To start, I have to say that A-Star staffing is a great agency to find a job thats the right fit for you. They match you with prospective assignments based on your education, skill-set, interests, and preferred career path. I highly recommend finding temp employment through A-Star because for 1, short-term temporary assignments give you the opportunity to explore different positions and companies without committing to a permanent position straight away, and 2, A-star temporary assignments are a great way to get your in with great companies that recognize and reward hard work. Though an assignment may start out temporary in nature, theres always a chance for full-time employment.Ive had 2 assignments through A-star Staffing, both of which were either temp-to-hire or strictly temporary in nature. Ive been lucky enough to receive full-time offers on both assignments matched by A-Star. The 2nd of which happens to be my current position that I couldnt be happier in. The ladies at A-star Staffing are all class acts and conduct themselves professionally, while at the same time make you feel welcome and well informed in regards to your assignments. I cant thank them enough for connecting me with this opportunity!

Worst staffing agency ever. They have awful clients who are cheap and already on their way out of business. Amanda couldnt care less how employees are treated and will stick you where ever just to make a quick buck. Their time card system is outdated and inconvenient, they do not invest in making anything better. Its obvious everyone at A Star are doing the bare minimum. Only good if you need a week or two of working menial labor, but even Labor Ready would be better.

Just wanted to update my horrible experience with A-Star, they intentionally made it extremely inconvenient for me to collect my last check, for over 3 weeks. I had to go to the post office 3 times and then finally to their office (which is very difficult to access fyi) because they didnt print the check out correctly. Now Im short on gas & my rent is late bc of their ineptitude.My only hope is that they are shut down before they have the opportunity to damage anyone elses career & ability to support themself. I lost my unemployment and almost my home because of my choice to work for A-Star, worse decision Ive made tbh.

Weve used A-Star for temporary staffing for many years. Their staff is always on time, present themselves very professionally, do great work, and are a delight to have around. Ive tried a lot of temp companies and A-Star Staffing is the best Ive found in San Diego.

This was a 5 star company a few years ago, but how they take care of those signing with them has gotten much worse since Amanda is involved. As prior reviews stated they will not respond to your needs, but when they need something/ forget something from you, you will get called at the last minute and expect to respond instantly by showing up at their office or when someone calls you after business hours. Coworkers of mine also noted 6pm calls for jobs the next morning rather than any advanced notice. As well (comparing notes with coworkers) they also will not call you regularly, so be prepared to keep looking for a job and/or sign with other agencies as well.

Agreed; dont waste your time with this company. Receptionist didnt even ask our name or our contact details. Just, If we have anything well get back to you. Unhelpful.

Most staffing/temp agencies are a waste of time. THIS staffing/temp agency is worse than most. Dont expect your calls to be returned or for them to have any opportunities that pay much more than minimum wage. Youd be better off on your own than using these tards; dont waste your time or gas money because they are worthless.

I loved them, they treat you really well and take the time to understand your needs. I strongly recommend them.

Not a good company, they do not respond to you. After I took the time to come in and test with them, I never heard anything else from them and every time I called for Amanda, she was always on the phone. Dont waste your time with this company at all.

This place is useless, they didnt even have the decency to give me a call back after I continuously called them asking for their assistance in acquiring a job.

It is not realy good conpany.

Loved it. Supper recommended.
