Very friendly staff and was an awesome ride! Cheapest bike was $20 an hour, well worth it. Nice to pedal and also not to pedal. Great way to spend an hour or two and see the ocean, more if your butt can handle that long on a bike :)

There are so many electric bikes on the market and doing the research can be overwhelming. What I liked about Pedego is that the bike sold itself, I knew what I wanted and the options that were important to me. During the test ride I was able to test all those options and the bike performed great! Sean was great to work with, answered all my questions, no sales pressure tactics, he really let the bike sell itself too. Their kindness and willingness to help, great customer service and the Pedego warranties are a bonus to buying a quality electric bike. Fun way to explore San Diego me and my wife had a blast visiting different restaurants riding around the city for our anniversary. Service very polite and decent prices. All in all made my San Diego experience much funner! Definitely recommend.

Best way to experience the Embarcadero. We had a blast with the sit on e-scooter with fat tires. One caveat is website says they rent them for the day, but we maxed out the battery after 2 - 2.5 hours.

Had an absolute ball renting some electric bikes for a few hours and touring around San Diego. I am 6 foot 8 and very hard to fit but they found a bike that fit me well. The only thing was is that my wife and I wanted to come back and buy a pair immediately. We look forward to renting and buying our bikes from Pedego in the near future.

Just spent the day cruising along the San Diego Harbor on an e-bike. This is something I’ve wanted to do for a while now and so happy we came across Pedego! Only once have we used e-bikes so the staff at Pedego were so helpful with instructions and fitting us with the bike that fit us best (I’m kind of short). We will likely buy e-bikes sometime soon and this is who we will check with first.

Pedego provided excellent service and beautiful electric/pedal assist bikes. Their directions for us (first time electric bike riders) was clear and precise. They told us the best way to get to our desired destinations, and made great suggestions for other places we might like to ride (which we took). We had a blast!

Sean was awesome. Full of information at a pace I could keep up with. He had all the answers to all my questions. Showed me all the features of the bike. Bought a second bike that day from a different dealer( they didnt have a seafoam color interceptor) . The buying experience was not even close to what Sean was able to provide ! Pretty dope not gunna lie. Just go over and they do test rides for a ton of stuff. Electric skateboards and ebikes are the way of the future and are now a crucial part of commuting. I would recommend just stopping by for like 20 minuites or so and just test ride some stuff (its really fun).

Sean worked with me to set a price for a weekly rental and the whole experience was great. This is the absolute best way to see San Diego. I rode over 300 miles the week I was there. Whenever the bike was acting up or even if I just wanted to swap out the battery for a fresh one they were very helpful and cooperative.

Guys in there were great! They put a trailer hitch and bike seat on for me no charge. Thanks!

My husband recently purchased a bike from here. The customer service has been top notch from the start. Sean has been really responsive since we left the shop with the new bike. Anytime there has been a question he has been there to answer it in detail. There was an issue with the breaks and Sean came to our house to pick up the bike, fixed it and then returned the bike the next day. For the tune-up he came by to pick up the bike in the morning and returned it that same evening. I am really very pleased with the level of service they have provided us. I highly recommend this shop!

I wish I got his name over the phone, but he asked me questions to determine what kind of experience would be best for me and over delivered. I was strolling along with the wife and we decided to check out renting some bikes. My wife wanted more a regular bike and I wanted to be able to use some power. The bikes let you do both (and they DO carry non-electric bikes too for rent). After trying both, we went electric since Eddie advised we dont do 1 electric and 1 non-electric. The ones we got dont have pedal assist - it was only pedal OR throttle.Eddie was VERY friendly and helpful. He provided a paper map and gave us some tips on where to relax, etc. The rates are very reasonable - they dont offer a half day rate but if you rent it for 3-4 hours, it ends up being the same or less. PLUS I think the other places charge you up front whereas these guys charge you when you return (and seem to be flexible on how they track time). They also may have a discount depending on which hotel youre staying at.They lend you bike locks and clean helmets.Thanks, Eddie!!!I would highly recommend!!

My wife and two daughters rented bikes for a ride along the bayfront and really enjoyed the experience. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful getting them set up. Rental rates were very reasonable, and the bikes were easy to use. They loved the electric assist! They came back a second time that week with my son and me, and the whole family enjoyed a ride together!

An experience everyone should have. Im 62 and my wife is 67 and we both felt like kids again as we racked up about 8 miles on these great bikes. The rep and owner Sean was VERY helpful and informative. He took the time to fully explain the bikes and the controls. I absolutely recommend this company for anyone wishing to experience an e-bike. You wont be sorry.

Everyone was so nice and helpful. I am older and takes me a minute to adjust to new things. They explained how to use the bike, were very patient with me trying it and asking questions. They made sure I knew what to do so I had no problems getting out on my own to ride. Loved the people and service.

Sean and his bike shop Pedego are a class act. Top level service, products and rental bikes at great rates. He sells new electric bikes as well and is very knowledgeable. If you are looking for a good fun family excursion to see some sights while visiting San Diego I highly suggest stopping in! We ended up staying in San Diego after a cruise and stumbled in from our hotel. Sean got us set up with bikes in no time, gave us a bike path map and told us about the best spots to ride. PRO TIP: You do not need to be super fit to go riding with your family. The electric bikes put the fun back into riding and we literally covered many miles of coastline bike paths in no time.

I left a great review of this company on Yelp earlier, and don’t mind sharing that it was alot of fun! Sean was very good at getting us going on the right bikes. They are so easy and effortless. Our 13 year old daughter loved it and so did my wife and myself. San Diego is a great place to be outside and enjoying the views and the people. The bike paths and scenery is so great along the bay shores.

Stopped by to get my first test ride on an e-bike. Sean was very helpful and accommodating, even though I wasn’t making a purchase that day. No high pressure sales, just a lot of useful info and some very high quality bikes to try out. Parking can be a hassle on the SD waterfront, but they give you a voucher for the garage that is right behind the store, couldn’t be easier!

I’ve been to this bike shop twice the last two years while vacationing to San Diego. We rented a tandem and rode down the waterfront to the Coronado Ferry to go across to Coronado. After that we ate lunch then rode the tandem to Imperial Beach. The electric assist tandem really helped even though we are experienced tandem riders. Sean took good care of us and provided maps and route suggestions. There’s a bike trail all the way from the Coronado Ferry dock that goes under the Coronado Bridge and down the Strand to Imperial Beach. You can ride back the same way or go back up the east side via Chula Vista and back to San Diego which doesn’t involve another ferry ride, but the east route is mostly industrial.

Me and my wife went Sunday 8/23 and rented the skooza scooters and had an absolute blast! Good customer service and so much fun would definitely recommend.

So my family and I were looking for something NEW to do in San Diego and we thought we would rent bikes and go for a ride. On our way to the bike rental place I saw a sign that said electric biked and said... BETTER! :) Just incase we got tired or peddling if we went too far.So we meet this really awesome guy names Sean who not only took a good amount of time explaining how things worked but also gave us a more than fair rate and got us ready for our ride. Also providing helmets for the children and a special seat for my 2 year old.Never rode an electric bike before but all I can say is that it was easy! It was set so I can peddle and throttle the power if needed. Just a wonderful bike to ride.I can not begin to tell you how much FUN we had! Yes, it was an awesome time but more important we bonded as a family and that was the most special part. This is now our NEW family thing and Sean is our guy. Excellent service here with Sean. He inquired about our height before we arrived so a couple of bikes could be ready for us. The ebikes were well maintained and very powerful! We were able to take them on the ferry over to Coronado and go all the way down the Silver Strand with ease despite headwinds.We would highly recommend renting from Pedego.

I had a phenomenal experience renting ebikes from Pedego San Diego. Sean and the other staff are really friendly and made me feel like a regular. The location is right on the boardwalk and they offer 1 hour of validation at the attached Marriott parking garage.Edit: Changed to 1 star from 5 in hopes they will see this.I left a 5 star review after their first email asking to leave a review. Since then Ive received 6 emails and 2 text messages asking for a review if I had not done so. Ive tried unsubscribing to their email but their link leads to a non functioning page. I have also tried emailing them back to no avail.Edit#2: problem has been fixed!

Sean serviced the bikes the same day and we got to use the rentals to go and ride Balboa Park while we waited. Awesome.............
