So far so good. They answer their phones, so thats already better than some! They had everything I needed for my Volvo, oil, filters, ATF, paint... They are going to be doing a full service on our Volvos soon, so I will update after that.
This place is awesome.I am restoring a older offshore boat. They have been very helpful.
Admiralty Marine replaced my Volvo D1-30 two years ago and it has never giving me a problem.I waited a while to write this review to see if there were going to be any issues... None. They did it fast and on the preset schedule we had.I would recommend their services.
Ive used Admiralty Marine for several years when ordering parts and while the prices are typically costly (genuine Volvo Penta parts) they usually have or order the parts I need in a timely fashion. Ive also used their repair services. The certified technician came out to my boats location and performed the work in a timely manner and was courteous and professional. He even provided lots of maintenance tips and recommendations.
I will never go here again. I even own a boat wiring service company and will tell all my customers never go here. I have bought parts here for past 4 months and each time it got worse. There customer service is blunt. They wont price match because they dont need to. Last time i was there i had an issue because they charged me 15$ shipping with out telling me. You have to wait 10 minutes every time Im there for them to finish a phone call. Today put the icing on the cake when I ordered a part 11 days ago and to drive from east county to get it and 1 of 2 parts where not ordered. I called friday they said they where in. So he says it will be here in a few days. Why should I have to wait longer for a part I ordered and paid shipping for. When I ask to over night it he wont. No longer will I support this business in any fashion or way.
Terry Albee who owns Admiralty Marine is a smooth operator. His business model is based on speculation and overselling. I spent $20k on my Volvo IPS system with Admiralty Marine before I recognized what he was doing. I consider myself a fool for trusting his long-winded and overly technical bloviating. What finally ended our relationship was his insistence that I needed yet another $5,800 worth of IPS work that a $500 oil pressure sensor ended up fixing.Very short-sighted for a business owner to front-load a relationship by overcharging and taking advantage of trust. He has lost my business forever. Do yourself a favor and get a second opinion before you commit to having Admiralty Marine fix your boat. Try Cogswell Marine instead. Theyre much more honest and down to earth.
A great place to work.
Had the part I needed. Great service.
Great bunch of guys
