Decent car wash, doesnt get it spotless but they give you rags to clean with. Definitely not a fan of the windshield machine as it seems to have left small chips in my windshield. When i say small i mean like sand size pieces but allot of them to where u can notice. Friendly staff though and great do it yourself accessories.

+I’ve only ever gone for the basic wash - good but misses the wheels. But, they have towels to clean anything.-As soon as they think your time is up they start playing a notice over the speakers. This place cannot keep up with the demand for stations. Not my fault you don’t have enough for the volume of cars that come through.

Never coming here again. Ive been several times the past year and when I pay for the mid-level wash they scrub the back windshield with a brush. I expected the same thing today, but it was kind of slow and I guess the employee didnt feel like doing it.I cant exactly say anything while going through the wash, so I brought it up afterwards. I specifically needed the back window scrubbed, it was really dirty and the reason I paid for more than the basic wash.The employee told me they didnt offer this service. I explained I had received it several times in the past. They said its self-service. I asked why they have a brush sitting right next to the start of the wash. The guy then shrugged and said, Sometimes we scrub, sometimes we dont.I asked, Well how do I know if Im going to get the service I paid for?The employee got upset, pointed at my car, and said What do you want? Its clean. I walked him over to my car and showed him all the spots still remaining.He then offered to let me go through the wash again but I declined. I wouldnt be surprised if they just run everyone through with a basic wash no matter what you pay.I understand the concept of a self-service car wash, but the employee trying to gaslight me was ridiculous. Treating customers with respect would have avoided all of this. Hope this place finally goes out of business.

Almost got rear-ended by a car because the car wash operator wasn’t paying attention to how close they were putting each car on the conveyor belt through the car wash. The conveyor belt mechanism that pulls the cars through slipped and the car behind me almost hit me. They stopped the machine and the person had no clue what they were doing. Had me take my car out of neutral and put it in park. I’m like, that’s not neutral, that’s park. Then after being confused, they asked me to put it in neutral. I was like, ok, it was in neutral until you had me put it in park. So I put it back in neutral then they restarted the conveyor belt. Be very careful if you go here as they only care about how many cars they can cram through at a time, not your safety. Also, the car wash operator seems clueless.

I knew I had to write a review for this place. I actually found it on accident l. I needed to get a super quick car was somewhere off the freeway and found this place. It was perfect! I’m glad I skipped the gas station drive through options I saw along the way.The car wash is very affordable. You can even buy monthly passes, which I liked. They gave me a super strongly scented air freshener which I really liked. And then after going through the wash (no, you don’t have to get out of your car!), you can pull up to one of the vacuum stations, which is free. They provide clean rags you can use to dry and clean up your car, too!The whole experience was quick, convenient, and just overall amazing. I live about 15 mins away, but I’m considering buying a monthly pass :)

Quick and nice car wash. It misses some spots on the rear of my 4runner but still a lot easier than washing the whole thing by myself.

One days its good and some days its not good due to numerous cars and not enough space to park to vacuum your car. Otherwise, still 5 stars for me.

Great place. They walk up and help you select a service on the machine and pay. Personally I don’t want the help; I want to read the services offered and I feel rushed with the attendants pressure but I know they’re just doing their job... it’s a quick wash through the tunnel and then there’s self service vacuum and towel stations. Only once did I go and have to circle a few times and wait for a while to get a vacuum. Gets the job done.I like it here for when I don’t have time for a touchless drive through wash at another place.

I took too long to Dry and vaccum with radio on. Battery died. Average car cant jump me BUT one if the attendants inside help with an electric jumper. Nice one. Jumped me asap. Thank you!

Very efficient operation! After the wash, theres vacuum hoses and towels right there. Always clean, staff is friendly, I dont see any turnover so they must be happy too. They give you free air freshners on occasion, I have like 15 now lol. Today the guy that guides you saw it and cracked up.

Best car wash in San Diego. The drive-through wash works great and the service is excellent. They also have an abundance of free towels and free vacuums to use after the wash.

I went there for a car wash. As I was drying my car I noticed there was scratches on the black paneling on the door. This is a brand new car and the second washing the scratches weren’t here before. When I told the attendant. He got very argumentative with me and just started touching all over my car and got it all dirty. Look at these deep scratches in my door. BY the way it’s a brand new car SECOnD wash!!!

They don’t know how to talk to the people specially there employed I am a member with but I have anther car I pulled-in there I try to do just a vacuum for the trunks and the guy came pulling the vacuum hose from my hand he doesn’t even know how to talk English and I told him I am a member but on other car all what I want just to vacuum the trunks bad service

Edited: Love that they have a monthly subscription service and does a great job. I haven’t been able to stop and use the vacuums/drying stations after, as it is always completely full when I drive out of the car wash. Update: I usually stop on my way after work, very convenient and never had any issues finding a spot to dry and vacuum.

Just started coming here, had a few questions regarding what was offered here and I was given a full breakdown. I appreciate the fact that this is a self service car wash, I can get in and out without waitinging on anyone, very convenient. This is the 3rd time I came by and the place is closed. False advertising- change your posted hours. Says they are open till 8pm and I get there at 7:46 to just run thru quick wash to make my membership worth it and they are already closed. Cancelling my membership- not worth auto pay!!! Just pay 5 bucks when they happen to be open or go elsewhere.Update: they have resolved this issue. Hours are clear, even when they recently changed the hours, they were on top of it, making sure it was updated on Google maps. Also, they dont shut down 15 minutes early anymore. Sometimes I just want a quick wash with no vacuum, so its nice to run through the wash on my way home. Great job! Thanks for making it convenient and clear!

I have been coming here for years. I had a coupon for a detail so I took my car in a couple days ago. I have 3 kids and my car had not been detailed in a very long time, it came out brand new, the staff was very very kind and hard working. The manager John is a customer service pro. He was very friendly and checked up on my car to make sure it turned out good. They also have a nice waiting area with couches while waiting for your car.

I’ve gone a few times since they converted to the automated wash + self serve wipe down model. The car wash gets much of the dirt off, but definitely NOT everything. Each time the wash has not managed to remove the little yellow pollen spots. The rags are nice for interior dusting but left the windows smeared. Last time I had the minivan washed after going on a trip that included driving several miles down a dusty dirt road. The wash did not get the tires clean so they still look pretty dirty. The vacuums are convenient and work fairly well. It’s reasonably cheap (though they discontinued the $5 after 5PM special). I’m disappointed that they appear to have eliminated a bunch of jobs by automating the wash and outsourcing the drying and interior work to the customer, but you do have the ability to make sure things are done to your liking. There is a sign stating a 10 minute limit on the vacuum / dry stations though I have not seen it enforced. It takes me just about 30 minutes to wash, dry and vacuum a fairly clean compact (Nissan Leaf) car alone and I’m not super thorough on the exterior. Take another person to help if you want to knock it out quickly.

This is the best of all drive through car washes. The car gets clean and there is a unlimited supply of microfiber towels to finish off the wash. I drive a long ways to come here.

Today was about my fourth or fifth time using this express wash system, and I love it! I finally decided to get a membership, which costs me $14.99 a month as opposed to the one-time $8 fee I was paying about 2 or 3 times a month anyway. The wash always does the job and they have unlimited towels ready for you when you finish the wash.

Ive been very happy with the service here. The wash is great and always cleans my car even when its been a while, doesnt cost a lot, and is very quick too. Even when there is a long line and it seems like it is going to take up too much of my time, I still get through the wash very quickly. Highly recommend this express concept to anyone who hasnt tried it

The Super Wash left large areas of dirt on the hood, the roof, and the back of my car. Its what I would expect from a two-dollar wash, not one that costs twelve-dollars.

I started using the monthly pass here after using a similar service in OC. The wash is decent and will keep your car clean if you come around at least once a week. Not great for a one time wash though. The vacuums and provided towels are great. The only improvement would be to provide covered drying/vacuum area for customers. It gets really hot in the afternoon.

I been here only once and I already have my monthly pass, is super easy.Go directly to the entrance in your car and pay in the automated machines. You can have a single wash or a montly pass. Then the system will give you two receipts one for your records and other for one of the staff members. They will put in the windshield a sticker with a sensor, so next time the door will open automatically.Once you are out of the tunnel you drive to one of the detail spots.WARNING. You have to do it all by yourself, if you want people to dry your car and detail it, this car wash is not for you.5 stars for convenience!

My car didn’t get clean the first time through. Bee poop is hard to get off. I asked to drive through a second time and was yelled at and told to buy a membership. This was my 3rd or 4th visit there, and I was appalled at how I was treated. I was told that I was stealing from them and that I needed to pay for a membership to be able to get my car clean. The manager relented after scolding me and let me go through a second time. Once before I had a similar situation at Soapy Joe’s. They looked at me and apologized for their automated machine not getting my car clean and were incredibly gracious about letting me run it through one more time. I normally pay for full service or have a crew come to my house. I was thinking of getting a membership with Genie as the location is fantastic, but I don’t want to give them any more money after the way I was treated. They would have and could have had a customer with a more expensive subscription now that I have a newer car and want to keep it fresh, but it won’t be at Genie. I would rather drive further (and go to Soapy Joe’s) or spend more (home washes) to be not treated like a thief.

This was by far one of the worst washes ever, it was super fast and didn’t clean anything on my car. It left soap spots, all over my car and I can see still see the dirt on my window.

The worst experience ever. Unprofessional and bad attitude employee. My car is still dirty after wash. The drying system is ridiculous. You will have to dry your car by yourself. If you are looking for the expensive car rinse. Yes, this is it. Even the car wash in gas station is better than this one.

Car actually gets washed all over unlike some places that leave the back end untouched. Lots of vacuum and drying stalls. A few bucks more than competitors, but worth it.

So, so car wash, but for $8 I guess thats what you get. When I exited the car wash, the drying/vacuum stations were full, so I left planning to return anther time. Went back a day later, and the manager treated me as if i was a thief stealing something I hadnt paid for. Even after I explained what had happened he continued to yell at me and said I needed a wash first. There are lots other choices, so I will find one where politeness is included.

The good: Service was friendly. The exterior, the dash and the console were all cleaned well. The place was busy, but they took our keys right as we pulled in, so that we could wait inside while they moved our car forward in the line. Overall trip took about 10-15 minutes. The price wasn’t awful ($15.99 for a basic wash and vacuuming).The bad: The inside was very poorly vacuumed. The primary reason we go to full-service car washes is to get the inside thoroughly vacuumed (we have a dog who sheds). The inside after leaving this place looks nearly the same as when we arrived. Probably will be more inclined next time to find a different car wash that offers self-serve vacuums.

My first time here very happy with the service. This is a self interior clean wash so you drive into the wash tunnel and the parking lot has vacuums and towels. I also noticed this place has a detailing center on the left when I drove up. Ill defiantly be back to try that out!

I like this place. Especially because they provide towels to wipe down your vehicle. I’ll suggest bringing some type of liquid spray just in case you have things in your car you want to wipe down. I star deducted because I have not experienced they customer service to give them a full 5star.

This is a review for the newly automated Genie Car Wash in Rancho Penasquitos. I really enjoyed the service prior to the automation and got a good car wash inside and out and was always treated with respect. OK, so Ill try to adjust to the more do-it-yourself car wash. I have tried it 3 times and every time I have been treated as if I cant hear and am stupid by the attendant directing you into the wash.. No polite instructions here. This last time my hub cap fell off as I was entering the track and the attendant snarled at me that it was my fault and that I didnt enter the track correctly. He pounded away at the hub cap and then shoved it at me and said that it was broken. I completed the wash and then asked someone inside (the manager/owner?) for help. He came out and when he was unable to attach the hub cap immediately started to blame the tire installer for faulty installation of the tire and so the hub cap would not fit. (It was fine when I entered the wash. I was tired of the initial yelling and poor customer service so took my car over to Discount Tire and they immediately, with a smile and polite interactions put the hub cap on and showed me how to snap it in. Now there is good customer service. Sorry new Genie Car Wash, but I will go where I dont get a yelling each time.

Pretty nice car wash. It’s a automated car wash and your dry and vacuum yourself. They provide damp dry cloths perfect to dry car and wipe down interior. Only thing missing is compressed air available at other similar car washes.

They were quick, not very customer friendly. When they were done, there was a big smudge on my back window that they made that I had to clean myself with my own microfiber cloth. I stayed in their parking lot to get it so they could see what I was doing. When the guy who told me my car was done handed me the keys, he asked me for the receipt and I felt like he didnt believe I bought the crappy service they just gave me. Never coming here again. Oh and they didnt even vacuum my drivers side! They charge too much for the bad service they give. Thumbs down!! Very disappointed. Dont go here or youll be wasting your money!

Always fast and courteous. Attention to detail has never slipped when Ive gone there. Unfortunately my cars get a lot of dog hairs and they make sure and vacuum it up every time.

Just moved here from out of state, its nice having a wash just down the hill from where I live and where my kids go to school. They even have a detailing center I used the other day and I got my headlights defogged, came out great!

Because prices here are high I only ask for full service once. I was surprised that they were done quicker than the exterior wash only. On examination, many things were not wiped clean. The man said he only clean cup holders but not the ones in the doors. The 2016 Camry has 4 on or near the arm rest and 6 in the 4 doors. I guess 10 cup holders are just too many to wipe if you only paid $15. I told them that I just moved here and I wont be back. Is it really that tough to find a decent full service car wash around here?

Affordable and easy. There vacuum machines sucked, up all my carpet dirt. Ha ha. Montly pre pay means you never have to live with a dirty car.

They do a great job every time. Use the Carmel Mountain location, and it is much improved since they took over from Bettys car wash. Friendly people, good service. Purchased some of the discount coupon vouchers and they are a great deal on Groupon and others.

I go to them all the time and they normally do a very good job. Last time when I took my Tesla, they tried to sell their hand-wash for $50. I didnt take it. They are very busy on weekends so plan on waiting for up to 30 minutes.

This place is awesome! Dont be confused by the old reviews from last year, it used to be called Bettys and they were terrible! Give this place a try they do a great job and if there is something youre not satisfied with, they will pull youre car into the detail stall and make sure you are completely satisfied! I rate them 5+ stars!

Basic or Express Wash seems ok. But the detailing packages are pretty overpriced. They charged me almost $100 for something I usually get for around $50 elsewhere.I also ended up losing one of my carpets somehow, but that might be an honest mistake. I saw them remove it to clean.The workmanship was fair, so they did earn back a total of 3-stars.In summary, while coming here isnt a bad decision, its definitely not worth the price. Id probably go elsewhere.

I stopped by at the Carmel Mt Genie Car Wash. Paid $17.99 for Super Wash. Went in to pay and I saw literally car was already outside. Within 2 minute guys were signaling it was done. Total time was taken less than 10 minute. There were water on the edge of the door and inside of the car was not even vacuumed. Back seat wasnt in the right position so it was moving. I had to stop and adjusted it.When it was opened the service was excellent but later it is getting beyond horrible. I spent $20.00, tip for $2.00, just for wetting my car.Disappointing!!!!! For todays not even one star is worth.

This review is for the new automated car wash and self service vacuums and microfiber cloths, since they remodeled in early 2018. First time visit. I went after 5pm for their $5 after 5pm discount on their standard $8 wash. The wash was pretty typical, got all of the loose dirt but left the heavy grime and tree mess. The rinse and dry got rid of all the residual soap, which is more than I can say for the local Soapy Joes in RB where I have had to hand wash the whole car after leaving.The complimentary towels were plentiful and slightly damp, good for getting rid of the leftover water droplets, and taking care of those annoying yellow spots of bee poop on my window and hood.The vacuum stations were much more open and available than at any other time Ive visited any Soapy Joes location, which is great for me since I am very impatient.Well worth the$5 for me!
