Ive gotten multiple haircuts here with both Alan and Concho and they never disappoint. The environment here is laid-back and welcoming. You feel like youre just hanging out with friends while getting an awesome haircut. Fair prices, great cuts, cant really ask for more.

Alan, Concho, Daniel are by far the best Barbers in a very overly saturated market place. They are all true professionals and a testament to the craft. I had an appointment at another barbershop that cancelled without any notice, right before the COVID shut down. I found this place, and even though they were booked and they are appointment only, still gave me a cut due to being inconvenienced by the previous place. Excellent conversation, and a fantastic haircut. Alan was awesome, helpful, and accommodating. This is where I go for haircuts from now on.

Ive been getting haircuts from Alan for a few months already. His work is exceptional and Ive never left feeling unsatisfied. Alan truly cares about his craft and really takes the time to understand the needs of each and every client.The barbershop is extremely easy to find and parking has never been an issue for me. Online booking is extremely convenient and straightforward. The shop has a very chill atmosphere which is what I prefer when getting a fresh cut. Skilled at their craft and although it is pricey you get what you pay for in quality. And quality is hard to find in a barber these days! After getting my hair cut here appx 3-5 times by David, I was disappointed with my most recent experiences. Although 1-2 haircuts were decent, the others weren’t up to par and I found multiple discrepancies after returning home and being able to view it better and more closely than the quick review/reveal at the shop....at which point I’ve always left a 20-25% tip. The first time I assumed this to be a fluke but unfortunately it wasn’t...I found the left side/fade to be far more extreme than the right, in regards to the last two cuts...a noticeable difference-one I had to let grow out for multiple weeks. The first cut was with shears, the 2nd was a scissor over comb taper. David is a really cool guy but in all honesty I wont go back here again.

Found these guys when I moved to the Normal Heights area. So much better than the chain stores Id been going to previously.

Decent haircuts, if you can get it. They work by “Appointment only”. I had 5 of those appointment where I would show up on time and sit and wait for 20+ minutes while he is working on the last dude.So I book, and show up 15 minutes late so I ain’t wasting time there. I get educated that this is “a service” and that I ain’t getting my hair cut all in a combative tone clearly full of emotions and that the only times I had to wait were when he was late (aka every time) and that he ain’t cutting my hair today since now I am late.Long story short, if drama and inconsistent timing of the service is what you are into this place will work great for you. I will be trying my luck elsewhere. Hope this helps someone.

Eh, nice work...about halfway. Never know till you get home though and find half your head has a longer length than the other. Still better than Supercuts but well below par for a real barber shop. Completely silent too, zero conversation in entire place, despite it being a barber shop! Wannabe hipster place. Though thats the definition of a hipster...? Spot on, guess.

Nice dudes but terrible haircut. Asked for a high fade and a trim at the top. Hair came out looking worse than it did before. Fade was terrible and the top was uneven. Hands down the worst haircut I’ve ever gotten.

I am a Picky person when it comes down to who cuts my hair, it was a month that i found this barbershop specifically the barber David. Hands down the best barber in town !! I always come back because i leave satisfied.

Been here 4 times in total. I was really pleased with my experience the first time over a year ago. Great haircut and service. 2nd and 3rd were just disappointing. However it is my last visit to that place a week ago the reason for writing this review.I think that most people that go to these kind of barbershops are willing to pay more not because the place is nicer looking than supercuts or for the beer (which I wasnt even offered on my last visit) We go there because we expect to get a better service from someone skillful and somewhat loves what he does, unlike supercuts or a similar place.Anyway, I decided to leave this review because I am tired of these overpriced places only living off their cool barbershop concept. They are starting to forget to pay attention to the quality of their service.First, the only thing that I want when I go to these kind of places is to make sure the guy cares about his work and knows that the most important thing is what the client likes and is asking for. How many times have we gone for a haircut, asked them to cut not more than a certain length and they end up doing whatever they want, sometimes cutting 4 to 5 times the length of what you specifically requested?Well, during this visit, I only wanted to shorten the length of my hair as If I could go back in time 2 weeks so that I always keep the same look without looking like I got a haircut. I requested to cut no more than half an inch everywhere and to keep the same proportions and style. Well, the first bunch of hair I see falling off my head was at least 3 inches long....and yeah, the proportions were not kept the same either, and the style is different now, and I will have to wait a few months to get back to the length I wanted. So thank you!The barber can probably think that its not such a big deal but they have to understand that the client is the one paying for it, and the one that has to look at the hair everyday. The clients like us that choose to spend more and go to a barbershop like this, we do so because we have a particular style that is important for us to feel comfortable with and to keep. We think that our style plays an important role on the way we feel and interact with society. For this reason, the barber needs to pay close attention to what the client is requesting, and so that the barber has an idea of what the client has in mind and doesnt do something without consulting the client first.Second. I feel that most places like this one are too used to doing the same kind of haircuts that got popular a few years ago. Im talking about the fades and that kind of styles. It seems as though they do the same haircut to everyone regardless of the clients requests, because they have gotten too used to that.Third. I did not appreciate that all the barbers there were too distracted talking to each other and just having fun laughing and joking around. If im paying 30 bucks for a haircut, I want the barber to pay attention to what he is doing and to my requests. The good experiences Ive had with barbers in the past are when the barber is constantly talking about what hes doing and getting feedback from me.Lastly, I think that attention to the client is more important than the skills the barber has. If the barber does not know how to listen, his skill are useless, at least to me. Personally, I just want to get out of there knowing that the barber did exactly what I told him to do, and if it does not look good its because maybe I didnt say things right so it was my fault. If the barber cares and knows how to listen, id for sure go back!I will keep looking for THE place, but this one I know I will not return.
