Best homeless shelter in San Diego. Offer so many different services to help people in need. The people care about what they are doing for the homeless. The people they help are not just a number and a paycheck to Path.

This organization only cares about money and making themselves look good. I have been part of their program for over three years and they have added hell to my live. My Case Manager, Angelica Garcia, blamed me for my assault. My Housing Specialist, Stacious Gill, took money under the table and failed to report the illegal activity occurring their the building they housed me in. I am not homeless again because they want to place me in dangerous housing.THESE PEOPLE LIE AND NEED TO BE STOPPED!!THESE PEOPLE ARE MURDERERS!!

Glenn Porter is the mens floor manager. When I told him he was power-tripping by being verbally abusive, he exited me and took my computer in retaliation. Amelia Broadnax, case manager covered his ass and stuck by his denial, but two witnesses saw him getting my goods into his office. Tameka Tates, the Director, refuses to acknowledge there are serious theft issues in the program, when one male attempted suicide after getting his items and money stolen and another relapsed when a thief stole his identity. They did nothing to investigate. Their concern is earning that grant money, but the human beings? Not so much.

They wont hire people with a old driving record to be a peer support specialist but they will have no problem having you volunteer to work for free as their dishwasher... Smh if they really wanted to assist the homeless they actually give people a chance. Smh.

I love that San Diego is really reaching out to the homeless people in the streets. Its a blessing to help people to better their lives and get back on track with real living skills. I am happy to work in a place to also be involved with the community cause people need respect, positive care. I love helping people who need help. The Lord Jesus loves everyone who is struggling financially or physically. I am blessed to reach out to the people as well as I am a Security Officer bound to protect and serve as a good citizen of the law with good integrity.

The Lord Almighty impressed upon my heart to hand a Bible to Rodney who was an intake coordinator at PATH housing. So i obeyed. May Him draw him and Glenn to repentance and evangelists to be sent to countereact the church of scientology the church of latter day saints and the false churches of Christ in that region. In Jesus name i pray. AMEN

Path is a place where a person gets to have a second chance at life and to get the tools he or she needs to make it all come together. The staff will go out of there way to help. all they ask is for you to put that one step forward and try. More city need this kind of program..

Staff needs to communicate with next shift with what is going on with individuals, so that things stay consistent, and actually give a number by number list of the rules in writing, instead of the client feeling pulled back and forth, due to different instructions, from different counselors. Also they need to take a class on sensitivity and, doing the most logical things for each type of client, one thing good for one client may not be good or helpful for someone else.

A guy named Cedric McGegory works at this establishment. He is a religious petty officer who found out I am a MMA fighter that goes by the name Clint Bad Religion Coleman. He said to me I didnt know youre a MMA competitor. So he obviously looked around and saw on the web that I compete. After the religious petty officer found out I go by said name.He decided to no longer communicate,no longer care that Im homeless, cancelled appointments and sends my calls to voicemail.I contacted my Congressman, and still will be taking further action, due to Cedric obviously only thinking homeless Christians are worth his assistance.

Friendly staff, but for someone who needs help, the Veterans Employment coordinator is of no help. I had a feeling upon meeting her that this would be the case. After our initial meeting as a walk-in, she set up an appointment for the following week after a medical appointment that would guide employment decisions. I came early to the appointment which was apparently during someone elses time slot. The receptionist then came back and said the coordinator went to lunch. I called multiple times to reschedule and left messages with no returned call. Unprofessional and unacceptable for the coordinator who is tasked with getting homeless and unemployed veterans back into the workforce.

A sad story: There is a big difference between a homeless street person and one who becomes homeless because of an immediate disasterand looses everything that they treasure : I barely got my mother out of her house alive and I listened to my cat of(20yrs.) cry until his voice stopped. In the end, a firefighter brought him out to me and laid him down across my out stretched arms; I just broke down into tears. A fire had destroyed my home.Have you ever stopped to think about the victims of the last five hurricanes that struck our gulf coast states & Mexico, as well as our southern to eastern seaboard states? Then all the fires that burned down thousands of homes up north? In just a few days, much of what people teasured was turned into a pile of toothpicks by the winds, innundated with flood waters or reduced to complete ash by the fires.Within a few days, you are left with NOTHING ; but maybe a pile of debt? Thus, there are two types of homeless people; homeless street people and the victims of an unpredictable disaster.I was adisaster victim and not a homeless street person ; for many of the latter, such is a culture and I can prove it anyday! Ive seen it from the inside out, so I can speak fairly.I dont remember how -exactly - I wound up at PATH (I think that I had some help from someone at the Gary and Mary West Senior Wellness Center and someone at St.Pauls in order to help get a roof over my head.).In the end, I was never talked to about a prescription that they misinterpreted, that I needed to be moved from my cubicle, as I was tired of being bullied. The stringent rules and regs. reminded me of a reform school like you see in a Hollywood production: These interim residents needed to be taught how to act in the real world.I was TOLD by a staff member that most were con men; that most couldnt be trusted and needed to prove themselves.I was lucky to have a roof over my head however, I always had an uneasy feeling while I was there, but I received little counseling. The language used by many of the interim mens residents, as well as a couple of the staff was despicable cursive gutter talk. There was also ample theft ( One interm resident, who had been there seven months, told me a number of true stories about stolen goods.). One of my android phones had the camera lens broken and another was stolen when I wasnt in my room ;a number of my medications were stolen too. I lost other items too. The staff warned me!Some of the mens hygiene problems were terrible; eventhough there were huge private showers, many rarely used them and then left them dirty after use : The sanation engineer told me that he was so tired of fixing manhandled equipment that, if the problem continued he was going to leave things as was! The laundry room equipment was oft broken too, due to carelessness. There was a crystal meth ring in the building as two residents told me the story. Also : Two ODs when I was there and one arrest too. There were some good classes offered to help these people get back on the right path to a better life however, many had the habit of arriving 30 or more minutes late; the staff finally cracked down - get there on time,or no more than 10 minutes late, or NO credit!Everyone there was supposed to get an apartment however, some people got better places than others ; those with higher V-SPDAT scores got some really nice places...I was offered very little help, even when I repeatedly asked, and one day I was handed an alumni card and basically told to leave. I guess the truth always hurts?I always felt uneasy around my cubicle room mates; disrespect was common. Many of the men there - the majority were about 20 to 45 years old - were homeless veterans who were irresponsible con-men, out to take whatever they could from our society ; they also filed constant grievances, in an an attempt to make the dedicated staff members look bad;PATH was short of staff too.

It is great place to get things aligned for someone who is facing a transition in life and needs help to put life after illness, break up, divorce, job loss, or just anything you may have faced. It is the best one out of Gods Extended Hand, St Vincents or Paul Mirable Center or Rescue Mission!!People have had ups and downs to say the least. There is a jail feel or herd like feeling somedays. It depends on you !They do house many people. Jessica is the best counselor with Stephanie and the men could use some softening in their ways. The food may send a person to the ER with chunky refrozen expired milk. A lot of the food id donated so BE CAREFUL what you eat! NO coffee now allowed and no drinks on the floor. You must leave 9-4 Monday through Friday and the early morning rise is something you can get used too. They do great things like provide structure, support, a third opinion, shampoos meals, linens, feminine hygiene. You can get a free cell phone with EBT or social security! clothing, help with disability, legal, EBT, general relief, court, and legal and SSI advocates and mental health referrals and programs for the veterans who served us too! They have some resources, and showers, beds, cubicles, and then transition to a single room occupancy and your own apartment. They fast track through section 8 and give you ideas where to apply for houses too. They offer yoga, art meditation, typing, computer labs, and allow the disabled and service pets and life skills, they will help you with a resume, budgeting, bible studies, and have little holiday get together parties . The laundry is free, once a week on the floor. YOu do get a very tiny chore. You have to serve breakfast or clean breakfast and meals offered at seven am and six pm. Service animals are allowed. You meet your counselor once a week. Most people are minding their business and staying focused. Smoking and working is allowed, there is no rehab or blackout dates. You get 90 days to get in and get out! the bedding and linens are provided. You must go the first Friday only of the month to try and get a space and follow up weekly. The doctors office is here, you get counseling, psychology, referrals, groups, and many classes with computer labs and printers to keep you busy.
