I was looking for bootcamp in a San Diego to help get me in shape for Summer and a friend recommended Gut Check Fitness. Their workout programs are amazing and I can already see myself getting more toned after just 3 weeks. I can’t wait to see how much I progress by June!
I joined Gut Check just to get back into shape in my 40s but what I gained was so much more. I joined a whole community of like-minded individuals that enjoyed working out hard. It gave me an appreciation for the outdoors, exploring trails and canyons that I never knew existed. It made me feel unstoppable. Five years later I still love getting that burn in my lungs from pushing myself to the limit. I was out of town traveling for work and I tried Orange Theory for a while. You get a decent workout at Orange Theory but it really doesnt compare to Gut Check. At the end of your workout, you havent gone anywhere. Youre still in the gym!! At a Gut Check class, you might run 3 miles in the canyons and get to enjoy the natural beauty and the fresh air... Aaaaah the fresh air... People dont talk to each other at Orange Theory either. there is really no social aspect. When I tried talking to other people or give someone an attaboy, they looked at me like I was psycho. At Gut Check I love how everyone is motivating each other and cracking jokes at the same time. Its entertaining and helps get you through a tough workout. Gut Check gives you that competitive push that you just dont get anywhere else.
I had grown bored of my current gym routine. I just wasn’t seeing any type of real results. I decided to try out Gut Check Fitness because I had heard great things about their outdoor bootcamp workouts. My first workout was like going from 0 to 100. It didn’t even compare to the workout I used to do at the gym!
Gut Check is an awesome workout with awesome people. I look forward to the mornings when I do have the chance to work out with them.
