Cool shop, nice atmosphere, great staff. I take my 3 yr old for hair cuts and now my husband is a dedicated client. Our barber Tino is personable and very nice but the entire staff is awesome and we always enjoy our visits. The haircuts are fabulous.

I got my hair cut here today by Jeremy. Not an understatement: this is the best haircut I have ever had. I wish I had supported these guys sooner. The barberia is has an awesome vibe. In a neighborhood filled with womens salons (which give decent but pricey mens cuts), Blacktree is where the men go. The skills and attention to detail here is simply amazing. Five ⭐s.

I asked Tino to work his magic, and he did. He works fast and confidently, and when he swiveled the chair, I saw exactly what I wanted - I felt like a new man.The shop has the option of getting your cut outdoors so it’s COVID-safe, which I opted for. I’ve found my new barber!

Was looking for a haircut but wanted to do it outdoors (thanks for nothing COVID). For a while a lot of shops were offering outdoor services, but most have moved back indoors. The Barberia offered to move a chair outside for my cut, and couldnt be happier with them, the service, or the haircut. Will definitely go back!

I was in the area from out of town. I usually only trust my local barber with my beard, but Giacomo did an amazing job with it. Super friendly and good conversation. Even gave me a hug when I left. The shop itself is also very nice. Highly recommend! Also, Im a poker dealer and their business card is a playing card design, which I thought was pretty cool

So what people may not realize is that all the barbers are also stylists and this place does an amazing cut for women as well. I see Giacomo who is incredibly talented and always does an excellent job of making my very short cuts still look feminine. This place is very inviting of everyone that comes in their door and service is phenomenal.

First time, new barbershop. JP was great! Very courteous staff offering a drink to anyone outside their shop. They go above and beyond to treat people well and give them a good experience aside from providing quality hair cuts. Definitely will be back!

I tried out this spot for the first time today and it was great! Sloan cut my hair and it’s perfect. 👌 I get a skin fade so it’s definitely not an easy cut but like I said he did a great job, it’s perfect. Check this place out if you get the chance.

This is definitely not a place anyone should want to go to unless you just want to drink beer!! We called to make an appointment. Was told to be there at 4:45. We showed up at 4:40. The (guy) said it would be about 20 minutes. Okay! We waited 40 minutes, while he continued to cut the same gentleman’s hair. No explanation, no apology nothing. We left without saying anything, the same as they did to us. What kind of business practice is that??

Discovered this unique spot BEFORE they opened. Walking by the decor caught my eye through the window. Ended up in the chair a couple months later and have been returning ever since. The vibe is on point: a throwback gentlemans barber shop with a certain style that screams San Diego. Have had my hair cut by several of the barbers and each time I have left looking even better than the time before. I highly recommend for anyone in the area as well as for someone new to town looking for a go to barber shop!

I was greeted with a look of pure horror, like I was a party of 10 walking into a restaurant 5 minutes before closing, and was told to maybe try back tomorrow. This was at 4:15 on a weekday when the hours say till 8. There are talented, hardworking barbers all over this neighborhood who want and need new business, so I kept on walking and found one. Im sure yall do great work but I dont care what someones selling if I cant buy it.

Ive been going to this barber shop for a few months now & I can honestly say I love it! My barber, Sloan, is very responsive when scheduling a day to come in & get a haircut. The prices are relatively cheap & the atmosphere is very unique & relaxing. Solid barber shop!
