We had a great time to paddle with our dog.Pat is excellent teacher.!! He explained everything very clear. Its my first time here.All staffs are super friendly.The place is nice and clean.The price is reasonable include with all equipment.The restaurant is great too.Wonderful experience.Highly recommend!!!

This place is awesome, great customer service and selection. My son (7) and I had a great time on the kayak, paddle board and hydrobike. If youre looking for great fun with the family. I highly recommend them.

Went out for my first kayak lesson with my dog. It was a fun experience and will be back for more lessons.

A hidden gem in mission bay. Had a live band next to the aqua shop. We did the hydro bike and it was Soo much fun. It was a little hard trying to turn the bike but you’ll get the hang of it. The staff were very friendly, we got close to the sea lions, biked under 1 bridge, we were gonna bike to the 2nd bridge but our propellor kept getting stuck in sea weed. Overall lots of fun, we would definitely do this again!!!

Check in was smooth sailing. Staff was friendly and offered restroom prior to boarding. I reserved a tandem hydro bike online for about $50. Everything was very organized and timely. The bike seat was too tall for my son, so they switched it out for a youth size. I wish they would’ve checked my seat because it was loose. I struggled with it the whole time. I even tried to fix it myself, with no luck. I also brought my small 25 pound dog. It was her first time and she was a nervous, but they helped all 3 of us get on safely. Not much being done with sanitizing between guests. If they cleaned/checked equipment beforehand, my seat probably would’ve been fixed. We rented for 1.5 hours. It was a beautiful day and the current was calm. Much easier to maneuver than a kayak. I wish there was better signs on how to get back to home base, because we kept getting caught up in the private boat area. Other than that, it was a memorable adventure! We will definitely be back!!

My Son surprised me with a Kayak class . Pat our instructor was great! I recommend him if you are a 1st time student like me!Everything was explained very well. I will definitely return for the 2 hr lesson!1 hr was not enough. :-) . So much fun!!

The check in was smooth and the kayaking was really fun and enjoyable. Only issue was towards the end of my rental period. As I turned into the dock area the assistant there was rushing me to bring the kayak in so he can hand off my kayak to another customer. I told him I still had 20 minutes left for my rental but he insisted that once I turn into the dock I needed to return the kayak. I was not informed of any rules that required me to give up the kayak at the dock area even though there was time left on my rental period. I was still at the entry trying to take pictures and was unable to due to his insistence. He was also very rude about the whole thing. All the other employees were nice and friendly.

Nice place to do water sports. Lots of parking available. Nice staff and equipment. We did kayak today for two hours. They provide everything you need. It is really near the dock where sea lion rest. Nice experience.

My daughters, age 9 and 18, took SUP lessons and had a BLAST! They went from zero experience to stand up paddling, in less than a half hour. They got to spend the rest of the lesson paddling around the marina. I was comfortable with how well they were taken care of and the level of attention they received. I cannot say enough great things about Aqua Adventures. I recommend to anyone that wants to take lessons or just rent equipment!

Very friendly staff, super convenient location with ample amount of parking. Also, one of the rare places that has a lot of hydro bikes. Have been here 2-3 times and is definitely my fav spot to do any water activity in the bay ! Highly recommend !

Very easy to get set up with kayaks and paddle boards. If you dont want to bring your stuff on the water with you, you can store it in an area near the kayaks.

Had a blast! Definitely coming back to do it again. We rented the hydro bikes. It was a great introduction to a water activity. The hydro bike rentals were in really good shape. Everyone was friendly and willing to explain the rental process. We rode the hydro bikes next to a dock. We got the ability to see Sea Lions up close! Fun memories and a great way to kick off summer.

I was lucky to get a one-on-one lesson from Pat who was an experienced and enjoyable teacher. I was so pleased to learn from him and feel more confident to do independent trips moving forward.

They were detailed and extremely friendly. Easy to find. Easy to check in. All products rented are on site and easy to go from the dock. I was worried I had to transport using my car but easy adventure without any hassle. Will be back for more water adventure. Then enjoy the bar and grill right next door. Perfect day out!

We rented Hydra bikes from aqua adventures over the weekend and road on the water of Mission Bay. What a great time we had! We took out a tandem bike which has two riders side by side with enough room for our small dog on a platform in between the two bikes. Aqua adventures provided life jackets for us and our dog! There are small compartments on each bike with enough room to for snacks, drinks and a towel. You can pack a lunch and find a beach on the bay to stop and have a picnic. The staff was friendly and helpful and got us underway with no issues. The Hydra bikes are faster than I thought they would be, of course this depends on the pedal power which you are providing. My partner and I are in relatively good shape so pedaling for most of the time was not a problem. You can also just float around and pedal lightly and just hang out on the bay if thats what you want to do.

All good from easy reservation online to getting there and checking in and to the dock. Only thing that can make it better would be better seats for the bikes. Rented the tandem for my girlfriend and me and both of our butts were hurting pretty quickly. In case you’re wondering if these things flip easy, they don’t it would be very difficult to try and flip these even with a wake from another boat so don’t be scared to bring your phone or a drink with you. There is two cup holders on each bike and a small storage that can fit sandals, phones or even a small bag of snacks.

My two sons and my niece had a paddleboard lesson with Pat on 6/28 and enjoyed it so much that we brought them back today for a paddleboard wildlife tour with Pat. They had an awesome time and saw sea lions, birds, and fish as well as a gorgeous view of Mission Bay. A big thank you to Aqua Adventures and especially to Pat!

We rented the acquabikes and it was lot of fun. We could even bring our dog with us, which is always a plus. I can not post pictures because we left our phones in the car but the bikes have a small compartment were you can put your wallet and phone safely. They also have cup holders in case you want to bring your drink along. Booking, checking in and out was easy and there is plenty of parking space around. We would definitely come back.

We had a good time! Reservation was easy to do online. Our pup was satisfied. Lots of tourists and there was a line so get there early! A map would have been nice to have so we could visualize exactly how the bay looked- where we could explore, etc.

Great value. Friendly staff. Quiet and spacious location on Hospitality Point, Mission Bay. Lots of street and dirt lot parking.Store front is very clean and had lots of items for purchase for the day and future water crafting.Could have used a friendly reminder as to which aisle to return to and how to respect the sea lions we saw along the way. A map on the wall would have been nice as where to paddle/bike to after leaving the dock.Had a great Day at the Bay with my family on my birthday! Well will return.

My friends and I had a blast with the hydro-bikes! The hour and a half time slot was plenty of time for us to ride around the bay and enjoy ourselves. The staff was great and helpful. I will definitely be back.

We booked a stand up paddleboard lesson with Pat and it was AMAZING! We got A+ lessons but also got right out on the water and got to see some beautiful wildlife. Pat was very specific in teaching us how to balance, paddle, etc. and we didnt fall off the board once! This place was wonderful and Id highly recommend requesting Pat as your instructor!

Had a great experience with Aqua a few years ago and again today. Reservations are easy to make and the staff do try to get you into your rental as soon as possible. We came early so there was no wait. The kayaks are great. The hydro cycles could use some drivetrain maintenance. Overall it was a great value and fun experience renting with Aqua Adventures.

I have rented Aqua bikes here a few times and the team are so great to work with, I had to change times or days and they were very flexible. As for the bikes they are a lot of fun, easy to ride and great value for 90 minutes of fun on the bay.

Rented two kayaks and I accidentally booked the wrong day and they changed it without question. When I arrived at the shop everyone was helpful and courteous. The marina was beautiful and the seals were out bathing in the sun. Id definitely rent from Aqua Adventures again.

First off every one of the crew from the store/check-in to the water staff were extremely friendly. We rented the Hydrobikes for two hours and that was plenty of time. I definitely will wake up tomorrow with site legs but every minute was well worth it. Next time I want to wear more water activity clothes and try the kayaking or partner up with a tandem bike. It was a great family fun day.

My wife and I took a sea kayaking class with Pat. Pat is an excellent instructor and was fantastic in teaching us how to confidently self-rescue and re-enter our boats. Both of us now feel a lot more at ease and more comfortable on the water as we continue to get started in sea kayaking. Pat was friendly, funny and a huge source of knowledge on sea kayaking. In addition, he was super patient with us and all our questions. I highly recommend Aqua Adventures if you want to get into kayaking.

My weekly experiences are wonderful!Both, my daughter and I thoroughly enjoy this outdoor, Covid friendly activity. The entire staff is incredibly friendly and very helpful. They have EXCELLENT prices, very affordable.I recently rented for a group of 17 over the busy Labor Day weekend andit went very smoothly. Ashley, the owner, along with Isabel, Joanna, Cindy and the rest of the team were attentive, pleasant and patient with us.We are also grateful for the kayak attendants (Josh, Richard, Joel) for helping us get on our kayaks; we were even given a free lesson to the few that had never kayaked before! It was much appreciated!I highly recommend this Aqua Adventure to both tourists and locals alike. San Diego is lucky to have this marvelous company!

The staff definitely goes above and beyond to help you and the prices are reasonable! This was my first time here and let alone kayaking. I took my dog Rosco for his 10th bday (hes been kayaking before and loves it). While trying to get into the kayak (Im a BIGGER girl so it wasnt an easy task lol) I ended up falling into the water, they held on to rosco for me and helped me out as well. Nailed it on the 2nd try with their help and started to have anxiety once I was in there. The young man and lady were so kind and patient, giving me words of encouragement and I was off. I only went for a short trip and came back. It was so fun! Upon leaving the girl I spoke with on the phone came over to us and asked if everything was all right. I explained what had happened and I that we would definitely be back again. It was a lot of fun since I got going. Rosco enjoyed his bday trip and his birthday biscuit! My daughter and I rented a pair of kayaks for three hours last weekend. We paddled over to the sandy beach near the Bahia and had a lunch that we had packed. We saw a pair of dolphins in the bay and had a great time. This is our second time renting from Aqua Adventures. The equipment is good, and the service is excellent. Well be back!

Excellent place to rent kayaks, paddle boards and other water crafts. They were very accommodating as we brought with us our foster dog who is scared of most things. They were very patient and gave our dog the distance she needed to feel comfortable and provided us with a life jacket for her. Over all wonderful staff and we were on the water shortly after arriving to the facility. Lots of free parking across the street. Would recommend this place for anyone looking to get on the water and anyone looking to try a water experience with their dog!

Had an awesome time with Aqua Adventures. We rented a tandem and single hydrobike and intended to take our dog out on the water; however, once we got on the bike, we realized that our dog was not going to play ball and kept wanting to jump in the water. We thought that this was going to ruin the day and that we would have to forfeit and cancel the reservation! But the owner and staff were all very understanding and accommodating! They offered to watch our dog while we went on our 2-hr hydrobike ride!! That was just phenomenal customer service and saved the day for us!!! We all ended up really enjoying our time on the water and our dog was safe and sound on the shore when we got back!! Highly recommend them for an awesome time!!

Super friendly staff. They wasnt very strict on the time. We had a mess to get our dogs into the kayak. And Aqua advantures were very patient with us. Great experience kayak with dogs. Will come again

When I got there the girl at the front was very rude. It seemed as if she was having a bad day and the look she was giving me was like if I kicked her dog or something and it was my first time going so I had no idea how anything worked but she didn’t explain anything unless I asked and she seemed bothered when I did and her answers were very short with an ugly attitude. Then they said if we’re a couple of minutes late they charge us an extra fee. I did like that they had vests for dogs and I had a nice time kayaking but the start of my first time going there and having a rude little brat being uninformative made me kind of regret going at first. When I Came back the people waiting outside were nice and helpful.

I had a 1 hour kayaking intro class with Pat. He was great. It really helped me. Class got started 15 minutes late. That not bad though they ask you to show 15 minutes early.

When you get to the shop, we get the feeling this is a family run joint. There is a tiny dog in a Hawaiian shirt sitting on a bed. But don’t approach, he’s not friendly. (Especially to children, he really hates children) waivers are signed online, which is fast and great. The tweens that run the shop of polite but still in training so besides them escorting you down to the gate that goes to the dock, the offer no help or information. When you get to the dock, the yell to the staff below what you will be doing there, but they don’t really wait for any acknowledgement or confirmation of understanding, so don’t expect those guys to know what you need. You could tell them anything, they would have no idea.Even if you’re on time for your booking you may still have to wait 30 minutes or more once you’re on the dock to get into your kayaks, we did. There was a group of summer camp kids getting outfitted and trained for there outing before us, so the shop really does nothing to time out there excursions. As we waited a long line of guests cued up behind us.Now, if you think it was just bad because we were behind a large group-maybe partially, that’s why I gave 2 stars instead of just one. The life vests we used were ill suited for kayaking, and super tattered. The one my daughter wore was totally sun baked, ripped, and huge holes on it. The one my son wore was in better condition, but was way too small. Because of the large group, there were no youth sized paddles left, so rowing for my two kids was much tougher than usual. The paddles we did get were bent and cracked and very disappointing.Now, it was our turn in the water, and the 16 year old boys helping us out were obviously flustered and busy so I will give them a little pass. BUT- they didn’t give any of us any instructions on where to go, ideas of where to head for, warnings about the wake or the channel, nothing-even when I asked! They just set us in the water and we were off.All of the kayaks in the website are photos of SIT IN kayaks. So we prepared and dressed for that type of day. BUT all the kayaks that we saw on the dock, including the set we ended up taking out that day were SIT ON. This was super frustrating. Especially considering the kind of water you face when you’re out there. Even in the no wake zone the boats are going over 10 and it was a matter of minutes before we were all soaked, so if you come, prepare with a suit, towels, etc.As for the bay itself, it’s really beautiful, and if you’re outfitted properly and given any kind of instructions you will love it. There are a couple of beaches you can reach without too much trouble and it’s so much fun. I however will go out with a different company next time I go.

We rented the Megalodon paddle board for two adults and two kids.  The thing was AWESOME!  It was our very first time paddle boarding, and the staff was awesome at explaining so wed understand how to maneuver the board, etc.  We saw a TON of sea lions, and received so many compliments on the water due to the size of the board.  Definitely an awesome experience.  Wed have gone back the following day had we had more time!  Super friendly staff, and a GREAT time for all ages!

We had the absolute best time on the hydro bikes. We rented a tandem, the chili bike and the one seaters as well. It was the best time on the bay!!!Aqua Adventures was very accommodating, responded timely and worked with us to make this a special day.

Such a great time! The staff here are very nice and super helpful. The store was clean and parking was not an issue. They are pet friendly and were very accommodating of our doggos. I definitely recommend if you are looking into a fun day activity!

It was so great that they allow dogs on these kayaks. We took our little puppy with us and they also provide life jackets for the puppers. We had our own so that was fine, but its so nice that they provide it at no extra cost. The bay was also very scenic as theres much wildlife surrounding the area so theres much to see out there on the waters! Highly recommend renting here.

Staff and owner were so incredibly friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable . Had a group of 12 and we all had an amazing time! Would 100% recommend and would come back on another vacation!

This was the most fun Ive had paddle boarding! So nice to not have to carry the board anywhere - you just walk down the dock and they have the board ready for you to hop on. Staff was friendly and we had a great time - Ill definitely be back!!

Have been to this place a couple times. Absolutely love it. Staff is great, kind, and helpful. And they even loan out dog life jackets for free. My pup loved seeing all the wildlife from the kayak! Will definitely be back because they’re awesome.

We did the hydrobikes which were really cool because we don’t have them back home and we were advised how exhausting they could be after a while but I was not told that things would get caught in the motor preventing me from truly enjoying the experience. We actually came back 30 minutes early due to not being able to fully enjoy the experience. If you’re interested, just go with the kayaks!

Loved the variety of equipment to choose from! And the prices were the best we found at Mission Bay. We rented a tandem kayak and the chili boat which was super fun. Great service and great experience. We plan to bring more of the family here again in the summer to enjoy all that Aqua Adventures has to offer :)

Such a fun experience riding on the megadon! It fits up to 7 people and we all were super scared riding on it at first! It does not flip easily and we all were having a blast! This is an once in a life time experience!

Really friendly, and the kayak and paddleboard we rented paddled well. Had a great time =) No lockers, but can leave flip flops/small bags at the dock.

Although every staff seemed very busy, they managed to still help us. This place is super cool though, I highly recommend it even if youre from San Diego. The one hour and a half for a hydro bike rental is worth it. You do truly see seals hanging out and playing in the water. It was a great experience and we would def do it again.

Great staff and cheap prices. We were looking to rent the tandem kayaks but they were short. We waited about 15 minutes for some to return and we were able to get our whole group out. Very fun experience!

Super cool people, as organized as can be on a crazy 4th of July. They had a good system and were nice and accommodating.. even gave us headlamps! Plenty of parking around the dock as well, with a restaurant next door if you need to fuel up before you paddle out.

Great place to rent gear, and about the only place in So Cal for real kayak skills lessons, like rolling.

My husband and I took out two granddaughters kayaking, it was all our first time and Aqua Adventures made it very easy. We arrived a little early and they were able to take us right away. I’m I big girl and not a spring chicken, so getting out of the kayak was pretty funny but the gentleman at the dock didn’t make me feel awkward for rolling around like a turtle getting out.

The experience of kayaking was very fun! The prices were reasonable and the process of renting was easy! Would definitely go here again.

Perfect location for kayaking. The water is calmer than going on the ocean and you may even get lucky and see some sea lions in Mission Bay! I’m hoping to make this a weekly activity and will definitely return to Aqua Adventures.

Very responsive and helpful. Pedal bikes were a break way to see mission bay with our dog. Dog life vest was included and he fit well on the small deck.

Staff were all very helpful. Equipment was in great condition. And the views, location, and sea life were outstanding. It made for a great Mothers Day outing with my son.

My girlfriend and I had a lot of fun kayaking, I got the kayak that fits 2. Take something to drink cause you start breaking a sweat. The only thing I would ask from the business is some maps cause there’s lots to explore and I’m not from San DiAgo so I didn’t know but I guess just check your phone maps lol. Anyhow I paid $40 for 2 hour and 30 min kayak but only kayak’d for about 1 hour and 30 cause we got hungry and thirsty.
