The gym is five minutes from me - very handy. If you are really focused on your fitness, being in a basement is not a detriment. The personal trainer Ali is great, I am showing visible results after a few weeks. Personal training is very reasonably priced.Equipment is of excellent quality, kept clean and spaced reasonably apart. Great locker room, easy in and out.
The Training Club has to be the best gym in San Diego! From beginners to veteran gym members - everyone is welcomed and feels comfortable at this friendly, professional fitness club. The hours and equipment accommodate all lifestyles and levels of fitness. The classes are top notch and the menu is always being updated to meet the needs of the members. The staff and all of the instructors are consistently helpful and take a personal interest in your well-being. I give The Training Club 5 stars!
I love coming here. I feel comfortable here. Everyone is so nice and helpful. Equiment is always clean. Classes are fun! The ladies in the day care are wonderful! My son loves going there too! Judy is always there to help with machine and any other questions i have. :)
This is an excellent gym. The staff here is super friendly. The equipment is clean, well-kept and easy to use. The mens locker room is immaculate. Towels are plentiful and free. The spin classes are excellent. Ive been to classes with three different instructors, and they are all great. The bikes are in great condition, and there are shoes for you to borrow.Ive also used their weight-lifting equipment. Perhaps not the most exhaustive list of equipment/machines, but it was plenty sufficient for me.Definitely one of the better gyms Ive been to.
This club has gone downhill since the most recent change in ownership. Classes continue to be cancelled without notice and the class schedule has become very limited. Where this was once a boutique health club well worth the price, it is now a member mill with limited class options. Also, the facilities are becoming run down and the workout rooms are very dirty. The only good story to this gym are the great trainers and members which is why I give this place two stars instead of one.
This is by far the best gym I have ever belonged to. All the classes I take are included in my membership. I never have to fight for a bike in spin class like other clubs I used to be a member of. The staff and owner are extremely helpful and are truly interested in your health and well being. And best of all its not a scene like the other gyms in the area. It is very nicely laid out. You can go from machine to machine and never have to wait in line for one.
I am a new joiner to this gym and I love it. I work out frequently, but I am by no means an expert. I moved to San Diego last year, but I have tired of running outside every day. I was looking for some variety in my daily routine. I like this gym for a variety of reasons: It is small and not overwhelming. While too few options is not fulfilling, a giant gym is not comfortable. Additionally the classes are intense. I am the type of person that doesnt want to waste my time. When I work out I want to burn as many calories as possible and the classes here do not disappoint. That is not to say that you cannot take it at your own pace but overall the instructors provide a great workout. Also, the people are so nice. Everyone. All of the trainers and employees have been so welcoming and cordial, and also the regulars are so friendly! I have never been to a gym where anyone wanted to talk to me, but here everyone makes you feel like part of the group right from the beginning. And lastly, the facility is spotless. The locker rooms are pristine and the machines are always clean. I am very particular and everything is up to my standards.
Ive belonged to the Y and World Gym and this is SO much better. It has all of the equipment and no waiting. The locker rooms are the nicest Ive seen and you cant beat the friendly staff.
This is an awful gym. The workout room is small, the staff are unhelpful, and worst of all, they will lie to you multiple times. I signed up for a free trial pass and when I got to the gym, I was told that I would have to pay for my free trial, but that if I cancelled within 3 days I would be refunded in a week. This was the first red flag and I should have walked out of there then, but alas, hindsight is 20/20. I tried to cancel after a day, but was told I would have to physically come into the club to cancel. So I went to the club, cancelled, and then.... nothing. No refund. I called back after 10 days and asked about my refund, and I was informed that my refund would take 30 days. Yes, 30 days to refund what was supposed to be a free trial membership. This alone is unacceptable. Well, 30 days later I did receive my refund and I thought I was done with this club. Nope. Around 2 weeks later I see a charge on my card for $95. I spent over an hour on the phone with National Fitness, their billing company, who informed me that Ideal Fitness had never told them I cancelled and so in their system I was signed up for a 24 month membership at $95 per month. What?! I called Ideal Fitness and they told me they had not cancelled my membership properly, and even admitted that this has happened to many other members. They also told me that there is no way for them to issue me a refund except to wait another 30 days. All for a free trial...
Ive been using this gym for two years, and its pretty excellent: squeaky-clean, well-maintained, with a friendly and dedicated staff. Super accessible location in the Carmel Valley area off El Camino with easy parking. Free weights, exercise machines and group classes to meet your needs. Try it, youll likely stay.
The facility and the program are not bad. But you have to beware. When I registered, I knew I will leave San Diego in 6 months.A guy there told me that just register the one year membership and the payment was monthly-basis and I could quit whenever I want with 30 day early notification. But when the time was up, they just gave me a number and told I should call a company I dont even know the actual relation with this center. I should have made another call to another place.I dont know why I should contact a different point from whom I make the contract with.Lousy system or malicious intention.
The training club has everything you want in a gym! The members are mature and helpful, the owner is always available and very positive, the classes are tough, the instructors are amazing, everything is very clean, and for a monthly cost you get access to all of this!!! By far, the best gym I have ever been a member of!!
I have been a member of The Training Club since I moved to San Diego 6 months ago. I searched for gyms close too me and that had spin classes. The minute I entered the Club I was welcomed by Joe, the owner. He was helpful, informative and welcoming. The Club, while being in the lower level of an upscale office building, is a tranquil environment that is definitely better than an overcrowded understaffed 24 Hour Fitness type of facility. The Club is impeccably clean. Amenities are very nice from the furnished towels to the beautiful bathrooms and changing areas. Classes are incredible with Joe and Mark leading some of the best spin classes around. There is a Rocit fitness circuit and classes are available for Gravity, TRX, martial arts and step. If you enjoy an upscale facility without attitude this is the place for you.
Simple, clean, easy to work out. No stepford husbands here. Luv it, best bang for your buck.
I Love you guys, I feel great inside and out. I have never flt better, and I have lost 5lbs. And I give you guys 5 stars, you guys are great!
Worst gym ever. They enroll u as a new member in their office but when u tell them u have to cancel the membership they give u some other number and a long process. It is stupidity to go through a long process just to cancel a gym. dont trust whatever they say when u join they will not help u at all when u want to cancel the gym
14 years and. Counting as a hidden gem
Was told the membership was cancelled and it was not. 6 calls and 3 hours later, it is still not resolved and the person claiming to be the manager, is not.
