Dropped off a Silver Dollar that I inherited that the family had made into a Keychain. Wanted to see if I needed to get it appraisal.What a wonderful surprise when Bill Collins the owner called me. He is the guru of the coins and was happy to help me out.He explained to me that the coin didnt have much value, but my family had spent about $150.00 in silver to make it into a Keychain. I laughed and stated yes that sounds like my family, I personally just would of taken just the coin.Bill was SO nice and educated me on the coin which was very interesting. People like Bill in this field are hard to find these days. So if you have some coin collection you need help with, give him a call!They are a family run business and have been in business for a very long time!Remember...shop small businesses as much as you can!

The best jeweler in the SD area! My husband originally visted this jeweler to have a family diamond put in an engagement ring setting, and they did a beautiful job. We went on to purchase both of our wedding bands here. We were happy with the pricing and every staff member is so kind, patient, and helpful.We have since moved to a different state, and we had an issue with my husbands wedding band. From a distance, Chelsea helped us through the warranty process, and sent us clear instructions in order to replace my husbands ring.I wish we were still local so we could come here to get our jewelry cleaned. We will give this amazing family company our business any chance we get.

My experience at Collins Family Jewelers was exceptional! Delaney was a delight to work with and was so patient. I chose to get the service of adding beads to the inside of my ring since my knuckle is bigger than my finger which had caused my ring to slide around. Delaney answered all of my questions and helped me figure out the best way to adjust my wedding band to have my vision come to life. She also assisted me in choosing a wedding band for my fiancé. Great service all around and I am looking forward to picking up the rings when they are ready!

My mom started going here over 15 years ago for multiple repairs and told me about how good shes been treated so I came here to start a fix on my family heirloom engagement ring and its literally one of my favorite places for jewelry! We came for our 6month olds ear piercing. The owner knows his stuff, he made us very comfortable and explained the entire process and the care instructions after the piercing. 45$ for the entire process. We took an appointment before we went.. I would recommend this to everyone. I am glad I went to them.

I was driving down Mira Mesa looking for big 5 sporting goods it was on my right and I was in the far left lane so I turned into the shopping center and something stopped me and I heard go into this store. This review is strictly for ears piercing.As all the reviews suggested we ended up here for our 8-month daughters ears piercing. The owner Bill, great human being did the procedure with lot of care and warmth. It’s hard to believe how he is not a pediatrician doctor.He is super busy, so please do take an appointment. Starting from 2-months, you can pretty much pierce anytime, but my advice between 6-10 months. When baby can sit in your lap and can take some force while holding. Price is $45 for the service, very reasonable.Procedure: He takes time to explain the procedure, very patiently. Then you select the ear stud which goes in to the piercing gun. They have two types on several colors. Once you choose the piece, the procedure starts.You need two adults other than Bill. One to hold in the lap and other to hold the baby face in 45 degrees. Then Bill holds the ear and mark with the pen and get approval from you. He makes amazing judgement on where to put the mark. Now the procedure repeats and this time, it is gun shot. I have posted pictures to show how this procedure is done. He gives good time between piercing each ear for the baby to recover. The baby cries mostly because she is being held in very uncomfortable position and not because of the pain. My baby stopped crying in 5 minutes and she was normal.The after care is very simple, first couple of days not rubbing ears. After 2 days rotate the ear ring for a week one time a day. Bill explains very clearly and slowly.Total process takes around 30 min, very simple and honest. We would surely go to Collins for our daughters jewelry purchase.Again, I am wondering how Bill is not a pediatrician doctor.

OMG this place!! Simply the best customer service ever!! I first came to have my wedding ring fixed and felt like I was their number one customer! Because it’s family run, it has a very home-feel and comfortable ambiance. I felt very safe leaving my most prized possession with them to be repaired. I had to go back about 6 months after the first repair because ring was starting to break again. I was a little annoyed because it should have been down right the first time but the welcoming greeting and the fact they genuinely remembered me was great. They fixed my ring no charge (of course) and a complimentary re dipping too! This was all in 2017/2018. Recently, I had called about a setting I saw by a designer and wanted to know if I could preview it. Brianna was amazing and for just the shipping, I was able to preview this setting I had had my eye on for many years! Good thing I do because it wasn’t as great in person as I had thought! A couple months later I found another setting I liked and Brianna ordered the preview for me. My husband and I went in and WOW! It was amazing. Since it is a big expense, I knew my husband and I would need to wait a while before purchasing.Im a hard girl to surprise but! Brianna made it so easy for my husband to open a credit account, order the setting and have it all set and wrapped to surprise me with for Christmas! Since my stone needed to be set in still, Briana made sure it happened quickly after they reopened from the holidays! I’m beyond impressed with the level of customer service and how much we felt like we were treated like family! Brianna went above any expectation to make this a reality!

Buying Jewelry should be personal. They have been the best Jewelers Ive experienced in quality, price and customer service. A few other places Ive been to and bought from (Kays, Ben Bridge, Tiffanys) did not meet those standards. 6 years ago I shopped around for my wifes engagement ring and couldnt find what I wanted until my Mom brought me to her Jeweler and introduced me to Briana. Even though it took me a few days to find that perfect diamond that fit my budget, she was excellent with service and expertise. To this day my wife and I love her beautiful ring (and each other of course) and I havent had to go to another Jewler since. Today I was there and still receive that great experience so they deserve a great review that is long over due.

Everytime I go here alone, Im treated like Im inconveniencing them but if I go here with a person who knows the owners they treat me amazing. Had custom ring designed. Wax Approval Date - missed by the company and no phone call to me. I called 2 days later and went into the business, confirmed price and completion date. Completion Date was missed and no phone call to me. I had to call again and the date was missed by approx 6 days. Initial Discount Offered was the price point I had confirmed when I went in prior to completion of ring, and when I stated that the sales clerk looked at me like I was crazy. I had to ask for my leftover diamonds as they were not in my package and there were approx 21 of them. Horrible experience, would not recommend. The discount that I received should have been at least 25% based on missed deadlines, zero communication. Beware!

Not a good experience. First they have a security door which they take their time to buzz you in after you push the button. If your going to inconvenience people then be on their time not yours. The selection of mens Jewelry especially chains is very poor. I feel like I wasted my time for such a long drive for such a poor experience.
