Great barbers. While most of the customers are maybe 18-40ish, they are willing to do what is possible on an older guy with not that much hair to work with, and do a very good job. Also, Darin & OB Barbershop were the first in the area to offer a beer to customers, something other places are now copying.

Client of 10 years plus, I wouldnt go to any other Barbershop. Hands down, the perfect cut every time. Thanks OB Barbershop for keeping it fresh.

They do not cut long hair, just a heads up for fellow longhairs. I’m sure they do nice work. I was just told they don’t cut long hair but they could trim the beard.

The one reason this place is off the hook is because it is conveniently located to where I was staying. A gentleman by the name Shay cut my hair. It was the best haircut i have ever had. Homie is cool, easy to talk to. He is the man to go to at OB Barber. Hes clean, safe and takes his time when cutting my hair. Makes me feel like a million bucks when I walk out of there feeling fresh. Gracias Shay.

Ive always had a great experience at OB Barbershop and have been coming here almost exclusively for the last 4 years. John, Josh and Shae are excellent barbers.

Been going to this place for about 6 months now. Every time I have gotten a different barber. They are all great. They know how to use the straight razor. They take their time, never feels rushed. They always have a complimentary craft keg on tap and bottled water in the fridge. $21 a cut, Ive found my SD barber.

I am stoked for the new location, since this is my favorite barbershop in So Cal. I used to get my hair cut here even when I moved to LA. His team are the only barbers I trust with my cowlicks and my son loves getting his hair cut, and they dont have any kiddie stuff. They are efficient but they do a great job first. Not only the best cuts in Ocean Beach, but the best cuts in San Diego!! The vibe is chill and laid back. The shop is run very well with great customer service and detailed cuts. Dont cheat yourself, treat yourself- the old school traditional way.

Ive been going to Darin for 6 years, even before he started at the newer shop on Santa Monica in Ob, and I have never had a better barber. Darin includes the neck razor shave with your hair cut which is a lost art with the low cost barbers out there. Comfortable place, he puts your game on, and all the guys who work for him an frequent the shop are good to chat with. Its the Ob version of the old school barber shop with a new feel.

I LOVE this shop! Ive been going to OB Barbershop for the past year. I decided I was going to try my first ever undercut (nape design) and was referred to OB Barbershop. I like that its small and only a few barbers and trust me good things come to those who wait -this isnt a Supercuts. Ryan Ortiz has been doing my designs and each time I walk out with a super fresh cut. I only hear good things about all the other barbers, everyone has there own personal technique which makes for a strong, versatile team. You guys are great!

From the decorations to the atmosphere, the great barbers are just the tip of the ice berg. Ive had the main barber as my hair-cutter since I was 7, and I know a lot of others who also dont want to try new barbers. OB Barbershop is a great representation of Ocean Beach, and the people really just care about you and your hair.

Staff is very courteous and they always have at least four people working at any given time. They take their time and make sure theyre giving you a quality hair cut. They only take cash but its totally worth it.

These guys have been cutting my hair for almost three years. Darren, Josh, and Ryan all put out clean cuts with steady hands. I love this shop, come in have a beer, shoot the shop talk, its got that 1502 vibe that us locals love. The only reason i see anyone not liking their experience here is if you are a impatient, uptight prick that cant wait an hour before getting a haircut, but then again we really dont need that in OB anyway. Keep that money local guys!

Love love love the new location at 1917 Cable Street, OB, just around the corner from his old shop. Darin now has 4 barbers in house, no wait. Same great cut, lots of tvs and cool vibes.

Possibly the worst haircut I have ever received. Barber was quiet and didnt ask many questions regarding what I wanted. Took far too much hair off in some places and left far too much on in others. Terribly uneven cut, with some parts of the hair left comically longer than others. I will never come back here again.

Darin always takes care of his customers. All the guys in this shop are the best at what they do. Plus a cold beer and sports on is icing on the cake.

These guys are awesome, however their posted hours of operations are never accurate, and they often close early regularly. Make sure to call beforehand!

Ive been going here about 6 months. First time at the new location.Darrin gives a great cut. Hands down, the onky reason i keot coming back. Today, i waited an hour to get my haircut, then he just leaves for lunch. Its 3pm, theres 6 guys waiting. One of the other guys says hell be back in like 30 minutes, so i continue to wait.45 minutes later, I give up and go to another Barber. I end up keaving with some retarded looking High and Tight thing that looks like I should be on the cover of some Marine recruiting magazine.He said, he took a really big half inch off. Gotta let this grow out and get Leftys to fix it up :(2 hr trip where the owner bails on the place, I wait in a damn hot waiting room with no AC, and get a haircut for $20 that people laugh at.Giving them a 2 star because Darrin can really cut hair. Im just not going to go back after todays experience.
