The Vampire facial/ micro needling. Laser Away uses a bogus vitamin serum not your blood. I have seen remarkable improvement in both you & middle age POST vampire tx. NOT the “clear & brilliant”!2.) i paid several THOUSAND dollars for THERMAGE- 10-11 year old technology- SUPER painful (i have a high threshold to pain!) 4 months ago ZERO improvement! Not even an offer to re-do it! Total scam!3.) they continually PUSH ME into appointment times that are NOT going to workout due to traffic & la jolla parking lot is HORRID-NIGHT MARE! MY day is too busy to leave an extra 1/2 to comb the parking waiting for a spot!!! I NEVER get an evening appointment tho i ask! Laser Away has a 10 MINUTE GRACE PERIOD!!!!! In San Diego thats nothing! They make no exceptions & are quite SNIDE if you ask!I had this happen to me after actually leaving downtown, a previous appointment early to get there on-time! 3 minutes past 10 minute grace period & NOPE 👎🏼.However, once YOU are on time, they make YOU WAIT to check in, chat on the phone so you cant get checked in, & You sit & wait!!!!The nurses are nice & competent but, i found too much Baloney & not well organized & hypocrites its all ABOUT THEM- THE DESK PEOPLE WIELDING, control & power over high paying clients !!I wont go into the immaturity & gossip of the ladies at the desk ! Extremely disrespectful and rude receptionist! Never have I been to a laser treatment that has treated me such as this one. I found out about them through a Groupon deal, however I instantly saw that it was a huge mistake. Im not sure how the rest of the staff is (as I left early) but I hope that they dont mirror the behavior of the receptionist.Would not recommend to anyone who has an ounce of dignity.

I have been coming to lazor away in hillcrest for 2 years and have had great results and service. I love that I can have Credit with them and make payments. My hair is almost completely gone!

The office was nice and clean. Very cheerful. But the three times that Ive been there, I felt rushed. I felt the aesthetician couldve wait for me to go. Not sure why because it takes no time at all for my aession.

The staff is great! Very friendly and outgoing. Parking and Availability at the Hillcrest location is tough, so I moved to the UTC location! Much easier to park and make appointments!

Dont waste your time with this place, they are clueless about how to run a business. They wasted my time on many different issues because they couldnt keep good records on names, schedules, phone numbers etc to start with and then because they couldnt locate my payment in two different occasions they refused my treatment appointment until the issue was resolved. Even though I had a receipt!!! Had to cancel payment thru credit card company. What a joke!

Total rip off shop and health hazard ! I came to Lazer Away La Jolla to get Botox for frown lines. Below is my experience with them, decide for yourself.I made an appointment and went in for a Botox consultation having never had the treatment before. The sales girl/minimum wage thinking receptionist came into my room and told me the cost per unit of Botox would be $11 a unit for 1st time clients. This was the 1st indication that she had no clue what she was talking about as the same girl had told me over the phone when I had initially called that the special onetime rate would be $15. The price was lower so, it was fine with me. After she left the nurse came in and assessed me. Her conclusion was that I needed 18 units and that would give me great results. After the treatment, she told me the full effect would be evident in about 10 days.Day 10= Zero resultsDay 14= Zero resultsFriends and family who noticed no change and who have received the treatment suggested I call Lazer Away La Jolla and go back in to have them explain the lack of results.Day 14: I call and spoke to the same minimum wage thinking employee. She told me that the clinician that did my treatment was in and that she would call me right back. I received no call back.Day 16: I called spoke to the same minimum wage thinking employee. Asked her why no one had called me back. She had no answer. She then said she could get me in at 8:30pm on Monday!She then went on with an attitude about her thoughts on why I was not having results. I would go into it but to save time I’ll just say it was a bunch of B.S. back peddling.Arrived at 8:30 to my Appt. another nurse came in and told me to frown. When I did she said, it is working because of the reduced movement when I frowned. I asked her why does it not look any different. She has no answer and just said well if you want more we can do more. I told her she was the expert and should do what she thinks will give me results. However, I told her I would not be paying for more treatment. She said she could not make that decision and went and got my favorite minimum wage thinking employee. She came in about 10 Min later and said the nurse recommends 10 more units. It was obvious at this point that this is how this place rips people off. 10 more units! I received 18 the 1st time. That means they miscalculated what I needed by 55%. That is a huge safety issues. Trust me you don’t want someone who is injecting you with a neurotoxin to miscalculate by that huge of a #. What if they miscalculate and give you 55% too much. You can basically be sure you will have major facial paralysis. Huge risk that is not worth it.So basically, instead of resolving the issue of a potential long term client their minimum wage thinking employee figured it would be a better decision sending me off as a disgruntled client with no results and the evidence that Lazer Away La Jolla has complete disregard for the satisfaction and safety of their clients.Now it’s time to call the credit card company and dispute the charges. Then off to posting this on google and any other review sites I can find.The public needs to be warned that Lazer Away La Jolla is unsafe and a scam shop!

Edit: Everything was fixed. Thank you.I first called last month, when I noticed the difference in charge. I was quoted ~$200 and a $400 charge posted. I was told someone would call me the next day. ONE MONTH LATER: I called this past Monday, frustrated that no one followed up on this. Still no resolve. I have called again on Wednesday and Thursday. Still my over charge problem has not been resolved. I was told a manager would call me today (4/5/18) and did not receive a call or voicemail. I was told I would receive an email on Monday from one of the directors. No email. I would like a refund for the $400 asap. This is unacceptable to give your customers the run around.
