Been a loyal customer of AJs for over a decade now. This review is long overdue. Simply put, I trust nobody else with my hair. He makes me look good in all the right places and has kept me presentable for this timeline called life. Will continue to go to him until he lays down his clippers. And just to speak on the negative reviews on here, these people dont understand or a appreciate what a good haircut from a barber really is. They should just stick to the strip mall stylists.

Asked for a trim, bring up the sides & back. Said I liked how I cut, bleached, and dyed my hair, just wanted to clean it up a little. He chops all of my white highlights off, made the left & right sides unbalanced, said he left my hairstyle flexible when it only goes forward. Literally impossible to style now. Canceling model shoots & content creation for the next couple months. Might just shave my head. He was nice, though. Worst $28 Ive spent this year.Edit: Found out he nicked my left & right side with the clippers. Bleeding from it. Great.

Dont get me wrong. The guy that did my hair 👎 but while I waiting the lady did some really good haircuts. But I will never go back to that place. Ended up at another barbershop right after leaving there.

By far the best barbershop in SD. You cant go wrong with any barber there. AJ, Chris, Christina, and Omar and simply some of the best barbers in SD. Ive gone to so many barbershops over the past 15+yrs here in SD and I finally found my shop. Highly highly recommend!

A good barber shop with great barbers!

They dont make their clients wear masks during COVID quarantine even though its the law right now.I showed up and left immediately after seeing one of their clients sauntering around without a mask.Ive been coming here for almost 3 years and I wont be returning.

Relaxing and easy going barber shop experience. Omar made sure that I felt confident in how my cut was going to look, by asking good questions and providing some feedback. Excellent cut. I will be back and highly recommend.

I recently moved to San Diego and I had to change my hairstyle because of my hairline .My barber was Mason and he was very helpful. Brought some pictures, asked what he thought and we came up with something that would fit my head. He was easy to talk to and kept asking if everything was alright with the cut. I asked him to change a few things and he said no problem and did everything exactly how I wanted it. Its more expensive than the chain barber shops but you pay for the service.

Excellent location, unique decor and great service. Loved my cut and the shop is truly one of a kind. A little off the street, tucked into a little courtyard, but very worth a visit!

My 2 year old found this place while cruising with his skateboard. He had to stop and get inside coz they had a chopper bike in front of the shop and inside was cool decorated. Since then I get haircut at the Capitol barbershop and happy about it. They have moved two blocks down recently and opened the 2nd shop in point loma.

I moved to the US recently and I did not find a place to cut my hair which I liked. The other places I tried were expensive, slow and the results wouldnt match my expectations.However, after 11 months, I have found a place which I am calling my usual.Its very easy to book an appointment, you dont need to call nor spend more than 1 min on the webpage.They are fast, friendly, the place is cute and cozy and they do great cutting hair, they know what they are doing.I was attended by Cristina, who nailed my expectations.Prices are super cheap and the webpage will show you how much your service will when you book. My haircut was just 23$.I will be back.

AJ does the best fades in San Diego. Been going to him for 5 years. You can tell his pride in his work just by how much love and detail he put into his shop. Appointments only which is awesome, no waiting.
