I love coming here and getting a rental, weather it would be a kayak, paddle board, sail boat or a catamaran. I always have so much fun and destress from whatever is going on with my everyday life.

Like the general consensus here, customer service is bad, especially the young lady at the front desk. Not even sure what we did wrong to deserve that sort of attitude. And the lack of instructions is also very confusing. Only came here because it opens half an hour later than Mission Bay Acquatic Center. Only come here if you have no other choice.

I rented a speed boat from this company & had a really great experience! I called the morning of & Was shocked to see they let me in on such a short notice! The customer service was great & the equipment was in perfect condition. I’ll definitely be renting from mission bay sports center in the future

Worst customer service ever! We showed up early to do paperwork. I handed over my credit card for a $1,0000 deposit. No one was clear on directions. We waited for them to fix the TV for the safety video, then we continued to wait for more paperwork, followed by more waiting for them to do maintenance on the jet-ski. A total of 2 hour, just waiting. They kept promising that it wasn’t going against our time. Finally we took off of the dock, only to be chased down by an employee 3 minutes. He told us we had to go back because our time was over. When I questioned him he said it was his managers call and I would have to speak with him. Long story short they only offered 20% off for us to come back the follow day or a full refund. They are all nice, but no one there has any common sense whatsoever! Worst experience at any rental place ever. Good luck if you go!

Ive rented boats at the other location before and was pleased. This location was a complete disappointment. I rented a pontoon boat this time around since we had a larger group and the boat was completely garbage. It was defective and did not work properly at all. If you hit the throttle, the motor would simply rev up and completely slip its gear. It took us forever to get out of the no wake zone and return. I took the boat straight back and reported the matter as we were barely floating and the person in charge, who ill loosely refer to as the manager, refused to credit us back our money stating it doesnt take that long to get back. Well it does when youre basically floating. As I was leaving I noticed that he went to the boat to test it out. I walked along the shore to see him test and it was doing the same thing to him. He floated right back to the dock as well. Still charged my card. Avoid this location.

San Diego: Santa Clara Street, and the 2nd location we visited is on Quiviria Road by the Hyatt Mission Bay Hotel. We received a voucher from the hotel for a one hour session on either a Kayak or Paddleboard. We chose the Kayak, which was SO much fun. The attendant Mike couldnt have been more helpful. He provided us with instructions on how to use the paddle to steer the Kayak amd other safey tips . LET ME STRESS that I am a grandmother who has NEVER been in a Kayak- if I can fo it, practically anyone can! It wasnt scary AT ALL, and it was beautiful to paddle down the marina. The weather was gorgeous and the water as smooth as glass. I normally dont do adventurous activities, but we are in San Diego celebrating my husbands Birthday, so I wanted to do this for him. SO HAPPY I did it🙂. Paddling the Kayak wasnt difficult to learn at all, and the seat was very comfortable. Mike was very professional and knowledgeable as well. Mission Bay Sportcenter has many other rentals available as well, including jet skis, jetpacks, amd even powerboats. Be sure amd bring your credit card and ID, because they require that for all rentals. Thank you for all your help, Mike!
